All The Mods Volcano Block EP7 Mob Farm Madness

I’m chosen architect and this is all the mods volcano block that’s right the day where we now reset back up our mob farms and make ourselves a really nice set of mob Farms one that is passive and one that is going to be hostile that’s right we’re gonna have

Just about anything we need as far as entity goes coming directly from our base here and that even includes wither skeletons here in the future because we should be able to convert them because we have X nahilo in which water given that it actually works now as you can

See I am underneath our platforms because I think this is going to give us some nice space to sort of hide these ugly Farms I think that mob Farms are typically probably the most they’re some of the most atrocious looking Farms that you can build I usually like to put them

In a compact machine or tuck them away and so placing it down here in our structure is going to be a nice place for this I think um and uh hopefully isolate the sound a little bit uh we can muffle things with our muffle but um I think this is going

To be a pretty decent spot for this now notice here this is not even when I built this I didn’t build build this Center piece to be symmetrical in any way um outside of the the sides of course those are symmetrical but these are not

Um so I’m placing it on the outer side that has the most space because I want at least a five by five worth of space interior wise for the mob farm and then I have this Outer Edge that is going to border the uh the mob farm that’s going

To go in the center now to put this in perspective right here I’m going to go ahead and set up the outer border uh and this should leave us with a 5×5 space interior wise or our dirt now this outside is most likely going to be some

Sort of glass a dark Glass Tinted glass which we should have because we have plenty of charcoal right so this leaves us with a 5×5 interior and that is going to go for both the Hostile and the passive mob farm so I now have set up my

Basic Chambers I just need to get glass in I think I’m gonna use dark glass for both of them even though the passive mob farm is not going to need a glass it’s not going to need that kind of glass so you’d be fine with regular glass because

It can stay lit up however the Hostile mob farm works better when it is darker and it may not even work at all that is going to be one of the things I’ve got to figure out is I want to use these lamps these flare lanterns but I don’t

Think I’ll be able to use the flare lanterns at least on the side that I have my hostile mob farm um because it’ll just be too bright it’s just going to put light sources everywhere and I can’t have that now at the start of the pack you’re given a

Little bit of dreadful dirt uh and you’re given also a little bit of delightful dirt as you can see right here there’s the Dreadful dirt and then in the quest uh up above with the seeds you also get delightful dirt um but we now need to make our own

Because I have broken those and once you break them well they’re gone like they’re just gone unless you have silk touch so how do I go about making them well that is going to involve me getting into a mod called mob grinding utils and

I have used this mod a lot I am super familiar with it and the first thing we need to do to get started with it is well first we need to uh killed Enderman because we need Eyes of Ender in order to make this XP drain I would say

There’s an easier way to do this but there’s really not unless you build yourself a normal mob farm and you somehow manage to collect the XP into some sort of tank you’re not gonna you’re gonna have a you’re gonna have a bad day I think uh getting into this but

Right here we can go ahead and make the uh the thing that we’re gonna need to get the XP and that is going to be the XP drain Singularity tank which is how you get started in this mod uh so once we have this we can then place it down

And it doesn’t really matter I think down here I’m just going to place it down uh in a corner and when I stand on it it’s going to drain all of my XP and convert it into fluid into this tank and this is where we get our buckets of XP

Because ultimately we need to make these uh these eggs a rotten egg for the Hostile mob farm and a golden egg or the passive mob farm making that dirt that we were given uh and the the Hostile one is going to require the cursed GM chicken feed this stuff right here and

It requires the buckets of experience and also some of the basic materials that you should have gotten from your early game mob farm it also a seed and then for the nutritious which is going to be the passive well you just need some crops and of course still more buckets of your

XP and that is going to be gained from this and it doesn’t take a lot of XP I’m just like draining all that I have right now it doesn’t take a lot of it because uh one bucket as you can see right here uh we’ve barely drained any of our

Experience and we already have this whole tank almost filled with over 20 buckets worth here we go one two three and four oh that sound is so satisfying because it means one of the biggest things in Skyblocks is about to be solved one of the biggest problems and

That is just building a mob farm so here is the passive and then of course the exact same operation should happen with the Hostile so back to mob and we’ll make the cursed now this feed does not work on its own we have to feed it to a chicken well both

