All the Mods 7: S1 EP16 | More Nether Exploration! | Minecraft 1.18

Hello there everyone the andrada here and welcome back to episode 16 of our all the mod 7 let’s play series where today we are continuing to explore the nether we have a pack update to talk about and all kinds of goodies so let’s get started all right everybody welcome

Back uh so today is pac update day uh we have updated the pack from version 0.2.32 to version 0.2.36 um and if you are following along and you’ve been playing along with me using the same pack version you’re going to want to note this okay there are some

Caveats with updating if you are updating from point 3 2 to anything higher i think the next step up is 0.34 because 0.33 was a broken release or something like that you are going to need to copy over your biomes of plenty version from 0.32 over to 0.36

With 0.36 biomes of plenty was updated and there is a broken biome or a biome that was removed from the pack that breaks the pack uh you will not be able to load you’ll get an error about data packs or something um and you can’t you can’t do anything you can’t access the

Game you won’t be able to log in or do anything so uh if you are following along copy that over that is sometimes the issue and caveat with playing uh mod packs like this we’re playing this is an alpha beta version i don’t know i don’t know exactly what they’re classifying the

Status of this as right now um but it it is a thing that you know you have to pay attention and watch out for these little these these caveats and stuff because you know it’s not a full release and even full release packs you sometimes have issues with stuff like this um so

Yeah just something to keep in mind also uh as you can see all of our bookmarks are gone that happens pretty much every time i update the pack apparently uh so good thing we weren’t working on anything too important right i don’t think so maybe we were

Uh comment mentioned a little bit ago that we should upgrade to toast so i’m just trying to see how do we go ahead and do so upgraded toast we just cook this again and it’ll turn into toast yes and that’s four let’s see it’s four ham hocks and about five saturation per

And if we do it like this this is buttered toast though which would require butter which is a whole bunch of stuff so let’s go ahead and we’ll put we’ll cook up the toast let’s grab some coal um here we go and eight we’re gonna do this and we’re going to

Oh okay well uh one of the new updates for the mod earth for the pack is integrated dynamics so apparently by picking up some coal i completed a bunch of integrated excuse me a bunch of integrated dynamics achievements so but we’ll let our toast cook up and do its thing

Uh so yeah that’s uh that’s where we’re at new pack update um i’m trying to figure out my map situation here because if you remember last episode we were doing some exploration and i wasn’t caring for ge our journey map uh just because it wasn’t updating uh it just wasn’t just wasn’t working

Doing the thing that we needed it to do um and ftb chunks map is working great except for the fact that when i press m it is opening the chunk map not the full world map and i have to actually go over here and click

Open the large map which is kind of sort of a pain and i don’t see a setting anywhere to change that um so yeah we got that going for us but hey hey and luca while we’ve been talking finished the lumber yard i had him kick this off uh sorry the

Forester’s hut had him kick this off and start working on this so we could get some trees planted this is a very interesting building is this caledonia did i did i do the right thing i did it just looks it doesn’t have any like anything special i made this a couple

Days back or i gave them all the stuff and it’s been a bit since i’ve recorded so uh i couldn’t remember really luca you leaving a patch of dirt like you you set up a floating torch are you kidding me buddy and is this really oh you know why haha there’s an arsenal

Light there and is this really open like this this just looks weird i have a feeling that something got bugged here and that is not not finished because look there’s spots missing there this whole door is missing now this may be a thing but look he’s missing okay

Now i’m glad i’m glad you finished here luca good good job buddy i don’t know if you did it right but manage workers no not manage workers um build options repair like is that gonna is that gonna cause them to fix it because it’s weird uh anyway

So what we can do now yeah cuz there’s no there’s nowhere to put my saplings either i guess this has an inventory so we could put saplings in here and then we have to define the area so if we go into here we can restrict the forester’s working area by right clicking one

Corner and left clicking an opposite corner with the tool so if we obtain the tool we can tell him hey you’re gonna work over in yonder area let’s clear out this oh it was also mentioned that we can um use this lavender and we compost it to and you can get um

Uh you can get bone meal out of it i’m so i’m down for that we’re definitely gonna check that out and try and bone meal and get some bone meal from all this lavender because there’s a lot of it and at least get us something

Out of all this um but yeah so what we want to do is set this up to be like oh not intended let’s go grab another one because i don’t have another selection tool it something happened there uh selection tool obtain the tool let’s read what it says to do

Restrict the forces there by right clicking one corner and left clicking the opposite corner okay so if i want him to work like this to be his range so we’ll start it like say here so we’re gonna right click here first position set and then if we come over here and define like

