Xp is one of the most valuable resources in minecraft you need it at all stages of the game so i’m going to show you three great xp farms in minecraft survival you can build in early middle and late game don’t you go anywhere hello everyone and welcome to another Minecraft 118 farm tutorial from me avamance minecraft is getting harder with the 119 experimental snapshots now available and the introduction of the insanely strong new boss mob the warden being able to enchant to the max is even more important [Applause] but to do that you need more than just Lapis you are going to need some experience so today i’m going to show you how to make three different xp farms that are good at different stages in your minecraft survival game now these are not the only xp farms that are available so don’t go in the comments Sam but what about this but what about this these are just three examples one early game one mid game and one late game so first off let’s look at the early game and by early game i really do mean quite early to be able to build This farm you really only need to have chopped down a few trees and perhaps mined for about 10 to 15 minutes because all you need for this farm is 38 wooden logs 16 pieces of cobble and at least 20 ideally 30 pieces of raw iron the first Thing you need to do is remove 12 0 clogs and the remaining 26 put them into your crafting grid and create yourself a load of planks then take four of them and make yourself a crafting table in that crafting table you want to make yourself 12 chests that should leave you With four oak planks left over take those and then create yourself two furnaces as well now place both of those furnaces down and in the bottom of each grid there place two pieces of oak and in the top place three pieces of oak like that from each of those furnaces you will get Three pieces of charcoal which is the fuel you are going to need to be able to smelt up all of that raw iron remove the charcoal from the furnace and put two of them into the fuel grid and then if you’ve got 30 place 15 and if you’ve got 20 place 10 of your raw iron in each of them and just allow them to smell up in the meantime go into your crafting table and make yourself some sticks the raw iron will smell into iron ingots once both those furnaces have finished you should end up with some iron in your Possession and you’ll notice i’ve already got a little bit of xp two and a half levels you’re then going to place your iron ingots in a v like this there should be five boxes taken up with six in each and then place six of your chests right in the center this will Give you six hoppers come behind your furnaces and dig out the two blocks underneath them like this and once you’re in there get crouching and click into those two blocks there two separate hoppers and come back and behind then into the back press two separate hoppers And into the top two separates now you need to make sure that you’re pressing shift click when you do that then dig out one block in front of each of those furnaces press a chest into one side and then again using shift click press another chest into the side that will Make sure that they stay as individual chest then come behind shift click a chest into that shift click a chest into that you should have two separate chests using some of the there’s temporary blocks to tower up shift clicking a chest onto that and a separate chest onto that so you should Have six separate chests coming into and out of the furnace now with your remaining two oak logs pop them into your crafting table and get yourself some planks we’re just going to build a bit of a surround around this you can perhaps imagine that this is built into The wall of your house the pig probably less so now come around the back now these also could be poking out the sides of your furnaces too and place one of your remaining two charcoals inside each of those come around the front and you will see that those charcoals have taken Up residence in that bottom section of your furnace then with some of the inevitable cobblestone that you have got place eight of each cobblestone into the top two chests that’s going to fire off those two furnaces and they’re going to be cooking down that cobblestone into Stone you can see the stone has just popped through into that chest there now it doesn’t have to be cobblestone that you smelt up in fact there are things that are much better than cobblestone that you can smell up such as cactus however you’re going to have loads of Cobble after that mining session getting the iron so you might as well start somewhere and with two more cobble place them in your crafting table and make yourself a couple of levers once you’ve got those levers come round to the front of your furnaces and shift Click a lever onto the front of each of them you’re going to need those in a moment now if you found coal in your mining expedition then put the coal in those chests at the back if not just smelt up more wood the same way as you Did at the beginning that will get you charcoal which you can then use to smelt up more cobble or cactus or anything else you’d like to smell up now i’m gonna let each furnace smell up eight stacks of cobblestone and we’ll see what xp that gives us in a moment the Furnaces are done and i am in survival mode with exactly zero xp inside these chests we’ve got those eight stacks of stone that came from the ag stacks of coil plus obviously the eight stone that we did right at the beginning the furnaces are now empty apart from one Piece of coal that i’ve just put in there i’m gonna flap down those levers and i’m going