🎫 Castle Arlcliff: Mages Guild Castle Tour! w/ Zyridius

Hey what is up guys Jill Boise and welcome back to another minecraft video so today guys I am standing right next to the man himself Lord Daka visiting his castle our cliff yeah what’s up so yeah it’s been a while we’ve got some exciting stuff to show everyone and so

Take it away dude I’m excited yeah it’s gonna take a while it’s gonna be a long video it’s gonna be a long tour it’s taking me a hell of a long time to do the interior on this especially so yeah it’s quite it’s quite good so the idea

With this I’ll explain the kind of history because I’ll make another more sense this used to be like an old fort that was used in some war blah blah blah blah blah and it got sold to the majors guild so the stone part of the actual

Castle think of that as just like the fort lair and then what happened is when they bought it they built on top of it to build that kind of like wooden structure yeah so all of that kind of wooden stuff with all the white bits of

It that’s all kind of added after the fact to make it into more of a wizard II kind of castle but before that it was just a base for really so it’s been converted to to act as the majors guild for this entire kingdom and yeah it’s quite interesting looking I think it’s

Got like typical kind of wizard hat type tower roofs which are actually really fun to play around with really difficult as well but you know I totally recommend like playing around with your roof designs and trying to get them luckily I was able to copy and paste quite a few

Of these because they ended up being the same size but that was all quite nice good I love the stories like the the background story that you give when when you make a build like this like you’ve got you’ve got a story you’ve got the backstory even to the actual you know

Broken bits of rubble sort of thing you’ve got a story behind that that that’s something that draws me to this god I’d do it it kind of though I find always helps you build it helps if you think about like this area and you go it’s really defensible one how a major

Is gonna be here there’s no hours and old for and actually because it’s high in the mountains there’s not really much around so if you were a lord of this land yeah you’ve got the woods down there but there’s it’s not really close enough to anything so

It’s not really a trade hub it’s not got a port or anything like that so actually I was trying to fill it fill in the gaps by doing this hole that old fault thing it was bought by the mages guild and then it kind of works so that kind of

Helps I think create some rich law and yeah would be built if you let it influence you build then it helps as well so because they’re majors we’ve course got the idea being with this as well we’ve got I didn’t want to do like some Harry Potter type houses but I did

Want to have two distinct teams and so I went with red versus blue it’s just gonna it’s like the natural choice so there are two houses as such which is just red and blue or fire and ice ice and fire whichever one you want and of course because red and blue makes purple

That’s why we’ve got purple in the middle so the idea being that with the mages you might start in one of those houses but eventually you’ll become both and be joined and all that guy stuff so I was trying to do some symbology with colors I guess I don’t like it so this

Is a some sort of fighting tournament II thing so we’d be casting spells at each other like Gandalf or whatever and of course there’d be a lot of people you know watching the idea with this was that the there was a tournament on as well so there’s actually down in the

Valley some caravans so like some some gypsy like caravans where they’ve gone all the way I don’t know if it’s worth seeing those and I actually I don’t think the interiors are done on those that’s not look at those it’s like this we have extra stuff so that was this

Look at these these banners dude ah I cannot take credit for them I plan it minecraft and I saw it and I went and it’s just changed the colors of those and they’re gonna work perfectly so yeah looks awesome doesn’t it I mean it they look like little little hooded

Hooded mages so I like it it’s absolutely fantastic so yeah all ideas just stole it and tweet the colors look MC for it really so what we’ll do is we’ll get onto the castle later because it’s such a big thing but we will go and

Have a look at a couple of the extra buildings around so things like as we go up here to the groundskeepers Hut so are heavily influenced by my Harry Potter by Hagrid’s house that whole kind of like small round think I wanted to make it a

Little bit more wooden it’s a less stone on it but go for a similar kind of reef really pointed so yeah but and it’s also not got two circles how capitis houses actually got two circles or I think the hexagons interior-wise it’s deal interior’s with like circular

Stuff is really weird you just end up kind of like cramming everything eases yeah just gonna make a maze of just weird stuff so we got yeah kind of traditional big bed good old wardrobe type stuff you know really kind of basic interiors but kind of works and then the spare bedroom as

Well which is all you really need is some somewhere to cook some food it’s got a loaf of bread as well I love these player heads I absolutely love player heads we got back in this isn’t this smoke ever since they put out the fire and smoke it just sets off everything a

