Alchemical Architecture | The Monk Mod! | E01(Magic Modpack Let’s Play)

Hello my name is hector and welcome to a brand new series of alchemical architecture hello this is a brand new pack that yours truly has made um can we get some carrots get some a little bit of of stuff to eat and so this is my very own mod pack my first

Mod pack and it should be available to play in uh in curseforge and the twitch launcher if it isn’t yet i will update it as soon as it is so what is this modpack all about well it is all about building and magic so i tend to never play there are no tech

Mods in this mod pack absolutely no tech mods um it is all about magic and building i always play with tech mods and i always sort of i never i never really um never really get involved with the magic models and i thought it would be nice to

Um to do that and also magic modes look cool so i thought why not um build a mod pack around it i’ve got some of the bigger mod mods magic mods in here like you know yeah astral sorcery and blood magic and britannia but we’ve also got some a lot lesser

Known ones and the one of the one of the newer sort of magic mod is called the monk mod and that is by rw teamer that made extra utilities and you can see that little thing in the um the background just popped up there and that is because um we we’re

Gonna we’re gonna start on something neither building or properly magic today i want to do the monk mod and let me let me show you so that should have oh no it hasn’t it hasn’t yet but let’s do another one of these with my fists so the mod is all about

Leveling up there you go the way of the square fist um there you go so the moment is all about leveling up yourself but in the way of the monk so it is without armor on without tools and it’s a cool new mod and i really i

Really like the um the idea behind it so there you go break 10 wood logs with your bare hands so we need to get some stuff together you can see i’ve got dynamic trees which is really cool i really like the mod it’s a it’s a very cool mod um

Where can we find oh well maybe we can just do we can just do some of this and i’ve got all excavation in here as well just to make it a little bit easier um the mod pack itself is it’s meant to be fun you know it’s not hardcore it’s not expert

Mode it’s just me trying to get to grips with some magic mods and we’ve got a few lesser known magic mods in the pack as well at least lesser known to me um so that should hopefully be fun as well and you can see that little bar

On in the bottom right is slowly building up there you go monk level one excellent let’s see what we’ve got your hands can now quickly break wooden blocks without tools brilliant and your bare hands do 100 extra damage amazing okay and meditate while watching a sunset or sunrise okay

Well that is that is interesting what would be nice is uh maybe to do some of this get ourselves a crafting table there we go and i think i think i believe i’ve got something in the mod pack that lets me make wooden shears and

It would be nice to get a bed going i always like to get um a bed go maybe if i just actually put shears in that would be better wouldn’t it there we go uh yeah from roots to there we go we got some shears bam let’s break that that doesn’t seem

Too fast i’m guessing wooden um so it’s basically the same as as wood um as wooden tools which is not brilliant so i’ve started near this little village which is pretty nice obviously good for food and whatnot so i’m going to raid oh there’s a crafting table in here and i’m

Going to raid the village because obviously i why wouldn’t i why would i not oh there’s no there’s a crafting table some furnaces but no absolutely no thing so i’m gonna raid the village quickly and see if we can get maybe some wool so that we can sleep just in case

And uh then we’ll get right back right i am looking at the sunset and hoping that just about does it but i don’t know if it will go all the way please oh no oh am i just not am i just not near enough let’s go over this hill

And i’ve noticed that we’ve got teepees so that should be enough for us can i can i just about see that come on so clearly meditating just means looking at either the sunrise or sunset uh i’ve been getting some wood there we go monk level two let’s sleep let’s sleep

Quickly i don’t want any monsters coming along uh for the ride with us you can see i’ve got some diamonds uh and and a couple of tools there was a um get some mist that looks pretty cool that looks pretty cool this looks a bit weird the tp looks weird because of

Optifine i’ve got optifine installed so it looks a little bit odd that is from totemic which is a nice little mod so we don’t need we didn’t need shears uh i got some horse armor and some stuff i got a bit of oak wood now the thing with these dynamic trees is

