丂廾闩尺长工㠪 – How to CREATE your own Minecraft Modpack! [FORGE & FABRIC]

So um in this video i’ll be showing you how to create a mod pack through the curved forge launcher because it’s pretty much the simplest and easiest way for you to create your own mod packs the reason i’m doing is someone else asked in my previous video minecraft 2

The video of me showing how to install it with that said you subscribe there’s only two apparently only two percent of you are subscribed i know it’s only two percent because most of my views come from the curseforge page but anyways let’s get into it so um

First what you can do after you’ve installed the curved launcher and you uh signed in and stuff like that you press create custom profile when you press that we can do whatever the modpack name you want to call it um this loads uh whatever version i’m gonna do commonly known 1.615

And then forge you can go to a higher version i’m going to keep it at that one for now and then press great then it creates an instance view to use or test your remote back on um what i would recommend is for you to search core to find my modpack

Core that i created um i’ll do my latest update it but you can do whatever you want if you click on this modpack car it’s basically these are the core mods i use for my mod packs this can help you start your own mode back over core has

The best performance mode to help you with your mod pack to perform great so i reckon recommend this if you want to start to base use it as a baseline to start your modpacks on as it has the performance mods and as fancy minion craft trigger you can

Use to edit stuff um i have two versions or four versions but the my two micro versions one point sixteen points five and one point seventeen point one both for fabric and four for each one so let’s say you want to do a four two mode pack then you press the install button

For the one point six mod five one what we’re gonna do so when that installs it will take a bit it will install like 20 mods i think and then you should have a good baseline to start with your modpack with but also remember you can

Create the test one like i just did here and then you can start creating your modpack but i’ll be using the modpack cord as a baseline to pretty much help make it easier for you now after this is done um for tests you can just pretty much start adding mods like

Pretty add more and you can put mods in for my one you just press the three dots at the top after left click on it profile options allow content management for this profile press done and then when you go back on it then click installed mods

Then you can go add more content and start adding mods so what you would probably want to start doing is uh updating the mods here that’s me just updating it pretty much so let’s say you you already put out the modpack and then you want to do another update for the

Modpack you basically can just start by looking at the mods here and pressing updates what i recommend is for you to check every mod and check their change logs in case there’s a game breaking mod update that can happen sometimes though you start with seven on this uh specific

Version the 1.6.5 forged one you start with 17 mods it might change in the future if i update the mod pack again i just recently updated this one it has a really good performance mods and some necessary mods like paxi use your data packs and i recommend using packs if

Your data packs from load any up fancy menu if you wanted to change your main menu make it look nice and everything for your p for your mod pack i’ll show you how to do that and then just general performance mode and graph tweaker after curve is you’re gonna have

To learn that on your own it’s not too hard to learn i learned it myself so yeah let’s say you want to add mods you just press add more content and then you can go by featured or whatever you can start by featured but the one thing you need to note is the

More you scroll down the more mods load eventually like after probably 20 loads it starts getting laggy but this depends on your pc and the internet connection i would say so for like let’s say you want to update your more pack what i usually do is go to the latest update it

And you can easily see new mods you want to add and stuff like that so let’s say i want to go back to featured i want to add mouse tweaks i press install it installs that mod for me there you go uh let’s say i want the journey map that map

I want apple skin or i have clumps already in for you you want controlling to make the keybinds easier you want quark you want patchouli patchouli achille is a like a data driven mod as a sister that is used by other mods um you can do bottoms of

Plenty of one but i recommend uh eau de bond should go i just think it’s a it’s better bonds in my opinion let’s say you want way stones and that’s basically just a bit of how to install mods you can also do it a manually way manual way

And when you did them anyway you press the three dots press open folder it opens the instance for you and then the mods are already here the ones i started installing and the ones already in there so note you can’t put optifine in here as it’s not um what that’s hosted on the

Forge website you only put mods in here that are hosted through the curse for its website um after you put them on in here or you can do if you want you can like instead you can go to the case watch website you can go to

Let me just go to the mods page real quick press mods or you know doesn’t matter press mods and then you can choose the version here if you want at 1.6.5 And whatever that loads and let’s say i wanted to install journey map through this all you have to do through the website all you have to do is go to journeymap go to the latest 1.6.5 impress files if you want so i’ll just go files for you now

