Ancient City Exploration! | 1.19 Minecraft Let’s Play | Ep 22

In last episode we built this cozy little Shepherd’s house that I am completely obsessed with and in today’s episode I am going to be exploring an ancient city now if you are enjoying this series and you haven’t subscribed yet then please consider subscribing that would mean so much to me and let’s

Go ahead and jump on into the episode like I said in between episodes I did go ahead and breed up the sheep and I did Shear them and I collected a whole bunch of wool but I spread them out throughout the pins and it actually looks like

They’re ready to I don’t want to say Harvest that sounds bad it looks like they’re ready to go ahead and share so I guess I’m gonna go ahead and do that I tried to make them all white and gray I don’t know it just kind of felt like

Very neutral sheep colors but it seems like a couple of them kind of escaped me whenever I was going around and dying all of them so we have one purple one and then like a light blue one one full Harvest of the sheet pins actually gives

Me quite a lot of wool so I’m not complaining I quite like this method and of course I could continue reading them up so I think I would like to go ahead and start building kind of like an ancient city shulker box all of the supplies that I’m going to need for the

Ancient city oh okay I guess we have a floating ancient city shulker box but if we look in this chest I have so much wool so I think I’ll probably bring more than I need honestly just to be safe another thing I’m going to need is some more

Food and then also some potions of night vision also in between episodes I’ve started to grind for the beacon so I have some Emerald blocks and also some iron blocks so I will continue to do that because I plan on getting a beacon here pretty soon okay what do I need for

Potion of night vision it looks like I’m going to need to make an awkward potion first and then use these golden carrots oh and look I apparently have three potions of weakness ready to go and some water bottles I think I’m going to make more than three so I need to make some

More water bottles luckily I have plenty of glass I don’t really know how many I’m gonna need maybe I should make nine potions that’s probably more than I’m going to need but I think I’d rather have more than I need than not enough use a little well to fill up all the

Water bottles water bottle is such a hard like two words for me to say honestly I should probably have two Brewing stands going why didn’t I think about that that’s probably a good idea to do so I’ll go ahead and start cooking that up and I think I have some more

Brewing stands in the storage building now that we have a second burn stand this process can be a lot faster we have three potions of night vision and I believe that if I add Redstone Dust to it then it’s going to make it last for eight minutes instead of three yep

Perfect also I put the little Dragon’s egg here forever ago like right after we fought the dragon uh we should probably figure out a better place for it oh oh I did not mean to do that okay well um let’s play the game where did the

Dragon’s egg go okay right there uh I kind of need a torch in order to get that again I did not mean to do that honestly I didn’t even know if I right clicked on it that it would just kind of teleport in some random area it looks

Like tonight we’re sleeping in our little baby Tower up here it’s kind of fun like taking advantage of the random beds that I put all around the base now we have so many potions of night vision next thing I need to do oh it looks like

We have pillagers why do we always have pillagers and I’m just going to leave that egg there too by the way uh just for now at least but the next thing we need to do is get some more food so I’m gonna go ahead and go on over to the

Village and just buy some golden carrots from them hello villagers do you have golden carrots for me yes you do and I’m probably going to bring just a few more just to be safe if I can find someone who sells them oh I also made over the storage room and made it nice

And cozy and yes it’s not really functional but I think it looks so much better than just having a bunch of empty chests everywhere I just love how this turned out but we have mostly everything that I think we’re going to need to explore the ancient city I think we have

Food we have wool we have potion of night vision we have our hoe which is going to be very handy I can’t think of anything else we’re going to need probably some torches though we had to be careful about placing the Torches I think that we can definitely go ahead

And grab a few what else do I need is that it I really hope that’s it I guess I’m going to go ahead and organize my hot bar and my inventory just a little bit oh I could bring some snowballs maybe we can go up to the mountain real

Fast and grab some snowballs I think that would be be pretty helpful I hope that this is good enough I want to make sure that I put plenty of potions and also wool actually in my inventory because I won’t really be able to place down a shulker box safely because the

Choker box could definitely set off the streakers and the sensors so I have to be careful about that but I guess I’m going to go ahead and go up here to the mountain and collect some snowballs they might come in handy I would rather have them in my inventory and they actually

