Alchemy Plays Minecraft – 2 – Farms & Enchants

What’s going on guys brandon alchemy here and as you can see we’re playing another episode of minecraft and uh i’ve done a little bit of work off camera uh that’s what i’ll probably be doing in this series not a lot of work but um enough i went to find some cows

And there’s literally none around here except in that swamp and i watched back on the first episode i killed a bunch of cows and left a couple i didn’t find any more there but on that one island right there there was four cows and i left a sign there that said

Cow island or something i don’t know the chicken or egg farm like 15 eggs it’s doing very well um i’ll come up here i’ve added in a bunch of more chickens as you can see let’s do a couple we didn’t get a single chicken out of that stands up with that

I don’t know uh we don’t need any more chickens there anyway i don’t think but yeah i’ve been breeding the cows and everything and uh so that way we can i’ll show you over here i went caving and i got a couple more diamonds i believe i had the diamond pick

On me last episode no maybe i didn’t uh but yeah i went cave and got some stuff apparently some experience in here i dug down there and went mining uh so yeah i got some diamonds and uh where’s it at obsidian and we’re gonna make an enchantment table all right we need

Two diamonds so take that and that okay and we need to make a book where’s our letter here we go and we have a lot of sugar cane a lot of sugar cane uh so yeah we’re pretty much set so we need three of these to make three books crap there we go

And like so nope not the diamonds there we go got three books and it’s nighttime let us go sleep there we go also you may have seen that uh i expanded the sugarcane farm quite a bit and added in this pumpkin farm and may have done that i think i had that there

The wheat farm uh maybe not i think i did though not sure all right let us make the enchantment table book on top and two diamonds all right we have that here our brown mushrooms are whoa brown mushrooms are growing our red is not there we go

Okay i don’t know why the red isn’t but actually we might have too many brown mushrooms here’s why i clear out all the brown mushrooms and see what happens now it should grow maybe if that was the reason not really sure all right we need to make a temporary little room

For our enchantment table so let’s get some wood i went and got a ton of wood let’s do just put this together like that and there we go okay i should give us two stacks all right all also i’ve been making with the pumpkin farm and you can

We have seven so let’s make seven seven sugars ah we used all them eggs hopefully there’s some here let’s go see what we got i heard one pop so we got one okay they use the sugar the egg and the pumpkin pumpkin pie that’s mainly what i’ve been eating uh so yeah

Where should we put the enchantment table we’ll probably be going to it quite a bit so let’s let’s just put it here so the enchantment table needs to be in the center so like so i believe yes it needs to be two away so books enchantment table goes here

And the books go along the edges okay just add all the wood in up two more here okay now i need to put a torch in here let’s take this one and stick it there okay now we can break this and put the enchantment table okay uh

Do we have anything else that we can use for the floor what do we got let’s use stone bricks i got a lot of cobble and i smelled it at all smelled it did it smell good it all and uh we’re gonna use that or we did use that and we made

Stone bricks crap and that’s what we’ll use for our floor okay here we go there all right i think we should put some trim around all right so let’s do this how much would that give us seven let’s do 16 and see where that gets us i don’t know how much we need

But uh let’s see nope where’s my i guess do i only have a diamond deck or uh what’s my pickaxe maybe i do i don’t know let’s do it like this now poop place like so and we made just enough awesome uh should we put half slabs up there or

Leave it like that and we’re gonna leave it like that for now uh how much wheat we got five wheat and we got a couple more growing here so take it and put seeds here there we go take the wheat seed sweet why is it not giving me any seeds uh

I think we’re good just put that there okay now we have 11. let’s go read the cows breed breed breed breed breed braid and there we go they’re all brad and let’s get in here and slaughter some cows okay kill another come here come here come here there we go

Uh let’s get out of here now and let’s go make some more books um okay now we need some wood let’s do this okay so we need like one more piece and let’s do it real quick before it gets night time and there we go okay let’s go place it in here

There we go what level does this get us up to nine it looks like 13 okay so we can do decent level and chance um i’m not sure what we’re gonna enchant first not sure should we do some armor or should we do uh the pickaxe put that there seed seed seed

