Hello and welcome back to another video I am sa DC and today I’m going to show you the ultimate lava cast guide I’ve done a few lava cast tutorials in the past on different ones you can do and they all seem to do really well on my Channel for some reason it’s been 2 years since my last lava cast video so I’m going to show you how to do lava cast everything you need to know on every lava cach you can do all in today’s video and I’m also going to put time stamps in the video for all of These lava cast so you can just skip to the Tim stamp to learn how to do it so enough of me rambling let’s just get onto it so the first lava cast I’m going to show you how to make is the skyscraper lava cast this one you can See right in front of me this is one of the more simple lava casts but it is really effective and looks absolutely amazing at night to make this you will need a lot of lav and water it depends on the size you’re making it and stone that is the only requ requirement I’m Just springing sponge along to make it easier and swiftness to make it faster so to start off you want to get your Cobblestone build it however high up you want it’s your choice these are all possible in Survival by the way I’m just going to be doing it in Creative to make It easier to follow along I’m going to stop here and then you want to make a square it doesn’t have to be a square it can be any shape you want but I’m just going to start off with a square first you can make it a perfect square or you Can make it a rectangle it’s all your choice and then you want to place lava on the outside of your shape in this case a square place it all along every block on the outside just like so and then you want to let that lava flow down until it Reaches the ground okay there we go mine is just about reached the ground you can also add some borders if you don’t want the uh lava to spread catch anything on fire it’s your choice but I’m not going to bother once it’s all reached to the Bottom on the top of the Ring now you just want to place water on every block so it will then cover the lava creating what we call a lava cast this is pretty much the same for every type of lava cast it’s just putting lava and then Adding water on top but some are more tricky than others but once you’ve done this you just want to clear up the water once you see no more lava it reveals this Cobblestone structure so I think it’s just about done so to make it quick I’m going to use Sponges just get rid of it like that and the lava on the inside doesn’t matter cuz it kind of goes inside and outside but the outside’s the only a bit that matters let the water all go away and there we have it that is the finished product sometimes you will get holes in It but I’ve been lucky there isn’t a single hole I can spot and yeah we have now a tower this can go way higher way bigger and you can also do them different shapes so this is the simplest one to make just like a nice perfect Square but I’m also going to show you some other shapes you can do with the tower lava cast so this one I’m just going to try and make a triangle uh cuz I think that might look quite cool you know um so I’m just going to build it However I want it really does not matter you just need to make sure it’s like flat on the top have a tower building up you don’t actually need this bit here the tower building up that is just for survival to get up here so you can start Placing it’s not necessary and then I’m just going to place the lava on the outside on every block don’t miss any uh cuz I think it works better if you uh put it on all the blocks wait for it to flow down okay the lava’s flown down now I go to the top place the water on it all and it’ll make this bit obsidian um and then the rest is turned into and Cobblestone I’m going to let that flow and then remove the water and there we go that is my triangle tower now I’m Going to do a circular one cuz I think that that could work quite well for these um but yeah you just make any shape you want it’s really really simple it can be a bit expensive in survival to get all the supplies you need but it can Also be a really quick way of making any builds instead of placing all the blocks you just automatically make them using lava and water okay there we go that’s the circle done now I’m going to place a lava on the outside just go all the way Around just like that so a lot of people like to use these to make cool skyscrapers and stuff in cities uh and then other people just like to use these to grief people’s worlds so you know they’re kind of multi-purpose lavacast but either way they’re really cool now I’m going to place the watch on top since it’s finished just place it on all of the Cobblestone that you can see visible um and then the water takes effect far quicker than it takes the lava to get down as you can see uh I’m actually being really lucky I’m not Getting any holes in these at all because usually you get holes like all the time but I think it depends on the scale the larger it is the more likely you are to get some okay I’m now just getting rid of the water one final time to reveal this Masterpiece this actually looks really good out of all three of these I’d recommend doing a circle the most cuz that looks surprisingly good I didn’t think it would look that good um if you’re using it for builds anyway and there we go that is how you can make Yourself lava cast Towers next I’m going to show you how you can make these lavacast staircases these are the the most common lava casts I see used H not so much for builds more just like uh on 2b2 stuff like that but they can look really cool and they are probably the Cheapest lava cast to make I want to say I might be wrong about that let me know in the comments but I’m pretty sure these are the cheapest and simplest lava cast you can make so the materials you will need this is It’s the exact same materials but you just need way less Lava and way less water I’m going to let 2020 s DC show you how you make this one so first make sure you have space on your world and start by placing your block like that and that and just start making a staircase pretty simple you can make this however High You want but I’m going to do it till I run out of Cobblestone Okay so I’ve done this now all right that’s enough of 2020 s DC yes I know my voice is high so you want to have one block up where from where you’re placing your lever so place a Leever on the second highest block and then you want