1.20 Minecraft Guide: Paper Emerald Farm!

Hi happy holidays everybody it’s me D weipa and welcome to the beautiful sugar cane Farm wow right at the end of the last episode I left you guys with a partially empty sugarcane farm and oh no no no that’s not the case here anymore in today’s episode we’re going to put this

Brand new tall Titan to Good Wonderful use in today’s episode I’m going to show you how this thing looks when we Harvest it this farm right here of course I had to harvest it partially to actually like you know be able to replant and everything like that but this farm right

Here is going to be more than good enough far far superior than good enough I said this Farm is going to be delicately gorgeous perfectly Perfection far superior Monumental everything in my dreams you know so many great things everything like it when it comes to getting sugar cane really really easily

Look what I’m trying to say here is together me and you up at the top of the world sunset with an inventory F of sugar cane we need to put it to good use sitting inside of a box box over at the side of the farm forever I mean that’s

Not fun cozy I want this world to feel cozy it’s something we were talking about together earlier on when I was setting up like I think maybe that building or something way earlier on in the series they talked about building buildings and areas to make it feel cozy

Oh yeah by the way complete tangent right here but this has become the sniffer Farm operation I need an auto food farm anyways I’ve got this long-term vision of the world to feel really really cozy over here I want to make feel a little bit more cozy by perhaps adding a couple

More buildings to this Zone over here more specifically a building to this corner sitting right here right now today now it is my thought process when walking into a build over here at this basis of course make sure I build it out of blocks that will match what we have

Going on over here at the base so like deep slate it’s a prime candidate I use it a little bit I’ve got this big sent with B Sal that matches perfectly another thing that I like to consider and think of nowadays is what do I have

A a lot of extra of for example dirt I don’t really know where I left them I swear I had more water bottles somewhere we have a whole lot of dirt and I can easily just as like freely basically turn this stuff into mud after that I

Was thinking I could maybe turn this mud into the other version of mud and use that because I have so much extra dark oak logs I feel like incorporating this into the build as well maybe I could like strip it or something that could maybe look pretty cool lasman at least

Has been too long it’s making me sad it’s keeping me up at night time I don’t have very much of it here but Spruce Wood is beautiful imagine this or correction you don’t even really have to imagine it because well watch imagine none other than the great tree choos

Kicking off today’s episode with a little bit of tree chopping after tree chaples does this thing imagine this imagine none other than mud maker makes an appearance but not just makes an appearance also makes a whole lot of mud too After a little bit of mud making later let’s say our good friend also slid all the way over to the wheat farm stockpile and actually converted that mud straight into even more muddy mud maybe I don’t know make it into a little bit of mud braks and then foundations H so this

House right here I kind of know what I want to do with this build here today I’m walking into it with a plan a dream and a mission what I think I would like to do here is use a little bit of mud bricks as one part of this Tower as one

Part of this to Oh No I gave it away as one part of the tower my mouth just kept mouthing and mouth farther and moved quicker than I than I wanted to allow but yes a tower I would like to incorporate a tower part of this house

And then a an Noto Tower in part of this house you could say for this build here here’s what I was sort of thinking envisioning we’ll have a small section of this build that’s like a little bit of a circle or whatever and then maybe on the other part of the build we’ll

Have maybe like more of a square or something like that we’ll pop it out a little bit past it add some depth detail variation then we’ll go ahead and make this thing like a little bit wide maybe like I don’t know I kind of like what I

Did on that build I think that’s five blocks wide so we’ll go ahead and copy that over we’ll do five blocks again after that I’ll probably end up making this like an odd amount maybe nine or something that sounds like it would be good we’ll have a big rectangle a decently sized Circle

Then something beautiful in between 3 2 1 let’s Go so while I work on building today’s build and getting it in so we can get the farming right after build has to come first for this one I would like to talk about episode number 50 I don’t think I mentioned it quite yet but yes yes here we are you mighty noticed

Episode number 50 for the longest time I was going back and forth what do I do what do I do that’s what what I said before well nowadays I know exactly what I want to do clearly as you can see here we’re not doing a tour or anything like

That for episode number 50 I’m currently at like day 700 no I’m currently at day 6 like 60 something maybe 70 something 470 we’ll call it that’s so close to day number 500 instead of doing something right now I think what I’m going to do is shift it

Working progress right now but I had to pull out the Blackstone for the build it’s been a long time since I built with Blackstone I was looking at the chest I needed like an accent block for the roof I already used deep slate on the bottom

So I didn’t want to do that and I don’t know about you but this view of the build right here like not the bottom part but the top part that’s all detailed and crazy I I think it kind of slaps firmly hardly maybe solidly now details details I think the details can

Probably come into the build a little bit later on for the most part but what I was thinking is maybe over here inside of this part of the build which is like the main office the workspace whatever I was thinking maybe what I could do is like walls in there walls could be