And after that load you look for 1.6.5 the latest one you press download and it will download for you just keep as it’s just a jar file and then you go to downloads folder and then you drag it into the mods folder but i would just recommend do it through

Adding more content like this it’s just much easier much simpler and that’s what this video is all about now after you installed your mods and stuff there is a potential you can run into problems as you add mods that don’t work well together or you just get crashes

But for the time being we added a few mods let’s press play it will load this up and this will load and sign in for you if you haven’t signed in already sign in uh your first time setup might take a while to install but uh for me i already

Had a launch i recommend going settings and press keep the launcher open while games are running do this every time you press that blade play button because if you do it too many times uh mojang will lock you out of your account if you’re logging in and out too much

Let’s let’s load up the modpack we created so as this as you can see ji tweaker encountered an error during the service jesus during the sighted setup event phase now sometimes just this happens randomly it’s just there is something just random one of crashes that could happen randomly that might happen actually

Because is there a craft to occur even in here no that’s why i see i don’t think craft recursion see now we can see how to identify issues in uh in the mod packs let’s load it up again if it does show that error of the jei tweaker then

Yes okay so that means ai trigger needs to be deleted as craft tweaker is not here go back this is laggy there you go now if we press play again it should be able to launch there’s going to be a lot of there’s going to be a lot of hours of

Testing that you’re going to have to do if things go wrong and a lot does go wrong when you do it but usually it goes right so this is the main menu uh it’s a pretty customized one as uh it’s the mod that corner that i’m using

Um you’re going to change so for to use fancy menu i’m not going to show you how to use it properly i’m just going to show you how quick way so a current menu there’s a layout in the manage layout i already have created the main menu

Layout right here you can press new to create a new one if you want like this but let’s exit that go back to layout manage main menu edit and you can edit the layout like the one i have right now you can change right click uh set orientation delete change the

Name change hover label whatever i just have a pre-configured one you need to do and to change the background you can press change background and you can choose between panoramas and animations and images but go to the fancy menu okay swatch page and then through there you can check how to use

Fancy menu it’s not hard to use it’s pretty easy the more you just mess around with it and yeah about it so uh we can go single player create a world always do cheats so you can like fly around um we added quark some you might want in

Case you want to use the realistic wall type in your modpack you want to test that choose realistic then just let it load to get rid of this top part of function menu after you did your main menu you can just press disable customization information customization controls

Okay as you can see we have journey map installed hey yo um yeah and this is now is this is basically your mod pack with mod installed you can press um you can install a mod that sure that has a mod menu in here that’s a quark button if you want to

Manage stuff there so let’s say um let’s go on the ground for a sec let’s say i don’t like the caverns or the uh speliothms or whatever they’re called or these blocks that quark adds what you can do is you can um either go into quark settings here but we’re gonna do

It through the configs to do it through the configs is tab out of your game go to three dots press open folder go to config search the mod you want to edit that’s quirk i know those stones and spelling themes can’t record because i’ve been doing this for like eight months

Nine months so what you do is control f oh yeah one thing is these files the tml files or whatever files right uh when you want to open them open with notepad that’s probably going to be a good starter for you to use to use notepad because it’s pretty simple

Open it with notepad press ctrl f and let’s search spill and go down so spill your themes so let’s go tab back in and these things want to disable them let’s go back to the um the config file you press false make sure it’s all on lower case

And then press ctrl s to save or just file save so the next time you load up a world they won’t um on these things anymore so that’s how basically that’s just a basic way of how to use a change of config you can also those caverns that i just see

Um i think they’re right here crevices possible you can turn them off monster boxes so it’s just all about looking through and editing whatever you want now you don’t need to know java or get coder i didn’t know anything when i started this is basically easy to look at and do so after

You change a lot of configs whatever you want let’s say there’s a crash that happens of course there was already a crash you go to the instance folder again you go to crash reports and then you check that later crash the latest one we have was because of the

Mod loading wasn’t working the mod load loading failed and it’s because of uh ai tweaker i’ve got it was called uh ji trigger yes because to read a crash report or a latest vlog you need you’re gonna have to learn this yourself um it’s pretty easy