They look very cool but you don’t get a lot of wood from them you don’t get too much wood from them um and when you plant them again you get acorns like little acorns and this is what they look like they grow they grow like normally

Like actual trees would which is sort of cool so you know swings in roundabouts but anyway and without level two your hunger will deplete 50 slower that is amazing and your skin is naturally armored oh yeah look at that we’ve got like half an armor thing okay brilliant what is the next one

Swim until your lungs nearly burst okay uh we can we can do that let’s um and yeah that little thing is going up okay let’s just yeah we could apparently we could we don’t have to actually swim we just have to be in the water and our bubbles are

Going down i’m guessing we have to maybe well go until very near yeah by the looks of it gone there we go monk level three excellent stuff what does this mean you can swim for much longer and your skin is naturally armoured yeah we’ve got a full a full armor level

Now brilliant um break five stone blocks with your bare hands okay four stone blocks down this is the last one so hopefully we should level up and i’m guessing this will give us stone tools oh yeah look we got we got cobble we got cobble we can now oh look at that

How weird is that that we can just do that and get cobble this is our first bit of cobble there you go ah brilliant excellent uh let’s have a look at um what it actually says uh your hands dig with the harness and speed of stone tools excellent pet 20 animals right

Click uh an animal with empty hand to pet okay and now you might have noticed that i’ve got an extra long hot bar which is the multi hot bar mod and what it does is it basically it gives you the top row of your inventory as a hot bar as well

And i just thought that would be good for building you know i always run out of hot bar slots when i’m building if you guys don’t like it then of course you can just remove that mod and uh totemic has received an update and how cool how cool

Are these totems it one of them gives me slowness which is not not so great i don’t know why you’d want that but uh these look awesome i love it look at them they look brilliant so that is that is definitely fun so i need to pet 20 animals so we might do

A bit of a oh i can see some animals up there that is a good start we might do a little bit of a um a time lapse So So Right it is night time dang it dang it that was bad and and i i got i got the the old i got the old achievement so i can i can basically i petted all the animals and i can basically breed them or set calm

Them down it said and i did the next one which gave me a huge speed increase and now i have to kill 10 mobs and what i’m after is a zombie and i cannot find a zombie because of course i can’t um never can never have a zombie when you need one um

And the reason i want a zombie is because i have the mod metamorph in this mod pack and i thought you know the morph mod it’s like the morph mod the famous morph mod uh lets you morph into different different mobs and take their abilities and but morph doesn’t work currently in

1.12 so i used metamorph which is a very similar type of thing and i don’t really want spiders spiders don’t seem to be counted towards the mob cap um of the monk mod which is a bit of a shame like i just want why can i not find a zombie

That’s it’s such a weird thing so this is what i’m doing there’s another creeper there which wouldn’t be a bad idea let’s uh let’s try and do a bit better this time there’s a zombie that was that that was rubbish oh right can i please just kill kill nope kill the creeper

Come on there we go right okay so you can see now there’s like a little creeper let’s get this one there we go right now we’re talking so if i do this oh where’s the there’s a zombie there it is there it is you gotta pick it up press n

And if we now select the zombie there we go and you can see we are a zombie now uh which is excellent um what we can do is run around without without getting um getting attacked by other mobs which is pretty nice so if we go to the skeleton here

If we go to the skeleton it will not attack us which is nice and look evil craft and evil craft um temple so i’m gonna kill some more mobs now until i get 10 and then uh and then we’ll i’ll show you what else i’ve done i just got monk level 7 i

Think um so let’s sleep quickly can i put this tp down i am in i’m in zombie mode right here uh can i not oh come on okay there we go there we go uh and i’m i’m sort of i’m sort of dying i died i died once you can

See hector was shot by a wind mage um which was exciting exciting times i actually i thought it was a zombie villager and it was a wind mage so that was less than brilliant so right let’s eat and there we go uh and let’s also change

