10 Redstone Builds Perfect for Survival Minecraft

Redstone in Minecraft is fun though it can be difficult to find practical uses for it but no worries because in this video I’ll show you 10 Redstone builds perfect for survival Minecraft the first one is a color changing rainbow Beacon this is great because it goes between eight different colors four main ones

And then four ones that are combinations of other colors and as beacons are usually just one color that isn’t changing is a really good way of making these look even cooler so of course start by laying out a beacon then you want four pieces of glass one red one

Yellow one lime and one blue and lay them out going around the beacon something like this where you basically have the red and green ones at the bottom here and the blue and yellow ones one block higher all these glass blocks a little bit away from the beacon beam

And place a sticky piston that would push these glass blocks into the beam from every single angle and I just want to take any building block and put three of them up here on either side of these pistons and down below make a very wide C shape here where you’re building block

Goes out seven blocks long and then one block in either direction and place a detector rail at the block that’s behind each one of the Pistons and two powered rails connecting to that so that every single one of these blocks has a rail on top of it except for the corner ones in

Each of the corners put a standard rail so we get that turn and place two levers flicking them on on every single side of this area basically to make sure that all those sections of rails are powered on and it’s almost finished all you have

To do now is place down a mine cart push that mine cart and this thing is working and you can just see as that Minecart goes around the track here it’ll never stop it it’s just pushing those blocks and they’re making this beam go through all the colors at the right timing so

The beam never loses color and even at certain points we have a merged color between the different ones providing a nice transition that is a simple way of making a rainbow Beacon inside of Minecraft the next Redstone build that actually works really well in survival is an armor equipper now you can make

These a couple different ways one of them is like this and the other one is basically by digging down something like that having droppers facing inwards in every direction and putting that pressure plate in the center then you want to get out a set of armor and fill

Up each one of these dispensers with that armor type where you could technically just put one piece of armor in each dispenser you just have to refill it later and with this something as easy as just four dispensers and one or two pressure plates you can basically

Have an auto armor equipper just like that so that let’s say you want to be in a situation where you can quickly go from unequipped to equipped you can literally just jump into a little area or walk down a pathway and you are suddenly covered in full netherade armor

You could do this with diamond or iron though if you want to as well maybe even have your specific pieces of armor in here for instance maybe we could just have our standard pair of netherrate boots in here with feather falling 4 and then one of these we could have a pair

Of elytra and so because of that you could kind of get into your flight suit by basically walking through here and going from let’s say your standard armor set to your flight armor set and of course this doesn’t actually have to be limited to armor you could do with a lot

Of different things just going into a space and then suddenly becoming fully equipped which is pretty fun of course I’m not sure if there’s anything quite as satisfying as literally just instantly seeing yourself be full of armor something you could even do while you’re building your base is literally

To have a secret exit and that exit is something it takes you through this area and so basically if you need to leave in a hurry you could have over most vital items be dispensed onto as you ran by speaking of entrances of course there is always the classic 2×2 piston door but

How do you actually make one of these simple Redstone Creations that you can enter into your base in a really stylish and automatic looking way we have to set up something like this and I’ll show you what to do first start by placing down a two by two of blocks choosing where you

Want your piston door to go then Place Pistons one block away from it on either side like this so that when these would open up it would grab onto this you then just want to place any block on either side here and additionally Place some pressure plates down on either side here

So you can step on these and go through your door underneath those pressure plates there we want to dig out a small space and this will basically be a six block area where above these we have pressure plates and above these there are we’re going to place a c shape of

Redstone and also break these blocks here place a torch on this side break these blocks and place a torch on that side and then with some Redstone lines simply connect this up making a small pathway from these going downwards over to where this torch is on this side and

The same thing over here place down Redstone make it go downwards one block lower every single time and have that also connect up to the torch there then just grab whatever blocks you want the wall that door is going to be and use that to cover up all the Redstone and

The Redstone is fairly far away from the actual door entrance so it’s pretty easy to cover it up but for whatever you end up doing we now have a functional 2×2 piston door and of course this is a really great decorational element to any build not only having an automatic door

But also you can make this look even more modern if you want by using glass or really any other block you want and that’s how you make an easy two by two piston door that can be fit in a lot of places in your survival worlds you can

Also modify the design slightly to let’s say make a 2×3 piston door it’s completely up to you how far you take this concept here’s a great Redstone build to make in all of your survival worlds and that is a two-way flying machine it just needs four honey block

So that you can also use slime blocks if you want two sticky pistons two observers two blocks that cannot be pushed by Pistons so that could be something like let’s say two furnaces and also two trap doors basically start by making the first station for the

Minecart so place down a furnace as well as a trap door then place an observer facing that trapdoor and a sticky piston going out from that Observer two honey blocks from there and this way place an observer pointing this direction and a sticky piston coming out of that and two

More honey blocks and believe it or not that’s it almost done all you have to do now is take a look at where this will end up so for instance we can see that this is its current position so you know that’s going to end up on this Iceberg

Over here and so because of that we’ll place then a trapdoor and another furnace for it to be stopped on on this area and that is the flying machine done literally all you have to do now is flip that trap door and you can stand and be

