100 Hours In Minecraft Hardcore: Episode 4 – DISASTER

Okay welcome back to uh 35 hours into a hundred hours in hardcore series it turns out that the giant creeper is of course a gunpowder Farm I don’t know why I didn’t know that I’ve spent an hour between episodes just doing some chores basically I’ve reset my copper over

There and I did it very lazily and I’ve been theorizing on what to do with my build it looks incredibly thin from this angle in fact I don’t really know if it’s uh quite what I want but you know this is a build that we’re absolutely

Winging and I’ve now got a basic idea of what I’d like to do but we’re gonna cash out on this gunpowder first and see if it actually did anything not as much as I would I would like so before we can get going on our big

Base there’s a couple of things that we want to do this episode one I’m gonna have to go and get some more materials but also today’s episode is special because it’s the first time we’re going to be having a guest on our server so scar is unfortunately

Going to be off the server for a couple of weeks while he recovers in the hospital from a surgery that he needed to have you can take a look at his video if you need an update on that but he is out of surgery and he is in recovery

Which is really really good news and we wish him all the best and a very very speedy recovery but that means we’re one person short and we need someone to be our mob bait so we’re gonna have a guest later on but first I want to make a bit

Of progress on here and that means like I said getting ourselves a few more blocks now what I plan on doing is adding another Arch here and adding the ring that goes all the way around and really link all this up together now I’ve decided to make that out of some

Deep slate rather than the Blackstone that I went to the Bastion for which means going down into the dangerous parts of the underworld now quite a lot of you have told me Korean please stop wearing elytra you need to you need to wear your chest plate it’s dangerous

Without it you see the problem with that is because I wear my elytra 24 7 I will more likely die just from jumping off a cliff because I expect to be able to fly that is the genuine truth I will probably die by wearing my chest plate

So I know what I’m doing sort of not really so whilst girls away today what we would like to do is visit the Woodland mansion that I found in episode one and see if we can’t get him a couple more of totem of undying seeing as he’s

Already used up his as a bit of a welcome back present but for now I’m gonna gather some materials and then we can crack on with some building I also want to point out that we are over 1 000 days Minecraft days into this series which is kind of Bonkers and there’s

Still an awful lot for us to do I did actually think at one point oh let’s go and have a look and see see what advancements we can get but then there’s stuff like this trade with a villager at the build height limit why does that

Exist so it’s uh it’s pretty fair to say we we won’t be doing that I’ve got a good amount of stuff and I think I know what I’m gonna do but I have just spotted a group of goobers and we can just pop them in boats um that way

There’s not an awful lot that they can do now that they’re cruising in the river over there I think we should turn our attention back to our build as it’s going to be quite a significant amount of time to get this ready I think I know what I want to do

Although I don’t know where I’m going let’s go Okay that’s as much as I want to do for now do you know what this is starting to look pretty cool for something that I’m just on the Fly building as we go but I can’t help but shake the feeling that this looks an awful lot like part of a

Mega build it doesn’t look like something on its own really this looks like this needs to be attached to a big old Tower here but you know what we’ve only got 100 hours on This Server so well if we make it to 100 hours we have

100 hours on this server and I’ll take part of a mega build over nothing at all so my plan here is to try and make a tower at the end and then try and create some like useful housing area maybe some Farms along the top here but my material

List is uh my my materials are dwindling quite substantially so so although this is part of a build we’ve got more pressing matters because solidarity has just got online our good friend Jim or Tim whatever you want to call him I call him Tim there he is what are we gonna do

I’m gonna do is uh I I kind of have to see this through so that’s it that that is my 100 hours series done but what I am gonna do is uh I’m gonna meet back with the guys I’m gonna revive myself and then we will play this episode all

The way through and you guys can choose whether whether that counts or not it definitely counts I just exploded I have no idea what happened I’m gonna play uh I’m gonna play Jimmy’s footage so that we can see what it looked like from their perspective because I just instantly died

Hours in vanilla Minecraft yeah um from my perspective fellas there were no vindicators and I just exploded that was it I was gone instantly but you guys saw that there was four guys yeah well yeah we weren’t stupid and we survived So I’m Never Gonna live this dance oh okay

Time oh there’s no time oh well I had I should have been holding my totem instead I was holding my shield because I thought you could block and then you can swap to one totem of undying once you’re in trouble well we can all agree it’s Jimmy’s fault

No it wasn’t it oh it’s so good I’m so depressed I’m so depressed did you wanna did you want to do the thing that everyone does when they leave or not or will it will it kill the server where they just light it on fire

Oh yeah I’m down I I am fully on board with that connection this place is so so when we all die in a burning building yeah let’s quickly get out because uh it’s it’s wow it’s really catches yeah I’m checking fast everybody I don’t know the way out oh

World I can’t just get a free pass and therefore I’m going to restart yes I’m gonna still play in this world but my timer will have to reset and everything and I mean everything will have to go from here this is going to be pretty painful to watch everyone and

