Hey what’s up welcome back in this one we’re gonna be talking about how to improve any village you come across in just seven steps so without wasting time let’s just get to it step one sort of an obvious one but locate a village now though i just said This works for any village i will say part of step one here try to find a solid village like let’s compare these two villages here one’s empty one’s a little bit more populated i find it’s more fun to create these projects when the villages are a little bit larger A little bit more dense and have a variety of the different village buildings that are responsible so look out for that but now step two straight into building and it’s infrastructure some may call it the boring part i call it the most fun because this is where the magic really happens you’ll be Seeing on screen as i transform this village in the background we focus on lining up the roads and getting that infrastructure set which means once again lining up those roads in a three wide path as that’s what the village spawns with but you can do it wider if you want sort Of connecting the pass in a way that suits the village that you stumbled across which is the awesome part about this project every village is unique but for this example i used the fountain as the center point for the entire village i also wanted to have a main street main road See originally this video was going to be uh done before thanksgiving and i was gonna call it a pilgrim town so i was using these images as references for this kind of all wooden pilgrim town and that’s why you’ll see it’s all oakwood which i still think Looks pretty cool i mean look at this main street but tangent aside that’s where that main street kind of idea came from and then i had the other paths that extended off the village connected up all while also keeping in mind where i wanted to and we’ll talk about this more the next Step add in buildings and create zones so line up those paths connect them up sync them and it just gives us some framework to work with in our village project but with that said it’s on to step three which is adding in more buildings as i mentioned a more dense village is more Fun it not only looks better but it’s more fun to walk around and live in and you can get more villagers grow the population it’s all something to do and density is the perfect word to describe it let’s look at a before and after just so you can see where i Placed in buildings to tighten it up but what you’ll really see in the time lapse is me kind of creating these zones and then for just a pace of play purposes i use world edit but normally you would build back the building in survival but adding in more Of the same buildings that we can transform them in the next step and i will mention real quick a good reference is the survival vlog series my village city that i got going on there a little bit different project as we’re going in the city forum and i’m doing unique Custom buildings but the density and the close proximity of the buildings is what makes it real awesome so basically all in all just do it do it but as i just mentioned it step number four is transforming those buildings pick a style pick a theme and transform it in that way Just like i got the all wood theme going in this one right here look even the fence building behind me and you’re seeing it throughout the time lapses but yes the pilgrim settlement style but also uh oakwood that’s a style but fantasy medieval modern whatever you want to go for take Those villager buildings and transform them and now i will add step three and step four are uh interchangeable reversible depends on how you want to do it like for example once again in my survival vlogs world i transform this small medium-sized building right here right and after doing so i have all the Resources from that building now as the series progresses even further and the village city grows i’m gonna want more small buildings in and so my plan is to rebuild those villager buildings and then transform them once again now part of the reason i do that is for the content I want the time lapse pretty cool so it’s completely understandable if you want to just transform your building design and then use that design all throughout the village and that’s why they’re interchangeable either way works but regardless for whatever buildings spawn in your village you’re going to want to Customize each individual one and then apply that to all the same ones throughout the village and let’s take a quick look at some of my customizations we got the two-story one right here where i went for the details on the edges with the oak wood and then again the entire theme was Oak and also replacing glass with fences but i used a combo of stripped oak regular oak logs and oak planks to give it some dynamic make it look cool and you’ll really see that throughout all the buildings that i did apart from the temple which i actually Left as is for the most part to switch out the glass and also i guess the farm you know is a little bit of a different theme but i still want to show you the transformations of these buildings so we’ll do it real quick with a little Music in the background and again if you’re not a fan of time lapses uh skip forward to this point in the video but i’ll have the timer in the bottom right just to show you how long it is regardless so let’s check them out Do Chunky Oh yes those were my abilities and their place all within the minecraft village and it takes us to step 5 adding a new structure depending on the theme and style of your village that you chose and just the environment around you you might want to add in some you know Additional new details and buildings for me the key really was adding in areas for horses i don’t know i just had that in mind where i wanted these large open spaces with fences customized fences where horses could be edited as well as livestock like the cows and sheep but we Also added in a dock and of course the fence wall going all around the side and with this step i’m going to go ahead and add in light up your entire village make sure it’s nice and safe okay because i would assume you want to keep your villagers safe if you’re doing this Project and you’re most likely using it as a some sort of base which we’ll talk about in a moment but therefore make sure the light levels are eight or higher on the block all throughout that way mobs can’t spawn in and turn it into a zombie village unless Has the theme you’re going for and by all means your thing but step six and step seven are pretty fun they’re all about turning this village into a more vibrant and livable survival type base so let’s start with step six which i would say do regardless which is putting in workstations for Your villagers rows of population which is fun having villagers walk around and you’re already gonna have some of these already in place like that villager over my top right shoulder masons are a common one you got the blacksmith often and of course farmers too as well as the temple spawns the cleric Which cool to lock their profession in place of course you can trade with them just one trade will do it which i recommend but then of course as you grow the population of your village you’re going to want to make sure you have enough work stations and beds to make it actually possible For the village mechanics to work so you need at least one bed per villager but also a workstation if you want them to have a profession which takes us to finally step seven customizing it also as a survival base for yourself now you know this is what i love to do in Minecraft i mean once again the village city is a great example of that having each village or building have a purpose for example our blacksmith was turned into an exp farm the farm was upgraded to a functioning farm skyscraper and then even in other projects like the villager Hotel where we you know each room of the hotel was a survival base capable area and directly similar the village takeover base where we even use just a regular small house to be the center of the iron farm the point is you can use each of these custom different houses for A general purpose and listed on screen now are all your general survival needs that you want in your bait so yes say use this house for your bed your spawning another one as the mining building you can be cool with it keep the temple since it spawns with the brewing stand You can use that as your brewing building and then you’ll even have a buddy hanging out with you the cleric just completes the project and improves the village into a place where it’s bigger than just improving a minecraft village in its look and design but also makes it a complete whole fun Project and with that said that’s all i have in this one if you do this project send me a tweet i’d love to see it but that’s it for this one thanks for coming you Video Information