Okay now we got this here seed there we go and it’s night time sleep okay oh lot going on how much eggs do we have because we’re getting kind of hungry oh we do have some meat that we can eat though too oh wow a lot of eggs okay got another pumpkin here

Take that okay grab all our we already have all our pumpkins okay let’s melt this oh we have more stone too okay uh where’s our coal uh break these put that in there throw that in there okay what was i doing oh yeah i’m making some uh

Uh pumpkin pies so we need three more sugar okay we should be good do you like where’s that where’s that where there we go there got some pumpkin pie eat some of that and let us hmm what should we enchant two books if we got one more book

I don’t want to kill that cow though it has a lot of babies to take care of i don’t want to kill it yet i got another pumpkins pumpkins over there all right hmm trying to think what do i want to enchant hmm let’s do the pick ax 14 do it efficiency two

Okay i’ll take that uh should we take this yeah i think we’re gonna make a diamond sword as well and enchant that we’ll see how good of an idea that is probably a horrible idea but let’s find out we need a level seven there we go okay what we got sharpness one

All right i could have got the same thing on a level one enchant but we’ll take it better than nothing i guess actually it is better than nothing well that happened i just went down caving just to find some stuff and a spider knocked me off into lava and yep yep so yep

Basically starting from the bottom again okay guys uh since i died and everything i went down exploring or mining and stuff and um i started doing this and what i came across was a zombie spawner and we’re gonna take this thing on okay oh we dropped a carrot yes another one i died

There now that can’t get up okay where’d he come from i don’t know okay let’s clear this other area over here they won’t be able to get up that uh they may be able to come from there so let’s just seal it off and that is now they’re not going to come from

Where’d you come from i have no idea where he came from let’s see where he might have came from i don’t know here maybe i don’t know light it up okay let’s check what we got where’d he come from okay right there but he can’t get us okay

What do we got a saddle good and we got that carrot uh some iron let’s what should we throw in there hmm uh throw that bone meal that’s the same record so we only need one of them throw that in and grab that redstone okay

Oh oh no no no no no no no no no holy crap oh oh scared the crap out of me okay now we are definitely going to use this to make us a xp farm but probably not today so we’re just gonna mark this 363 53.

Oh we have this tunnel anyway so yep so we know where we’re going when we’re gonna work on that what i want to work on is a uh pumpkin farm or really um pumpkin i guess carrot now and um a wheat farm that’s the word

Uh we gotta get rid of something so we can take this bone meal hmm can’t make decisions just put that dirt in there okay there we go let’s take this iron while we’re here all right we are probably gonna sit here and wait until it turns daylight and

Yeah i’ll be back with you guys then okay guys we’re back and uh yep this stuff’s growing quite a bit um i’ve harvested 31 wheat and 23 pumpkin that’s mainly why i want to have it automatic so i don’t have to keep doing this

But uh we got a ton of sugar cane and that’s grown all the way too check our egg farm over here i added another chest with the hopper behind it because we were filling up so much here and that’s filling up as well we got a ton of eggs

I brought our cows again slaughtered them you’ve already seen that nevermind um let’s see so where are we gonna put our farm hmm probably like right here let’s mark it out okay so here and we walk in we need some this the wall three wide space can have chests on the side

Going up now another one on the side too it needs to be this wide then the actual farm start so here we’d walk and this would have to be see one two three four five six seven eight i believe let’s find out there’s an enderman okay let’s put our water bucket up there

And see how far it goes i believe it goes eight blocks so water source one two three four five six seven so yes eight with the water source so this would be the drop off yes i like it there that is what she said okay i’m going to

Work on this a little bit i went and harvested a ton of wood as you probably saw so yeah i’ll be right back with you in just a bit all right guys i’m back and uh crap did not mean to do that um let’s add this back real quick all right um

We are gonna oh i might almost show that on let’s see we’re gonna make a pick axe did i yo okay we’re gonna make a pick axe i think i have a ton of sticks in here oh got one so that’s good enough make a pickaxe and we’re gonna enchant it

And i’m gonna look straight down so you guys can’t see nothing um i have added in a couple bookshelves over the course of the building hopefully we can get a level 30. does not look like it okay we’re going to come back to that real quick but i’m pretty much finished with the