Lot more done it is such a good block but the particle effects are just fantastic absolutely fantastic absolutely love them yeah it’s nice a nice little simple house I just I just thought it needed something around here cuz always it was just like this blank

Blank land really mmm so if we got the hill green house I decided to build it on an angle purely because it looked cool it’s different than their it’s different yeah I think it needed it as well from the light shape of everything so yeah it’s just a small little greenhouse so

If they’ve got like herbology type classes or whatever then they can at least you know gotta have a wander in this nice greenhouse I like it anyway it’s great quite chilled lots of plants everywhere that fits really well on the corner here mmm doesn’t it just looks a

Cage that’s that’s perfect yeah I love angled stuff whoa and this year weird rock thing yeah I lightly a henges it’s already a hedge but yeah just weird rock things honestly I wanted to fill the the ground up and this just gonna worked weird rock things do it they do don’t

They then what we’ve got is actually if we fly up here because it would walk around it have a small Tower this is actually the Rookery so well it’ll make more sense when we go in but we obviously don’t have like Ravens or anything like that in Minecraft we need

Them but we do have parrots so we’ve got bats so we got some parrots and some bats in here courage and bats yeah he’ll do that where’s the bats come advanced to go have a para bat para bat yeah so there is literally that’s all there is in here the idea being you

Know they’d write some letters and send off the parrots that’s pretty much it really not too much on that simple little tower just meant that at least we have that separates today yeah girls go onto the balcony kick him out and off they’d fly I’ll sing and mainly like

Meister type stuff as well with these majors so very games of Thrones game of frenzy but you know what I wish that show I missed that show yeah it’s good and then that path which just goes down to the gate which goes down into another valley and that valley goes on to more

Builds and it just keeps on going on pretty much this entire world is just expanding constantly so we’ve started to join up a lot of the builds this one goes down into another kind of dwarven of a dwarven area and then from there also

Goes on to a little town so it’s all all expanding which I’ll have you have you back for another tour of those when they’re all all totally done now is this the same map is that when we reviewed the last build yep it isn’t easy yes so

This is actually just up the valley from it so there is actually a road that joins the two actually it’s technically two roads cuz that road there that goes through that valley goes a long way around the the kinda like mountains to get there yeah the main the main road

That we started on my actually joins all the way up we’ve with the with the other town all right good that’s quite cool so now we get to go on to the cool bit which is the interior of the mages guild you might want a lantern

Or something so there you go that’s real and um just cuz it some bits are a bit dark it’s not that bad it’s just with shaders you know it’s like yeah good so um yeah so again going on on the whole fort thing it’s got a small hall so not

As good as not as big as the clicked off one but you know a nice sort of small win one lots of the banners around the different houses and the arc mage would sit down and just be like H Lord Decker yeah actually I have got a name for the

Dude I can’t remember it is but it’s a it’s up on the walls somewhere yeah I would play in Where’s Wally would where’s the sign where’s the sign yeah it’s upstairs in the last last night–but i can’t more his name is but he’s got a cool name

He’s Alvin he’s an Alvin fire from I think is his name I can’t remember a small storeroom just filled with well stuff girl of stuff awesome I like the roof how you’ve done that yeah that I’ve done all the way all the way along to make it look like it is

Properly supported and it also just happens to be able to allow me to hang lanterns off so it’s one of those dual purpose type things now you probably want a battering break so I feel free to change the privy to use the Privy yep that just hangs off the wall and will

Drop into those nice ponds over there so you know so free at least they can wash the hands here is what I mean that’s one thing some library yeah yeah at least they can wash that’s always good voice these books would be pretty em well oh you’ll

Be will be like soap and berries wouldn’t be handling a hand sanitizers now well now you can get soap you can make it out of animal fat you know so that’s always good that’s always quite good which always fun really weird apparently can also use like ash as well

And mix that up yep suit suits Jimmy please oh it’s crazy so this then just after that little library that we’ve got there goes into the the feast hall so this is I decided to drop it to try and make it feel a bit bigger that’s why

I’ve got a couple a couple kind of tables going down not tables a couple of stairs going down so you know students will just sit here and eat a cake and have beer or whatever and the light kind of stuff I’ve got over on this side very