Pushed perfectly on top of these blocks you can even throw if you want some items let those items be taken with you as they will stick to the honey as it travels over this direction you can see we’re about to land on this other station and the great thing about this

Flying machine is it is a two-way flying machine which means we can go over here flip this trapdoor and then they push this direction as well what you can do also if you think the honey blocks are too expensive is you can replace this with slime blocks then just place two

Standard blocks here on top of the slime blocks and when you flip that we’ll still get pushed with this correctly we’re just kind of squished between that block and the slime block here making like a makeshift seat and you can even make them go vertically if you want by

Literally doing the in entire build the other way so for instance having this go upwards like that and having the Observer go this way the Piston go that way and literally just invert everything directly we could flick this trap door right here I wouldn’t get pushed up here

Going up into the air and of course as we have nothing here to stop us we are eventually going to end up all the way up at y 319 which definitely is pretty crazy if you consider how easy it was to build this it can be super annoying

Having huge amounts of items that you need to sort in Minecraft but thankfully Redstone can solve this problem somewhat so for instance right here we have a redstone sorting machine let’s say we throw down a bunch of these random items we have on us they’re not even going to

Enter into the hopper they’ll just sit there and do nothing but if we get the correct item that this thing is supposed to sort and that is redstone dust and we throw some of it in here you’ll notice it will pick up the redstone dust and the Redstone Dust that it does collect

Will be put into this chest completely separated so how do you make this little sorting machine and make it work correctly well the first piece of good news is that it’s fully tileable as you can see it’s only one block wide literally just make a plush shape like

This put another block on the side break the central block take a redstone repeater put it this way and also take two Redstone Dust place them on top with a comparator facing towards that redstone dust and a redstone torch right here have a chest coming out from there

Like this and have a hopper going into this chest and then also have another Hopper going into a random block and you can break that block get an item that you don’t think you would use anywhere else but the best idea is just to rename something so for instance right here we

Could just rename this dirt to placeholder then more or less in the top Hopper right here you want to place down five of these items in every single slot except for the last one and Whatever item you want this to pick up we’ll do Hoppers for example you want to put one

Two and three there you’ll notice the third one will come out of there and it’ll be stuck right down here now this thing is fully working and we can throw in let’s say some Hoppers Manville’s other random items it’ll pick up everything and put it in correctly if it

Is a hopper but everything else will just sit on top no obviously you can extend this out to be really long and have a whole lot of sorters that it’s working with and even put a system with flowing water and I have talked about how to make a fully automatic item

Sorting system before if you’re interested now for this Redstone bill will be an automatic firework show launcher and this is a good thing because obviously normally when you’re playing Minecraft and you just light off a firework you only really get one perspective from it though with this

You’ll be able to actually see those fireworks explode from really far away so you want to start by choosing where you want the fireworks to be dispensed from we’re going to place down four dispensers in the ground like this and break all the blocks that are in between

Them and then have repeaters on full delay going into these three so we sort of have a chain like that and with these two we’re gonna have a repeater going into here with no delay and repeater coming out of that with no delay break this block here and place a torch

Another light up all of these in a row and put a lever on top of this torch here and flick it on it should also now turn all these off Place three Redstone Dust going into this lever and to finish it all off you just want to cover this

With some slabs if you don’t want all this to be shown so you can do this fairly easily by just covering this all around like this or you can cover up a little bit less if you want it’s literally whatever you want you could do something really basic or maybe place

Down some other things like let’s say some barrels you could keep it basic or you could place down some barrels or other items sort of thrown about as decoration it’s whatever you want and finish off by putting in your load of fireworks because it’s a random chance

For a dispenser to select any of the slots inside of it what I would suggest doing is having nine different types of fireworks each of them in a different slot of the firework dispenser when we flick the switcher you’ll notice this basically is a clock where it’ll fire

Off four fireworks wait for a second fire off for more which I think is a good pattern and of course we can see these from Super far away as well and having tons of different variability in terms of which fireworks are being launched off should continue to make

This really interesting so that’s how you make a simple firework launcher inside of Minecraft for this next Redstone build we have to head into The Nether and you can see right here we’re talking about it is an automatic Basalt Bridge maker these are really fun builds because they’re actually quite simple to

Put together and they actually will fully automatically create a Basalt bridge to take you across the Nether and of course in certain parts of the nether with such incredibly large lava flows and almost endless lava oceans these can be insanely useful so the question is how do you build the strange little

Machine so we’re going to start by putting together a super simple little flying machine at the exact same y level as the lava and we’re going to have this by putting four slime blocks but then replacing two of those slime blocks with sticky pistons going this way and this

Way and with The Observers place them facing outwards on either angle like that and that’s actually the flying machine now done start by placing a slime block underneath this slime block so it’s right inside the lava like that and place two blocks off of that put two

Blue ice on top of those blocks and two Source oil underneath those and I’ll show what this looks like right here and you can basically see that we have these two Soul soil there we’re going to place a block in front of one of these to make

