Hey guys, I know a lot of people are still playing Minecraft 1.18.2 with Forge, so I wanted to cover a video for that. This video is going to cover mods released throughout July and August, and while there were so many releases, I’ve just picked some I liked the look of. You can find the link to download these mods in the description below. The main feature provided by the Moss and Monsters mod is a new Biome, which is the Mossy Forest. It’s made up of blocks like Ancient Trees, Azalea and Moss. Some new creatures inhabit this Biome, Like Moss Crabs, Moss Munchers and Tree Spirits. The Moss Crabs can even be tamed and ridden, and they’re pretty big. And Tree Spirits will need to be manually summoned using Moss Catalysts. But there’s a few more features, including some new armor and weapons. Better Combat adds a combat system inspired from Minecraft Dungeons. The most noticeable change comes to animations, with there being some different ones that will be alternated between. Some other useful changes are included, like having improved weapon collision, being able to swing through grass and dual wield combinations. Gaggle of Golem adds 7 Golems into Minecraft, which can all be summoned by building small structures. These are the Redstone, Copper, Melon, Furnace, Icy, Magma and Stone Golem. Most of these Golems will just be good for patrolling your bases of Villages, As they’ll all attack hostile entities in different ways. The cheapest one to make is probably the Stone Golem, with the Furnace Golem being the most expensive. Structural Statues adds around 20 different Statues into Minecraft, made up of Blocks. They spawn very commonly, so you’ll have no problem finding them. They’re Made up of different blocks, which you can mine and they might be useful for your own builds. Balanced Crates adds 9 new storage Crates into Minecraft, which are mostly made from different Woods. They all have Crafting Recipes too. One thing I like about this mod is that when Looking inside a Crate, it will be visibly open, and remain that way until manually closed. And they have 44 storage slots, which is a bit more than standard Chests. Nock Enough Arrows expands on Archery in Minecraft, and adds 23 new Arrows which can all be Crafted inside the Fletching Table. There’s a few interesting ones, like the Hookshot Arrow which leashes hit entities. Teleportation Arrows will teleport the player wherever it lands. Repulsive Arrows will cause nearby entities to run away, which might be useful during the night. If you Hit mobs with Love Arrows, then they’ll enter love mode, allowing them to create a baby. The Dousing Arrow can remove any fires, and if you hit Lava with it, then it will turn into Obsidian. But there’s many other useful Arrows you might like. The mod also includes a Quiver, which is able To hold 5 stacks of Arrows at once, and some new Enchantments are added to improve on it further. This mod adds a new Village into Minecraft, which is the Dark Grove Village. You can find it as you naturally explore your world, or you can obtain a map leading to it from a Cartographer. As you might have noticed, it’s got some slight differences from Vanilla Villages, with the buildings being a different style. There’s even some new ones too, which have their own Villagers with professions like the Wizard, Beekeeper and Coppersmith. Overall, they’re nicely designed, and I’d say they’re more compact and larger than regular Villages. Zombie Mobs introduces zombified versions of many Minecraft creatures, such as Chickens, Cows, Foxes, Wolves, Goats, Dolphins and even Pandas, with there being a few others. They’re going to be hostile to players, non-zombified versions of themselves and to Villagers. You can Find them naturally spawning during the night, but regular mobs can become zombified if they die during the night too. And like with regular Zombies, they’ll burn during the day. Zombified versions of animals have their own traits, like how a Zombie Cat has poisonous scratches, Or how Zombie Pigs have a chance of exploding if they’re set on fire. You’re able to cure them with a Splash Potion of Weakness and a Golden Apple, and then wait one hundred seconds. Illuminations was recently made available for this version of Minecraft. The first Change you might notice is Fireflies, which can appear in a variety of Biomes. In the Nether, you can find Will O’ Wisps in the Soul Sand Valleys, or go to the End and you can find Chorus Petals falling from Chorus Flowers. But there’s quite a lot of other effects, With some being themed around Halloween, like Eyes in the Dark, Pumpkin Spirits and Poltergeists. Light Meals adds lots of new foods and drinks into Minecraft, which can mostly be crafted from vanilla ingredients, including a few new items provided with the mod. There’s new Pies, Soups, Stews, Salads and Meats. There’s even 2 new placeable cakes, which are the Honey Cake and Pumpkin Cake. From now on, some creatures like Squid, Horse, Polar Bears, Llamas and Ocelot will drop meat of their own which can be cooked And eaten too. And there’s a new set of tools which can be created from Caramel. Video player will allow you to play videos in the Minecraft window. Currently, it doesn’t have support for YouTube, and it takes up the entire game window. You can play Videos by using a command, and you can stop playing them by sneaking and pressing Escape. Spook adds a single creature, and it’s called the Eyeghost. They have a chance of spawning each time an undead mob is killed, but they can naturally be found in the Soul Sand Valleys and Nether Wastes. They’re hostile, and will attack on sight with both melee and ranged attacks, the latter of which can blind players. Eyeghosts can even teleport around and remove torches. To get started with this mod, craft a Portal Gate from 4 Amethyst Shards, 4 Deepslate and a Lodestone. When you place this block down, a small Portal Gate structure will be built. You’ll want to build at least two of these in different locations throughout your world, or even Dimensions. You’ll also want a Rune Stone which requires an Amethyst Shard and 2 Deepslate. So what we have is a teleportation mod, and I’ve really simplified it here, there’s some more features like recoloring of Portals, setting delays or allowing creatures to teleport as well. I’m not sure why you might want a mod like this, but Dog Yeeter allows you to turn your Wolves into lethal weapons. To start, craft a Yeet Rope from a Slimeball and a Lead. When you pick your Wolf up, it will become a launchable weapon, and it deals quite a lot of damage too. Your Wolf will be fine for the most part. Mobs and Growth Origins adds 2 new Biomes into Minecraft, which are the Spice Woods and the Nut Woods. In the Spice Woods, you can find the likes of Spicewood Trees, Coffee Beans and Pomegranates. An animal that spawns here in the Cini, which can be tamed with Coffee Beans. In the Nut Woods, you’ll find Nutwood Trees instead, as well as Peanuts, Vanilla and Almonds, and the creature you can find here is the Deezi. The mod also includes lots of new wood types to match the new trees, as well as Coffee and Peanut Butter among a few other items. Selfie Cam adds some new camera angles, which can be accessed by pressing the F6 key. When you do so, it looks like you’re holding a camera in either your left or right hand, and then you can just take screenshots like you normally would. I like the Villagers Sell Animals mod. With it installed, you’ll be able to obtain baby versions of Chickens, Pigs, Cows, Sheep, Wolves, Foxes, Horses, Cats, Goats and Rabbits. They come in crates, and can be obtained from different Villagers, and it’s definitely going to help out when it comes to farming. Simply Swords doesn’t just add Swords, but a whole variety of weapons. Included with the mod is Glaives, Battleaxes, Chakrams, Katanas and a few others which all have different tiers. Some weapons have magic and unique variants too, and some have recipes, While others can be found in Chests. Though a great feature is that this mod is designed to work alongside the Better Combat mod, which I previously mentioned. That’s the end of this list. I might do another one of these in the future, and I’ve got more content coming out soon including Resource Packs, Data Packs and some themed videos, so stick around for those. Video Information