Very small kitchen I I cannot imagine how bad the food would be from mages I mean it I just I just imagine it’d be like really horrible Brown soup you know that kind of stuff yeah yeah don’t really know what it is probably some mushrooms in it you know that kind of I

Kind of thing Small you know teachers table type thing I didn’t have loads of rooms this minute you know it’s quite small but you got your beer there you can show you’re happy with that I like this and you got your your flagon barrels or you know yep

Yep so again trying to do the red versus blue we’ve got red on one side and blue on the other you’ll see that quite a lot through through all of all the actual place this kind of door over here just goes up to the top floor I’m not really

A top area of this it was just like a bit of a storage in here as well it is yeah it’s just a one of you in medieval buildings if you ever have anything where you don’t know what to do with it storage stuff it was always perfect

We’ll go back down there as well a bit hunts like hoarders they are yeah they just just stuff I could just imagine being mr. so this at least goes onto that top section which is just I was gonna do something here and I was trying to base it but I’ve decided just to

Leave it as a nice open space because it just kind of works for that but I do quite like the while of the little trapdoor kind of thing to stop rain getting him clover looks nice cobbled together lots of planks and like that stuff yes yeah but

You’re actually holes as well yes I kept the old for stuff so they didn’t they didn’t add anything out I didn’t change anything so this would have been like all from the olden days I’ve just really maintained it alright let’s go back down downstairs yeah

Back down the weird or just jump on the side there yeah I’ll do right so the first classroom or first class you’re gonna be doing today is stand at stamps and staff and to the wand workshop so as a mage you need to come in you need to

Make yourself either a wonder of staff you working a staff guy or you a little one guy staff yeah yeah comments oh yeah nice to compensate yeah give me the biggest bit of wood you got Yeah right so yeah idea Ben I was thinking I was

Trying to think of things that we could do with like the different blocks that we’ve got there’s some creative things so in this case yeah you’ve got the button which has been turned into a wand it’s like a light shaving it down or or waddling it down this probably yours

Right here or you just got this big hunk of wood do so yeah we got a couple of those but you know simple little classes over on the other side we’ve got the potions laboratory so this is where you know you sneak like character it’d be sat just chilling out and all right

Mister stuff I love the turtle works these are like one of the best blocks for alchemy they just look quite cool and because it’s not on sand they don’t grow either so you can actually use them in interiors so yeah I like it it’s like it’s okay nice little simple little bits of

Potions around so if we go through the library again you know what it’s true yeah we all make it into you then other side so this is where we start going up the building so in here we’ve got the oh yeah so the other thing is that we’ve

Got journeymen and apprentices and all that kind of stuff at different classes so this is journeyman B or like middling middling kind of grade so this is their private common room so only once you’ve actually proved yourself as a young mage you can then get into here and just

Chill and this is the blue or the ice storm ice kind of one so they’ve got a fire and again with like the medic medieval stuff thank thanks mostly to do with the smoke particles you can actually just use the same fire on either side you don’t really notice that

Much so nice simple I know it’s great it just saves them saves any space a little bit so cool that yeah it’s us they’re the Commons room for the journeyman I can like ice factional ice guild and I whatever you want to call it who knows

So next floor we have directly above it is the fire journeyman Commons you know very similar not really too much to say about it but again it’s got a nice little fireplace in that fireplace most of these fireplaces shall I say do you make it all the way to the roof in

This one I couldn’t do the same as I did with clipped off where all of them did but generally they make their way up quite nicely so there we go that’s going here nice view from here as well yeah I know I like the windows it’s obviously medieval times they wouldn’t have went

Of necessarily had glass windows they might have done in the higher kind of floors but you know they’re try and make it as defensive as possible and you don’t want a big hole where somebody can you know smash through per group up and climb through but again this has been

Converted they’ve put glass in because it’s fancier we head out over here this is just something to make it look more interesting on the front of it so I just have to tie it up with them interior oh this is really come out for this moko

Was a nice copy yeah yeah smoker break just come out yeah puff away puff away on horse manure and stuff like that oh yeah pretty much anything they can get our hands on so if we go around this way this is the one I was saying about that this one doesn’t

Go all the way to the top chimney wise because I had to make it so that I didn’t want to use a block going all the way up and I couldn’t have blocks around it because otherwise you can walk around it but they sit up there we’ve got another classroom over here