Be useful to me then wish I had them oh no this is a silk touch Shuffle so it’s not going to be super useful when it comes to collecting snowballs how do I collect snowballs do I have to have a shovel back to the base this is better

Oh I don’t want to make it ugly I guess it’s too late it’s going to be ugly oh I forgot that snowballs only come in stacks of 16 and not 64. so that’s probably enough snowballs I didn’t want to clutter up my inventory too much and

I yes it’s time to go ahead and go to the ancient city I really really hope I have everything I guess we’ll find out once we get there though now I think the ancient city is over here in this mountain I took a screenshot of the Cornet so I

Should probably check that out oh I kind of want to look in this hole real fast though oh I’m surprised how I did that so safely honestly oh look down there that probably goes down pretty deep though I really don’t want to necessarily explore the caves too much I

Really just want to go to the ancient city I need to go to negative 578 negative 42 and then negative 8.50 so it’s really not that far away from here oh some emeralds but if I dig straight down here then I should find it I guess

I’m gonna go ahead and get these orders because I don’t want to just leave them I do have my shulker box so it’ll be fine I also didn’t bring a water bucket probably should have done that okay I guess we’re digging it straight down from here oh

Already found a little cave hmm maybe we can just go down this way I’m gonna go ahead and take off the elytra and put on the chest plate oh creeper I just can’t leave these oars I just can’t do it so if I see any oars I’m

Gonna dig them up after getting two sacks of coal and some iron and some copper I’m going to dig down again finally at Deep slate so we’re getting pretty close now let’s just cross our fingers and hope that we don’t set off a Streaker by just digging wow this is a

Far raised down a lot of digging oh I’m at Bedrock okay well I must have literally they just missed it oh I found it okay perfect this is exactly where I was whenever I first found the ancient city so what I’m going to do is maybe make like a little safety

Area back here first I need to kind of clear on my inventory a little bit some of the stuff is garbage and I don’t even want it though like honestly I don’t care about all this granite and inside at least not now maybe at some point but

Now it’s not the time to worry about collecting granite and andesite now the question is do I want my lighter on or do I want my chest plate on so the Elijah would allow me to fly out of the ancient city quickly if I needed to but

Obviously the chest plate is going to provide me so much more protection I think at first I’m going to try to go for the chest plate I think that’s what I’m going to do and then if I want the elytra I will just keep it in my

Inventory and have it ready to go luckily we also have Swift sneak on so that’s pretty good I’m gonna go ahead and drink this potion of night vision and get a second one in the hot bar ready to go and now you all can see so much better I’m truly sorry that that

Video was so dark I didn’t realize it until it was too late that it was really really dark so I’m sorry this Swift snake is so nice and honestly with the potion of night vision it’s not as spooky you know hopefully we find lots of goodies here there’s a chest way up

There so we will definitely want to go up there and get that it’s really not even that scary with a potion of night vision okay there’s a Shrieker there tons of sensors so I’m just looking for other streakers around to see that if I were to break this one here is it going

To set off another Streaker or something like that I think I might be fine so let’s go ahead and go over here and oh I can’t even touch those that’s the thing and break this okay we’re good and let’s see what we got uh sharpness five some lead Some

Coal bottle of enchanting a diamond hoe fire protection I don’t care about fire protection honestly Fire Protection One go ahead and splash these okay oh and let’s keep on going I had to make sure I’m crouching use the wool to pillar up if I need to oh and there’s another one

Okay there are two shriekers so this is where it gets a little bit difficult I honestly don’t know the best way to go about this except I guess I could kind of like block one off from the rest of the sensors so that I don’t set it off

So if I place blocks right here I can block it off because I want to be able to break both of them but if I break one of them it’ll set off the sensor and set off this Streaker so I kind of have to

Block it off is this going to work or is it going to set off other ones I guess I’ll find now instead of one but so far so good and I don’t see any other shriekers so okay oh we set off one oh I don’t even know

Where it was at I didn’t mean to okay so that’s strike one where did we set it off at okay I have to be a little bit more careful now oh was it that one we probably set off the oh and that one up there okay oh diamonds that’s super cool

I really though do want to break all of the streakers that I can and I think if I break this one that it should be fine keyword should maybe block it off from like that sensor let’s just find out okay we’re good we are good and I need