Back i would have thought that um i would burn in the sunlight but apparently not i vampire bat possessed armor which is weird there you go there’s the wind mage and let’s go back to normal so let me fill you in so the last that you

Saw me is that that which gives us yeah there you go and thick skin oh i’ve got a little bit more thick oh yeah look at that i’m actually at four now and which is pretty good um awaken skills swiftness 40 faster jump 20 higher and

200 extra damage with my hands which is pretty good and now we’ve got this 10 hostile enemies 400 extra damage and your skin is naturally armored and the next one is dodge a skeleton’s arrow five times in a row without getting hit so if i look around uh

Where is it where did i do this thing was it was it here i feel like it could be here yes um i’ve i’ve got a skeleton in here and i i managed to capture one because i knew that was the next one very clever

Of me i i read ahead so if we open this up and ah oh wait oh where have you gone i i must have been too far and that is oh that is a creeper which is not what i wanted rubbish okay i’m gonna have to wait for night again

And then capture another skeleton i got another one i got another one here he is so let’s see if we can dodge some arrows can you see oh yeah you can oh hey ow okay so i need to i need to dodge them there you go five in a row

It shouldn’t be too hard hopefully there we go my tactic is clearly waiting for him to knock the arrow there we go we’re done let’s just get out of the way what do we get for that um because that’s a that’s a bit of a random one um automatically grab arrows

Out of the air provided you can see them and i can now run 80 faster wow look at that and let’s let’s see if we can grab these arrows let’s have a look well that didn’t even go anywhere near me apparently oh yeah look at that brilliant let’s get

Let’s stand a bit closer there we go amazing amazing that is brilliant let’s also now get rid of you there we go let’s get that stuff so what is the next one i like this mod a lot this is brilliant we won’t do all of these today

I think there’s up to 20 levels but um break four block of iron blocks with your bare hand so i’m guessing that would bring us up to iron tool level which would be pretty good and then take a boat upon the ocean and contemplate the midnight moon okay well we can we

Can do both of those things so i’ll skip the break in the iron blocks you know what that is i just need to i’m guessing iron blocks are just like a literal block of iron so i just need nine iron and uh what i’ve done here is i’ve just set up like we

Won’t stay here we won’t stay in the village and i’ve got six iron here i i went mining earlier and got some of that so and i’ve set up a little mine down here so i will go get some more iron i’m here in a boat on an ocean looking at the

Moonlight and i broke the same iron block four times there we go monk level 10. how amazing and um for breaking that yeah exactly we got hands and hand your hands dig with the harness and speed of iron tools which is pretty good what’s this one peacefully coexist among

The endermen without scaring them okay and walk through ten blocks ten blocks through fire okay well i need to find an enderman first thankfully at least it is night which is a good thing um oh what did i get for i didn’t actually check um what did i get

Water walking you can now walk a water really i i totally can oh and i’m still i’m still a zombie i don’t want that let’s let’s be ourselves again there we go oh oh look at that animation okay cool so i can walk on water that is pretty cool i like that

There we go let’s get that back and uh well yeah i’m gonna have to wait around for an enderman now and that is a little that is a um a wizard’s tower from one of my lesser-known uh magic mods so we will be looking into those when we get a

Little bit farther into the mod pack i found one i found one and it seems just standing next to them will do it which is pretty nice so coexist with them peacefully means apparently just standing next to them which i’m totally down with and let’s see what this oh

No stay with me stay with me stay with me don’t make me reset the ball come on almost there almost there almost there almost there please stand still oh okay what was that um well something happened and there we go you can now blink across long distances

Use the blink key to teleport you can figure this key in controls okay well that’s pretty excellent that is that is awesome um i’m sort of tempted to actually kill this guy as well just to see if we’re getting in the pool because that might be that might be a nice thing