This area for him um let me get rid of that ours light and then define this area bam forester restricted area are set to 112 blocks max size is 5 000 second position set hey and we have oh we have a new child who where’d this work come from

Where’d you come from lorena nice good to see you good to see i didn’t know we had any romance going on in our in our in our base or anything but we do we do uh apparently maybe luca and sherry you know we were talking about that last episode they did

Move in next door to each other maybe they’ve been uh sneaking over at night while i’m sleeping who knows i mean they don’t have to hide it from me you know love is love they can do what they want they’re adults uh compost we need a composter which is just some slabs

Which is gonna be found over here we are having inventory issues abound and uh if we go and look at simple storage networks uh it has been removed so this is a simple storage mod but simple storage networks what we were looking to dive into uh was removed because it’s

It’s broken apparently causes all kinds of issues which is just lovely a composter and then how about some iron so we can get some a hopper and then a chest and the chest hopper two of these guys and we can set up this composter be automated by using this and then the lavender

Bambam three four how many slots is in the in the hopper five so we’ll set this guy up here so let’s do i don’t i don’t want this like floating thing anymore um though it kind of fits the area but if we do this this this and then we can hop on top

And then we should be able to yeah and it’s filling up cool and we’ll get bone meal out of it all right cool so we can turn that into bone meal which is dye which is solves quite a few problems we’ve had um but yeah real quick i just want to see

What what is luca’s status on this what is he doing here and then from there um we’re gonna pop back into the nether and do more exploration because we’re still on the hunt for a fortress so just what do you need five strip spruce logs is that literally the only thing you need

Yeah strip spruce and then spruce logs so yeah something something funky happened there i’ll deal with that in between um lorena is going to be our builder of or i mean our forester of course we are going to have to upgrade luca to tier three so that i can upgrade a house

To tier three and then we can get another villager in here i’m gonna try and keep you know like this many houses for now and then eventually you know we’ll expand but we’ll get these leveled up and then as far as we can to you know expand our village and

Things like that because it shouldn’t cost a whole lot to do because it’s just nether bricks as far as i understand yeah but that’s where we’re at so let’s go pop into the nether um you know what why am i doing this i set up a waypoint didn’t i

I have a way stone why am i going to go through my portal let’s continue where we left off and go into the waystone and go that route bam okay uh gold helmet is uh on we’re gonna go to back to the thing if you remember we stopped ourselves here when

We were at this guy exploring this um and yeah let’s go ahead and continue i don’t have a uh a thing the um pickaxe on me i don’t believe yeah i don’t have one in here do have another sword though i have a stone pickaxe it’ll it’ll do in a pinch

But yeah we’re just looking around for another fortress so let’s open up our map and continue like exploring there’s not like we’re not having much luck and that’s one of the one of the worst things i say about especially modded nether biomes when the nether is modded you have to find

Specific structures like the nether fortress and when you have modded biomes it it can like make that very difficult because where a fortress would have spawned in vanilla minecraft you now all of a sudden have a nether glowing mushroom biome something or other you know it just uh it can mess things up

And going where’s my map where’d my mini map go excuse me um minimap hello how’d you get disabled don’t know yeah i’m kind of heading off this direction i’m just going to keep going west but we kind of have a impasse here and i didn’t think to bring

Any of my uh nether or my yeah my netherrack with me so let’s just let’s just cut behind this glowstone we have plenty of glowstone so i’m not too worried about you know if we need to pick any of it up i’ve got stacks of glowstone sitting back at the base

Uh platinum nether ore i don’t know if we have any platinum uh we need an amplify on this guy item pickup cannot be augmented oh so we have to do this and then item pick up create there we go we got platinum now prosperity or i really should work on getting the uh

Armor for armor sometimes too and i’m not going to say first but sometime soon getting the armor because from uh ours nouveau it will be beneficial for us all right i need like out of here come on break that one oh my goodness i didn’t get mana fast enough

And i know yes i can hold shift and i won’t take damage from that anymore but what if i just vayne mine all this get out of here let me free i need out okay uh that really didn’t help us terribly too much we kind of need to head over here

And this is sketch i always hate doing this pillaring like this but it is what it is we gotta do what we gotta do to get free oh i thought i missed okay just following along what’s down here open air i’d like to get back to like

We’re like in it we’re in like a cave a ravine kind of area and i’d like to get back to like normalcy or something open air but i don’t know where where open air is gonna be oh and i can’t vein mine without a pickaxe uh so let’s go home we’re gonna

