Welcome builders and it is jody here welcome to a full tutorial on how to build this library make sure you hit that subscribe button and tap notification bell okay this is definitely a tutorial you’d want to do in creative mode it uses a lot of resources especially wooden logs Anyway start with a five by five polished and a site square and fill it with your block of choice i’ve filled it with some diarrhea sorry diorite which i heard runs in the family anyway you’re going to need a number of these squares i’m making them very quickly for the Purposes of the video but take your time and make these squares in exactly the same pattern these are overlapping and the sight five by five squares so we’re at the front and we’re now moving the camera around to the side of the library the left hand side of the Library okay that would be one half of the library i’m going to do the other half a little bit later on right now i’m placing quartz chiseled blocks on all these spots and then adding on trapidoris maximus just simple wooden trapdoors right on top spruce fences in between You will need to pause this video a number of times if you’re going to follow the entire thing i’m using the faithful texture pack i’m building on java edition pc and i’m using replay mod and cylinders vibrant shaders if you’re interested we’re going to fill in the flooring here Remember this is only half the library i filled it in with double stone slabs but any choice of good library floor is good we’re going to add on four blocks factory three blocks here of oak with bone in between and then these are going to form our bottom floor Window so it’s three blocks of oak up in all these spots here you have to look at the picture carefully and copy where exactly they are and then it’s filling in with bone and just add in a window as well so this is the 5×5 building system where everything’s on a 5×5 grid I think it looks very mojangy very villagy as if the villagers have got lots and lots of money lots of resources and suddenly started to plan out and build something quite epic i like it to look a mojang minecraft style rather than anything else underneath this podzol and placing some levers and what Those levers let me do is to place iron trap doors vertically the server i’m building this on big shout out to builders refuge server actually lets me double tap these iron trapdoors without putting levers underneath but levers underneath would let you make vertical iron trapdoors if you’re Building a minecraft 1.13 or 14 of course you’ve got a number of different trapdoors you might want to use instead of iron okay stone bricks in all these positions here by the way i’ve missed out some stone bricks just here and i do apologize about that we Will add the stone bricks upright on that column a little bit later on okay once all those stone columns are done and all your windows are placed in we can add some flowers of your choice into the little flower bed at the front or the side of This library add a couple of upright wooden logs here we’ve got five of those three high as usual one there one there And i think what we can do now is probably duplicate this to the other side so you’re gonna have to stop what you’re doing just pause the video and do this uh one more time and duplicate it to the other side but before you do that We’re going to put in some book cases so grab your bookcases and put them in all exactly the same places that i’ve put them basically i’m wrapping them around all the inside walls here leaving some nice gaps for the windows and notice i wrap it around that corner there But i don’t wrap it around this next corner i leave it i’ll leave i think i’ll leave the oak exposed or maybe i don’t maybe i’ll go back and leave the oak exposed i thought i did at the back here we’re going to add in a little seating area in the library There’s not many seating areas in this library but this is one of them so we’re going to bring those seats just round like that add some more books in and keep going around the corner with the books and this really does help to complete this whole half of the library Um something else you might want to do at this stage is to add torches at every single window i just put torches on top of each bookcase under every single window and that worked out pretty well okay we’re just swinging the camera around give you guys a nice look at this And i am just using a bit of world edit to duplicate this over to the other side you need to do exactly the same but on the other side so that’s the bottom floor of the library nearly finished obviously we’ve got to do the front of the library here Now this transformation came from my transformation video this video which i can put in here if you would like to watch that time-lapse speed build then there’ll be a link in the down below okay so we’ve got some cobblestone here and the door and you can see exactly probably from The grid on the floor the advantage of the 5×5 building system is everything’s on this grid and you can see that this matches the front of the minecraft 1.14 library that we turned from a minecraft 1.14 library into a massive massive library okay add some oak logs on the side i’m Going to dig in and replace some of this polished andesite with some grass so we can put some plants in there i’m just doing the same exact same thing on the other side i will stick the camera on this side just do exactly the same on the other side with these spruce Upside down stairs couple of