All The Mods 6 Ep. 10 Rats Mod Crop Automation

Hey guys and welcome back this is chosen architect and today’s episode is gonna be absolutely radical so i hope you guys already this guy right here i tell you what he he’s nice and all and he’s bringing me rats so you know what today we’re gonna definitely get into the rats mod

It’s about time right i’m sure a lot of you have been like chosen why don’t you play with the rats mod i don’t know i don’t know i just i never took the time to figure out how to get into it but here recently over on twitch i have

Been playing around with the rats mod and learning a little bit about it so i still have lots and lots to learn but these little fellas are actually kind of useful so i want to put them to work now this plague doctor on the other hand

He’s more just kind of annoying but i do notice like he’s got some pretty high value drops here or trades and this is yeah pretty high value stuff here but i’m just i don’t need you yet right i need some other stuff like cows right

Why do i need cows well we’re gonna need milk and we’re gonna need lots of milk so to get this how about we take a lead and we put a lead to to work right i want to gather some cows so we can make this inder farmer’s lead right

And this will allow me to go find animals bring them to our base let’s uh let’s go ahead and get some fence because i also need a place to store my animals i would love to also today find some spruce because i have yet to find

Spruce and this is probably one of my favorite building materials um yeah i’m gonna need a little bit of fence and uh yeah that’s the the mice eating my food um i need to be careful too because they like to raid chests and stuff and this just walks on

My crops what is wrong with this guy he thinks he owns this building oh my goodness all right so yeah i want to get a little bit of a farm going so i’m thinking over here potentially would be a good spot for some sort of cow farm

To set that up and at least get some animals i think like a cow farm maybe some sheep would all be nice to uh to have a hold of um so i need to fill these holes and uh and get to work so i got the inner workings of a very very simple

Stable setup um just it’s literally just cobblestone wood that’s all it is cobblestone wood um and of course my lights from ours new uh new nouveau wow i don’t know why i’m having a hard time saying it today anyways uh this is just a very simple

Little stable i need to go get some cows not creepers this guy can just just straight up get out of here get out whoa whoa all right this is the fast fast fella this is one of the fast ones oh no ah why would creepers be fast i’d

Who made that and also this has a lot of health it’s called ha ha ha ha ha ha wait no no it’s not oh what is it i can’t even read it so how helena that’s says helena you know what i could probably use some chickens

Like i might as well grab some chickens what does this be what is a lava bee do does a lava beach spawn in the overworld i already have a lava bee but it’s kind of nice to have one wait can i not pick you up i’m right-clicking you held entity

I can’t pick you up can i pick you’re a beekeeper very nice welcome welcome i can’t pick the chicken up excuse me excuse me this is a farmer’s lead held entity nothing um wait wait wait wait there is a way to do this right don’t have to punch them i have to punch

Them that’s that’s right i remember this i remember the thing it’s like so not intuitive because you don’t want to punch the mob that you’re trying to pick up i forgot about that but i do like that i can pick up these mops very very nice so i just gathered a sheep

And release nice so i need to pick up um two or i need to pick up one more sheep and then i also need to grab one more or two more cows and i should be good because i haven’t gotten any cows yet um i don’t really even see them on the

Mini-map so i’ll probably have to travel just a tad bit to get them so this biome is really pretty i really love these flowers wow like yeah big props to the the byg because this mod is beautiful man absolutely love that so it looks like we have some horses um and

Hopefully these are some cows over here and not more horses nope more horses i probably shouldn’t have killed off all the all the cows um i did however bring some bee jars so i can of course grab some more bees as we find new ones finally i found some bovines

I’m gonna go ahead and grab this one and i mean i guess i can set a marker here cows perfect and i should be able to get back to my face it is gonna be a little bit of a walk but it’s not it’s not horrible and there’s cow

Two perfect all right so how are we gonna get cheese right that’s the whole point we’re going after the rats mod well we’re gonna need a cauldron um and i might have enough iron yeah i totally should have i have plenty of iron um to be able to make a couple of

Cauldrons i’m gonna go with like three or so um and then of course a couple buckets i’m gonna go with just one for right now and this should work just fine as soon as we sleep because oh my gosh the rat guy where he’s he’s somewhere but

Oh it’s just it’s not good you know what i might be able to find the guy that’s doing this um and be able to remove it i’ve already blocked the dispenser but this would be a good time to show you guys that you can use this muffler here

And we can search in here for recent sounds or all sounds or muted so recent is this right here we have barrel beehive beehive chest um composter fence glass ladder lava hmm the bat look open where is this sound it’s like it’s like potion splash potion this right here this sound