Pretty cool and then glass panes like that to kind of like solid it up and then finish it off unfortunately tragically I’m running so low on mod I might have to make a little bit more over here on this side of the build what I was thinking is Windows Windows and

Even more windows it’s a hard sad truth that I’m not going to be able to see out of the windows on the inside of the build but it’s also a a truth that this build isn’t for me believe it or not villager villagers where for art thou villagers villagers you’ve been going

Crazy haven’t you up top oh you’re madly deeply in love look at it you can see it in the eyes right there they can’t even look away from each other well I didn’t plan on this but the Villager breeder appears like it may eventually lag out the

World I’ll get that under control later you my bald had a baby we’re going to go ahead and move this villager relocated cleanly with ease very key part with ease all the way clean across the base now which way should I go to the field to the wall h ah

Wow villager breeder is H clearly up and running to say the least that thing is up and running so here’s the catch the thing moving villagers all the way across the base it’s not exactly well you could say it’s not exactly the most fun brain enthralling non mind numbing

Process please just take the workstation there’s nothing in there you need go to that workstation right over there there’s a gate oh you fool oh you fool no that’ll be a little bit of my bad because I left the gate open I asked for that one if I put the workstation back

And close the gate you can’t see it all right so here’s what I’m thinking the Villager is so close to home you’re so close to home sweet home if I could string you maybe right along uh hey how about your buddy you come back back and

Don’t go off the cliff no my beautiful hazle eyed Beauty where in the world do you think you’re off through you’re currently employed over here make your way back uhhuh uh-huh okay now I take that away and you should want that one yes it looks like it’s working a piece

Of cake walking a park so for our little farm today we’re going to need the help of this one single villager this bald little friend that is being so Cooperative today is going to live inside of that building forever to ensure and allow your long fortunate

Beautiful Life what I will do is I’ll make a fence gate hey come on come on come on come on come on you’re working in the house come to the house come inside it’s warm in here nice try emeralds sweet sweet profit emeralds emeralds in Minecraft

Are one of the most useful things in the entire game from Trading Halls to cool looking building blocks if you can get a lot of these things well you’ll have a lot of them you’ll be rolling in them a little bit more specifically for us today currently inside of our world the

Main use for emeralds is going to be sweet sweet mendal some mendal right here for the low price of 14 of course you know how it goes s is mending if I could have a renewable source of emeralds inside of this world so I could say like maybe grind out 14 emeralds

Anytime that I want well that’d be great now nowadays inside of Minecraft there are so many different methods things strategies you could use to farm up a whole lot of emeralds quickly and easily one of the nicest things and one of the newest things inside of our world and

Involves you over there my dear friend every single cartographer villager no matter what version of the game you’re playing on at the first trade should have this paper trade and I think the price is going to be the same every single time you get that paper trade now

A cool little trick that you can pair with this Farm to get that trade lower is zombie villager discounting curing you know all that kind of stuff unfortunately nowadays though when you discount it you can only discount it once you used to be able to like lower

That price all the way down to the floor so like basically practically trading one piece of paper for emeralds but that was back in the day times is different unfortunately how it’s going to run every single time in this economy is always going to be this trade right here

And with a good paper Farm it’s not bad before I hike tail it anywhere I’m going to need to make sure I’m doubled up here the wooden door plus the fence gate that zombies can’t get through and on the outside of the build everything is like

Fully covered up you’re not going to be able to go anywhere now you know how it goes we we did it for mendal we will do it again for the Cartographer villager and down below in the comments I need your favorite villager name of all time for our sweet paper sales get creative

Get fun reference one of my favorite shows of all time I don’t know I don’t care you most like the comment down below will be the Villager name I’ll pick it in a couple episodes time good luck in a modern day Minecraft the paper trading is one of the easiest methods

You could use to get your hands on some sweet green rocks step number one though before you can do any of this you’re going to need to set up some sort of cool sugar cane Farm of some sort if you’re planning on using paper to grind out your emeralds I highly recommend

Building a sugarcane farm that is like I Sav this size minimum and check out last episode for more on farming that though after that it’s time to swing over to your local the Villager breeder and collect up yourself one villager or if you want to scale this operation up

Maybe even more villagers after that it’s about time you construct your yourself up some kind of containment facility for your villagers so it’s safe to the end of time if you’re going to go ahead and do something Fancy with like a door or something I highly recommend a

Fence gate as well then move the Villager into position as in inside of the building and drop a cartography table down somewhere where it can access it where it can access it is a big part of this farming method because unfortunately if you’ve never traded with villagers before they have this

Mechanic where they they actually can sell out of stock so look for example let’s say I went ahead and trapped the villager inside of this room and took the table out of it but it somehow stayed a cartographer villager it just can’t reach the table well basically if