Of them have to be fed to chickens and well thankfully chickens just spawn all over the place so I do have some basic chickens here inside of a net uh I don’t know if it’ll work on a sand chicken or or what have you I guess we

Could test it out will it work so we just give the feed to the chicken and it does work and the chicken goes poof yes this is the the most meme thing about this this whole mod is this right here oh man and of course the happy birthday Darko

Oh man you gotta love good old Darko style now I’m gonna tuck these eggs away for right now put them in my bag and save them for later because once we click this on the dirt it is going to spread it’s going to to cover the 5×5 area and then everything’s gonna start

Spawning so we need to prep the spawn area before we just let things just spawn all over the place we need to deal with this so that way we don’t get ourselves killed now I’m working on getting all of the the ingredients together but of course I cannot just

Skip over one of my favorite blocks in modded Minecraft and that is this block right here from Mob grinding utils tinted glass it just looks so good it is like my favorite glass block ever I mean you just can’t get over it like this thing looks so nice it is a frameless

Glass it darkens everything behind it if you put lights behind it it gives us this really like ambient glow effect oh it’s just so good it was the thing before tinted glass existed right so uh it works really well it’s weatherproof and it looks really really good in the

Mob farm setup now for all of my storage needs I think what I’m going to do is I’m gonna have a storage controller that is going to be linked to all of these drawers that you see right here and this is something that I just figured out uh

Is that I can have myself a controller here and a link to the same network without needing to use another controller because we’re going to be putting items into this right we can use a controller extension to extend the functionality of this controller and it and it work wirelessly

Um so that is kind of cool uh and so what we need to do is we need to just simply select our Network which is just right clicking this and then add this to the network like it was another drawer um so we should be able to anyways maybe it uh

Has a has a distance that I’m not reaching see that works oh maybe it’s too far away oh I was hoping that it wouldn’t be too far away but it seems like it is so now that does normally work but it does seem like this exceeds the range limit so

Instead I’m just going to use two separate controllers and uh we’ll just have one side that is linked to one set of controllers and the other side that’s linked to the other so we can have like the passive mob farm and then the Hostile mob farm sort of in their own

Separate drawer Network so I’ll just simply make sure I’m selected and then we’ll unselect these uh I don’t know exactly how do you unselect I don’t know how the unselection process works uh but I think just breaking this we’ll reset the connection I think I don’t know

Yeah it does it does appear to be so that controller is linked and let’s just do like um let’s do the right side for each of these so this side will this reach yep it reaches and then we’ll control to select this network and then we’ll link that to this side of course

These will probably need to be expanded also there’s different modes that you can put this in uh you can put to multiple mode and then you can of course drag and connect for larger inventories you’ll have to individually click everything now another thing we probably want connected

To these inventories is going to be the Armory cabinet uh and and we probably want one on each it’s going to require another ride Ingot which we definitely have now so yeah this Armory cabinet is 100 worth it as this is going to provide us access to storing things like armor

And all of the stuff that takes up so much space in our uh storage drawers and it’s not even good to technically store it in things like refined storage or applied energistics now we should be able to add this I think right swap action to remove okay so it does not

Necessarily go right in there so okay so these cabinets not being directly connectable which seems kind of weird because from the same mod right um that’s going to be a little bit more difficult to set up as we can’t just directly add this okay so we’ll just

Need to just send the items in now what is going to go here is an absorption Hopper and this is going to connect to this inventory in this inventory to send the items into the storages and also send it into the cabinet by the way the cabinet is only going to accept items

That are non-stackable so things like potions armor all that fun stuff so the absorption Opera is going to be what collects the items so we need to tell it where to send so I’m just gonna say items on the let’s see items on the down let’s do items on the west

So now we know uh what direction the West is facing and items is what we want uh also on the up we want that to be items as well and then probably over here we’re gonna have a tank of some sort that’s going to be storing uh the

XP and then very similar to this we’ll have East items and up items and there we go now they’re both connected now doing it this way doesn’t necessarily provide um priority which is very important sometimes uh but once we have these drawers filtered uh it’s it’s only going