to pop in one bit of cobblestone into that one and one bit of cobblestone into that one that when i flip that lever up and flip that lever up that will allow That coal stone to go into it like that got to keep the lever downwards so as it stays in the collection area just here in the collection area i can then collect up that stone and when i do it will give me a load of xp now i have Been going about my business doing absolutely anything i want whilst this has been chugging along i’m going to take one bit of stone and another bit of stone and that has bunged me up for absolutely no cost whatsoever nearly eight experience levels now do bear in mind that is just Eight stacks of cobble per furnace that is not a lot of stuff you’re smelling up when you’re smelling up loads of cactus or loads of stone or maybe loads of wood etc you’re going to get a lot lot more but that’s just the starter right at the Beginning xp farm what about one that’s a little bit further into the game the next farm is a medium game thumb although you could say it’s early medium game because all it needs you to be able to do is get into the nether you want to find yourself a nether waist area that Is relatively flat and has got good travel ability and by that i mean if anything within about 48 blocks of you can literally walk to you without falling down a hole that is a good thing this area here looks pretty good i need to do virtually no terraforming Whatsoever perhaps just allow a little bit of staircasing from that upper level but nothing more than that that’s better now anything on the top bank can just walk down those steps to get to the bottom bank what you need for this farm is inside this chest the top row are the Essential items the middle row are items that i recommend i definitely recommend a bow although you can get away with the sword and definitely try and come in with a pair of golden boots the bottom row is completely optional but really really useful pause the video take a Screenshot let’s crack on you are also gonna need at least one pick because you are gonna dig a two by three hull and you’re probably going to come across some lava as you do it most of these lava pockets are just single pockets and you’re going to dig this down total of 21 blocks so this is one i’m going to dig down another 20 blocks once you’re at the bottom you should have just over five stats of netherrack which you can also put into the early stage farm and smell up next grab one of your hoppers and place it facing into the netherrack Block on one of the longer walls and then using shift click place a hopper into each of those as well so that entire level is hoppers running into this first hopper and then dig out a small area underneath you here take out those blocks there take out those blocks there and make Yourself a little room this is really all the space that you need place down a chest right there and then get yourself a couple of the blocks that you’ve just dug out and then a few slabs you’re gonna want a total of eight slabs like that you can put nine If you wish it’s entirely up to you and then what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna place in our crafting table and our furnace now this bit is completely optional you do not have to put in a crafting table in the furnace but you’re going to get things like golden swords Drop and they’re really useful to smelt up to get gold nuggets place your crafting table on one side of this chest and then dig yourself out another hole that is too wide like that and then on this side dig out those two pieces you’re going to put another chest on the Bottom and you’re going to be pointing a hopper into that and we’re going to set up exactly the same as we did for that first farm we’re going to place the hopper there we’re going to put a hopper into the top of it we’re going to take Out two blocks above this there and there we’re going to place a chest there we’re going to place a hopper gun into the side of that there and we’re going to open up the top of that and we’re going to place a chest right there that is going to smelt us up Beautifully all of those golden items we then need to fix up our roof right there so nothing can get out and dig ourselves just one more level for a bit of easy access i’m then going to place down one of my lanterns on the side here on the Crafting table and then we’re going to dig straight up on this piece here now be careful lava flows quite quickly but you should be okay and you can use ladders don’t need one on the bottom one to climb yourself all the way up to the top You should find you are one ladder short from the top that’s fine place a trapdoor open it up and that will allow you access back to the surface you are then going to come around here and you’re going to place a trapdoor there there and there and also there There and i missed but i’m going to take that one back and i’m going to put it over that remaining hole you then want to grab your walls and build a little corner out across those areas come all the way down and around your trap door here And join up the dots on the side you’re gonna put one on that corner one on that corner one on that corner and one on this corner and then using the netherrack you’ve dug out as temporary blocks you’re going to place one on that corner and you’re going to do exactly The same over here place two more on the ends of those and then grab yourself your remaining slabs and we’re going to build ourselves a roof over the entirety of this building come back down into your farm and in this chest on the side place all of your coal that’s going