Hey what’s up guys ay stream here with 50 things that you didn’t know about the brand new 1.16 nether update for Minecraft including a ton of new blocks mobs biomes tips tricks secrets and Easter eggs if you want to be a pro at the new nether then this is the video For you and I highly recommend you watch to the very end of this video because if you don’t your friends are going to know and they’re going to call you a noob and trust me you guys don’t want that plus as we go along these editions just get More insane and you don’t want to miss out but before we get started I need to know how many of you guys were looking forward to this update and do you like it do you like the new nether if you do like this nether update let me know by Leaving a like on today’s video guys right now we’re you can show Off just a little bit because you’ll be the Minecraft pro but that’s it without further Ado let’s get in to today’s video and watch me break down oh yeah yeah they added emotes into Minecraft guys there’s a new feature for you already but actually first up is our respawn Anchors now these give players a way to set their spawn point in the Nether and it is fueled by glowstone so how do we craft one of these whack looking things well you’re going to need a crying obsidian and a glowstone you want to jump over your crafting table am I going To whack cry obsidian across the top across the bottom and then you want to sandwich in between that lovely old glowstone and that’ll give you the respawn anchor but when you place one of these down they’re going to look um very dark as you guys can see this thing is Very black and will actually do nothing at the moment you need to charge it using glowstone so when you whack this thing with Glowstone you’ll go I don’t know this thing looks so awesome guys and it even has like little particles that come out the top I love This block it looks so cool but what’s even cooler guys is as you can see there’s currently like one little uh piece of glowstone in there I don’t know that means the charge is on one you can actually hit it again with Glowstone and that’ll put the charge onto two as you Guys can see the light emitted from the Block will grow and you can go three and four until eventually holy moly it’s lit up so much of this area what does that mean well essentially guys for every glowstone block you put in here means one respawn now that you’ve said this Respawn anchor if I go ahead and die like for whatever reason I can just run off the side of the cliff God oh and hopefully guys respawn I’m back and check that out I respawn right where the anchor has been set however you will notice that it has gone down one level So be careful guys not to die too many times that this thing runs out of charge and well you know you end up going back to the OverWatch you can easily recharge it by using glowstone however one tip that I learned the hard way is that do Not do this in the Overworld because if you do just like sleeping in the nether it will explode do not do this in the Overworld alright guys let’s move on to feature two loader Stone now a load stone is used to point an attached Compass to it so how do do you do this well essentially guys as you can see here is our normal Compass but our attached Compass is pointing straight at our lodestone block so if we grab our Compass out of the item frame here and you go ahead and click on the lodestone Now when I walk away from this block you guys can see my compass is actually pointing towards it if I turn around boom my compass will always point at this block so it’s really useful if you guys put one of these at your house and that way you always know what direction Your house is at up next our ancient debris and when you mine it up the beautiful brand new netherride scraps now this all will spawn in veins of one to three with up to two veins per chunk so it’s really really rare but when you do find it it’s also blast resistant so TNT won’t blow it up and of course it can be smelted into your beautiful netherride scraps if we Chuck it in the blast furnace here you Chuck it in here oh the netherride scrap the material used to make the beautiful nether ride ingots speaking of those guys number Four how to netherrite Ingot so now other right ingots I used in a variety of crafting recipes for new armor and tools and crafting one requires four gold ingots and four netherride scraps in the following a crafting recipe and that’ll give you one of these a beautiful new ingots alright so what can We use it for nether right armor obviously made by combining another right Ingot with Diamond Armor it’s a blast and Fire Resistance so you’re not going to need any additional enchantments on this thing like seriously look at this as well it just looks like seriously boss mode for now What are the stats here for you Minecraft pros out there durability 407 defense points three with the chest plate you’re getting 592 durability eight defense points the leggings have durability 555 with six defense points and your boots are looking at three defense points with 481 durability so they’re stronger they’re better they’re Fire and blast resistant guys why would you not choose this if if you know you can get enough another ride ingots and what else can you use netherrite ingots for netherrite tools and these are also created by combining an Ingot with diamond tools and they are impervious to Lava these things will float on the lava server so if