A Loose Ghost – Minecraft Borderlocked Challenge: Everything Goes Wrong

I am trapped inside a cube I’m not talking about Minecraft here that’s uh just an update about my life anyway this is the Border lock challenge starting with only a single block and extending the border every time I get an advancement I’ve managed to extend the border to 751 blocks that all happened

Into a tiny hole on the first try and killed it to get the first advancement with that extra space from the advancement I got a bunch more other advancements got super Lucky in find a mansion which I napped a totem I’m dying from wasted all my gold with failed

Trades and then managed to find another for just out reach of the Border okay that should bring you up to speed wait wait wait so I left behind a to-do list as you can see Farm gold for pill go to Lush cave by Mansion so that’s what I intend to start with

I go for the Lush cave first I take a little journey back to the mansion but I don’t go inside cuz I have everything I need from there right I put on some peaceful music and have a lovely time exploring the cave oh it’s perfect music for exploring a lush cave oh

God okay so maybe the cave is silly and I don’t like it which is fine because I can’t explore it yet anyway as the border is still not far enough for me to get inside but wait a minute because a tiny little friend helps me get just the push I need

With the cutest Predator advancement I can add another 30 blocks to the Border allowing me to get a bit further into the cave so with all this extra room in the cave I can now Venture forth and ah well there’s still this iron here at Least okay that’s fine uh this little sliver of cave gives me a bit more to explore anyway and oh there you go M shaft I’m pretending I didn’t already know about this is great news because well that’s the first death of the video that’s okay I’m sure it’ll be the

Last foreshadowing yep uh I use a crafty little boat maneuver to get back down to the mine and before long I’m back and I have all my stuff and uh something doesn’t you know it’s nothing no I think I’m just tired all right it’s a m shaft so let’s

Do some Mining and it’s a Minecraft so let’s do some Shing like lighten up the M shaft there’s a chest right by the border with a golden apple which might be useful later so why not take it and the M shaft yields results because right around the corner there’s diamonds

And says gold I don’t know if I mean gold or coal what um I’ll be honest I was more excited for the gold like I straight up wandered off and found more gold before I mined the diamonds and I picked up iron first too but once I

Finally pick up the diamond I get the diamonds advancement and the world gets a little bigger and there was a second Diamond too and some lapis I’ll need for enchanting later on there’s actually a lot of gold in the M shaft I won’t show you it all but this is exactly what I

Needed given the to-do list was find gold explore cave but wait the bounties don’t end here I also come across a geod cave which will give me exactly what I need to craft a spy glass and there’s a really easy advancement I can get that’s just look at a parrot through a spy

Glass so I’m sure I’ll get that soon enough I haul the resources back home and cook them up the gold most importantly of course I craft the spy glass for later use too and I’ll need an anvil for trimming armor because that’s an advancement so there goes all of my

Iron so with the Anvil I hang on um with the with the Anvil I uh wait a sec uh okay uh ah so I assumed it was the Anvil to add the armor trims but no it’s it’s not so all that iron uh went to waste cool great yeah good job me couldn’t

Have couldn’t have Googled it why didn’t I Google it I didn’t I Google it Ghost Buddy listen to me you got to stop being so dumb now that I know what to do I trim my armor with a sick purple trim and get Crafting a new look nailed it

And to go with my new uh drip I make some leather boots and head off to the mountains to get the light as a rabbit advancement by walking over powdered snow with leather boots ready for another piglin trading break me NE and no oh not leaving it in time to throw all

My gold to the pigs and I actually get a few pearls this time only three but it isn’t you know zero it does mean I’ll need more gold though unless I can get pearls the oldfashioned way come on give me a pearl buddy NOP no luck there back to trading

With the gold I found and I get a bit more luck with some all pears 13 pearls I think that’s enough boys thank you so much genuinely you guys are great stay in the hole clearly satisfied with a number of pears I head off to find the nether

Fortress and spy a gas on the way there I mean I literally spy it I get the is it a balloon advancement for looking at it with a spy glass bringing me up to 991 blocks I find the Fortress and make a really really safe bridge over to it