That were to happen eventually the villager’s trade will lock and because it can’t get over to the workstation it’ll be done for the day until it sleeps and rolls over to tomorrow all right so with all this paper in hand it’s time no more delay we move over to

The Villager take that trade and we’ll trade with you a couple times unfortunately 24 paper 24 paper with without any curing that’s going to make this not the best way to get emeralds in the world we’ll talk more about that another time but this is one of the ways to get emeralds

Or maybe even Explore your world a little bit too ah now one of the sad parts about this villager trading stuff is as soon as I level you up you’re going to get real stingy when it comes to like how much experience I’m getting offered from this first trade it’s sad

My long-term goal for you sweet friend is to get you all the way up to the Master Level which means I’m going to need to maybe take some of the other trades to level you up a little bit Master Level villager by the end of the episode name within like I don’t know

The next couple I feel like that’s doable look I kind of really do hate to do it like sand is a very valuable resource to me but but unfortunately I think that one trade with the whole sand thing is going to be the best way to move it along hm

Bed color bed color what color should I make the bed you know what it’s funny I think I actually I think I left all of my Cactus oh I take it back I want that villager to live a good life but it needs to have the right color bed and I know exactly

What color bed it should be we just got to give it a little time now in the meantime while wait from some situations to get a little bit better well I think it’s time we definitely come over to the Villager and oh look at that because I

Took this trade it’s discounting the tra it’s a beautiful mechanic all right so let’s unpack that one a little bit a long story short villagers have a supply and demand mechanic as well yeah if you couldn’t tell these are one of the most advanced things in the entire game

Supply and demand mechanic basically if I take one trade like a lot that price might actually go up because the Villager is smart and realizes that I really want whatever I’m buying there if I take other trades like say this trade yeah this whole supply and demand thing

It doesn’t last for very long but long story shorted villagers can alter the prices of their trades it could go up it could go down whatever now usually this whole supply and demand thing it doesn’t like uh you don’t all of a sudden get like way less like seven paper from 24

Or whatever but yeah now now H now no no now that I level you up and you have this Compass trade that might give me a lot of experience these map trades though those are interesting considering the fact that I now thanks to the witch Farm have an automatic Redstone farm

That I could AFK at theoretically in between episodes I might not even need that glass that I’m smelting up after all but anyways these map trades the map trades are fascinating so every single cartographer villager well before the experimental villager traits that don’t really apply to this video so we’re not

Going to talk about them but every single cartographer villager will offer you an ocean Explorer map and a woodland Explorer map at different levels the cartographer’s trades are pretty much always going to be in the same order which means Ocean map you’re going to get that one first and then Woodland map

You’re going to get that one second now the map that the Villager is going to sell is going to link to the closest woodland mension or ocean Monument to wherever that villager is currently working and living if you move the Villager around like I took this one and

Moved it like a th000 blocks well because I’ve unlocked the trade it’s going to lead me right back to the same Woodland Mansion every single time I buy this map from this villager it’ll be the same one anyways an expert cartographer Villager has a spot for banners this

Villager will be able to sell me two different types of banners it’ll be two random colors any color to go ahead and wrap things up though and get you all the way to master let’s go ahead and sell you a couple more compasses back out give you a second it’s a whole lot

Of emeralds no no no sir no sir those are my emeralds and then just like that a brand new fancy Banner pattern we did it so I feel like at this point legally I have to I need to buy the banner pattern it’s got a discount and everything so that’s great glow

Banner pattern you come with me we’ll talk about that before the end of the episode but now I think it’s about time we go ahead and make your house a little cozy beginning with the berries first sweet berries at this entire base like over here what’s kind of crazy at least

To me is the fact that we don’t have a single Sweet Berry at that entire base but that was like our big Main thing over here at the starter base oh boy golly it’s Times Like These I’m so grateful that somebody came in here and built this beautiful ice Road for me

Because getting all the way back over to oh no not again not again why do you keep doing that stop it h getting back over to the starter base was real simple I’ll fix that later it’s kind of fitting that we’re all the way back over at the dusty old

House in this episode isn’t it pretty cool see I had this cool dream this vision of maybe taking like the Sweet Berry bush and grow oh that grew fast take the Sweet Berry bush and growing it over here on the side of this building I feel like the red tones with

The rest of the building that could look pretty cool I can also connect this all up and make this like a fully proper planter box with a couple more blocks it’s a cool simple little build trick that I love to use and speaking of simple cool little build tricks that I

Love to use check this out if I jump up and put a fence right there and a fence right there then I put a fence gate in the middle of them I mean that’s a cool border that guy I could pull that off and make that look pretty cool however

Let’s say I went ahead and like carried that out on the whole roof and open these Gates I go ahead and do that and then boom from a ways away you get this cool little like H different shape right there in the middle you see what I’m