Get a pickaxe temp all right i’m gonna go grab a pickaxe we’ll come back i’m gonna do some more exploration off camera you guys don’t need to see me just digging through uh if i find anything interesting we’ll come back all right well no fortress but there’s

This thing oh my goodness he came in here with me oh my goodness what is this he’s throwing things at me just just died straddler he’s throwing he’s throwing guys at me what the heck he just came at me out of nowhere i’m trying to figure out like i need to get

Down here there’s another one of those temples so that’s where i’m trying to head as safely as i can uh if you look on the map in the uh mini map you can see i died i uh jumped into some lava luckily i had time to put

My way stone down um so that when i jumped into the lava i was able to come back to my corpse pretty easily so it wasn’t like a big deal or anything just slightly annoying i do not care for this biome that we’re in right now which is the uh

Basalt deltas which is a vanilla biome correct i believe that’s a new vanilla biome uh yeah not my favorite in the world but we’re definitely gonna come into here and break into this thing and you know get the loot that’s gonna be found in here just make sure i don’t trip any wires

Oh this is kind of deep this one’s larger than the other one was isn’t it checking for string let’s not do that let’s come over here break that we’re gonna take the string of course uh we’re gonna fill in the holes of lava we’re gonna break the red stone so nothing happens there

And we’re to try and grab the really these vines being in the way stopped me from being able to access the dispenser uh we’re going to break that one oh excuse me that was rude oh goodness i’m stuck where’s my i’m gonna die i i i don’t know what happened there i

Broke that tripwire is that does that release the lava is that what happened and then remember lava flows faster in the nether so i i didn’t even have a chance really to react it just kind of started flowing right at me and i couldn’t get out of

The way um but yeah there’s a lot obviously lava flow does what’s going on what’s going on what’s going on why did i start taking damage when i got in here um yeah did that dispenser dump lava is that what happened huh interesting it i think it it must have

That’s the only thing i can think of for hawaii we started taking damage from the lava uh so we’ve got some redstone some blaze gold unbreaking four looting three these are fantastic stone swords doesn’t really help me you know damage-wise or anything but you know we can strip the

Enchants off of it hopefully somehow apotheosis is in this pack that it has the ability to do that doesn’t it i know it does a lot of enchanting stuff so uh we’re just gonna bust into here i’m pretty sure there is a proper way to do this with uh you know those levers

And everything but why do it the proper way when we can just you know break in oh my increases the length of invincibility after taking damage equip uh i like that so when you take damage you become invincible i didn’t know that’s a thing like there’s immunity frames and that’s

Saying that it increases the immunity frames a starbuckle that’s new from ours i’ve never heard of a starbuckle before the carbuncle absolutely but not a starbuckle tripwire hooks let’s throw all this stuff in here all this enchanted stuff uh let’s see just clearing out inventory somewhat and then from here we have another

Banana i’m a little nervous to eat that but of course you know we’re going to absolutely crimson iron ingots gold ingots uh we’ll take the repeater and we’re gonna eat these no we can’t eat another bananas because i have my auto feed well we’ll eat them at some

Other point terra cotta can go away we’ll keep basil just in case red nether bricks we’re getting rid of blackstone will keep netherrack will keep okay cool um but i need to continue exploring and find ourselves again another fortress we’re finding all kinds of things but not any of the

Things that we actually want and or need to find what happened here this is where i broke in and there’s a gas right there get it okay cool let’s see if that gas dropped a tear that would be nice if he would if he did but it doesn’t look like it okay so

Let’s pull up our map and another fortress no there’s a spawner i guess i guess we could head where are we we are here we could head towards the spawner though it is surrounded by a lot of lava which is going to be a little bit sketch but in uh i think

My um what there was a playthrough that i did i can’t remember which one it is i think it was better minecraft where that was um it was a blaze spawner there which is what we need we need blazes and if it is a blaze spawner it actually will work

Out pretty well for us because we can you know it’s in a box steam kind of area so we can continue to use that box it off and then be able to fight them easily so the only other reason we need to get to another fortress is for wither skeletons

If we can come back there and do that maybe maybe we’ll have some form of a flight so we can fly around instead of having to do this um i think isn’t iron jet packs in here jet pack yes iron jet packs is in the pack so we could

Start working on getting ourselves a jet pack i’m gonna add that to the to-do list again we don’t have power but we’re at a point where we could probably start working on some sort of power uh get into immersive engineering and get get power that way um

You know we got we have a couple options for it we can get a reactor set up i don’t know how much intense that’s going to be to get like a three by three or five by five reactor from extreme reactors but we have we have options okay so that spawner should be