To let it flow all the way to the bottom okay there we go it’s all gone down and now on the top block you just want to place a bit of water and then it’ll all flow down making the lavacast staircase now let’s see am I going to Get any holes oh yeah not as lucky as I was with those lava cast but you know it still looks good and you can always go back fill in the holes and I’m also going to say by the way guys uh in case you’re wondering lavac cast does not Work backwards you can’t place the water and then lava and get an obsidian lava cast trust me it just doesn’t work but if you don’t believe me you can go try it so yeah now I’m just going to block off the water watch all run away and there we go that is the Lavacast staircase done but if you also want to make this even more Mega aside from going really high up which I’m not going to do right now cuz that’ll take forever is you can actually just put a block again on top and then on the obsidian place laa and it’ll do a lava Cast on top of it making it even thicker so you can just make it an ultra chunky lava cast if that’s what you want to do um but I’m just going to make it one layer thicker just to prove to you that it works and there we go just put the Water on and now you’ll see it’s now ra instead of being three blocks wide it is now five so every time you do that two blocks will get added so you can make it like you can imagine how big but I don’t have the time to do that right now so I’m just going to stop at five blocks wide just to prove to you you can make it bigger if you do wish to okay now I’m going to show you how to make my absolute favorite lava cast ever and that is the mountain or pyramid lava cast whatever you call it they don’t Really have official names these are just names I’m kind of giving them but this lava cast can go massive uh it also is like it takes the longest um actually it’s quite cheap surprisingly you wouldn’t expect it to be so let’s begin to make the mountain lava cast what You’ll need is Cobblestone Water lava it’s the exact same as the uh staircase lava cast except it takes way longer it starts off really like quick and then the more you do it the longer it takes so how you do this is you start by Making like a uh I don’t know what you’d call this shape a plus sign or a Time sign depends what way you look at it add a bit on top so it’s like you know a tiny bump then you want to um build two above it so it’s like this then break The middle one place lava you then you want to let it flow all the way to the bottom like so so it make this uh kind of lava you can already see it happening already and then on top you want to place your water and there there we go that makes It into that and you may be thinking this is absolutely tiny uh what is this that one over there looked massive but no if you break inside you’ll find lava so you can just keep reusing it um so you don’t actually need like tons of Lava and then you just pick up that lava and the water and then you do it on top and you just keep on doing it on top I actually forgot to um do that step please make sure you always have a block on top so it’s actually really simple to Do it’s just it starts off really fast and then it takes absolutely forever for the lava to get down so it can be lengthy but if you go do this all the way up to height limit it would be massive but I’m not going to do that Right now but if you want to do that then go ahead so it kind of starts to do this like pattern as you can notice it goes from like one block in each and then it goes too so it kind of like spreads out as it goes down but you can Do this like so high up to height limit it would end up being massive it’s just it starts to take forever just waiting for the lava to go down and I realized I did the same problem again uh yeah it takes forever for the lava to get down But and another thing I like is it’s completely like solid if you do it on a flat surface like on a flat world it’ll end up being completely solid which I think is just really cool so yeah that is uh the mountain lava cast as I call It and like I said you can after you’ve done it all you can find the lava inside on every layer you could actually do this with just a lava bucket and a water bucket it’s just it would take a very long time in survival and the last of these like Basic lava casts I’m going to show you today is the lava cast wall this one can be quite expensive but it is out of them all probably the most maybe the most useful aside from the tower just because you can make like giant walls for Castle or something with This and it looks pretty neat so again like all of them what you’ll need is just lav water this one you do need more it’s on the more expensive side as I said you need lots of lav lots of water so yeah let me show you how you make it So there’s two methods to doing this because um one makes it like thicker but it’s more expensive and the other is cheaper but it’s less thick of a wall so I’m going to show you the expensive option first I don’t know why I’m crouching when I can just fly but yeah You uh build up like this however High you want the wall and then however far across you want the wall let’s just say we stop it there that’ll do and um and you don’t even need to build it down but you can if you want I mean it’s your Choice I guess but yeah the expensive option is just like the skyscraper you just put the lava on every block on the outside and let it fall all the way to the bottom and it’ll fall and it will form a wall so I’m just going to let it go all the way Down all right it’s all the way down and I’ve actually noticed that this is going to go over the edge which will make this a mega high wall uh which is actually something you can do if you do like a lava cast at the edge of something uh You can make it like here you can make a giant wall if you’re going at the edge of something um without even trying to do it so yeah then you just go to the top and place water on all of it so it’s pretty much exact same as a tower it’s Just you’re making it in a wall form instead uh and you can just see that all turn into stone it won’t reach the hall way but look it’s pretty cool it’s so fun just watching lava cast be made and I’m just going to clear this up with sponges just to make it more Quick just get rid of all the water there we go that is the more expensive option and you can see it is like really thick it’s like these two halves um kind of I guess uh but