We can come over here hi you you cannot reach us and but we can walk on water there we go wow that’s it’s slow going what’s that five damage yeah five damage per hit with my bare hand oh there you go and now we can be we can be an enderman

So i’ll figure out oh look at that that was a bit weird i’ll figure out the blink thing in a moment um i’m gonna set up ten blocks of fire and then ah there you go break one obsidian block with your hands that will get us up to diamond

Level um pickaxe which is sort of what i wanted i was hoping for so we might end the episode with that but i’m gonna set up the fire now and then uh yeah we can we can do the blink as well right i’ve got some flint and steel and some wood

So i was gonna set all of these on fire and then basically walk through it’s very clever but i figured out the blink and it is pretty cool so by pressing whatever control you assign to it you can see bam and it’s sort of like throwing an ender pearl so you do get

A little bit of damage you can see um but that’s pretty cool because it can like you can make it go upwards if you want or you know wherever basically oh that’s not what i wanted um so it is it is rather good i think that’s that’s a really awesome little power

So let’s try and get to this i’m guessing this might give us some uh some fire protection and i know this isn’t really magic but i feel it is magical ish um and it’s it’s new it’s cool uh and again i know some of some people might

Think this like stuff like this is a bit cheaty along with the metamorph mod but this is meant to be like a fun mod pack with magic so that’s i know that’s what i wanted to play so that’s sort of what i did let’s put this on fire there’s one that

I missed there we go let’s walk through blocks oh hey oh no oh oh oh oh am i doing this i don’t think i am there we go i did it i did it i totally did it everything went everywhere wow um let’s actually try and put some of this

Out i don’t know if this spreads feels like it was spreading a bit so immediately some of these blocks got um got eaten up but oh look it is definitely spreading there we go ah there we go i think did we get everything yes right um i’m guessing yeah fire fire resistance

Inner heat fire damage does 50 less damage that’s pretty good and you can safely swim in lava for a few seconds excellent right i’m going to go what’s that one convince the creeper to give exploding by giving it a friendly kiss right click with an empty hand because a creeper okay that’s a

Random one i think we will finish this episode i’m gonna go back to my minds i’m gonna find i’m gonna find myself look at how fast we are and yet i’ve noticed if we dive into water we will go through it rather than just landing on it but if you just walk

Um over it you will we we can easily just walk on it so that’s a that’s an interesting little thing so i’m going back to my mind i’m gonna find some lava and uh yeah we will um we will break obsidian i’ve been doing some mining i found a pretty big cave

Network and you can see we’ve got loads of random stuff i’m mining as a zombie again because i don’t i just don’t attract anything which is excellent uh so copper lead lots of stuff from embers but then we’ve got stuff like electro blobs wizardry and we’ve got

We’ve got some quartz we got yeah more tin and something from magic arsenal which is exciting greystone mod extended all these little things and then of course we’ve got some of this crystals from thorncraft as well thumbcraft is something that i’d very much want to get into i’ve never done thorncraft so

Another reason for the modpack so let’s start uh there you go let’s start doing wow this is slow so like i said if you uh if you want to play along with this um then i’m going to put the seed and the biome i’m playing in uh biomes are

Plenty uh set to small small biomes so not not the normal size or medium sized and like i said as well it should be out hopefully on twitch if it isn’t i will update it as soon as it is but uh this mod pack is made for me

It’s me it’s designed specifically for me so you know if you are interested then i’d i love it if you played and let me know but just keep that in mind but i didn’t mind so we’re almost there boom level three and of course i uh i didn’t

Get anything then so i’m guessing i’m guessing that just gives us diamond um oh your skin is naturally armoured as well and yeah our hands are harder than diamond which is pretty good uh let’s uh just go to the first one let’s see how fast this wow that is pretty fast for

Just our bare little hands amazing amazing stuff so i think we’re going to end it there let’s actually go back to what we what we actually are i killed a bat as well so we should be able to fly maybe that might be interesting there we go