Them start moving and as you can see here it’ll start working in just a second that’s basically the lava of flowanda here and it’ll turn into Basalt almost immediately and these Basalt Bridge generators are super great this way because as long as you have some lava on either side they’ll work

Perfectly and you can get yourself huge amounts of Basalt but also these amazing Basalt bridges made really quickly these actually work with a lot of different designs they’re just one of the easiest ones there is but you can make these even have more blue ice and more soil

Soil if the Pistons can push it correctly to make yourself some absolutely insane Basalt Bridges just be sure to build them in an area where they can actually travel for a long time because if you don’t they’ll eventually just run into the coastline of something and stop pretty quickly I think one of

The funnest things you can add to a build in Minecraft especially a house is a doorbell for instance we can hear this doorbell chime when we open up our door like this to go inside of it and just sort of a nice little touch as in real

Life most houses do have a doorbell now of course the question would be how do you make this and maybe even make one that’s a lot nicer all you really have to do is just have a redstone line going up to some connected note blocks and

Then just to work out a tune so for instance right here this button is going into this block which will then power this Redstone down here and of course that Redstone could go to a note block or something else just be where the note block has to have air above it or it’s

Not going to work but if you happen to have enough room in your house you could actually make a really complicated doorbell and doorbells are generally meant to just get someone’s attention so just by connecting up some random note blocks here and let’s say sectioning them off inside of our house you could

Even do something where they’re literally just in a raised area of the floor or super deep underground let’s say right under here we could make the entire area with all of our note blocks whatever you want to do to conceal them but basically you press the button and

Of course we’ll hear the that entire tune play you can even take this concept of note blocks to insane levels let’s say varying the amount of time between certain ones of these just something like this of course there’s all kinds of possibilities with the Note Blocks also of course because different materials

Underneath note blocks change how they sound we could make our entire doorbell sound Retro by putting Emerald blocks beneath it so that entire thing will now have a chiptune or pixely sound to it one of my all-time favorite builds inside of Minecraft is a vending machine even let’s say something simple like

This so for instance it says one Diamond per Golden Apple we thrown a diamond the machine takes that and then it gives us a golden apple this may seem complicated but it’s actually quite simple and what’s great is let’s say we throw in a different item something that’s not of

Course a diamond that will just not pick it up I’m gonna make this you first want to make the actual visual part of the vending machine I would suggest designing something like this by basically going on to a wall or even kind of obscure a lot of what you’re

Seeing then place down all the blocks to build the vending machine trapdoors can work really well for this also I’m just going to use these to sort of build the base shape of this also of course we need to have an area where the item comes out of so we’re gonna have a

Dispenser like this that gets dispensed down into there with a slab and behind here or place that with another block so the vending machine seems more 3D and of course there needs to be a place to put a payment and so we’ll place a hopper going into this block and a quart stairs

Like that just to obscure it somewhat we’ll just put our sign of whatever this is for instance this vending machine will give you an elytra for an enchanted golden apple now just down here we’re literally going to make the simple item sorter that I showed earlier on in the

Video which again is just constructed by having this simple shape we’re gonna have the Redstone comparator reading that initial Hopper Redstone line the repeater as well as the torch right under here and we’ll have a single or maybe double chest that this goes into to collect all of our loot now of course

To actually measure this we’re going to do the same thing as we did before where we basically place in some items that would never be put into the machine I would definitely suggest renaming some random item and using it for this 20 of those and we’ll put in three of the

Enchanted golden apples over here as that’s the payment in this system but of course in most systems the payment form would be diamonds you can also put in the dropper here full of all the loot that will be dispensed out so whatever you’re given basically when you actually

Successfully put in the right item and all we have to to do now is just connect this we’re going to use repeater that’s going into a solid block that solid block will have redstone on top travel up and over into that dispenser and this is more or less the entire system done

And so now if we want one elytra we’ll just throw in an enchanted golden apple and there it is right dispensed for us but if we try giving it something else it just won’t work and that’s how you make a simple little vending machine in your Minecraft world some different

Types of items in Minecraft like let’s say arrows or firework Rockets maybe golden carrots are definitely things you need a lot of but then you run out of them as they’re a consumable item and so great way of dealing with this issue without always having to go into your

Chests to try and find more of these items is a quick item dispenser that’ll top you up on whatever you need of these item types you want to start by placing down a random building block then underneath that building block I have a torch tree going off the block like that

So it’s sort of pointing upwards into it and have a stone pressure plate right here that you can walk on just be sure it’s a pressure plate a type that’s not activated by having a bunch of items on top of it then we’ll have a dropper facing outwards from that and a hopper

Going into the dropper a chest going on top of the hopper there on top two observers facing downwards then one facing upwards so they’re always going on and off like that you’ll notice what’s happening as we’re not hearing anything being dispensed out of here inside of this chest you want to put

Whatever consumable item type this is for so let’s say we’ll do this for food we’ll put as many of these food items as we have on us and that’s basically it done so let’s say we need some food we’ll run up here go in front of the

Dropper and our inventory will be filled up with golden carrots it’ll basically just wait here until we have enough of these we can just step out from in front of that and go on our way and continue on anyway those are 10 Redstone Contraptions that are perfect for