See you next thing you’re gonna learn about is history and politics so really important because the in this world at least I was standing out here nice I saw that guys that come on the picture down the end I’m like who’s that you know what I think he looks like Nick Fury

It’s got that kind of statue to him that’s what that’s just why see anyway but um yeah history and politics really important for majors cuz they’re gonna be advising you know King so you’d have like a court court mage so you can imagine them being like the advisor so

They’ve got to know all the history and politics and like kind of stuff to be able to advise properly boring though so because of that you might you know need a break and you probably do need a break at a minute as well so just in this on

The back here it’s your next er next stop off really oh yeah a chat show drop off yep exactly yeah yeah let it let it drop and drops off the castle like most of these things yeah look at the blackboard as well that’s cool yeah I

Had to I can traverse behind that I think it might be the fireplace I tried to I spent quite a lot of time trying to get stuff to line up it’s a bit of a pain actually but that’s I’m sure that’s what most the metal interiors are if you

Got like a small space you just have to kind of fudge things in yes although it’s working it’s fitting walk quite well all right restoration and healing so after all of that you’re gonna need some healing this one was I was really struggling I’m gonna be honest I was so struggling to

Do you know what do you actually do to show restoration and healing loss thinking power plants we’ve got dead shrubs so you can have a dead shrub and you can have it then turning into like a fern and then eventually I’ll get into like a little tree thing like the

Bottommost uno community loo that yeah it’s to do it like you’re trying to heal up your your tree using magic and apparently most of them failed but simple little ideas until I started off with the wand workshop my loves their potions stuff I love but I start to drop off it is mm-hmm

Divination crystal ball stuff oh I know there’s taken straight up Harry Potter totally you know but I’ll sing in well there could be you know I think this is called scraping and they and they put a ball and see stuff in the future allows the idea of this one it’s another class

So far you didn’t pretty good on all these classes you’re learning a lot will help me a lot yeah go be a bit of a chill-out area which then leads onto the the outside area that we’ve got as well so that was that kind of link up so you can just can

I wander out and have some fresh air this is just a quiet study area there’s not the library because we’re probably gonna have quite a few majors in here so I scare I will make our way to the next floor this looks so cool though it’s

Cool in it and everything yeah it’s a different feel to clipped off it’s like let I’ve tried to make it a little bit more well magic II it’s kind of like been repurposed as such I think I’ve lost you downstairs nope upstairs upstairs yeah keep going up

That’s logs yeah yeah there’s only one tower there’s only one staircase going up unfortunately which makes it a little bit difficult to get out so yeah this floor this has got the ice dormitory so if we go in here this is where everybody can be so all of the looking light

Levels of whatever they are and then we’ve got just the bunk beds in in this section lots of bunk beds really kind of basic and with it just like a little shelf each and a couple at work outside areas as well it can kind of like walk around

And again smoke breaks as you said is this is this one of these balconies that actually come away from the actual build itself yep yep so these are called hoardings horridness so the idea would be that they would actually build these over the castle walls or extend outwards and actually

When you see towers that go bigger at the top that’s actually the same idea that you can then shoot downwards from it so if somebody got right up to the wall well you can see there you can just cool or drop down you know that’s the idea so they’re called hoardings but in

This case probably they’re using them to smoke i’d expect something like angry that’s cool this in this case this one’s just a simple balcony but as you can see there’s a chamber pot there that they would probably throw off the side a spittoon sort of thing yep well they

Would know chewed tobacco though is more like the West one I thought yeah well you know it’s magic in it so here we have the spell casting in Belgium so trying to make a little Hall above the main hall this one just that goes all the way to the roof

The idea being here would be casting spells each other jar would jar and try to deflect them and and create shields and all that kind of stuff that you can imagine them doing so I do can like use the carpets to make a swirling kind of palette power and magic and all that

Kind of jazz so that’s kind of like what’s going on with that it’s too bad cool then if we go over here we get to the fire dhamma tree which is just a mile back so i like the signs is there in color coordination as well yeah i spell casting and battle

Magic is like the orange spells yeah ice fire red I know yeah I love that we can color those now this one is Kimberly towers a little bit more um more cramped yeah quiet rent is just the size of it there’s only got one balcony as well so unfortunately for them