It’s up there it’s that way no we’re not gonna be able to get to that are we not easily it seems uh what i can do is jump down here and if we leap it negates most of the fall damage which is great i’m looking for that spawner and it’s oh gosh oh

What are you oh a drop bear aren’t these like modeled after like a koala isn’t a koala also known as the drop bear my in a different playthrough that i did someone had mentioned how that’s that’s what those are for no oh i almost the shield messed me up it almost

Stopped me from being able to make that jump oh my gosh can you just like get out of here thank you yeah that spawner is that way so it’s above us it’s either above us or directly below us that’s not gonna help help without without proper flight it really

Makes this difficult um let’s go ahead and pull up the big map and again still look no fortress to be found anywhere in this area we do have another um spawner that way but i have to i mean i need to cross this lava lake

My best way to do that is going to be to go above and do it from up here and just like do it like you know this bam and then i can excavate one by two and we can go that way and get nothing out of it okay so we can go

Up a little bit higher and by a little bit we’ll go up by like four or five blocks and then try it then we can excavate that way there we go now we have some sort of pathway in there otherwise we’re gonna have to go way up

But that does look like that’s gonna be our best option either that or i can pillar straight a clock straight across i do have the netherrack available to me i could just go across but i i heard a ghast if i run into a gas things are going to get

Very very uh sketch very quickly i normally i would uh cut and stop the recording but i want y’all to be in as much suspense as i am doing this because oh god help us oh where is he i didn’t even see it oh there he is oh my gosh you’re so far

Away how are you attacking i can’t even see you hit him ah come on i have to guide this spell so far got him sucker you can’t mess with me i’m the andrada that’s right please please don’t quote me on that any other future casts and then somebody blow me up

My heart dropped a little bit with that ghast i do not like the same i am i do not like green eggs and ham and or pillering across the nether uh if we don’t find this by the way this episode what i’ll do is in between episodes i will go find

The nether because this is two episodes of nether exploration that we’ve had now and really only ever come across those little temples which is not the most engaging of content just watching me pillar like this so i’ll go find another fortress or blaze spawner in between episodes and then we can you

Know we can move on with our lives and get into other things so just want to throw that out there because we are coming to the end of this episode uh and yeah that’s that’s where we’re at we’re almost there the end is in sight

I just don’t want any more gas i don’t want that guy who throws stuff at me my pinky is starting to hurt from crouching that that walk scared me i know i’m not going to fall off because i am crouched but still it it it’s still a little sketch you know

I wish cork was in this pack because i could do i could i could do this a lot easier okay we’re getting there we’re getting there what are we even coming over here for again i don’t remember there’s a there’s a spawner that’s out in this direction that’s what it was

Can i leap to victory now i probably can oh by the way they removed speed no more speed seven for me and when i’m exploring things it’s a little unfortunate whew i was a little scared there okay so we’re gonna head this way and i’m gonna i’m gonna break all these bone

Blocks as we go because that’s good stuff to have and uh are you dangerous you’re just water okay cool you’re you’re nether water it looks like blood though it actually kind of looks really cool i like how i’m like are you dangerous and i jump into it to figure it out i

Mean there’s only one way to know is to you know expose myself to the random poisonous liquid falling from the sky all right matt where is that spawner um Didn’t i say there was one over in this direction you’re a lava and then you’re surrounding a piece of bedrock apparently oh wait we passed it let’s go back this way we passed the spawner which makes me wonder where where is it because i don’t remember seeing anything if it’s

Above me that’s going to be kind of a pain it’s this way it’s below it’s either below or above i’m going to go with probably above because i don’t think there’s much below us obviously i’m not gonna dig straight down but we’re gonna i’m trying to just see if i can see

Below us i mean it’s solid down here oh i did it again let’s stand on this and then just vein mine huh it’s over this way now i really don’t know where this thing is and it’s kind of like light would be so nice for this

And just vein mined all the way over to here and there is nothing yeah we’re we’re just in netherrack there’s no there’s no opening or anything for us let’s go back up top and i’m gonna say that this thing is probably above us if that’s the case that i’m not finding it now

But could it be above us like i mean we are at y level 50 and we have quite a while to go all right all right we’re just going to move on from that then we’re not going to worry about it it’s it’s here but where who

Knows and i’m not gonna you know keep digging around trying to find it like we should like be almost directly on it we have another gas floating around i’m sure he’s gonna aggressive soon get him oh okay he ran away he was too scared too scared of us hoglands are you kidding me
