Foreign Hey guys I’ve got something different and very special for you today a Shader that is like no other I have ever seen well kind of it is based on the Fantastic complementary Shader but instead of Ray tracing or path tracing it’s actually voxel-based lighting now it is early and it does have some Pretty bad visual bugs that while I wouldn’t call this unplayable I would say the visual hiccups are largely unavoidable such as pop-in shading on path blocks and Lighting on or in-house is sometimes freaking out entirely despite these visual bugs this voxel Shader I found quite a bit more impressive than most RTX shaders Especially when it comes to the frame rate in which this was regularly getting double that of the RTX shaders I was testing but in terms of which is better overall I’ll leave that for you to decide in a direct comparison we’ll compare it to the Sonic ether’s unbelievable shaders ptgi hrr3 Shader That is a long title which I think is one of the most fierce competition shaders we could ever match this against now these two are entirely different Shader builds so do take some visual differences with a grain of salt the styles are not the same even so we have In my opinion the best looking RTX Shader versus a voxel version of what I consider to be the best overall Shader period links to all of the shaders as well as the mods and resource packs used in this video will be in the description below with introductions done let’s get right into it Foreign Foreign Foreign Foreign Foreign Foreign Foreign [Laughter] [Laughter] Foreign Foreign And that was the comparison let me know what you think in the comments and which one you thought looked better overall once again links to everything are in the description below but do keep in mind that you need a more than decently powerful PC to run either of these I’ll Also throw my own PC specs in the description somewhere so you have an idea of what is required to run these shaders this smooth and at this high of a render distance but who knows you guys might have something better than I do that’s all for now I hope you enjoyed I Greatly appreciate all of you who stuck around this long and I hope to see you all in the future with whatever comes next Video Information

The Voxel Shader takes into consideration every block, texture, and lightsource origin when casting shadows and light rays. It can be a little buggy right now but looks amazing! As if the lightsources for the first time are actually real.
While RTX Shaders traces light on a pixel level and simulates it’s interaction with it’s environment, refracting and scattering the light effecting illumination and color. Both are amazing in their own right and hopefully one day we can have (and be able to run) a combination of the two!
(Note: If it wasn’t obvious, this is Java Edition. Most, if not all of these packs and mods will not work, or have not been updated for Bedrock Edition.)