But as long as they got a place to smoke and you know drop one off it’s fine that’s their nice little thing because they’ve got such a small kind of dorm they’ve got a bigger area for their common room so nice and chilled nice big

Nice big fire be quite warm maybe or you know complaining about all the all blues all the time you’ve got those ice those ice na beds God you know you complain about them more time I reckon in here we actually have the the kind of medical ward or

Medical wing as such so a couple of simple little medical areas so if he did you know somebody’s thrown a spell at you too much and it’s broken your arm or whatever and if they can’t hear you you know you’re gonna be resting up in here it’s only between flat little section it

Had nothing to do with obviously we just running out of ideas oh you you putting everything into this I like it I’ll just fill stuff stuff right next floor that’s your quote for the day fuel stuff though yeah might as well go all the way

To the top we’re nearly done but the top one here the idea being that when you’re a master mage you can go out into the main world but sometimes you might want to come back to the guild so that’s where we’ve got all purple so these are

All just spare beds for the master mage wanting to come they can just come and bunk up in the top tower so that was my idea I needed some place to put some of those beds yet so here they’ve done that as well my color coordination like the fire dies

In there and a purpley type stuff to be that kind of bit both yeah full-blown yeah full-blown mage so now we’re in the teachers quarters so they’ve obviously got some pretty fancy quarters this would also be for the master mages which are like those ones that could be

Staying so yeah it’s kind of got oak white a big area for the common room quite cool as well producing some coral was weird asked Rock thing and I quite liked it we all tomorrow and Elvis fire Thor I Ramaiah from imagine being like a big weirded weird you know big bearded

We don’t even so we’ll go into that Archmage thing last I think so they’ve got their own kitchen cuz why not you can you can tell that this the halls are going around that that big kind of bow gym type thing that we’ve got going on

After I built it I was like how the hell am I going to join all this up Betty it kind of works so this is another another common room so they could just be chilling out relaxing good I don’t use it yet this – yet so they’ve

Got their own another area to chill I don’t know if you recognize that book I mean actually actually don’t say what if you recognize it or not people in the comments have to say what that is and what it’s from so that people will recognize it I’ll

Tell them if they’re right when they when they come on it or if they’re not right guessing you don’t recognize that I I think I think I do yeah others yeah as a little competition because it means that we know that people have got that far in the video

And if they get it wrong as well even bear yeah I didn’t think they’ll put that in the Minecraft I know it’s a little head block on it perfect in it absolutely perfect quite a few little areas to come on out all over fires the history and politics

Teacher is Sakura med med wap med meddler maybe med land I think might be gigantic bed I mean this is a pretty good cause I think you’ll be pretty happy with this kind of area it’s that’s how important history is apparently in politics Wow a wooden laptop I sauce you

Love the wooden laptop I know it’s great isn’t it yeah because yeah I have an abacus they gotta be go be counting stuff been doing calculations and what Oh Yes not see that nice big wardrobe I like to unlike the roof though I haven’t talked up I like it yeah I was I was thinking about what to do and I was like actually I’m just gonna have our own show and just have a couple mountains just hanging down

I just really detail it up for a long wooden now this is awesome and yeah so some of the teachers don’t have the same kind of size things we’ve got the potions master master is a moth Gosling moth yeah moth I know I mentioned just a weird old bloke really the other things

New moths I tried to color coordinate these as well so with those signs as a bit of fun so this one’s the potions was Green down the bomb yeah go over the nice green bed I’ll try and get some greens stuff in it but also all of their rooms you’ll

Probably notice have got things like obviously potions master has got some potions he also for some reason has to happens to have a balcony I don’t know how he got that but I don’t know maybe that’s just what he’s got who knows it’s how it all works I like

The little bits of detail that you put in as you said like you got the you know stuff over here and Google herb hope station yeah I’ve tried to do that with all of them as you’ll see with me go through so I tried to link them back

It’s one of the reasons I put the signs up because I was trying to force myself to do it so I’d just get generic kind of builds so for divination we’ve got Katherine locks and I was like locks unlock potential unlock your mind exceptions they thought I was trying to go with

That so you know gone for yellow yeah and of course this one that just got a load of crystal balls not torch you can do without the player heads you just not be able to do any of this until they smell simple cause see that mystic mystic Meg’s great-great-great great-great grandmother yeah exactly

