What a lot of people will do while they are strip mining is they will make sure that no block is left unturned so they’ll create one strip mine and then they’ll go and they’ll go okay well I can see all of these blocks and I can

See all of these blocks if I start another mine shaft right here and then we will go down and that way we are looking at every single block and yes this is the most thorough way to mine you will make sure to get every single Diamond possible but I’m talking about

Efficiency and specifically time efficiency here here is what is happening is that a lot of these blobs of diamonds or whatever I actually saw some real diamonds over here are more than just one block thick right this blob right here is two blocks thick uh

Because yeah as you can see it takes two two blocks so if you are mining this way and you have already found diamonds on this mine shaft you’re double checking your same area over here so yes you’re thorough you’re making sure you get every single Diamond possible but if you

Want to make sure that you don’t ever ever accidentally overlap where you’ve already look make sure that you space out your mine shafts further apart because then you’ll be looking in an area you’ve never looked at over here yeah sure some diamonds might be in between your two mine shafts but you’ll

Be making sure to cover new ground every single time that you go mining and hopefully you’ll be able to find more diamonds that way and actually uh there’s been a few redditors who have have done the math and this is the fastest way to find diamonds if you are

Strip mining is to make sure that the gaps between your mine shafts are way larger about six blocks so one two three four five six oh my gosh I made this perfect uh about six blocks in between that way you’re not looking where you’ve already mined I know that you’re like oh