Don’t feel sad because it was my fault it was entirely my fault everything has got to go we’re starting from scratch in this world we’re gonna have to abandon this base oh man at 40. oh oh man everything’s gotta go everything’s gotta go goodbye everything except netherite so what’s gonna happen

Is that this base along with everything in it will no longer be accessible to me no more no more bass whatsoever oh um well I think that’s pretty symbolic actually I don’t think I can put this out so after all of these items despawn there will be nothing left at this base

It’s fully abandoned so this is where we say goodbye to this base I shan’t be entering this until I am back at 40 hours I won’t be having any of my gear but I think I will leave the villagers alive just because it seems wrong to get

Rid of them so I’m about to do something very very very stupid and that is restart from scratch and try in I don’t know how uh This is 40 hours of this is two full days this is weeks worth of work already I’ve got to start all over

Again so let me make this clear if I die again if I die on my second time doing this that’s it I won’t have time to restart ever again the stakes could not be higher I was already kind of in a in a rush to get to 100 hours it’s time for

Me to restart the hundred hours in hardcore I really hope that this time we make it the full way and because I don’t really want you guys the audience to have to watch the first 40 hours again I’m basically gonna play this in a voice over mode so here we go again

This is gonna be so stupid that’s it the timer is back at zero zero zero zero it’s painful it’s genuinely painful to see that occur oh man but this is the real deal and if we if we want to do this honorably the 100 hour challenge

There can’t be any free passes and I need to be clear the only thing we can do with this timer is reset it we can reset it back to zero and that is it there’s there’s no there’s no commands to make it go faster or skip ahead

There’s nothing the only thing we can do is reset it it takes the value straight from the server of playtime from reset and that’s it so right I’m not gonna make you watch the 40 hours I’m gonna try and catch up to scar and Joel I probably won’t make it

All the way to 40 hours but I’m going to film bits and Bobs of my journey back to 40 hours in Minecraft and the build that I started well I think we’re gonna keep that and we will return to that build when we earn it when we get back to 40

Hours played then we can go back but looks like we gotta we gotta do a starter base again we gotta get we gotta get a whole bunch of stuff back together Head Start oh Head Start not a bad not a bad thing to see in in the start of this

Wow nice man I’m not 33 hours uh I’m not I’m not taking any free passes but I will be taking mushrooms good luck I’m gonna continue just playing the end game because I’m not an idiot who died in a mansion ah I knew I knew it I knew it

Even though I’m doing The Honorable thing I’m still taking it can you get away from my chest please hey I said I didn’t say anything about taking other people’s stuff what did you just teach I think I’m gonna spend the first 10 hours just roaming the Wilderness before

I decide to come back here being here is a little bit too painful at the moment so I’m just gonna I’m gonna run off into the Wilderness and I’m gonna get myself set up the old-fashioned way and just go exploring see if I can find diamonds without having to mine too much and

We’ll uh we’ll get many hours in a short amount of time so that you don’t feel like you’re watching the same thing twice who knows how this is gonna go foreign Foreign Foreign Foreign Foreign okay we might not be back to 40 hours but I think it’s about time that this episode went out otherwise it’s going to be a couple of days delayed and you’ll be wondering what happened so it’s been a disaster and a redemption in this episode I’m gonna give this one more

Shot so let me show you what I’ve been working on now as per my agreement I have not touched or entered my old base to me this is now finished over there we can we can leave it as a monument to the first 40 hours of this hardcore series

But we are now moving over here and I actually kept the same sort of themes and you know Mossy rules and it’s a hobbit hole with a modern house on top that’s what I’m going for but it’s kind of similar so it doesn’t feel too disconnected so as you can see I’m

Definitely not finished but as I said I need to get this video out so what I’ve got is a lovely hobbit hole entrance and I’ve got a very rudimental set up and I will be in the next episode trying to catch up those 24 hours that are still

Missing and all of those hours are probably going to go into setting up this base bigger and better than the one over there than the original so what I have learned is that when I’m not recording with commentary on I can get quite a lot of things done and I can

Also take my time with things a bit more I went caving a lot and I also buy absolute chance manage to find a dungeon at the bottom of this extremely long Corridor and by another miracle the staircase lined up perfectly with my base so I actually spent a couple of hours

Setting up two different enchanting stations this is what I was using for XP during my time of trying to enchant things I have not got very good Enchanted gear my next and my elytra ran out so what I’m planning is the upstairs in my base which is currently pretty

Open this is going to be where my new villager setup is going to be I’ve managed to secure myself a zombie and a zombie villager I just need one more of you and then I can set up my villager farm again I can’t tell you how tempting

It is just to go back to base a and use the villagers there but it’s not in the spirit of Hardcore so as much as it hurts me and I do have 24 hours to fill I will have to make another small villager setup but what I really need is

Just the basics Unbreaking mending that kind of thing so I did opt in the end for a montage of my experience and I think it worked pretty well I decided not to do any voice over for it because I thought I could tell the story without

Having to say a word I’m just lucky or skilled that I made it through without dying at all so with that disastrous episode and a new beginning I shall see you in the next episode and I mean it if I die again that is the end