All right these staircases we’ve got Thomas knots to tease says the woodworking bloke I think this one’s quite easy to tell he’s a woodworker yeah soar in it benneesham armorstands using that as a can like would type things who’s got a ballistics so yeah little little things like that alright next

Keep on going up we gotta keep going up make up so I’ve got Nina Nina Ravens as the battle mage so the person that’ll teach you all you get real battling magic he cool spells and it means this room a bit bigger so she can actually

Move around and yeah I thought you know battle mage is probably quite a prominent position cuz I don’t know about you but I would like my if I had a court major I wanted to be able to like really whip up some cool badass well

Yeah you know you’re not gonna say no to about mage thing I exactly and I’m not gonna say hey it’s more rich thing that’s not gonna happen yeah divination or you see the future that you in a full battle made you be like oh okay yeah

That’s give him a bigger room so they’ve got a nice big room and lots of stuff that wasn’t really too much I could do with a bow mage the only thing I could really think of was this skeleton that’s good dude you just beat up and and try

To do a wand type thing and maybe some some artifacts as well so there’s that kind of thing that’d work it’s kind of got it yes let’s see BAM again it was that can I orange you read as well for that that color so nice and simple but that’s there’s those ones so

Let’s go all the way down now there’s such a tiny staircase like fit it in it’s much thicker than it go so if we now go back through why here got two left so we’ve got autumn Myrtle who’s that restoration lady apparently the pillows melted yeah so again that kind of green color

So I went with that and yeah there wasn’t really too much to do for restaurants melody Ghent wasn’t really a too much they could do for restoration so it’s just like plant books they are do yeah maybe a potion or two but she’s got a pretty good room actually I would

Say why most little Reading area huge books yeah nice and chilled right so Archmage Elvis fire from so he’s actually got two floors you know Archmage let’s go up two floors so he’s got his own area for his private herb gun you know – yeah he’s – yep so I

You know you’d have all manner of herbs around here that you can smoke or not smoke you know got the mushrooms yeah well yeah all that kind of stuff and this Wiggly thing yep exactly what did I just walk into a cloud of smoke somewhere else my eyes are gone – funny

Possibly yeah so yeah nice simple got into his main quarters he has got nice big-ass bed Wow I tried to go of like a really big four-poster bed and lots of color and and kind of can have that can like red going into the purpley type of

Color try and mix it around a bit so it’s got that’s more packing blues most of it but yeah nice big bed well I like this room this is huge this is your room isn’t you’ve got your own private meet as well there so you can just sit down

On the sofa and just pour yourself a cold one oh yeah yeah I got do it oh and he’s also got bird as you probably noticed from the twee keep tweeting so I thought you know I’d be quite cool if Dumbledore has a has a Phoenix well

We’ve only got really got a parrot so he’ll have a parent do you think about him I’ve been a bunny or something like that you know something a bit funny but I like this room this is my favorite yeah it’s nice and it’s my favorite as well yeah I like it

This is where I’d be totally I did try to do I did attempt to do a 45 degree wardrobe that’s what this thing is it’s you know I think it looks a little bit funky that works though kind of works yeah yeah yeah it kind of works

Oh yeah in the end of dragons I forgot about the Enderdragon sack on the sides of those yes well I’ll tell you all about it it’s nice and simple I say it’s nice in supposed weight quite elegant quite big now definitely my favorite room yeah nice and Spacey it’s

Got everything everything you need just got your belt by about do you like it it’s got your bell in your bird that little bird yep you got your stash downstairs it’s nice and simple really well I’m just heading down downstairs and they can head out anything is the birds just makes so much

Noise it’s weird so now the good thing is at least cuz we only got one staircase you can just head it all the way down stairs you eventually come out it again and then you over here it’s like a water slide just dry yeah splinters there we go so from the

Outside and kind of kind of see how it all joins up I think one thing you probably didn’t know is is this actually an angle so the the roof and stuff especially because what I decided to do with this is rather than rather than kind of try and make everything line up

I wanted it to line up between the towers yeah so on the front part of it actually on the front and sides wait where are you so yeah on the on each of these sides found here I wanted the apex to meet perfectly between each other towers yeah so I did

That on each of each of them really as much as I could anyway this sounds a little bit bit rubbish but kind of worked but especially the front and the back both has that where it kind of lines up perfectly in between those towers but because of that it actually