For forge to read what’s wrong to know what’s crashing and what’s wrong a fabric it’s very weird and difficult but most of the time like here you can see in this whole gibberish thing let’s say ji tweeker didn’t specify anything in here or here or whatever here

Um and then somehow you see the a mod called ji tweaker you know that mod is the problem so sometimes you can either fix it through a config change or through deleting the mod or just doing something else but a reader crash log it’s all about uh testing just test a lot

Look around keep looking until you find oh i see it says ji tweaker now there i know i added that mod that’s probably the problem um but there’s also other ways like you can tell you what’s wrong with the mod what i did but it doesn’t say the mod you

Just gotta figure it out on your own um for the logs the latest logs let’s say you don’t get a crash and you get to the latest log you can usually scroll all the way down it will tell you what the crash was but yeah this is just all about testing

Trying to figure out yourself what’s wrong and just looking through all this gibberish positive is just gibberish but you can probably easily understand everything it says even if you’re not a coder so um let’s go back let’s say i don’t want controlling i delete it not going away now because some reason

Curse forge is being lying for some reason again i want to reiterate that this is the simple like there’s other ways to do this but i’m just showing you a very simple and basic way how to do it i’m not trying to make it too complicated just make it simple

So you can make your modpack make whatever you want upload it to curseforge how to make a server pack just all just like no just basic stuff not to make it too complicated let’s say um i done the games here i’m like okay i think my mop pack is cool

Usually what i do is i go in spectator mode like um now just to test the server performance or single player performance for now it’s just like before i start before i start uh going testing this on a server if you want to set up a server pack is test this on single

Player see how well your uh mod pack can run while doing just like loading chunks usually the best way to determine how well your modpack does in performance is by if it can load chunks fast not this fast this is really really fast usually the normal speed

I like the normal speed to test it’s creative actually it’s a bit slow knock online i don’t know why it’s that slow as long as it like loads like this fast i would say in your mod pack the performance should be good but like this is how i just generally test the performance

But there is many other ways like using spark profiler this spark in this yes i’ve included spark into spark profiler i’m out 60 seconds and i will give you a link after 60 seconds to determine or the performance that you’re how well your modpack performs but with only like 20 mods the broadband

Is performing very well of course as it has the performance mods in it and it’s only very a few mods so i’m i see that in the overworld by perform my modpack is performing pretty good um i keep forgetting the commands to spawn into the nether so what i always do is always

Test overload nether and end if you if you have other dimensions test them because sometimes when you add mods and you go to the nether it just crashes or whatever and then also the same thing i usually do is going spectator and just low chunks to see the performance

But every time you add a mod just do testing best yeah do just do tests to see if the mod works properly or not the best to do is do testing on a server because usually it crashes on the server and not on single player for some reason and i don’t know why

There’s probably some reason why so let’s say oh yeah i’m done testing on um in another let’s get to the end huh let’s go test the end i’m in the end there we go and let’s see i haven’t crashed in the end let’s locate i am city

This is really begin city holy crap um yeah so basically this is how just just make sure to test your mods that’s basically what i’m trying to say um yeah that should be it and then let’s just go back to the folder again or your instance let’s say you want a

You know that better end or better in data pack better in city data pack let’s say you’re the plan in minecraft and you want the better in city data pack you press the download data back but button but you have to make sure you have better end installed so of course

You go to add more content you can type better whatever you want to do or just end and then you press install for it there and then for uh so that dot after that data pack downloaded you go to config and paxi data packs and then fill uh put the data

Back in here and that will load the data back every time you make a new world on single singleplayer or multiplayer that’s how to use uh to do data packs um i’m not going to show you too much how to do things i’m just showing the basic stuff but

There’s a lot you can like look around and learn um let’s see what else a performance a good performance mod to check out there’s also dynamic view to check out and now let’s say my modpack is done it’s working properly on single player i’ve changed all the configs i wanted to change

And i think i also now want to test it on multiplayer and make a server pack so the easiest way to do that of course is download the forge dollar just type it forward and then since we have 1.6.5 we press that uh the latest or you can do recommended