To break that one up there too because I feel like I could easily forget about that one way up there and think that I had cleared out a bunch of them and I actually forgot one uh okay let’s try this okay we’re good now let’s kind of get a

Little peek oh diamonds too there’s more diamonds over there oh I’m like about to step on that let me go ahead and break this and this and this and probably get my wool back too because I don’t want to run out of wool and open the chest and

See what we got oh we have some of the sensors some Diamond horse armor swiftly too so I think that means we can get a swift sneak three now a candle music disc potion of regeneration that’s cool okay looks like we’re doing good so far we’ve only set off a Streaker one time

My goal is to not spawn the warden that is my goal oh there’s another Streaker okay we had to look around and see if there are any more around it though before we break it I think we’ll be okay I don’t think there are any shriekers

Around here let me take one more peek I think we’re good so I’m just going to go ahead and break that one and cross my fingers and see what’s in this chest oh my gosh so much Swift sneak and a saddle I mean honestly I don’t really need all this

Swift snake but I do want to get Swift snake three at least oh and I left my shoulder box over there why would I do that I guess I’m gonna go ahead and get rid of the candle sorry candle and here’s a nether Streaker look how scary

It is without the potion of night vision I guess I’ll drink it over here another one over here so that I don’t set anything off so I guess what I’m doing is whenever I see a Streaker I just look around and see if I can see any more streakers just

In case I break one and then set off another one so we have about two streakers around here it looks like and then we set wool to kind of block one off from the rest of the sensors and then we can break it I think

Yes perfect and then we can go over here and I think safely break that other one oh no not safely break it oh that was our second time this is so scary like this okay where did we set it off at it’s probably one like on top of

Something I feel like I always forget to look up that means if we set one off then if we open up that chest we could set that same one off again so we had to be really careful I don’t even know where it was I don’t see any streakers

From up here except like maybe this one over here did we really set that one off way over there I have no idea you really don’t have that many chances to make mistakes I guess what I will do is just play it safe and in case this chest and

Then open it oh that was a terrible idea oh why did I close it why would I close it that means I have to open it again we only have one more chance now we are most definitely spawning a warden there is no way that I’m going to be able to

Do this and not spawn a warden ah which one is being set off I don’t know I can’t believe I closed that chest too I mean I see shriekers but did I really like set a Streaker off way over here I don’t know I don’t like this also win

Because it’s definitely a guarantee not just a possibility that I’m going to spawn the ward in what am I going to do what do I do do I just run and then how do I get back in the city safely I don’t know okay let’s see what happens that’s

A terrible idea ah I’m so scared okay okay we did it we broke that one is this the one that we were setting off maybe I’m not sure look at the little baby warden so cute right here is this Streaker and then there’s another Streaker like down here yeah okay there

Are two shriekers I think I’m going to try to break this one first let’s try that worked perfect oh no oh no I don’t know where he’s at oh he’s over there oh there he is I didn’t mean to do that I was trying to break that sensor oh oh I’m so scared

I didn’t set my spawn why didn’t I set my spawn I don’t know I was TR in that safety area I was supposed to set my spawn and I forgot to do that okay it’s up here I’m gonna set my spawn real fast now there’s just a warden walking around

We love it we love to see it oh and apparently we’re going to sleep but my spawn is set so that’s good I guess and my shulker box is so full so that’s probably why I didn’t even bring it oh and I had to do another potion

Okay where is the warden I don’t see him uh I guess we’re exploring the ancient city with a warden on the loose hate that so much the thing is is that he can smell us too so we had to be very careful well I guess I better just like

Keep on like breaking shriekers right I mean at this point I’ve already spawned a warden so like what’s the harm in spawning like you know 10 more right that’s how that works it’s fine whoa okay there are two chests and three shriekers and I still don’t see him so I

Guess we better just like go down there and start breaking all the shriekers I also don’t hear him at all so I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing is this enough to not set off any sensors uh no that’s a no break it break it oh

Oh no another one spawned how did another one spawn I’m so scared oh we’re just setting off more because I’m running oh are there three I just oh my gosh he smells me he’s not doing anything though he’s just standing there is it because he’s like kind of stuck oh

My gosh and look there’s the other one over there what did he go back under though I’m going to die I’m gonna die there’s no way that I’m going to survive this do you think we can just get him from here right aren’t you curious don’t