To have one place to go anyways so setting up Priority for this isn’t necessarily important and when I say priority I’m meaning like which direction it chooses to put the items into first a lot of mods add support for that and uh yeah this unfortunately we

Don’t have control over what we do have control over on the other hand is where this is actually picking items up so we do need to show the area and we need to move this around until we get it into the area that we want specifically and

So I’m gonna set this to fit this box perfectly uh and so we shouldn’t have to worry about accidentally having our items picked up and pulled into the system we really don’t want that happening now I think at this point I’m just about ready to get this going and I

Think I want to start with my passive Farm first uh this is kind of important because well I don’t want mobs responding all over the place and killing me because that’d be pretty bad so I want to do some testing I want to see if Vector plates will actually work

On this dirt that we’re about to generate as I’ve not really been able to test this uh you know in a long time so uh I want to see will Vector plates work if not then we just need to figure out a solution to break the grass because if

Grass grows on delightful dirt well it causes a problem the mobs won’t grow anymore uh and so I’m hoping that they they still work on this let’s go ahead and get the at least the passive mobs in so there we go so that’s gonna get started uh will the passive mobs

Spawn even if there’s Vector plates as you can see the grass is already growing I’m just wondering if they’re gonna spawn on this stuff because that’s kind of important we need this by the way if you hold a Crouch it allows us to work I just have a

Feeling that they they just won’t this won’t they won’t spawn on this um and I’m gonna have to go at a killing spree to get all these mobs out of here yep yep yep all right so do they still spawn that’s what I want to know

Um so the best thing to do is to well let’s get all these guys out of here and see if any more spawned because it’s looking like that is a big astounding no oh oh maybe those chickens weren’t in there so I will see let’s see nope does not appear to be spawning

Anything and I don’t think there’s like a mob limit so we might have to end up using fans and coming up with a creative solution for getting rid of the grass now since I went ahead and placed all these in here well breaking them I need to hurry up and place water in

There we go and uh I can work with this because water will also prevent the mobs from spawning and I think water might ultimately be the thing that we use to uh clear out the grass that grows so that way this is constantly working now I also have another album and that’s the

Wixies spawning and I’m gonna need a way to get rid of the wixies when they spawn and I think what I’m gonna do is uh I’m gonna place a lava layer up top and uh that should hopefully keep the wixies and and kill them when they go up top so

Here we go I’m gonna grab a bucket of lava this will at least solve the wixie problem and hopefully we don’t end up dying to this one blade of lava should be plenty if I place it right here and that should hopefully fill the entire area yeah that should fill the

Entire area so when the wixies go to fly up uh oh I’m gonna have to put it over here because it doesn’t expand um I’m going to put it in each Corner that also might be a better better solution to this yeah when they fly up this should hopefully take care of them

Because they can become quite a nuisance filling up your passive mob farm now I think for this I’m gonna use a very simple little solution to this it’s going to be a double tick that is going to initiate the dispenser and of course the dispenser is going to have a bucket

Of water in it uh but we need to double tick this block and so we are going to need a block that receives a redstone signal and we can send this Cobblestone the Redstone signal and uh that should pulse um so down here I’ve built off of course

You can just drop water to get down uh very easily and so we need to set up a double pulse Redstone clock now we should be able to get away with two Hoppers going into one another and then comparator reading from that this will make a very basic clock however it can

Be kind of an expensive clock because you need to go to the nether or in this case you need to have sieved to get Quartz for that comparator but in this case this will make a clock if we put an item in here very simple Redstone clock uh and it does pulse the

Perfect amount of time uh whenever we have ourselves something like this setup that locks it and then a redstone signal gets sent so if we lock this Hopper it’s gonna stop uh but if we were to turn this torch off by giving it a signal via such things as a timer for example

Uh if I can get this timer to go in the right direction here we go it will toggle this off actually we may need uh something to extend this pulse because it may not be enough to toggle this off uh let’s get a repeater real quick now

We can give this a go and see if this will work uh usually you need to extend off the basic timer because sometimes it’s a little too fast uh as you can see there so there we go we got this flipped let’s delay it a little bit more because

It’s going a little too fast and what we actually need is this so one pulse from this uh let’s set this to like I don’t know every 60 or so when this pulses this should give us enough uh to tick this twice I believe uh so let’s see let’s see if this

