Java players can now generate and manage persistent invite links for their Realms servers directly in game, a practical quality of life win ahead of the 26.3 release.
If you run a Realm, Snapshot 8 for Minecraft 26.3 just made your life noticeably easier. Instead of wrestling with the old invite flow, owners can now generate invite codes that friends can redeem directly. Codes can be managed, revoked, or regenerated from the Realms dashboard.

The change targets one of the longest standing minor annoyances for small communities that rely on Realms instead of self hosted servers. Previously inviting new players often required restarting the Realm or manually adding accounts through the Microsoft interface. Persistent codes cut that process down to a single link.
The snapshot is available now through the Minecraft Launcher. Enable snapshots in the installations tab and grab 26.3 Snapshot 8 to test the new invite system yourself. Mojang has not detailed a firm release window for the full 26.3 drop beyond the previously announced Q3 2026 timeframe.
Realm owners can now create and manage Invite Codes, making it easier than ever to join the fun.
If you maintain a public or semi public Realm, the new codes should reduce the administrative load. Expect community servers and content creators to start publishing permanent invite links in their descriptions over the coming days.