now I’m going to show you the cheaper way but it’s also uh Kind of I don’t know if I’d call it harder but uh it’s also less thick so you just same kind of thing you just go up build it however far across you want it I’ll just stop there but instead of just stopping at that you also want to Go underneath leaving one gap between go all the way along and in my uh lavacast wall tutorial I did this a really awkward way in survival I don’t know why but you just want to place the lava along here watch it all go down and then Above it once it goes down you’ll just place the water and you can see this one will be three blocks thick whereas this is five uh so let’s just let it go down and I’ll place the water and it should look very good and there we go watch it all run Down making a wall why is this oh look at these gaps oh that’s really unlucky look at look how nice this one is and then I get this I get this disgrace of a wall uh well usually they won’t look that bad but I don’t know I just didn’t get a Good wall but lava cast can be good and bad sometimes you’ll have so many holes and they’ll look terrible and then other times they work really well like this so yeah that is how you can make a wall by using lava casts and that is now all the Simple lava cast designs which uh I’d call them like their own things cuz you do them all different methods and you’ll see them all around different Minecraft worlds and everything but uh now I’m just going to show you some uh designs you can make like uh which I wouldn’t Really call them their own thing but it’s just like a combination of different lavac cast methods to make structures and I’m also going to show you just how to make your own lavacast designs if you’re uh want to make a giant Cobblestone structure like this One uh how you can come up with ideas to do it so yeah let’s just get onto it right now okay so if any of you have somehow gotten this far into the video and you don’t know like you don’t understand what a lava cast is I’m just Going to show you because like some people don’t get it at all so when like a flowing bit of water touches a flowing bit of lava it makes Cobblestone uh I don’t know why so that’s just always been a thing but then when it’s just flowing water onto solid lava it’ll Always make obsidian and you may be thinking can’t we make an obsidian cast uh well I’ll show you right now why that doesn’t work so I’ll just like um build something here so say oh I want to make uh an obsidian cast that would be really Cool by the way if this was a thing but no if I just put the water there I mean the lava sorry it’ll will then just make that into smooth Stone that’s what happens when lava hits a water source block and then it just makes us kind of Lava cast again so it just circles back so trust me this is the only thing you can do you can’t make smooth stone or obsidian ones it can only be Cobblestone it would be cool if you could well I don’t know I quite like the Cobblestone Some people think it looks really ugly I think it looks quite cool so yeah uh knowing that knowledge that is how you make all of these um and uh I’m also going to show you some different designs you can make with these because you don’t just have to do a staircase like That uh you can do say uh here’s a design I had I’m not going to make it really big but you can do four staircases because four is better than one just on every side like making a lava cast staircase Place uh lava on each one let it flow down down and you Can already see this is like four mini ones of those um it kind of just looks like a pyramid but then if I put water um you can see it makes this which you can’t actually really tell what it is but once I remove the water there look I have This new structure that’s just combining four of these and there’s way more things you can do with it it’s basically just making a shape which When lava goes around around it it’ll make a cooler shape and then hopefully it works that’s like the basic premise of it um and then There’s this other one I’ve seen uh go around I didn’t make this but but it’s basically just it gets wider as it goes down so it’s like a tower but this one I’ve learned I don’t think it works on Xbox One Edition which is what I’m on Right now because as you can see if I make this go down although it should work uh it just doesn’t on this version but it does on Bedrock so I don’t know they must have changed something in an update but if I put lava down and then Water it just makes this weird it doesn’t work I don’t know why just on this version but it doesn’t Bedrock you so you can do something like this on bedrock and there we go I think the reason it doesn’t work cuz you’ll see when I place a water is it just doesn’t Turn this lava into stone for some reason so it makes us kind of you know it doesn’t look that bad it’s just I could easily build this without making a lava cast it’s kind of like a giant Fountain I mean maybe you want that but on Bedrock it’ll make like a tower and The final finally let’s do one more uh which I’ve seen which is just by making stairs change direction so again like the stair cast uh so you can make it just go up and up or I’ve seen someone do it like this so you make it like a diamond shape by doing Four stairs so it goes up to here and then it changes Direction and then it makes like a square from above and a diamond from face on that just looks quite cool like that and that shape actually works as a lava cast and I think it looks really good so I’m just going to let that lava flow down there we go and now if I just uh put water here you’ll see it makes this pretty cool neat shape uh this is actually one of my favorites but the reason say I didn’t put this as one of These lava cast is because it is just making the stair in four uh different directions you know it’s not its own thing uh so let’s just remove the water and you can see the finished product I’d say that looks pretty nice and anyway that is pretty much it for this expert’s Guide on lava casting I’ve made loads of lava cast videos in the past because they did so well on my channel after the very first one back in 2020 and I just thought those tutorials were so old and I could do such a better tutorial now that I know more so I Decided to just basically put everything I know every lava cast all into one video to let you all know cuz some people don’t know at all that lava casting exists and I think it’s like a really cool feature of