Actually functions or not uh I could be wrong we may have to do some tweaking I do need to give this a bucket um let’s see can I I’m gonna have to clear this this particular bucket all right let’s just make another bucket right there we go and that should hopefully

Pull that water in and back out this is gonna cause a bunch of mobs passive mobs to spawn all over the place let’s see pulled it and places it but we needed to tick twice and uh do that pretty quickly hmm so this I believe is where we’re

Actually going to need a pulse extender because we’re gonna need to extend the pulse that is being sent uh instead of this repeater and we’re gonna need this pulse to be a little bit longer than it currently is um so we can we should be able to right

Click this and select how many ticks we want this to actually be delayed and it’s gonna need to be a bit more than what it currently is oh and I don’t know the exact amount that something ticks are you working is it working there’s so many mobs it’s pulling and then placing

Pulling and placing so it is doing it in a single cycle so now what we need to do is I think at the current tick rate of 16 which seems to be working we need to just set this to like 120 it really needs to be higher than 120

But just to test for right now and then we need to invert this by just taking the water when this picks it up and we need to pull that out all right and put it back in and now it should put the water in and then pull it back out

Perfect and that right there on a higher delay will definitely get rid of that grass also while I’m down here I might as well pick up a cow so we always have one and then I can go ahead and scoop up some milk that is needed or one of our

Setups that we set up last episode which goes over here and the milk goes into that slime yeah I have just a little bit of a mess on my nothing crazy or anything like that uh I need to go ahead and actually get these mob fans set up

Um and so I’m gonna have one here and two here and it’s gonna be the same on the other side oh you gotta love this so these fans are gonna push these mobs they’re gonna push them perfect like just like we need it uh this is gonna need two expansions

That’s going to make the area fit this whole Space making it uh work in the 5×5 and these are gonna just push everything to the central location which is going to be a mob Masher that is upgradable by the way and mobs that interact with this well they’re gonna get heated well

Killed yeah they’re gonna get annihilated as soon as I put the levers on here and I turn this on oh boy so let me turn this fan on and the mobs should get pushed Oh wait we’re gonna have to put uh we’re gonna put a solid block above these because these will not

Interact with the Redstone so let’s see I’m gonna I’m gonna get some concrete so yeah there’s just mobs everywhere this is the worst this is why I don’t normally test these things in this condition oh so now mountains on they should work don’t walk into this by the way I’ll

Turn this fan on that pushes even me quite quite far and then if we turn these on oh we should have that working perfect now okay and we can see this is completely filled none of these are locked though so we really need to let this sort of

Figure its own thing out and figure out what all needs to go in and where I am definitely going to cover this up and I’m going to clean up this huge mess that is this mob farm as of right now look at these mobs they’re just

Everywhere there we go this is not good these things don’t burn in the lava meaning when they all fall off like this they’ll just never despawn oh that’s not good so that also seems to be that the wixies also do not die to the lava oh no

See I definitely need to fix this and I think I can use a fan up top to below the Wicks he’s down and that might initiate them dying they are dying every now and then uh but this might help this should not be this hard it should not oh

This is uh this is a lot yeah don’t make a mistake like this is why I mean of course I’m testing it but like there’s a lot going on here and can I activate that there we go so hopefully this will push them when they fly around this

It’ll push them down and force them into it that’s the goal and hopefully that’s enough to keep them all sustained in there and now I have to clean this mess up I’ve got to clean all of these mob drops and get all of this fixed oh

Goodness I I really need like an emote that’s like me wiping the sweat off my brow because this mom Farm has literally been that thankfully though the Hostile mom Farm is not as complicated it’s literally going to be as simple as just placing a couple of things down setting

Up the same sort of fan minus the one on the top and we will have this all set up I this one’s way way easier to do yeah for this one all we have to do is just simply place in our redstone block place in the mob masher and this Farm is

Pretty much ready to go we just need to click on the right block which is going to be this one then we have our mobs now it is I think too bright in there right now uh but and then this indoor activator is going to go in the front

That prevents Enderman from teleporting out but I think that’s a that should be it now we of course need to get rid of these lights and I think the biggest culprit is of course this one right here that I’m going to need to remove and there we go