That’s the drinking okay that kind of works that that at least gets rid of the horrible noise that i was hearing but i still have this like trans transition noise that it’s making but it’s it’s not nowhere near as bad as the drinking so let’s go ahead and make

Some cheese right um all we need is our cauldrons some cows and we just throw some milk inside these cauldrons and then give it a couple of seconds and this will turn into cheese pretty quickly and we just repeat the process we’re gonna need a little bit of cheese rats

Are a little finicky they uh they’re kind of cheese hogs like 12 cheese is probably not enough to tame some of these rats and it does say that the the rats that he brings around are tame-able which is kind of nice so we don’t have to make like

Our fine garbage piles or make garbage piles or trade for garbage piles in order to get them to spawn they he will just bring them to us which is kind of fantastic saves us a whole lot of time waiting for them to just spawn so now that we have a little

Bit of cheese i do see that there are some rats over here i’m just gonna toss the cheese down turn my magnet off and just let this guy go to town until it’s tamed it might take a while um man you are loud okay it’s probably gonna come back for more

Like i said they’re hungry fellas they definitely are and we don’t know exactly if it’s a girl or a boy just yet but we will find that out shortly by the way they’re going in here and eating my combs i need to get rid of them they’re they’re somehow making it making their

Way in here to get the cones i don’t exactly know where they’re getting in but they’re getting in they’re probably burrowing holes under the ground or digging holes in the wood as rats tend to do so yeah this might might take a little bit but eventually the rat will be tamed

Hopefully so i’m just i’m tossing the cheese out and i did see a particle effect so another particle effect that was it going like oh there’s another one so i keep doing this eventually i might get some hearts you can see it does take a lot of cheese

There’s another we’re about out already i mean good thing it’s easy to make and it’s like free to make so and there we go so it’s our friend now okay so with it being our friend it still wants to eat stuff like he just ate that comb

Like that’s not okay you just ate a piece you just ate lapis right there so what we can do is we can click on this and set it to stay here and we do have a bully it’s a boy mouse we can click on it and it’s now

On our head yes it is writing on our flower uh the flower by the way is coming from batanya is patreon supporter perk for britannia and also the little flare that you might see right there that is an astral sorcery supporter perk or patreon uh just in case you didn’t know uh but

There we go we have the rat right the rats on our head now how do we get it off our head simply hold shift and punch in the air and it’s gonna drop the rat now we have it set to stay right here but you change this make sure

You click because right now i set it to wander you got to click and make sure it’s set to stay so way it just sits there um and it’s going to look super adorable and it but the thing is it can look even cuter you can put things on its head like armor

Or you can even go as far as um let’s see hat you can throw one of these santa hats on it so this is a santa hat that we see because it’s the holiday season we can open the rat’s inventory here place the hat in there now our rat has a santa hat

Um but i don’t want my rat to be santa cause that’s not what i want to do with it i want it to be a farmer so there is a farmer hat that we can set up and there we go i click on this and we can change it now we have a

Farmer rat right okay so the hats are just cosmetic right but it does take on the armor property values as you can see there are armor associated with this because you could have rats fight for you at you know as of right now they’re kind of weak they’re not the greatest in the

World i want this rat to do stuff so we go in the rats mod um we’re gonna need a couple of things we’re gonna eat a cheese staff that’s one thing we’re gonna need and we’re also gonna need a rat flute the rat flute is going to say

Okay um what do we need to do with this rat right how’s this rack gonna work uh and we need to use that flute to tell it what to do let me go here i was out of terracotta the funny thing is is well this is literally a biome of just terracotta so

I was able to simply grab some of that um to go ahead and make this flute so rats again oh rats right make the flute all right now we have the two items we need let’s go and get a chest and i want to go ahead and get a rat

Upgrade um i hope i have enough diamonds for this because this is not a cheap upgrade i want to make it a farmer rat so i’m gonna need diamonds and i am out of a diamond yeah that’s that’s not okay um because that is how we get our like base rat upgrade

Um i think by default it will farm for me but i do want this this right here allows this rat to work on its own efficiently so i can have this rat auto farm a crop for me and it will place the items in the chest and it won’t actually break

The crop so pretty much we would be automating our mana jar with this rat which would be really really nice there we go that should totally do it’s like i’m getting diamonds as i need it yeah just did a little bit of mining there

So i went ahead and set up a little bit of a crop over here and i went ahead and moved my uh mana condenser and manager over here as well um this setup might end up getting moved also and probably will end up somewhere over here or over here