you die don’t worry you’re not going to lose these bad boys or if you accidentally throw them in so you got your netherride hoe obviously the most important tool of all time guys don’t do that guys please you’ll break My heart but anyway guys if you do the durability is 2031 with two damage on Bedrock our shovel also has a durability of a 2031 our ax same durability again and does more damage on Java I don’t know why that is but it does and the ax is also slightly faster than your Diamond ax for your pickaxe guys you’ve got a little bit more durability 2032 and then with the sword 2032 once again but for some reason the sword in Bedrock does one extra damage Point than Java interesting so if you’re on Java using ax if you’re on Bedrock use a sword but There’s also been a ton of new biomeditions in this update now our first up is the Crimson Forest and it’s filled with hostile mobs and it’s Homer to the only mob that is usable as a food source and that of course is the piglet So have a look at this guys this is the brand new Crimson Forest oh my goodness we’ve of course got the new weeping Vines all these brand new blocks fun guy the whole thing just looks absolutely cool and you have this real like it’s like the nether but on steroids guys It’s super intensely red and you have these like red particles floating everywhere I really love this biomen all right let’s head back here guys next up with our biomes we have the Warped forest and essentially this is the peaceful only peaceful biome in the nether but you’re going to have Increased Enderman and Strider spawn Reds now of course if you don’t look at Enderman it’s not going to kill you and Striders won’t kill you either so this is technically a very it’s really just a peaceful nether over here and it’s like the Crimson Forest but blue that’s Literally it guys I like to call it the raspberry uh the blue raspberry variant because of course the Crimson Forest is the raspberry uh biome and this here is the blue raspberry or maybe even the blueberry biome I’m just I don’t know I it kind of reminds me of cotton candy I Love it and you have basically everything but blue everything in the Crimson Forest but blue it looks pretty awesome all right but that’s not all guys we have the basalt Deltas now this is a volcanic biome where you’ll find magma cubes Striders and it is the home To gas you’ll find an absolute ton of gasps here and this is probably in my opinion the most terrifying of all the biomes firstly because it just looks terrifying I mean look at this thing guys first like look look at it there’s lava there are these crazy Basalt spikes Coming out of the ground and then there’s this huge like mist of like I don’t know Ash dust uh just all of it oh it makes my uh my inspired shiver guys because it tickles oh Dad I do love the look of this block so I might have to Travel here if I’m gonna get them to use it for builds and we also have another biome the Soul Sand Valley and this is a valley of Bones filled with skeletons lost and Enderman beware this place is another very scary and dangerous biome as you can see this is essentially you Know take Soul Sand put it on steroids and you get this biome it is just coated in well technically not Soul Sand it’s this brand new solar soil block however you’ll still walk quite slowly in it and as you can see it’s very desolate very Scary but also there is a higher rate of basically every hostile mob spawning in this biome so yeah don’t come here if you aren’t well equipped that’s all I can recommend to you all right let’s jump back to our showcase here guys what else we got going on next meet our two Brand new giant pig mobs we have the hoglin which is terrifying this guy is hostile he’s got like I don’t know he’s got like a mohawk on his back and huge tusks and then we have the zoglin like so which is basically a zombie pigment in actual Pig form so what are these Mobs essentially hoglands are the only source of food in the Nether and they’re going to give you pork chop they’re super strong and they have 40 HP which is just insane and they can be breeded using Crimson fungus which you find in the Crimson Forest zoglins on the other Hand are created if you take one of these bad boys into the Overworld they’ll turn into a zogland here and they are neutral they’re not going to attack you whereas these guys they will definitely most likely attack you for your meat up next are our humanoid Versions of our hog mobs of course we have the brand new or technically not new zombified piglet which is essentially an updated and more Superior version of the old-fashioned zombie pigman that we all used to love and know now as you can see we’ve got a brand new Texture here he’s got like one ear off the side at 3D knows he’s got like a belt thing going on and while I will always miss the old zombie pigman texture you have to admit this one does look pretty dope then on the right here guys we have the just the regular piglet I believe yes these are just regular pigments these are the zombified piglands now these are the boys over here can be found in bastions and Crimson forests they are hostile to any player without a piece of gold Omron and they have a system of bartering so what Does that mean well essentially you guys can see this guy’s trying to attack me here now that I’m in survival but if I Chuck this golden helmet on me like so as you can see he’s no longer trying to attack me as long as you’re wearing some