Hello everyone and today i want to show you how to use mcp reborn so you can look at the same code that i was looking at in my last video where i showed you how closet connectivity works so anyway the first thing you want to do is to search Mcp reborn and click on the first link which is the github now um you can read all this stuff so obviously i can’t publish any code generated by this tool so anyway now you just select which version you want so by default it’s 1.16 you may know that 1.17 is already released I’m guessing that they didn’t update it yet but anyway if you wanted an older version you can pick it out of these so they have starting with 1.13 but anyway now you just want to download code and yeah just download zip next uh you want to unzip that and place It in your desktop alright so now you have your mcp reborn thing in your desktop so now basically you want to just open up intellij ideas so i’m going to be using intellij idea if you’re using something else you can certainly follow along and recommend it because intellij idea is A little bit different some of the steps may be specific to intellij idea but overall it should be the same but still i would recommend follow the written version of this which is on the mcp reborn github alright so now you open up intellij idea And what you want to do is you want to open our import so that’s going to open up your finder and now you want to go to your desktop now you want to click on your mcp reborn folder and now inside the mcp report for you want to click build.gradle And you want to open that and then you want to open it as a project so that it actually builds your project all right so once you imported it as a project then you should see the sort of screen that means everything is good it’s starting to Build right and now once you see this green check mark over here it says it’s finished um next we’re almost done you want to go over here to the right and you see this very little sort of button says gradle and just click this next go to tasks and then mcp And then click setup double click setup and now everything is setting up so it’s generating the source files all right so it might take a few minutes uh you have to be patient for me it took about three minutes it would depend on your system so anyway Once you see this green check mark again then it should be all ready now you can open up this mcp reborn folder and in source main java net minecraft and then you have all your classes so where i was actually looking at in the last video you can close It down now where i was looking at was the piston block class and you can actually find pretty much anything in the code here so and for example this is piston block and this is the code for the piston block class and here is the line of code that makes It bub power so anyway uh this is actually a lot easier in my opinion than the whole process with mojang’s de-obfuscation maps and what’s actually even better is that here if you go back to the gradle you see there’s a run client option and here’s run client If you double click that then it will start compiling everything for you and pretty much building this whole thing and then it’ll launch you minecraft right so now this has been launched this is minecraft um and it will actually implement all of your changes that you made so if you made any changes Then then it’ll work here if you made a change that breaks minecraft then it will just crash on startup and it wouldn’t start up for example here you can see right now blood powering completely works cause the connectivity now if i go over here and change something a little bit And i save it and then i run client again by the way once you ran it one time then you can just click this green button here you just want to make sure that the configuration is set to run client but now you can just click that little Green button alright so now this is launching with the changes that i made i just made one little change if you noticed what it is then that’s great but anyway now i’m here and you can see quasi connectivity actually doesn’t work anymore so anyway guys it’s going to be For today i really hope you find this video helpful if you want to see more stuff like this make sure to subscribe and i’ll see in the next one bye Video Information

A quick tutorial on how to use MCP-Reborn to view and edit and be able to run Minecraft’s source code. How to make modifications like Dream! (just kidding, I’m not actually sure what he uses). Anyway, it’s even simpler than using Mojang’s obfuscation maps, and it comes with the added bonus that you can edit and run it!
