These are eight vr mistakes that every beginner makes and stay till the end because i have a terrible mistake that can ruin your entire vr experience the first mistake that i want to talk about is not having carpet on the floor having a small round carpet on the floor can Help you stay in the middle of your play space and prevent you from hitting your walls this simple trick can actually save you tons of money from having a lot of broken controllers the next mistake which is specifically aimed at quest users is disabling guardian guardian may Feel like an annoyance at first but it’s there for a reason disabling it might make you lose sense of where you are in your play space even if you think you know where you are you also have a high chance of hurting yourself or the others Around you you might even take it a step further and just step on your pet which i do not recommend doing at all this mistake may seem a little weird but it’s giving the wrong person a vr headset i know you’ve seen the clips of people running to tvs or hitting walls and Doing other dangerous things because of a vr headset and some people may even go as far as throwing up because you didn’t know beforehand that they can get extremely motion sick so i’d be really careful of who you hand the vr headset to and i also recommend not giving the Vr headset for people age 12 and under because it said that it could actually affect their vision and some of them might not have the neck strength to carry a whole oculus quest to on their head because of that terrible head strap all right this mistake is kind of a Two-in-one deal but if you have a valve index that has like a really long wire i suggest you get a pulley system but you should also watch out for twisting the wire on the headset itself you can’t really replace the y on the headset so i’m here to preserve the life of that For as long as possible so after every playstation make sure you look at your wire and try to untwist it and make sure you do this for every single play session another mistake that people make is playing once getting motion sick and never playing again the whole reason for You getting motion sick is because you aren’t used to vr yet you just have a limited amount of playtime experience and in order to build up a resistance to getting motion second vr you should play as much of vr as possible this includes standing up and just simply walking in Pavlov or you could take it slow you could start by sitting down on a chair and moving the game and slowly get up to it like get on your knees and then move and then get up on your legs and finally try it however this does not mean go Into a vr rollercoaster game because even someone like me who doesn’t get motion sick in a vr rollercoaster game i will get a little you know a little dizzy and fall over but as long as you just continuously play vr and build up like your vr legs then you should be Fine a huge mistake some people do is drain their quest two all the way down to zero percent and then charge it all the way up to 100. this may seem very efficient but that’s exactly what you should not be doing since the questo has a lithium ion battery it works best Between 20 to 80 and if you charge it all the way to 100 it actually speeds up the capacity loss on the battery and iphones actually show you the maximum capacity in like the battery health settings on their phone so just use this tip and try to save your battery for as Long as possible this mistake is tragic and more people make this mistake than you think this mistake is using the wrong material to clean your vr lenses if you use something like a napkin or a tissue paper or anything with a slightly rougher surface it could actually Scratch the lens on your vr headset so the best thing you could do is buy a microfiber cloth for around like nine dollars which isn’t a whole lot considering you’re actually saving your lenses and just use that to clean your lenses from now on and actually result in much cleaner lenses finally the Mistake you’ve all been waiting for this single mistake that beginners will make will destroy their entire vr experience this mistake is letting the lens of your headset face the sun the lens are going to act as a magnifying glass and direct more heat and more light onto the screen Itself leaving a burn-in effect this will completely remove you of all immersion in your games and is very very difficult to fix in order to prevent this you can buy a vr lens cover for relatively cheap and this can actually save so much of a headache you could Just leave your headset anywhere and not worry about the sun you know doing its damage if you enjoyed this video tell me which mistake actually scared you the most Video Information