Form of golden armor these guys will not attack you not to mention they also really love gold if you go ahead and come up to one and give one a gold ingot he will look at it like so he’ll be like hmm nice very nice gold ingot he will Inspect its specimen and depending on how much he likes that gold England uh Ingot will give you stuff back clearly he did not like that England because he gave me a flipping gravel back okay we’re gonna try our luck once again guys sometimes obviously they’ll give you Trash items like gravel which I got really unlucky there guys but other times they’ll give you rarer resources such as diamonds or even quartz and other things now we see here we’ve got another bricks those aren’t too bad I’ll definitely take those now the main job Of pig lens is to protect the brand new Bastion remnants now piglens will guard these and they have a ton of Chess and loot but opening those chests will cause the piglens to attack you so approach with caution and there are also four types of bastions you can find these are Two of them here we have the bridge Bastion check this bad boy out guys does that not look awesome that thing looks terrifying I love it so much like that giant skull face over here as the entrance yo and the basalt as the teeth I just think this thing is terrifying And looks awesome not to mention as you can see serious loot here look at all of that gold it’s insane and then of course guys we also have the treasure Bastion now these are a little bit more dangerous but they have a lot more loot You guys can already see we can see a chest right over here and you get all types of things in here including crossbow gold chains gilded Blackstone so much beautiful good stuff and if we come down to you look more gold blocks like the amount of gold you can find in These things is insane but as you can see very dangerous look at the size of one of these things guys they go down deep into the ground we’ve got plenty plenty of these piglets here and you can see we’ve got a pigland spot is that a piglet spot no that’s a Magma Cube Spawner holy moly this place is dangerous guys make sure you are well equipped before coming here but also worth it look at the gold look at the loot it is worth it even diamond armor even another right Ingot these are incredibly rare guys and so it’ll be worth exploring these bastions however Guys very dangerous as you can see I met please guys make sure you’ve got some serious armor and tools before heading into one of these much more scary than your regular old Nether fortresses all right moving on we have these Striders now these are a brand new lava dwelling Mob and when they’re out of lava they’re going to shiver and turn a purple as you guys can see here so here’s our regular straighter he’s red and as you can see uh yep he’s still frowning and he will now frown and be purple if you let him Out of lava like so now these can actually be ridden using a saddle and warped fungi on a stick so you can just Chuck a saddle onto the back of one of these and use one of these beautiful warped fungi as you can see they’ll look At me when I’m holding it and just like riding a pig guys you’ll be able to ride these across lava really good way to travel across lava in the nether very quickly addition 15 is soul speed now this is a new enchantment that can be applied to Boots and essentially it Increases the speed when walking on Soul Sand and soul soil it’s going to be very useful if you guys are going to explore the brand new Soul Sand Valley biome so if we go ahead and grab this here guys we Chuck on these netherride birds without as you can see we’ve got soul Sped three on these and now when we walk across the Soul Sand here look at this back whoa just get to go Zoom across these things guys so if we take them off here’s the regular speed so you can see I’m working on the soul soil and I’m Slowed down but when I Chuck on these boots heck a gnome look at how fast I can go guys in fact it’s faster than regular sprinting as you guys can see this is me sprinting on a normal block and now when I go on to our soul soil Whoa I go heck and zoom so what you can do is actually take the soul soil up to the surface and use this as your path block and it’ll allow you to run even faster number 16 the brand new Target block decoratively looks great as an archery range and things like that but It’s also great for you map makers out there as when you hit it with a projectile it’s going to Output a redstone signal so if we grab our boat here guys you can see I can hit this Target and I’ve got a dispenser hooked up behind it so it’ll output a redstone Signal and boom check that out guys it’ll shoot out that beautiful firework so watch again guys Wham bag Hit the Target and boom we’ve got a redstone signal at the back which is shooting out a firework so guys I highly recommend you try this for yourself you can hook This up to maybe as a light system maybe guys for you to turn on the lights in your house you have to hit the bullseye first I don’t know it’s up to you guys to experiment and play around with this but I think that the firework is a nice Way of doing it speaking of nice things for your house what about nice music this is a brand new music disc called Pig step and essentially it is a DubStep but in Minecraft have a listen to this oh yeah oh yeah should I freestyle rap to this guys I Don’t know do I want to embarrass myself you know what that’s my job I’m a YouTuber