Whether you’re a Minecraft pro or a brand new player, These are 22 Minecraft Tricks that Save you HOURS! Number 1: Everyone uses coal for smelting at some point, but did you know that if you convert coal into coal BLOCKS that you actually save coal? One coal smelts 8 blocks, but one coal BLOCK smelts 80, which is nearly as strong as using a lava bucket! Number 2: Have you ever wished that you could mine while AFK in Minecraft? Well you actually can! If you’re on Java edition, you can hold down left click then hold down F3 and T at the same time. When this loading screen disappears, you will be breaking blocks hands free! Number 3: Getting blaze rods can be annoying, especially if you get lit on fire. Luckily, even though you can’t place water in the nether, you can still fill up cauldrons! If you’re having trouble hopping in in a hurry, you can add a trapdoor on top to line yourself up! Number 4: Now, we’ve all gotten lost in a cave once or twice, but if you simply ALWAYS Place your torches on the left wall, whenever you’re trying to find your way back home all you have to do is follow the torches on the right! Now I know this sounds dumb, but you would be shocked to see how much time this can save you. And you know what else could save you a lot of time? Subscribing to see more Minecraft tricks like these! Number 5: An old trick that a lot of new players don’t know, is that using your shovel on gravel and sand is actually a BAD idea. You can break a whole pillar of these blocks instantly if you place a torch below falling blocks instead! And the best part is that it saves durability! Number 6: A cool trick I use a lot in creative mode lets you swap out blocks INSTANTLY, even in the air. All you have to do is time it so that you both left and right click at the same time, with only the smallest delay on the right click. Once you master the timing, you can build at blazing speeds. Number 7: And while we’re on the topic of Creative Mode, don’t forget to give yourself a debug stick! This little guy can make any block in the game, even ones that shouldn’t be possible! I’ll link a full guide to using this up top. Number 8: Fences are a great way to keep animals in or mobs out. Unfortunately, they block your path too. However, if you use trapdoors instead of fences then the AI of mobs gets confused but you can happily hop right over! This is a really easy way to make enclosures for animals or even your base! Number 9: Having an army of wolves in Minecraft is always fun, but a lot of players forget that you can dye their collars! Nice. Number 10: Crafting in Minecraft can take a lot of time, especially in PvP games, but learning how to stack recipes to make multiple items at once can save you from a life or death situation. Number 11: Speaking of PvP, splash potions can make a big difference. But the majority of players are actually wasting them! Splash potions are stronger if they land on your head than your feet, so next time throw them up instead of down! Number 12: Tired of Zombies breaking down your door, but hate the way iron doors look? You can build with gravity blocks above your door so that when it’s broken you can still prevent zombies from entering your base! You can even use colored concrete powder! Number 13: Ever get tired of AFKing at a redstone farm? Luckily, Minecraft always keeps the very first spawn chunk loaded so that if your bed breaks you have somewhere to respawn. If you build farms here, you can produce mass amounts of items without even being there! Number 14: Chest organization is a very big deal in Minecraft. You can label your chests not only with item frames, but also with signs at the same time! Number 15: Smokers are great and all, but why waste time waiting for them to cook? Simply light animals on fire before you kill them to get cooked drops instead of raw ones! Number 16: It’s common in Minecraft to migrate your base over large distances, but taking 20 trips to move your items can be a hassle. Luckily, if you get a team of llamas to carry your items, you can lead one and the others in the pack will follow automatically! That one might save you a few hours. Number 17: Speaking of moving mobs, setting up villagers for redstone farms can be rough. However, if you tell a villager you’re interested in trading, they’ll start following you temporarily to try and talk you out of your emeralds. If you continually open and close their trading menu, you can easily lead them into a hole for a farm! I’ll link to a super simple iron farm in Minecraft at the top for those of you that want it. Number 18: Dealing with water in Minecraft can be very annoying, especially when trying To fill up a column for an elevator. Luckily, if you place kelp inside of water it converts to source blocks! Now you can fill up areas with just one bucket! Number 19: When Conduit was added to Minecraft, underwater bases became a big trend. However, lighting them up with sea pickles can be annoying due to how little light they put out. But what most players forget is that lanterns can actually be placed underwater as well! Number 20: Map walls can be cool, but why not label them with named banners? Look how much cooler this is! Number 21: Most players know that farmland has to be within 4 blocks of water to work, but not many people realize just what that means. You can till up to 80 pieces of farmland with just ONE bucket of water! And you can even hide it with a waterlogged slab! Number 22: Everyone has wishes they could build down at one point. Well, you can! If you bring two trapdoors with you, you can place one on the top of a block and one on the bottom and stand between them to lay down. Then you can use the trapdoor above you to place a block downwards! I make a ton of very quick guides on getting better at minecraft without things like sponsors in the way of them.