to Go in there i’ve already dropped some netherrack into that so that is smelting that up nicely for me already and i’ll end up with some nether bricks in this there this is my keel chamber this is where i’m going to get all of my lovely Xp but the real magic happens at the top so let’s get back up there place a lantern on either side just to give yourself a bit of light inside here and remember to open up these trapdoors that is absolutely critical you’ll see around me i’ve got a number of zombified Piggling just wandering around minding their own business i’m going to grab my bow and i’m going to shoot one and they’re not gonna like it very much so make sure you’ve opened up your trapdoors and shoot anyone it doesn’t matter which one bang they hate it they’re all coming for you now everyone That was within the earshot of that first zombified piglet is coming because they want to protect their mate however they can’t get to you the only place they can pathfind is through that little hole there they think these trap doors are open they are wrong they fall down Into the trap and at the bottom they sit there waiting for you to have a go at them look even more are coming because every time one of them takes damage the rest of them hear it again then we can just go down and start bashing them once You get the bottom you’ll see the one that you shot died because the drop is a one-hit drop and the arrow would have taken his hit points down however if we just start bashing them down they’re going to make some horrible horrible horrible noise i’m just going to keep Smacking them and smacking them and smacking them smacking them and as a result we’re gonna end up with plenty of xp you can see there we got eight levels of xp plus in our chest here we’re already starting to collect gold nuggets and also rotten flesh eventually we’ll Get things like golden swords as well which we can put through our smelting system here and obviously like our early stage xp farm this will also give you xp from the swords that you smell it’s all extra now when’s no more piggling come just come up to the top and take a pop Shot and another one do watch out for ghast because they can just see you you get quite a lot of protection from your area here he’s right above us at the moment but it’s not perfect so do be cautious that is a really easy quick gold farm not like the massive Ones on the nether roof but you get gold out of it and you also get plenty of experience let’s go on to the more advanced one this one is definitely late game and it is late game because you need to have beaten the ender dragon Let’s jump in shall we why do i always get a lousy spawn well that wasn’t too difficult now was it and once that big lizard mama is dead go to north south east or western points of the central island once you’re there find yourself a decent edge that goes all the way down Into the void that’s got just a little j outfit like that and then come one two blocks away from that little jetty outfit and pop down a lava that lava will flow just over the edge like that it won’t spread left or right it will go Straight down allow that to flow all the way down once it’s reached the bottom on the bit that’s jutting out here place your water bucket that will go down and that will turn all of that lava into cobblestone try not to fall in like i just did but that’s how you’re gonna get Down to the bottom anyway be careful with this water because that water will go all over the place once the water’s reached the bottom collect up the lava do not collect up the water because that water is your way down and then with some blocks of your choice in hand go Down the water until you get to the bottom make sure every now and again you take a breath because once you get to the bottom you are going to need to place some blocks right at the bottom level or as close to the bottom level as You possibly can and this is going to be the platform from which you are going to build a very very long line of leaves keep that water there because for the time being that’s a really good way of getting back up to the end island you Are now going to go in a straight line away from that end island for three whole stacks of leaves and once you’re at the end of that long line of 192 blocks of leaves you need to make yourself just a little platform i recommend at least seven by seven but Probably bigger is better this also needs to be made out of leaves you can use other non-spawnable blocks but i find leaves are dead easy to collect i’ve gone for nine by nine find the middle point of your platform and come towards your island two blocks that is one two and place a Double chest down like that you can then also take out those two leaf blocks and place down another double chest exactly like that take out that leaf block there grab yourself a hopper and shift click a hopper you can just sneak it in from that top chest into the bottom and then You’re going to place one two three one two three and then also one two three so you’ve got a platform of three by three nine hoppers then place nine pieces of carpet on those hoppers just by placing shift click like that come around to the side and place two temporary blocks i’m using Leaves because it just happens to be a material but any temporary block you like and then on top of that place a glass block and you are going to ring all the way around the outside of your three by three square so this is now Going to become a five by five square of glass and you are then going to take this up another 40 levels including this one that makes 41 levels of glass once you’ve done that