guys let’s ready we got the got the pigstep going oh yeah we’ve got the new nether update here it’s very cool oh God this is so bad all right we can do this There are piglets and Hogs and lots of scary things yeah another update 1.16 very cool you wanna check it out and learn the coolest things make sure to subscribe to ey stream for water on the nether update not rapping because he’s clearly very bad at it we need to stop This pain I’m so sorry for all of your ass guys there’s also a faster way to get gold in the nether through the brand new nether gold ore and this is going to drop two to six nuggets of gold when mined number 19 we also have a brand new Structure here ruins of portals and these can be found in the Overworld and in the Nether and they’re accompanied by a Lucha so if we jump onto you guys this will take us to one of the nether room portals have a look at these things they’re really unique in design there’s Really quite nothing like them I mean look at it it looks so out of this world and spooky I just love these designs and it’s where you’re going to be able to get that crying obsidian to make respawn anchors now if we jump back here guys we Can also check out another one here and boom have a look at this they come in all types of different variations I think there’s over something like 20 different designs you can find either in the Nether and on the Overworld like so look at that thing looks really cool and You’re gonna get that crying obsidian and of course a beautiful loot chest now the Luchia isn’t fantastic but it’s not bad either and of course you can go ahead and complete this portal to make another portal to the over world and now we move on into the brand new blocks and in this It is a builder’s dream and I’m a builder speaking of which if you want to see a bunch of cool uses for these new blocks and things you didn’t know you could build using these new nether blocks then I highly recommend you hit that subscribe button because next week I’m uploading a video with a ton of secret ways you can use these blocks to make some really awesome builds to show off to your friends but I’m getting off track guys our first family is the Blackstone essentially this can be used as a substitute for cobblestone in stone Tool crafting recipes and you can make it into all those same blocks you’ve got your polish Blackstone stairs just regular Blackstone stairs and polish Blackstone brick stairs you’ve got the bricks you got cracked bricks you just got your regular Blackstone polished Blackstone chiseled polished Blackstone you have brand new pressure plates a Button you have the Blackstone brick walls polished walls and of course just your classic walls there as well as your slab variants with more new blocks we also have the Gilded Blackstone now these are naturally generated in the Bastion rabbit uh remnants and they will drop two to five gold nuggets or you’ll Actually be able to get the block itself if you want the block stuff you can use a silk touch pickaxe and that’ll give you that 100 of the time we also have a brand new snout Banner pattern of course for the hoglands here guys and the banner padding can be acquired from a Bastion so if you guys check this out we can grab this we’ll grab this brand new Banner pattern like so and now that we’ve got this we can Chuck those in the snout and boom have a look at that you can get yourself a beautiful hoglin batter all right moving on more new Blocks to you guys we have the Warped Plank and wood variants and all of these are completely impervious to fire these act the exact same way as normal wood uh you can get you know your signs your fence gates your fences trap doors doors uh pressure plates buttons stairs planks Woods slabs everything here except it’s fireproof and it’s blue the brand new Crimson planks and wood variants and basically these are exactly the same as our warped wood except these are Crimson as the name suggests moving on number 25 is our shroom light and these can be Found living in big fungi and they output a level of 15 light I’m just really glad we have a new light Block it’s essentially like a sea lantern or a glowstone block but we’ve got another one and that’s fantastic now another new block which we’ve already had a look at Earlier in the basalt Delta is obviously battled and you can use this to just have regular Basalt and also Basalt pillars and there’s a special place you can find for soul pillars which we’ll look at later in today’s video then we have another block that’s right guys we Have the organic warped blocks and this is basically how you’re able to get a warped fungi and wood however these are also completely all immune to fire so we have the Warped Roots near the Sprouts we have the stripped warp stem warp stem stripped warped hyphae which is Essentially just warped wood uh what would lugs and we have warped High fate which is essentially warped logs and then warped nylium as well which is essentially just warped dirt I don’t know why they went with such confusing uh names for this update but look we’re They’re the names now guys so we’re just gonna have to love that we also have the organic Crimson blocks which you find in the Crimson biome the Crimson nylon the Crimson Hi-Fi stripped Crimson High Fae Crimson stems these stripped Crimson stems and we also have the Crimson fungus and Crimson Roots like so Essentially red versions of all of our warped blocks over there but here are where