10 Famous Bugs in the History of Minecraft!

Hello everyone this is mumbo and welcome back to another minecraft video and in this one we’re going to be taking a look at bugs now everyone knows that minecraft has had a handful of bugs in it over the years so i thought in today’s video i will take you through

Some of the most famous ones now we’re going to start things off today with a really quite easy one of course that is the buzz switch place down this regular piston right here that a redstone block diagonal to it now this redstone block is actually powering this piston but

This piston doesn’t actually realize it yet until we cause an update and then it will extend super useful in pretty much all redstone circuits and i use it all the time now one of the most famous bugs especially in terms of item duplication is of course the sand generator now

These things seem to stick around for absolutely ages because every time mojang tried to patch it someone would come along and create a bigger and more efficient design that actually generated sand even faster i myself even got involved at one point but a good gigantic design that created thousands

Upon thousands of sand every minute it’s a lot of fun another absolutely killer duplicator was of course the powered rail duplicator now this is for those of you who have played minecraft for a very long time indeed because this existed way back in the day but all you had to

Do was place a powered rail next to a sticky piston then flick a lever a bunch of times and suddenly he had thousands of the stuff it was a lot of fun to play with but sadly that got patched a long long time ago onto a slightly more

Recent duplicated glitch and that is the hopper duplicator all you had to do was run two hoppers into one another throw an item into one of the hoppers so that it travels back and forth walk out of the chunks then walk back in to unload them reload them and occasionally you

Will have duplicated the item now this relied on some pretty specific circumstances but if you magnified it aka build a bunch of these things you’ll be able to reliably duplicate item minecraft 1.9 has brought with it a bunch of really exciting features and one of those new features is in fact a

Bug the piston translocation bug which is essentially a very very fancy way of saying that pistons disappear when they retract now this can be used in various different things for example this elevator the piston will power and retract pulling us through the piston and up onto the next level meaning that

We can create some really awesome elements but unfortunately minecraft 1.9 also killed off quite a few very useful bugs indeed one of those being the item elevation bug now this was a way in which you could place items against fence posts that were next to blocks and

Then they would travel up through the fence post then up through the blocks and they would basically continue up until they reach the very top it was a very simple and elegant way of creating item elevators now there are ways to do it in minecraft 1.9 but they’re nowhere

Near as simple and all of them involve redstone which is a bit of a shame it used to be that when you melted ice the water would not update now this meant that you would have a floating water source block it wouldn’t be flowing anywhere it wouldn’t do anything until

You caused their block updates now this meant that you could have mob elevators that didn’t have any signs or anything like that or you could just have them floating around because floating water sources look really cool but once again this is another bug that was killed off

By minecraft 1.9 but staying on the subway device one of the most useful bugs in minecraft was when ice was able to melt in the nether and it would create water now this meant you had a flowing water source in the nether you could do all sorts of things with it for

Example you create blaze farms with actual flowing water streams or you could just let it drop down onto the lava and create tons upon tons of obsidian it was super useful but of course it got patched really quite quick another bike that got destroyed in minecraft 1.9 was the shifting floors

Now this meant that when you push blocks back and forth they would turn invisible very very quickly indeed but this was just about enough time for mobs and players to fall through them now this was perfect for things like witch farms and mob farms and it was used quite

Commonly in the hermitcraft series 3 world but sadly all of that was broken in the 1.9 update and on to the final bug of today’s video and that is these guys the creepers now these are pretty much the face of minecraft everyone recognizes them when they think of