plants underneath and that is the front of the library looking good we can add some cobblestone slabs up to that sort of level there and that is the entrance way complete so what i’m doing now is just copying that to the other side so the exact Opposite side of the library we need to have looking exactly like that so let’s swing the camera in here give you a good look at the inside of the library and then we’ll slowly come around and start on our next task there you can see at the opposite end We’ve done both ends both entrances exactly the same very symmetrical build this okay so to complete our bottom floor we need to add in some more books right here in a bit of a t shape you can see exactly where that is from the gap on the floor between that And the upright oak logs i’m going to add some upper oak slabs all the way to there and then we’re going to peel them around here turn the corner until we’re we’re in line with the logs behind my little and these other character there and then bring those back to the logs And carry that line on straight through and then fill in the gap there with more of these upper planks exactly the same thing on the other side makes your little t-shape is in the right place And you’ve got your upper ocus wood of slavis to go in as well There we go and of course you need to do exactly the same thing on the other side so since this is exactly the same thing i think we can speed the yoda up There we go great um we’re going to add some stairs in here i’m just using some spruce wood stairs this gets you from the bottom level up to the first floor Good okay i reckon that is probably almost definitely the bottom floor complete okay so here we’ve got um this is going to be the end section a little gable end window here so just copy exactly what i’ve done i’m up and come up four blocks there four Blocks in the middle and up two blocks on the sides there are three blocks there and we can put some glass in between so the height of these little windows here should be three blocks of glass high so i’m slowing the camera right down when it’s something complicated and Speeding it up when it’s just some laborious filling in work which you guys would be good at anyway a couple of blocks of oak planks couple of trap doors on the outside just to disguise that a little bit a bit flat otherwise More oak wood logs are going to go in in quite a few places you just copy exactly what you see in the picture and we’re coming up by four blocks four logs one two three four one two three four and here at the front we’re gonna miss that one out no we’re not One two three four one in the middle as well and one right there with a gap of three between the other one that one there i think is a mistake that one i just did uh these three in the middle we still definitely want to have those three in the middle So the one i’m pointing out with this arrow here i think is a slight mistake as it actually marks a position where you can have an another staircase going up that other staircase to go from the kind of the the the the second floor or first floor up to the next floor Is something i’m gonna miss out from this tutorial and something you can add you can add in yourself i may show you at the very very end anyway once you’ve got all your uprights in place then you’re going to do some horizontal logging like that so it’s just in those places that you Have the horizontal logging you miss out the middle section there we’re gonna have a gable roof apex roof at the end there okay so now it’s window times i’m making kind of a bit of a u shape here u shape and i’m going to put the windows into that u shape Because on top of the u ship to finish the u shape are going to do upside down oak wood stairs so they go everywhere apart from the middle bits and then yeah upside down awkward stairs to finish off our windows there Okay so now it’s on to this sort of side roof here we can join those horizontal logs up like that And then we’re going to bring these stone bricks up you can see we bring uh those this one here will come up that far it’s not it’s one block down from the other ones if that makes sense and i’ve put a little um wall on top in fact i’m going to add uh Oh there’s the mistake did you really have just realized the mistake right there and i’ve repaired that which is very very nice indeed to see yeah these uh wall blocks sticking up we’re gonna put a torch on top and it represents the torch of learning lighting up the world The the enlightenment bringing light into the world bringing knowledge and science and technology into the world that’s what books have done for the human race anyway a line of slabs all the way around these are lower slabs as you can see and these just ping all the Way around oh right here i’m going to add another slab on top to make a full block and then a wall block and then we could put another torch of learning on top of that there we go continue these slabs all the way around bottom slabs And it should line up nicely with that upright stone bricks at the front and the back of the build okay great progress i hope you’re carrying on with this if you do build this then be sure to send me pictures on instagram i’d love to see your builds okay we’re gonna add in Some stone brick stairs and make a little bit of a roof here same on the other side i’m not going to build the entire roof in this section but we’re going to move the camera around so you can see the next section which is going to be You can’t