things get really interesting we have the twisting of vines which grow from the ground up and you’re actually able to climb them without having another block behind so you guys can see there’s no blocks surrounding it but They work like scaffolding as you can see check that out you can actually climb up one of these and climb down them and I think that will allow you to make some really unique nether build designs without ladders or scaffolding then we also have a red variant of this Which are the Weeping Vines however instead of growing from the ground these will grow from the roof and they’ll grow down like this but you can also still climb straight up them as well personally guys if I had to pick I kind of like these ones a little bit better Than the twisting Vines but both of them are really really dope then we have the Warped fungus and the warp fungi are used to replace tell zoglin so if you hold one of these azoglin will not come near you or attack you but you can also Use them to make the fungi on a stick which you can use to ride the striders next up we have the huge Crimson fungi and these are found naturally spawning in the Crimson forest biomes or can be manually grown if you grab some bone meal and Chuck that on Crimson fungus And as you can see they look just like this and they have the Weeping Vine spawning from them and you can also find those shroom lights in there as well next up we have the Blue version of this which is the huge warped fungi and these are found in your warped forest biomes Obviously or you can manually spawn them by grabbing a bone Mill and just you know chucking those on our warped fungus like so again very similar to these over here but you’re not going to get those Vines but they still do have those shroom lights 34. we’re making a three here guys we Have chains and these are five these if I’m gonna be low-key honest with you guys there is so much stuff in this update but chains are probably my favorite I know I know guys there’s so much stuff but I’m a builder at heart and I’ve been asking for chains for so Many updates and now they’re here and basically anything you used to build with iron bars you can now build with chains they look awesome they’re super dope and what’s special about them guys is they don’t connect to blocks on the side so normally if you have a look here Guys if I used iron bars the really annoying thing when building was it would connect to each other but now you can have chains next to each other and they’re not going to connect and I think that is just fantastic all right more things here guys we’ve got brand new Block Soul soil which we’ve had a look at recently but we didn’t mention that it can actually be used to light Soul fires if you use a flint and steel so if we grab a flintum still here guys and we just whack this on top of our soul soil Kablam you’re going to get that blue fire and also it works with you know the soul speed enchantment we checked out earlier 36 is our crying obsidian which is used to make our respawn anchors and are in those ruined portals these are blast resistance and as said can be used In the uh respawn anchor and they kind of look very cool now a little bit of a Minecraft Trek for all of you these crying obsidian blocks actually used to be in the game for a very short period of time all the way back when Minecraft first came out however Notch removed Them so it’s really cool to see that they’ve been added back however their texture has been changed now Soul fire obviously this is going to spawn naturally in the Soul Sand valleys where you’ve got that soil soil and you can just light them up using uh as we did Over here using our flint and steel however they will do twice as much damage as normal fire so I wouldn’t try and light these around your house unless you’re certain that you’re not going to accidentally walk into them going along with our soul theme we also have the Brand new Soul lanterns and soul torches and these will have a level 10 light and as you can see looking very very cool you’re actually able to get these blue torches in education Edition beforehand but now you can get them in the normal version of Minecraft and these look Really cool probably because they’re blue and so they’re matching the ey stream colors guys I just love that we’ve got a bunch of brand new blue blocks because after all blue is my favorite color and more stuff you can do with the uh soulfire is the soul campfire and these will deal double Damage have a light level of 10 and will repel nearby piglens that are not hostile so if you Chuck one of these down if a piglet is walking by he won’t come anywhere near this and you won’t have Piglet and spawn around it either so it’s a good way to keep piglands out Of your base if you so wish then we also have the block of nether right now as you guys expect these things are expensive but if you have a lot of netherride to spare and you just want to flex on all your friends make one of these bad boys they’re blast resistant So they’re not going to be blown up by TNT and they can be used to light a beacon another new block our quartz bricks to add to our family of quartz blocks and I actually kind of like the design I don’t I don’t know I’m a little Bit on the fence I I want to say I like it but it just looks a bit odded to me I remember this block actually being in a mod that I used to use all the way back in the day so I don’t know just it looks A bit strange to me