Just i’ll do recommend it for now you press the installer so you’re going to need this installer in order to install the server and now i’ll show you how to make a server pack too after this press skip should start downloading done i’m just going to drag this to the

Desktop to make it easier for us so um create a new folder called let’s say uh modpack testing and then open this installer which is how long is this video going for 20 minutes uh press install server press the three dots desktop where i save my modback testing folder

Press ok and then okay again now install the necessary files to make your server uh for 1.17.1 this is a bit different you get instead of it getting uh you will get a run.bat file but in this one we have to make our own own random

Bat file yeah so for 1.72.1 it will create the run.bat file for you and 1.6.5 and lower they you don’t they don’t create a a run.bat file so you have to create your own one so in order to create around the bad file you need to right click press

Add new which is new and then create a text document open this text document um i’ll put this in the description paste this in so for uh generally modded servers i would just do 5 gig and 5 gig if it’s like between 100 to 200 mods so there’s five gig uh

Max and five gig uh for max minimum um so uh this you see how this says forge one point sixteen point five thirty two point two point zero um make sure that this does match it because this uh run.bat will run this server but with more ram for you

After you’re done putting that in press save as then type run.bat and then save it it should save as a run.bat so basically what this does all it does is instead of running this one it will make sure you run the this amount of ram make sure this

Um forge one six seven five point thirty two whatever make sure this matches the forged version you’re using right here if this was forged one percent by five thirty six point two point eight make sure you change this one to an eight but this one’s point zero

So that’s it and now you can delete this new text document so when we press one when we run this first and let’s say it comes up with this where it says could not create java virtual machine a fatal exception occurred this can either mean a few

Things but it mainly means that your java you don’t have java installed um yeah first of all you don’t have java installed and that it’s 32-bit version you need a 64-bit version in order to run the random bat so um i’ll put a link in the description or you just type in java

8 64 bit oh Down the driver for windows um now let’s go back no i want the offline installer yes you can see 64 a windows offline 64-bit i’ll put that in the description for you too install that and then it should work i’m correct just a lot all about testing these things install i’ll keep that

Minimized for now for um 1.17.1 uh version you’re gonna have to need to install java 16. if you have java 16 installed and java 8 and you try to run this it will tell you that you need to uninstall java 16. again this is just a simple way now

After doing that this should be able to run it’s running and now it stops as we need to accept the euler files before we do that is we press the three dots press open and in your modpack testing or in the yeah in the mod pack you’re trying to test

Copy and paste the config files over you want the mods over and then from that any default configs if you have or scripts um but for now it’s just config and mod after dragging your config mods over uh you can go to the mods folder so some mods require

Uh some mods are client-side and sometimes they just crash the server and doesn’t start it so you need to remove them sometimes when you remove a server a client mod from the server it will show that the service inc um the serverless is not compatible but let’s just run the server without

Alternating any mods but it should run normally and it should work as i’m one of the mods or all of the mods over there i know will work on the server it should be fairly easy fast startup as it’s only a few mods preparing world

Uh when this reach 100 it will say done it’s done now if we launch the game after this is done um uh launching we can restart uh restart your game just or restart your mod pack just to make sure you have all changes saved so we can go multiplayer let’s just delete this

Um type in local config logo config localhost i’m sorry this is yep uh we type on localhost we can see compatible fml modded serverless 25 mods present now we should be able to join everything is fine one thing i will mention though i will show in a sec

And now we are on our multiplayer server to test a multiplayer site just to see if and there’s any crashes or anything let’s close this disconnect real quick alt tab and um let’s install one more mod called inventory inventory hud plus close the game so that you can load the mod up

And um let’s not add the server side because it’s a client-side mod so let’s restart our server again and launch the mod backup again so our server is up and running since i added the inventory plus mod and it’s a client-side mod it doesn’t need to be on

The server it’s showing this x so some mods do that some mods don’t yeah so since it’s saying incompatible fml modded server server mods list is not compatible i’ll still be able to join because i added a client-side mode that is not required on the server as you can see

So if you don’t want that to show you can either add the inventory plus mod into the server side but some client-side modes will crash your server and you need it to later from server-side in order to launch the server but it will show that