make a two wide platform around the entirety of the outside again with non-spawnable block i Like leaves and then make a three wide bridge in all four directions 16 blocks long then place trap doors along the outside of your drop you want three on the opposite sides and then the other sides are going to have one each leave them closed for now place a temporary Block between them using shift click and then on top of that click up one two and then with a solid block use another one on top of that place a rail and then we’re going to build ourselves just a little structure around this that is basically a trench that is three wide And one long or one long and three wide depending on your perspective place a minecart on that rail and then this bit gets a little bit tricky get yourself an ender pearl and plenty of food you also need to have a name tag in your inventory ready we’re going to try and Get ourselves an endermite and you’ve got to be really quite patient because the chances of getting endemic are relatively low remember to keep your eye on your hearts you’re going to lose health every time you throw an ender pearl and if i had money for every time i’ve died throwing ender pearls i Wouldn’t need money anymore you are going to throw an ender pearl into the end section of this trough it may not come the first time it may not come the second time in fact it may take you more than an entire stack of vendor piles keep an eye on those hearts Seriously they are going down really really fast let’s try again no still not there i’m going to keep going until i get one okay with much maneuvering we have managed to get that minecart with the little endermite inside it that is name tagged on top of that single block i can Then mine out that block and that block and probably best have a little bit more food whilst i’m thinking about it i’m going to take out that block as well i’m going to flat down those flaps and then i’m going to come to the ends of my arms here and i want To make myself a platform now this platform is going to come out one two three and four and it’s going to come out beyond the edge of this leaf another two blocks so one two in both directions and that gives us a decent sized spawning platform for our Endermen we’re going to do one of those at the end of each arm but then what we’re going to do is we’re going to surround them with two rows of leaves now i’m not entirely certain of why this works but it’s something to do with the way mobs spawn in groups and this Increases the chances of them spawning in a decent sized group so you get a much better spawn rate if you surround it with leaves by too wide so i’m just going to do that on all four platforms as well now you’ll notice as i finish this last Platform we’ve already got a number of endermen hollering themselves into that hole for our pleasure that’s brilliant news but what we’ve got to now do is get back down and get back down isn’t too bad what we need to do is bash out that corner block there that is directly Above those leaves pop in some water that will go down and then we can go down into that water column and find ourselves at the bottom very very easily if you feel a little bit nervous just go a little bit off to the side but it is all good we can then They are really noisy aren’t they we can then start killing these endermen to our hearts content okay i have now got zero xp this is really loud i’m just going to get rid of those two temporary blocks that i didn’t get rid of earlier and we’re going to start bashing these Endermen and see what we don’t end up with so we’ve literally only just got ourselves going on this farm so i’ll be careful of end of the may just slip through the net there but if you don’t look at them in the face it’s absolutely fine move ourselves around they keep on Coming you see that keeps replenishing because we’re just the right distance down here for them to keep on coming through we also get a number of drops as well 16 levels in what 30 seconds not even and they keep on coming plenty plenty keep on coming and we are getting Lots and lots of ender pearls at the same time this farm is one of the best xp farms known to minecraft i massively recommend it it’s not that hard to make the worst bit is getting the endermite into that minecart but you know once you’ve done that it is dead then easy Lots of leaves but that’s only a few iron ingots because then you can snip them off dead easy off the trees very very quick and enderman just fly into the system so we’ve got another charge here i’m just going to bash them about a little bit more they are so loud make Sure you wear earplugs when you’re doing this because it’s probably not good for your hearing bang we’ve got loads done down we go and i’m already at what 22 20 very nearly 23 xp already over 23 xp and i’ve been it’s still going it’s still going So there are three of the many possible xp farms that you can have in your In today’s Video, I am showing you how to make an XP Farm in Minecraft Survival… well actually its THREE Minecraft XP Farm Designs that are specifically chosen for you to play in your Early Game, your Mid Game and your Late Game in Minecraft!
3 Really Easy Minecraft Xp Farm Designs for different Game Stages!

These Farms are REALLY simple to build and actually use very few resources (Even the late game one really) and will give you the perfect amount of XP for the level in the game!
I have made this specifically in Minecraft Java Edition, because Minecraft Bedrock Works Differently. Unfortunately, the Enderman Farm will NOT work in Bedrock Edition! (The other two will though!)