see it very well the camera’s on the wrong side but i’m going to hold the camera over here and you’ll be able to see when i come around to this side just pretty much exactly what i’m doing exact same on the other side so it’s Just simple i’m sure you can guess simple wooden oak wood stairs the right way up to form the roof here so we’ve got two runs of that so far there we go looking bonny so the camera’s coming around here and you can get a really good detailed look At what i’m doing here so um this is kind of an optional extra i’ve gone along with some upside down oak wood stairs leaving a kind of a gap in the middle curiously where i’m going to just bring this beam across i think it looks really really cool especially when you’re Actually down and inside that part of the library so that’s a really nice little feature of the build okay it’s uh pretty much time for some more bookcases this is a library after all so we’re going to get the books into place first of all bring that beam across there And then we can go for some books so these are going to be four layers of books wrapping pretty much all the way around do take care on the corners and watch carefully what i’m doing with the corners i’ve missed that corner out right there for example And of course don’t forget your gaps for the windows and you might want to put torches where the windows are as well because it makes the build look spectacular at night when you have all the light coming shining out through your windows okay here uh it takes me a little while To work out what exactly i do so just bear with me for a few seconds you’ll see little yoda’s face you’ll see the little hesitation in my character in just a few seconds time so bring these books right out to there and then wrapping them around this bit Is exactly the same as what we’ve just done on the other side so i can speed this up it’s exactly what we’ve just been doing just on the other side and i’m coming around to this complicated bit going hmm what do we do here what do we do here Well i’m going to get rid of one of those a couple of lines of these books and just expose that oak log there i’ve got one more to remove come on yoda you can do it you can work it out yep get rid of that last line no no no No no no get rid of that last line come on you could do it your day think about it think about it yeah this was a tricky little part of the builds i’m holding the camera here for quite a long time just to make sure you get this super accurate so remove That one and then we’re going to go for some upside down oak stairs and it really wraps around and completes that part of the roof so a complicated part right there but a very satisfying one indeed okay gonna go for a few upside down spruce stairs of course you could put these in Yourself a little bit later on if you wish i’m gonna remove some books there maybe there’s a bit of lag there but i removed some books and added some more spruce upside down stairs here’s where i’m gonna put on um some trap doors and these trapdoors are going to form Kind of the walkway barrier much better than fences because it gives you much more room you can still walk past you need to get clever with some extra fences or extra trapdoors in the corners but i’m sure you can work out what to do i’m using the green wool And that shows you these trapdoors are kind of hovering on the outside of the walkway again need to get clever on the corners with an extra trapdoor or two but there we go we’ve got books we’ve got upright columns we’ve got a staircase we’re doing very very well i’m just Looking at this extra column which i kind of realize is a bit of a mistake now so we’re just actually going to get rid of this column right there and this will add in that extra trap door so there we go we’re back on track and of course That’s only half a library as you can see i’ve copied and pasted it there that is it copied and pasted to the other side exactly i’ll just spin the camera around nice and slowly so you can see that both sides are identical okay so we’re about halfway through the Tutorial so far well done if you if you’re keeping up so next we’re looking at the roof line here and this is where i do apologize i have made a slight mistake but it’s an easy one to fix you can kind of see me working out being a bit puzzled here that window And it’s just these two windows at the very ends of your build that are one block too high so i’m just going to actually take that window out and move it one block down please forgive me please forgive me quite a complicated build and i think This is one of only two or three small mistakes that i’ve made so yeah just lower those windows down by one block upside down oak wood stair on top and exactly the same sort of thing on the other side we can run these stone stairs like that Chisel stone block right there at the end and this brings us to the very end of our build and we’re going to carve in some doors here so you can see it’s a very simple design with some simple wooden blocks of oak oak planks and then carve in some Doors a hacky way through the bookcases to make two doors maybe we should call a tudor library two-door light one never mind i’m sorry one two three slabs two three slabs right there and then some slabs across make for a fine little bit of flourishy detail on the very front of the build Now of course we need to move these other windows down a block and i can just speed this up because this is exactly the same as the other side