X if you don’t want that x to show you can type in i guess server and it’s called my server is compatible you can install that and it will get rid of the x in the check mark so um let’s join my server back up and

The usual thing i do again is test overall test all the dimensions to make sure things don’t crash because my tip is things crash a lot more on multiplayer or server side instead of single player so yeah so let’s say after i’m done testing on multiplayer i press disconnect cancel quit

Now we can go back to minecraft at the top here and then let’s say i’ve have all the mods i changed all the configs in here um what you also can do is like have a separate folder with all the changes you did and then just load those up but

Let’s say the configs are done i edited whatever i also wanted i added my options and now i want to export my modpack because everything has been tested server side and single player and it’s ready to ship it’s ready to go out press the three dots press export

And then you name it whatever you want let’s just change this to testing version 1.6.5 or v1 or v1.1 or vab 0.1 the abcd i don’t like it whatever um let’s do testing version one um make sure to check part config make sure the check mark whatever else you wants the mods

Uh resource packs if you have resource packs you want to ship in case do that um the options you want to ship it just tick the ones you want to ship and that you edit it you press export i usually do it to my desktop and do whatever you want

I just get rid of that and now we press save and it will export our modpack for us wow i’m doing a lot of talking okay um so your modpack as you can see has done exporting it’s right here right now called testing version one

Now of course you can go to your bot pack let’s say this was yours you go to file well first you need to create and then you need us upload the file then they need to get approved but after it’s approved you can just press file

Upload you drag it over or press open and you choose that one you change the display name to whatever you want to whatever beta release alpha the change log and then choose this uh supported version like 1.6 move up we just did after it’s done you press submit now let’s say

It’s done submitting um let’s say this was uh the testing modpack v1 and i wanted to upload my server pack i’ll show you doing the server pack in a second to upload your server bracket press additional upload additional files and then you press um then you upload it here

And choose server pack release whatever so let’s say um this is just the way i do it just to make it easier create a new folder called testing v1 server pack or whatever you want to call it your modpack version whatever server pack and then in here i would drag the

Mods that you tested on your modpack testing right here on the server side you drag the mods in it’s still being used so i need to close the server drag the mods in drag the config in let’s just say you had default config for some reason do that

Now you can ship it just like this and people themselves can make their server with the forge launcher or the fabric launcher or you can drag the ford forge installer with it with the run.bat if you want let’s just say i do that just to make it easier for them

Then i just right click and compress the file and then it should zip it for you into a compact file here and then just to show you again after you submitted your file you go to files let’s say this was a testing version one click on it after opening that you press upload

Additional files with that version one you can choose file and then choose the let’s go back to desktop use testing v1 uh testing v1 server pack press open and then it will load it up for you do the display name whatever choose the server pack and whatever change log and done

And then after that it should uh depending on it can take hours it can take a few minutes for it to go approved or under review um when you ship when you ship your modpack make sure only curseforge hosted projects are in your mods folder if you have optifine in

There and you export it and you upload it it will get rejected and tell you to remove it so that’s how you do it um what else and that should really be it how to create a mod pack basic simple way to do it

Um just to show you a quick way of doing it for fabric um let’s just type in fair break load or download just a quick way for you to show you how to do fabric fabric loader here press um There and then download installer this will just like the forge installer we download it’s installing its own installer since this fabric let’s just drag it down below double left click open it and then you can choose client or server we want server this is just for testing server teacher version

Use whatever loader version press the three dots let’s do modpack testing again and press install after that’s installing press download server jar and generate and then for this also do a run.bet like i did for the other one but this time oh actually make it creates a start.bat for you never mind

There you go if it isn’t if there isn’t a start.bat but there will be because okay there will be a startup battery that’s just a fast and quick way to do the fabric setup and it’s the same as forge with the the mods and stuff one other thing

To note is if you add fabric mods to forge or forge more to fabric it won’t work and yeah i think this is i just this is the most basic way of doing um of creating a mod pack uploading it creating server back it’s a simple way

This is not meant to be too complicated this is just meant to be an easy and simple way for you to start your modpack because i like seeing new creators create new things i just like it uh with that said uh if you like this video it