Wheat farm uh are you guys ready to see it uh all right here we go there it is right there um all of this stuff i didn’t use any youtube videos or anything to figure out how to do it i don’t know if anybody else on the

Planet has ever done anything like this but um the best of my knowledge this is my own design i i would imagine quite a bit of people have done this the door um but yeah this is the farm under these half slabs is some water as you can faintly see

Right there the blue and uh back in the back here we can go around right back here it’s some more water i do know a lot of people use this piston design but um i’ve never seen it like this um these pressure plates as long as i stay on them the water will

Stay coming out so you can pick it up run along here and pick it up and also i’ll show you so you can see there’s ladders here it can stack on top of each other so here’s another bit of wheat also over here i think about to right here these are all carrots

And this is a little bit of wheat um but the water will come down here as well you can see it a lot better here these blocks will retract when i’m on those uh pressure plates let the water flow down and it all almost all of it goes directly down

Every now and then a seed or two will get stuck here but i’ve never had much problems with it so it all comes down here where i’m walking around and i just top back up and plant all the seeds so yeah it’s fairly easy um it was not that easy to do however

Um actually to do it was but to figure out something that worked wasn’t too easy but yeah where’d that zombie come from i don’t know where he came from okay um let’s slaughter a couple cows well i guess we’re gonna enchant our diamond pick is level 20 the biggest

Yeah it looks like it okay this one efficiency three um i’ll take it not too bad i guess uh so yeah that’s basically it i believe um i may be able to show you some of the redstone otherwise nope anything i do is gonna break it all uh but it’s fairly simple

Here here we got some stuff back here uh repeaters hooked up to the pistons and a redstone dust along the back behind it traveling down here and it’s the exact same thing as it is right here except down there and that wire or dust goes all the way back

To directly under the pressure plates and runs along the pressure plates which um yeah obviously there’s some repeaters every now and then but yeah it’s very simple um i like it because i was gonna i wanted to have a butt uh button but um with the button

It only stays pushed down for a couple seconds and i couldn’t figure how to increase the time i spent several hours trying to figure that out and uh no luck so then i started messing around with different things and i actually like the pressure plate thing also the floor is uh

Them stone slabs so yeah and so is the ceiling okay guys i am back and uh while i was waiting i went down and got a very tiny bit of stuff um also i found seven or eight diamonds uh and obvious holy crap i didn’t know i got that much redstone

Alright that’s cool uh but yeah i just went down and started strip mining with the new pick and it is really fast actually i don’t think i’ve ever had a diamond efficiency pick um mainly because for some reason i never find any diamonds but uh yeah

Let’s see you throw that in there that in there you got another iron truck okay if you’re curious to see how fast it is that is how fast it is really fast and i believe you can get an efficiency five so yeah i’d like to have that someday okay i think we’re

I thought i had two okay anyways we are good enough to harvest it it’s not all done but it’s good enough we got some carrots grown yep okay in most of the week okay we are gonna harvest it so you guys can see if i can get down there we go this

How it walks like this and around on the other side as well i’m not sure if i should keep it or not i did it because i wasn’t sure how else to be able to get up here at first i wanted it to have or walk up here like this but

If i take these pressure plates away and i’m walking along the current for the redstone won’t stay so it’ll stop stop the water for a second and then push the pistons back down which i don’t want that so i just did this but let’s harvest it okay

So all you gotta do is just walk on the pressure plate and there comes the water what ah well there’s a flaw with my plan there not gonna be able to do that let’s get some wood but yeah as you can see all the stuff

Came we’ll go up and check if there was any left and this stuff would have but i’m an idiot and we’re gonna do it once again i can’t believe i did that grab all these as you can see there’s a seed right there but that’s no problem

Because we can just grab it while we’re replanting and yep there’s one seed stuck on the fence but that was all and so yeah got 28 wheat and 25 carrots and that wasn’t even fully grown it didn’t take too long for it to grow but i just wanted to show you guys real

Quick let’s throw in some seeds how about we do this there we go and let’s do this and let’s do this okay put that there there where we got a potato awesome now we can add some potatoes up there um must have from killing i literally killed like two zombies