Talking about I think that adds to a build a lot now while I get a little bit more detailing done here I’d like to address today’s beautiful perfect winner of a comment of the day a couple episodes ago in fact two I asked for the perfect names for the swamp Outpost and

Said the best comment would win the best comment they won gertrud’s Landing in honor of the original owner it’s it’s beautiful it’s sentimental it makes perfect sense inside of my brain and it’s like a it’s like a cool inside joke if you don’t know who Gerard is or or

Was well it’s kind of like that whole Gail Lew situation going on right now you know you know salute staircases specifically copper ones I don’t know about you but I feel like these are some of the best looking chairs in the entire game maybe we’ll have a chair like sitting over here

Working at the table and one chilling over there up top I actually spoiler alert I never finished it up here what I was thinking is maybe something a little bit different to cap it all off we do like gray wool I never use that and speaking of gray wool I definitely

Absolutely need to make a wool Farm really really soon another thing we can do up top to finish it off is some beams those look good we’ll go ahead and hide a light source in there for good measure keep it nice and safe out on the front

Of the build I was looking at it and it looks a little plain and flat what if I maybe added another planter box right there this time for the Box keeping realistic of course you would never reach into it so we’ll go ahead and plant something different up on top of

It maybe the red flowers to Accent the berries we’ll do signs on the side of it to kind of like finish off the side of it and then on the bottom we’ll do these trap doors just like that think that looks cool now that I’m now that I’m

Looking at a double look at it there H the top is not finished I like the great wool but maybe something like that might finish it up a little bit better I mean not that you can see it from literally anywhere I don’t think I have a view of

It like literally at all but I’m I’m sure it looks good front of the build a beautiful idea to finish this up a couple more fences that looks good for the inside of the build oh it’s simple almost too simple we craft the scaffolding we place the scaffolding

Down the scaffolding of course it’s a table maybe another little shelf over here why not upgrade these torches with lanterns oh definitely lanterns so much better so in here I was thinking maybe fancy green double bed for this villager after all you’re a profit machine you’re very important villager I think I’ll

Probably go ahead and move that over I think that might make it look a little nicer over here maybe some gray carpet we can pull it in from the ceiling I guess too that’ll kind of be fine I rearranged a little bit I think this looks maybe nicer over on the outside of

The build to maybe like finish it up a little bit more candles candles are beautiful I’ll light them later and then I was thinking maybe some fences in here as well maybe just like a couple for detailing or something kind of break up the model a little bit I mean because of

Where the build is sitting and everything the garden is kind of already like finished it’s just connects to the other one but there are a couple things that I could come in here and add maybe some like bushes a little bit less pink flowers you know things like that we add

In some of this stuff take away some of the other stuff and the build will the build will be [Applause] done so look this is one thing that I genuinely am still so in the dark on like I don’t know what I want to do with

The roads around here so I’m just going to go ahead and not do it today usually I would but maybe we’ll have like a path that connects to here and then connects over to here and everything like that oh yeah and by the way one of the big

Reasons I wanted to build this build and put it where I put it here today is it’s going to go hand in hand with this villager farm now that we have easy emeralds all that I need to do is harvest the Vaper walk down the road

Then go ahead turn the paper to emeralds then walk right next door and buy all of The Mending that I need now today wrapping everything up here I don’t think I’m going to need to go ahead and do a little bit of mending trading or anything like that but in a future maybe

In the very very soon future so check this out here cool little build trick that you could do to like maybe put a label on your build if you don’t want to use a sign or something like that we’re going to go ahead and start with a trap

Door we’ll put another trap door right there and I’ll actually put one more trap door like that I go ahead and pull this log out and now I have like you know kind of like trap doors all connecting just like that after that I go ahead and put an item frame on the

Trapo and as long as I don’t open the trapo it’ll stay there forever finally to cap it off I put something in the item frame to label what it is say paper and this tree blocks it but you get the vibe yeah I know this tree is a

Little close to the build completely in the way but it’s also like the perfect cherry tree shape IL legally I can’t destroy it it has to stay over on the inside of the build there are a couple things that I think I would like to get

In maybe a clock so the Villager friend it could like always tell the time I I can reach yeah it can always tell the time so now it like you know knows when it’s time to stop working for the day also of course the best painting in the

Entire world we’re going to need to get that one in give it a little bit of time and boom there we go we get the best painting that’s so cool I almost forgot what of the most modern and one of one of my most favorite build and decoration

Tips tricks is these pot things I love these pots I think they look so cool maybe we’ll put one on the outside and one on the inside as well I totally need to come back in and get more gray wool so I’ll do that in between episodes the

Very final thing that I want to throw into this build we’re not going to use it today but final thing is a loop to conclude the world’s easiest potentially easiest Emerald Farm of all time this cartographer villager paired with a sweet sweet sugar cane