As soon as I removed it they are now spawning and so uh we just need to probably brighten this up with our own methods uh similar to uh yeah up here we’re gonna have to just light it up with something else look at him there’s people need the same setup where it

Pushes them down oh and these guys are so dangerous to work with you know what just because of that I’m gonna turn this on and uh let this light this area back up because my goodness that is not fun to deal with you know I think simulating

The same sort of fan setup on the top as the bottom except this right here is blowing down is going to be the best way to do that also would have been suitable for this one this requires a lot of fans my goodness so we can turn everything on now and this should

Take care of those mobs as well which are incredibly dangerous and uh should definitely not be uh not be left just lingering in here you really don’t want mobs just floating around in your uh your base uh or inside your mob Farms so there we go

That should work and then we should also make sure to put this on here so that way the Enderman do not teleport around so this should be a better mom Farm now and should be running great now we just gotta work on fixing our storage oh yeah and also this

Farm does not work without light where the other one works with light so we definitely need to get some sort of light in here and make sure that uh stays running now with our mob Farms there is something that I do want to test out and that is from ours and

That is going to be the vitalik source link I need to get some melon slices made of course after growing myself some melons we should be ready to go to try and make at least two of these um so I’m gonna grab that and there we

Go so two of these These are vitalik Source links and if they work the way they say the wiki works on them we should be able to generate source from this and send it to jars and as you can see it does work basically the what it’s checking for is either mob grow

Via um uh breeding or it’s looking for mop death and uh it does generate source from Mob death that’s pretty powerful now that we have our mob Farms up and running there’s still one more thing that I want to do and that is well make some snow and some

Ice uh now ice I already have compact ice which is kind of nice allows you to get into thermal if you want to do it this way or you can use alchemistry this is an atomizer pretty easy to make that and this is a compactor which is pretty

Easy to make if we set these next to each other um I can go ahead and fill this with water the itemizer and the atomizer is then going to turn that water into its base components this is very chemistry based but it’s really nice so this gives

Us H2O gives us some water and if we put that water in here we can choose ice or if we set it up we should be able to pick what actually we want this is where the control o comes into play and this is the recipe station so

I’m going to choose snowballs instead and so that is now selected and then when I put the water in I it should be able to select automatically the Snowballs come on override lock recipe snowball quit uh let’s unlock set snow lock there we go now it’s locked to snow and then we

Can go ahead and make snow perfect and I’m just needing a snow block for our R setup and then we have everything set up for all of the RS Essences and that truly is what I want I just want to have access to all of those ready to go and

So heading over here all I need to do is put the last thing in and Bam and then just set my filter and then apply my puller upgrade and as you can see we have all of our Essence set up and these Essences are incredibly powerful so getting them going as soon

As possible like we’re doing here is going to be a game changer later on especially when we start creating our spells with arsening valve so now there’s one final thing that needs to be done and here which this is technically sending to this and I need to right click on

This to take the position and send it through the ground and hopefully it will reach into this which it should it’s 30 blocks and then I just need to take this and send it two I think I need to send it to a distributor because I don’t think this will actually

Go to multiple right no it’ll only go to the one that you have it linked to which means I need to use a different kind of relay and so for this I’m actually going to need a splitter instead of what this currently is and this is kind of interesting what

This is going to do uh it requires one two three or lapis or nether quartz and then this will operate the way that I was thinking it was going to so we just upgrade that real quick and then it should be able to split into multiple jars like I was wanting

Perfect and it’ll still accept in the same fashion as well so we put this up top I can stand up here I have to go up there but that’s where I have it uh all routed to and so I’ll just select the position again this time sending it here and hopefully

I can then now select and then select that jar select that jar and now it’s splitting select this jar this jar and this one and then also these two that are up there and that should make this all go a lot faster it is a lot that’s going everywhere

But it should work and it should start to accelerate her Essence production boy oh boy do I feel satisfied after today we definitely got ourselves a strong footing and uh we should be able to progress quite nicely now through most mods now that we have all the resources

We could probably ever want with a combination of ours and also now a mob farm I think we are set and also all of our storages are now full I think that’s going to be our biggest solution moving forward our biggest problem moving forward is just more storage but we