You kind of just want to see what happens I know I do okay let’s first check over here and see like how safe this area is because I will obviously have to run so I don’t want to like run into anything bad and I want to check over here too oh

Oh I swear if a warden just like pops out of there like right there I’m I’m gonna cry then I quit Minecraft and I’m done with this world oh I have snowballs I didn’t even think about that is he gonna go to the snowball I I think

That’s a no I think that’s a no oh there he is okay I’m gonna shoot him with my arrow because I just want to see what happens oh I missed oh run run oh my gosh run run run run he’s really mad is he gonna come up here

I don’t know like he’s mad but can he actually do anything from over here [Applause] oh oh yes the answer is yes the answer is yes the answer is yes okay he can do something I swear if he comes around this corner I just need to like calm him down that’s what I need to do if I just hide here for a second maybe he won’t be

Able to smell me and he’ll be calmed down and then I can actually go in the ancient city or something he’s coming down I can hear the heartbeat slowing so I think that he’s not as mad anymore okay I’m going to Brave it what what is that noise did he despawn I

Think he despawned maybe I mean that’s pretty nice right well I guess I’m going to go ahead and break this Streaker okay and we set off another one he’s not gonna spawn right there is he oh I’m not doing a good job and I realized that he’s in my safety area now that’s

Not fair okay maybe I should go in the ancient city now maybe that’s the answer obviously explore the ancient city while like five different wardens are running around I actually don’t know how many there are oh okay here’s another little chest area so I see what is this three

Triggers are up inside of each other and then there’s another one here well I can break this one safely I feel like you’re just not meant to be able to break all the shriekers honestly are they sensors safe now yes they are so now maybe I can

Get these chests and with the shards Echo shards more of these little things I think I already have this disc yes so I don’t need that and I’m not going to grab anything else now this one sharpness 3 and Swift sneak 3 I don’t really like I don’t really need it

Anymore Swift snake three you know I guess I can replace the two for the three also it would be so cool to collect one of these skeleton heads so I’m gonna do that hello skeleton head cool that’s fun the new name of the game

Is to just open the chest as safely as I can and not worry about breaking all of the streakers I don’t think that’s what you’re actually supposed to do I don’t know why I was trying to break all of them because I don’t think that’s the

Best way to go about this oh diamonds I break these diamonds well I do so safely yes next let’s go over here to this little chest area I think right over this way is another chest area and then there’s another one somewhere too I think I’m safe to open up this chest no

The answer is no oh he spawned right there there wasn’t even anything good in that chest either a potion ran out okay I need more potions this is my last one in my inventory now if I open up the chest will I be safe yes I mean so far we have like lots

Of goodies but uh like how many Diamond horse armor do you actually need Oh I thought it was crouching oops oh and look there’s a geode that’s really cool well I kind of want to check out this little like portal thing here in the center um and see if there’s anything cool

There I can’t remember if there’s any kind of chest or anything like that a ton of candles there are so many candles here oh there is a chest uh if I open it will I spawn a warden maybe but we’re going to try it anyways one Golden Apple

A single Golden Apple thanks I did find some diamonds earlier I think around here so I should probably get those before I leave I feel pretty satisfied with how much I have explored the ancient city so if there’s anything that you personally want me to do with it

Then maybe I can do that or something oh at least two diamonds okay cool and then there’s another one some wear in like some tough or something like that oh there it is one Diamond I also know that there’s like a bunch of Secrets around here so oh okay okay

Time to leave time to leave okay here’s my little safety area let me go ahead and go here and get another potion where is the warden it’d be cool to kill a warden wouldn’t it oh there he is hello Warden is he looking at me he might be

Looking at me well anyways like I was saying I feel pretty satisfied with my ancient city exploration so if you want to see anything else with the ancient city then definitely let me know but honestly I don’t know what else it can offer me it is a lot of fun to explore

It though now let’s see what happens if we hit the warden from here oh I got him can he hit me from here I don’t know I think he’s still stuck over there oh okay well I killed him that’s cool right it only took me uh many many shots

To kill him but I did it um and it looks like I uh spread some Catalyst or whatever okay well I feel accomplished we killed a warden and we explored the ancient city even though that we massively cheesed that we did kill him which is cool I guess now I can say that