and there we go there’s our bottom part of our roof so more torches of learning going to be on these little upper Sticky out pillars very soon indeed there we go torches of learning um so exactly the same thing needs to be done on the other side there we go i’ve copied and pasted it in with a bit of world edit so i’ll just move the camera around nice and slowly and you can see That both sides are now absolutely identical okay so back to our normal side and we’re going to have some more uprights in these exact locations coming up by four blocks and then some at the bottom some more of these horizontal logs we can also come across into the middle Like that hopefully that is viewable and seeable then it’s window time again and we’re going to use this again this u-shape of wooden planks the glass window will go right in the middle and then on top we’re going to go for some simple upside down Oak stairs you can see on the hello in the as the picture looking at it the two far sections don’t have any windows bring up the stone bricks and we can finish off this roof here with a simple minecraft roof bring up your stone stairs put your little twiddly bit on top Build up some nice covers for the window whatever you choose above the window i’ve just gone for some simple oak logs and then more oak here to finish off the roof and a line of stone brick slabs on top it’s going to just complete things there we go Now we can bring those slabs up just to the top to complete that or swing the camera around you can get a nice good view of exactly what i just did there oh we’re gonna have a balcony right here so bring these logs out by three blocks Or two blocks if it’s right on the stone and we’re gonna add in some simple oak wood upper slabs to make a nice balcony obviously there’s going to be four of these balconies in total so here’s one there’s nine slabs in each section and we can also run some nice spruce Fences all around don’t forget to stick in your door you have a door nice and flush like that if you like or if you want you can be set back your door like that which looks a bit better maybe a bit more depth in your build when you do that Okay now we can complete our frontal roof here so uh build that up just a normal regular roof we can run some slabs to the top there and that really shows you frames the roof and then in between here we’ve got some oak stairs tell me what you think of this style of Building i like to keep it kind of minecrafty mojangy five by five-ish as if it’s a village on steroids with an epic library let me know what you think of the style and what else do you think we should do tutorials on what other sort of uh Town or city or village buildings do you need i think a library is a great thing to have especially in a game where there is enchantment in books and things okay so there’s the balcony and the roof on that side you need to do the balcony and the roof On the other side as well obviously i’m copying and pasting just because of the video and this really lets you see exactly what we’re doing ah right that little bit of stone up right there very sneaky very subtle don’t miss that looks pretty epic if you do that okay we’ll swing the Camera around as you can see the other side has been done completely both sides exactly the same so it’s just a duplication of what you’ve just been doing okay now we’re going to venture inside our library and you can see you bring these logs across it may be easier just to Watch this bit and then when i finished kind of pause the video this little bit this floor you know i would just watch it and then pause it after i finish because it’s trying to copy it block by block as you’re watching this little floor a little bit Confusing a little bit tricky but once once it’s complete it’s actually really really easy to see what i’ve done so there’s the planks going in on both sides i was fixing a door there for some reason my world did it copying and pasting i’ve got half a door Okay so more planks are going in why am i calling them planks they’re slabs oak slabs so same on both sides and we’re going to make this kind of um this atrium in the middle this square atrium in the middle 9×9 square atrium in the middle all the sides get filled in So this is what i mean it’s much easier now isn’t it to look at it and go ah right i realize what he’s done because it’s really simple to see and look at so i would pause the video probably just after i fill in all these planks And it’s super easy to see exactly what i’ve done so yeah i’ll go ahead and pause the video now and just do that just do that because it’s really simple look how simple and plain it looks and it’s actually a little bit confusing to watch okay i’ve got some more oak Logs and some spruce fences just to fence off that in an inner atrium which is bringing light right down into the middle of my build i really love this build i must say this is one of my best builds i think personally i just i mean kind of enchanted by this library Okay add some books on this side i’m going to go for some kind of base of books some kind of rows of books just there with a few logs in front and at this end here i’m actually going to go for a table like a conference table or a meeting table So i’ve got some enchantment tables and some upper nether brick stairs to represent the table and i’ve just used some quartz stairs to represent the chairs at the table same bookcases on the opposite side i’m just using a bit of world edit to copy those