It all depends i don’t know exactly yet what i’m gonna do with this um i might end up clearing this tree here and just expanding this little area for this but i need to automate this crop and the best way to do that i think is going to be with our mr

Rat here um so i i needed that diamond before so let’s go ahead and i have my diamond on me let’s go ahead and pull this out get all of my my junk all thrown in here uh diamond was the one thing i was needing though

Uh and we should have enough cheese so back to the rats mod i need a rat upgrade basic which it sounds crazy right a rat upgrade basic that uses diamond but that is what it takes and then i also need to surround that with some seeds it doesn’t really matter what kind of

Seeds so long as it’s a seed and this is going to go into our rat i know it’s really weird but it is going to go into our wrap so let’s head over here and i just want to place my rat technically i just want to place it

Right here on the ground we can access our wrap and i can place my upgrade in here i still have it set to stay here and i want that to be the case i’m going to take my cheese staff and i’m going to click on my wrap

And it’s now bound to the rat i’m going to click this chest okay so me clicking on the chest i want to set the home point or the rat to this dark chest right um and now it is set to this chest now all i have to do is i have to say

Okay rat what i want you to do well i want you i think i can let’s see well it’s eating right now command the rats wander current command wander how do i change the okay i have to shift and click and not hit something there we go

Uh follow me so i want it to be set to to harvest right so uh by doing that i did change my rat so what i have it set here to do is now harvest but it’s got an item and i need to tell it to do something with this item

Let me click this again and i can say deposit item into the top of this chest as you can see it is now going crazy with this it is dropping the seeds everywhere it is going so fast it is dropping the seeds all over the ground

Um and i might set up something else for that but what we could use is another rat and i don’t even think a rat needs an upgrade to be able to just pick up the items so maybe what we can do is i also want to set this rat to

To do this job right it’s going to continue doing this job uh it might actually go and pick up yeah random items oh it’s harvesting like other stuff around it like grass it’s like picking up the grass for some reason anyways this rat is going to harvest like it’s doing

Um and i will probably want a rat over here as well to uh to pick up these seats so i need a gathering rat let’s go ahead and make one of those so right over here we have a couple of rats see if we find any takers and we have a

Zombie that apparently wants in on the action as well leave it up to that to ruin everything okay so come on mr rat i want to see some heart particles maybe we get more than one who knows oh goodness they’re both like come on please i want more

I mean i wouldn’t mind having more than one rat it’s not gonna bother me too much all right so i ended up getting another rat and it’s this one right here so if i right click wait is it this one or is it this one what’s this one

So i’ll set it to stay here and it’s another boy so i’ll pick that up we’re gonna be getting a uh a zombie head how nice all right let’s pop over here and then let’s see so the rat is on my head um i need to command this rat to pick up items

Um so i don’t exactly know they place this rat down and then i’m going to link this rat as well to this chest so it’s this home chest and then i just need to tell this rat hey transport items wander stay here follow me hunt animals gather items

And then i want this rat to deposit items into the chest and is it doing it i don’t know i don’t think it is unless it’s wanting cheese because i’m holding it oh no it is i was just holding cheese so it is going to head over here it’s going

To pick up items it’s going to do its thing apparently it’s going to communicate it’s going to find a what a weird place for it to hang out under here i guess it’s a safe spot though um but hopefully these like this is fully grown so how come you are not

Over here set home point set home point interesting command the rat to harvest hmm i want it to stay though and then you i want to stay as well i don’t know maybe there’s um like it was set to harvest i don’t want it set to harvest as well

I want it set to gather which maybe there’s certain things you have to do in order to get that wander stay here follow me hunt animals oh i can command it here gather items so that’s what i want it to do technically but it’s wanting to gather an item

That’s over here i don’t understand and then you’re not doing exactly what you should do either man rats are gonna be they’re gonna be a pain look at this how about you stay over here hey where are you going so funny thing is this rat just really

Really wants that crop that’s in here unfortunately fella you don’t need to go in there you really don’t you don’t need man your reach is really far like it it knows that’s that’s over there and it is it is definitely reaching like that’s a long ways

There we go okay maybe it’s ignoring it now but this one is still just sort of setting here i mean there’s really not any items for it to gather why is this staff now bound to rat deposit items into the chest and then this rat hot deposit items can we only have one

Rat set i’m so confused i don’t know i’m learning this mod still so it’s going to take a little bit of time for me to learn maybe you guys let me know down in the comments guys of course as always i want to give a huge