I’ve actually killed a warden but I guess from here I’m going to go ahead and head back home hopefully as safely as I can because I’m still in the deep dark just a little bit and I haven’t died by a warden which I’m really surprised I didn’t die I could have

Swore that I was for sure going to die well that was definitely a fun time I enjoyed that it’s always fun to explore in the ancient city they’re like the loot isn’t really like worth it you know like who is ever like oh I need to go to

An ancient city and like get this special loot I mean maybe you could say that for the echo shards and if you like Redstone and technical stuff then the sensors and obviously Swift sneak but I think on that like what do I really need from the ancient city does this mean

That I can make one of those respawn compasses maybe I might try to do that you know just for the fun of it mine as well it is 1.19 after all oh it’s called a recovery compass and I need one compass in order to make it one compass

And eight Echo shards there we go now we have a recovery Compass so I think it points to where I last died right is that what it’s doing right now is pointing to where I last died honestly when did I last die I can’t really remember and obviously we had to put our

Cute little skeleton skull right there so festive I literally don’t remember where I last died apparently it was right here that’s what it says anyways that’s cool I guess I’ll carry that with me right is that how it works I need to do my research on it think I don’t

Really remember how it works now here at the end of the episode I would like oh always pillagers I swear leave me alone leave me alone okay they’re coming towards me I guess I have to kill them nothing like acting like a human shield in order to not spawn a raid now after

Dealing with those pillagers I want to be cute and cozy and my little Shepherds area now some people left some suggestions for things that I could do to kind of spice this little area up a little bit one person said to plant a little wheat field just in case I want

To breed up the sheep and of course I do have a little wheat field right over there but I do think it’d be cute and fitting to have one right here by the shepherd’s house and another person said to build a well over here by the farm

And I love that idea so we are going to do both of those things oh and obviously we have to hang up the banner it’d be cool if the pillagers would stop spawning or something if you would hang up banners like they see that you have recently like destroyed one of their

Little Pillager things and so they wouldn’t come to your base because says you have a banner I don’t know I think that’d be cool the shepherd means business and he’s going to defend his little chickens and sheep at all costs obviously so now where do I want to

Build this little oh there’s a turtle hello Turtle oh there’s another turtle we should breed of some turtles at some point that would be cute anyways where do I plant this little Wheat Field it’s just gonna be a little small one I don’t know maybe I can build a small little

Wheat Field over this way I think that’s not a bad idea all right I guess I’m going to go ahead and get to planting foreign Now that we have our cute little Wheat Field planted I’m going to go ahead and get started on the well and I think I want to build it somewhere around here maybe I feel like if I put it right here then it’s going to be too much in front

Of the chicken coop so I don’t really want to do that also I planted these sunflowers around the hill and I think they look pretty cute there I could place it here I don’t think I should place it too far away from the Little Farms that we have so I could place it

Also over here but I don’t know I kind of want to place it close to the house so here’s option one and then I think option two is maybe like right here well let’s just go ahead and place down these staircases right here and see kind of

What it would look like honestly I don’t think I like it here at all I think it kind of blocks the view of the house like if I were to stand back here I wouldn’t be able to see the house very well so I think I’m going to move it I

Wanted to kind of be more in the background I guess than I don’t know like right in front of the house like I feel like it would look nice right here actually yeah I think I like you like that better just kind of like in the background rather than a centerpiece I

Don’t think a well necessarily needs to be a centerpiece unless it looks better than this well also I’ve had this bat flying around this little area for a long time now he just kind of like hangs out here cool I’m happy with these cute little additions to the Shepherds area I

Think the last thing that I would like to do is actually connect it to the rest of the base I need to build a little pathway but I need to see where I wanted to connect to because I’m not really sure so kind of coming up through here

Is the Little Bees area and I don’t really want it to go through here necessarily but it could kind of come around this side maybe we’ll do that I think we’ll have to clear out a couple of trees unfortunately in order to make that work but I guess let me go ahead

And get started on this foreign House is finally connected to the rest of our base I just did the typical pathway I always do with like this little like I don’t know like slope going through this hill and then I just connected it over here right beside the storage building and that’s our new and

Improved Little Shepherd’s house I’m glad that it’s finally connected because it actually feels like I don’t know part of our base now and the little well is such a nice addition and so is the little wheat field and it looks like we’re ending today’s episode on yet