bookcases over to the other side If you’re interested about world edit you need java edition for a pc or mac you need to get on a server that has world data on it like my server or the builder’s refuge server okay so just swinging the camera around giving you a nice close view of our top floor Excellent so now we’re on to the very final stage add-on twos two logs two two two two two two two you can see exactly where these go in the middle i’m just adding one log on the central ones here in the middle and then continue to add the twos on the outside If you’d like to see me build and develop some of these things then please follow me on twitch twitch.tv forward slash and these yoda and you’ll be able to see me build these and develop them and develop them and hang out with me on those live streams on twitch Okay here’s another uh section where you want to pause it right about kind of now as you can see you can see exactly what i’ve done there with some more beams just going backwards and forwards all across so i’ve got a few to do still i can see i’ve missed one out hopefully I i come and get that in a few seconds time oh i’ve obviously missed it never mind i’ll spot it in a second trapidoris maximus on top of all these peaks oh and have fun with some anvils going around the outside i hardly ever use anvils in my build but i really enjoyed Using them in this build right um you need to bring up these stone pillars again we’re going to have the torches of learning so you can see exactly where these go on all the outside sort of sections here so walls on top as well and torches on top of them Okay so i spotted that uh missing part now um i’m just going to add in a few blocks of flooring at the very ends here now we’re going to go for the dome on top so we’re starting the dome on top that’s the wrong place to start the dome On top so i quickly realized new that is the wrong place so we’ve got a row of five there and that’s the wrong place another row of five coming up one two three four five one two three four five one two three four five with an extra dot on the ends An extra block uh i’ll move the camera above so you can really see how this circle completes i call it a five two one two circle goes five blocks then two then one then two and then back to five five two one two circle so there you go just copy that Circle in exactly those positions i’m going to grab some chiseled stone brick here i think that’s the next block i’m going to place chiseled stone brick no i’m actually taking a detour from the top i’m doing these ends now that was probably not caught on camera but you Can see the end filling in there very simple just some planks some oak wood and some um i think there’s probably some spruce fences so that was probably the only bit in the video didn’t properly catch okay so back to the dome i’m going to go In first person with this dome you can see here this is first person normal speed of placing these blocks here and i’ve just done one quarter of the circle so far so here we’re going to go for stone stone bricks stone brick stairs like that and then one two three One two three like that and then stone bricks on top one and then up again with another one stone brick and then some stone brick stairs on top of that stone brick at the back one two so we’ve got three of those stairs in a row one two three stairs in a row I’m going to have block block stair block block and stair and that should really get us to the very middle of our build then we can go block block block and we can put some um i would have thought some wall blocks on top of that and two of them in fact Or you could also put an end rod on top i didn’t think of that but you could put an android on top here we’re going to get rid of that torch and that trap door i’m going to go to on top of where the trapdoor was Oh just a staircase there and so above the anvil level we’ve got one one two three one two three there it’s pretty much exactly the same as what we’ve done on the other side so we’ve got block block stair three stairs in a row in total and then two blocks And a stair on top and then two more blocks and that takes us right to the middle and then a stair just there to finish things off so that is one of our corners done so we’ll just nip out of yoda’s head here and let him copy and paste those to the Other side okay so i’m going to build this in a glass by the way i’m just adding on right here i’m just adding on some more chisel blocks every alternate is going to be chiseled stone blocks and fill in the gaps with normal stone blocks i’m gonna do this bit in Glass really really fast because i think it’s too difficult to follow when i build with glass so don’t try and follow this just now i’m gonna spin round to one of the other quarters and i’m gonna do it quite slowly in diamond and what that’s going to let you do is Just simply copy you can use glass but i’m going to use diamond does that make sense it lets you know exactly what to do especially since i made a mistake with that glass anyway so we’ve got six blocks sorry five blocks of diamond in this kind of shape there at the sides Pretty easy so far i’m gonna go one two three four five six same on this side one two three four five six then we’re going to make a very small l shape with two blocks to start with i don’t i guess it’s not really an l shape and Then a block two blocks in there one two more of an s shape i would have thought so there you go copy exactly what i’ve done so far i’m