all right let’s keep moving on to you guys we got still a ton more blocks to check out we have the new nether brick variant and these are to go along with our classic Nether Bricks we have the chiseled Nether Bricks and it’s Got this cool wither face on it I love this block and then the cracked another bricks as well I love this as well I loved both of these guys and I can see these being used in so many awesome builds all right 43 the smithing table can now actually be used it actually Works previously it didn’t and what does it allow you to do well it allows you to combine Diamond items with netherright ingots this is essentially how you make all of the netherite armor how you make all the netherride tools you Chuck in your Diamond Tool here you add in your Netherrite Ingot and boom you get the Lovely brand new netherride items which I’m just going to Chuck this chest plate on because it makes me look like an absolute boss all right 44 guys the warbed fungus on a stick which we’ve already talked about here this will Allow you to lead straight As across the lava so you can ride them and you’re able to right click them into to increase its speed so let’s go ahead and grab these guys I want to actually show you how this works out so we’ll jump down here to our lava and we’ll Chuck This into our lava bam oh my good what are the chairs we’re gonna babies try to ride on us that is so rag I can’t believe we got that okay we got a baby strike can I get an adult there we go finally I got a normal sized trailer Let’s grab a saddle here you can Chuck this saddle on top of your Strider like so you can go ahead jump on top and boom I’m now riding the Strider and using the warp fungus on the stick I can go ahead and Lead The Strider wherever I want it To go look at this look at him guys he does like this little bump dance underneath me it’s so cute and adorable and a much safer way to travel across lava number 45 another new block yes there are a lot of new blocks to this update guys is our warped warp block and Essentially this is just a blue version of our nether wall blocks and you’ll find those in the Warped forests we also have a bunch of new splash screen so these are texts that appear on the title screen of Minecraft you can see here vanilla making chain traces of citrus Honey I grew the bees is bushy eyebrows from free range developers and my personal favorite oh man you guys know already what that is creeper oh man if you know what that is guys let me know by leaving oh man in the comments down below right now I’m Looking out for you guys I might even give some of you a heart we also have a bunch of other ones here guys you can see edit is a name everybody to the leaf this parrot is no more it has to be says try Minecraft dungeon soglin finish your Claw and end my pickaxe so nothing too interesting here only oh man this is my favorite I’m so glad this is in the title screen number 47 is new achievements that have been added to Minecraft Bedrock Edition and this includes hot tourist destination which if you get if you visit all the nether Biomes Bullseye if you hit a bullseye of a Target block cover me in debris which is where a full set of netherright armor and ooh shiny which is when you distract a piglet using gold you can also do certain achievements to unlock the brand new emotes if you’re on better condition So if I come here to emotes you can actually see there’s a few emotes here which you can use uh get through unlocking achievements so one of them I believe is here the diamonds to you emote as you can see here is unlocked by completing the uh the diamonds to you Achievement and then we also have the hammer which is unlocked by completing the acquire Hardware achievement and finally the pickaxe which is unlocked by completing the Adventure Time uh achievement and you’ll be able to actually unlock those emotes unfortunately the rest of them you have To get with mine coins which is a little bit disappointing if you ask me all right we’re getting to the end to you guys 48 are a Basalt pillars and these will occur naturally in a Soul Sand Valley so if we jump over here you guys can see these are our Basalt pillars They’re these giant well pillars or Columns of Basalt that go up in to the ceiling here and you’ll usually find them in your soul sand valleys or in these like gravel biomes I don’t really know how to describe these gravel biomes I don’t know I don’t really like them I’m gonna be honest I prefer the Soul Sand valleys because I just hate gravel gravel is my enemy it’s so annoying when you’re building it just Falls and falls and falls awesome ah guys gravel’s annoying I’m excited all right 49 are our nether fossils and these are Different to the Overworld ones and as we saw earlier they are going to spawn in our soul sand valleys and they spawn in huge amounts and they’re really great because previously you needed a lot of Bones to be able to get these uh to get bone blocks which was a shame because They’re such good building blocks but now you can get them quickly and easily in your soul sand valleys here in the Nether and finally guys we’re getting to the end our 50th feature is actually just something very nice guys a nice change to our old-fashioned nether no Longer is it just called the nether it is now renamed to the nether wastes it’s a new name for the biome that we all know and love and it has the highest Fortress spawn rate in the game now so of course obviously guys