Doing this in a speedrun must be incredible no the places are alive the places are born I don’t want to the blazes are scary but luckily the piglins gave me a fire resistance potion I have a little deal with the blazes and then I overextend and I get both the terrible

Fortress advancement and the you died advancement uh no that’s not an advancement I just died oh the run back to the Fortress it’s tense but I get my stuff back and one of the blazes dropped a blaze rod so I also get the inter fire advancement now it’s time to make my

Direction of the stronghold and the portal that leads to the end where I can defeat the dragon and finally cut this to rest but I don’t have enough blocks in the Border yet so it’s time to do a little housework until I managed to delude myself into thinking I do have

Enough blocks I go off on a Fool’s erand to find the end Poole and get distracted by a boat in which I find a cute little treasure map before I go and find that I make a realization about the Border it’s closer than I expected it to

Be and I realize I’ve made two mistakes one is that I didn’t start the challenge at exactly 0 0 on the coordinates if there is water at 0 0 it’ll move you to the nearest land when you start the other mistake is that I thought I was adding 30 in every

Direction that’s not true I was adding 30 blocks to the Border split between the directions so 15 meaning I’ve only got half the distance covered that I need to because of this I realized I need to compensate for that mistake and future advancements are worth a 100

Which I think is fine anyway because as the challenge goes on the advancements get harder maybe they should be worth more so with that big whoops aside I get to exploring for the bar treasure there’s some nice things in the chest and more gold if I need it but now that

That’s out of the way ladies gentlemen folks and fools it’s time for the advancement lightning R I whip up any enchanting table and make a little enchanting room that’s a secret even to me I get the enchanter advancement by enchanting a silly little pickaxe but this is the lightning round

So I’m not going to pause there I make myself a chiseled bookshelf but I don’t use it just yet I take a little break from it and get the old Betsy advancement then I go back and make a comparator and put it next to the Bookshelf to NAB the power of books then

I make a Target block but I can’t hit the bullseye so I cheat and for one last easy advancement I decide it’s time to use the totem of undying all I need to do is lose all of my health while I’m holding it and it’ll take the death for me Easy where’s the idol it seems the to of UND dying isn’t in my inventory or any of my chests got that weird feeling again hang On [ __ ] there better not be anything down there I lost the totem the thing I was so lucky to find from the Mansion luckiest find of all and I completely wasted it it water a bummer this loss has got me thinking about the Mansion when I first went

Me that You’ve Got a Friend in Me advancement I wouldn’t really call us friends but uh all right what’s Next here’s the jungle we see a parrot we look at it through the telescope it’s another advancement I’m going to get that parrot advancement all I need is for a par to spawn and I’ll get another advancement out of it which is another 100 blocks I do some fun

Exploring in the jungle just waiting to run into a parrot it’s just a matter of time I’ve not seen any parrots that’s distressing it’s just a waiting game a long Wai in game but I do come across a funny man and I shoot him with a

Crossbow which gets me the who is the Pillager now advancement this brings me over the 1,500 block Mark to 100 no 1,561 blocks in total also killing the funny man Awards me the voluntary Exile advancement too and makes the Pillager Community mad at me but I’m sure that

Won’t be a problem all right back to Parrot quest uh have you have you figured out the joke yet do do you see where this is going yeah you do I’ll save us time and cut out the several hours of searching for a parrot I don’t

Know I do not know why why I couldn’t find a parrot maybe there wasn’t a parrot maybe maybe maybe I I I hallucinated it I I don’t know maybe the pirate is a place inside us a place I cannot reach let’s move on from Pirate Quest something

Different I go off on a little adventure looking for bees along the way I spot a second jungle reigniting a hope for a pirate Quest sequel but near the jungle there’s a bee home the bees are not very busy so I go honey for the time being psych we’re not done looking for

Parrots yet there’s a sparse jungle here and it could still have parrots in it this is a pretty big jungle over here I’d be shocked if there wasn’t one there wasn’t so while I’m picking up pieces of My Broken Heart from a failed attempt at finding parrots the universe sends me a

Peace offering that offering is a village and that offering I reject I bring a raid to the Village instead with several advancements on the line including the possibility of getting a brand new totem of undying the biggest battle so far begins ringing the bell shows where the Raiders are that’s good to know