going to add on one two more blocks there again just pausing and you can see exactly each block because it’s a diamond Okay really good progress that’s the most complicated bit we go one two three then we’re going to fill in these two diagonals like that two diagonal blocks and then we’ve got three diagonals on top so one two three like that three diagonals really simple and then we’ve got two here and two here And that creates some more diagonals in the middle two of them so fill in these diagonal blocks like that then it’s exactly the same as what we’ve just done uh a two and a two then you’ve got one diagonal there in the middle and we’re gonna go one two one two and then One more behind that i think there we go that doesn’t look right that looks right okay and there you go so that’s what to do you’ve got to do that on all four sides obviously diamond would give you a filled in dome or whatever block you’ve chosen and if you Use some stained glass it just looks like a dome which is going to let plenty of light in fill in the rest of these gaps you’ll have some gaps all be round of oak slabs fill in those oak slabs all the way around and progress is good actually pretty Much nearly finished this to be honest okay very last few details so i’ve got in the join between the glass and the stone brick i’m just going to add on some nice upper slabs of stone brick and just whizzed around and done that all the way around the outside Oh a really beautiful detail here with some bottom slabs of stone and of course that wraps all the way around and then a beautiful bit of detail here that was pointed out and recommended to me during one of my live streams when i was designing this put in a chisel block There and then either side of the chisel block when we go for some normal stone brick stairs it just looks like a really nice support really nice feature that you could add to all your builds and of course at each upright that gets done at the junction with the stone slabs And there we go excellent right at the front here very newbie minecraft emojingy front to the library here looks pretty much like the minecraft 1.14 library add in some wooden fences i’ve got some spruce wooden fences as well to hold some more of these torches it’s kind of an entrance way balcony Talking of entrances are going to add a little staircase here up some cobblestone stairs and then for one of our very final details i’m going to add in some fence gates so i’ve got some dark oak fence gates and they go right into the corner here in the very corner i’ve put A dark oak fence post and then brought the gates right to this corner with another fence post and then brought the gates over as well just adds a little bit of detail and breaks up that kind of white bone block of course that needs to be done on all Four sides so what we’ll do is just swing the camera around here and you can get a good view of our library in a few seconds are going to take you in the first person view to the inside there’s one little tiny detail we want to do On the inside but apart from that there we go that is your library complete i think it looks pretty spectacular and would be a beautiful addition to any town or village in minecraft and i hope you build it thank you so much indeed for watching i hope you have enjoyed this tutorial if Even if you haven’t built it right let’s have a look on the inside okay so this is one or two sections which we do need to complete by hand so the first section would be actually up here really a little bit unfinished so what i suggest You do is you just come across here with some oak logs and it doesn’t look too bad there we go so that is that finished off there here in the library i recommend we put in a staircase to get up to the next level so just in here We could actually put a staircase we’re going to go one two three four five six seven eight nine ten this is where we’re gonna have to start hacking our way through here and we there let’s just go around here and then one more and we have ourselves A nice staircase up to the top level i also put in a chandelier off-camera so that’s very simple comes down from the top and i’m going to add in very simple little surround there to the staircase and that is definitely the build finished what you would probably do is Just do that around the staircase you have to go this way around it like that so there we go pretty cool and this is the balcony and that is us definitely definitely finished big long tutorial thank you indeed for watching i really hope you enjoyed it i’m off to work on the Thumbnail and get this video uploaded and rendered it’s been a great fun to make i love making long tutorials i hope to make some shorter ones as well like 10 20 minute tutorials as well but this isn’t kind of one Want to know more about Minecraft? Minecraft is an online virtual sandbox type game where people of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. Nearly everything on Minecraft is built and designed by the players. Each player starts by choosing a character and giving it a name. They can then explore Minecraft having fun by chatting and working with other players to survive in survival mode or even create huge structures with an unlimited lego like set of blocks. Each player has their own land and a virtual toolbox with which to make creations — be it a castle, mansion or a giant arcade machine for example. There are lots of multiplayer games and servers through which players learn to cooperate.
