Welcome builders to the 5×5 tutorial town my name is andy i use the andy is yoda 5×5 building system and that’s what we’re going to do today to make this store or shop or the little house above it it is super cute plenty of detail easy to build block by block using the Andy azura patented trademarked kind of 5×5 building system it retains the look and feel of a mojang build but with a lot more detail balconies porches overhangs and just a great place to sell your stuff if you are running a shop somewhere maybe on a server this could Be your shop build this whole area is going to be a five by five tutorial town every build is going to use the 5×5 building technique and it’s going to be doable in a tutorial and if you don’t want to build it you can download it you Can download this entire map which has my medieval kingdom pirate cove nordic kingdom loads and loads of builds on this particular map java and bedrock and you can get it on patreon patreon.com forward slash andy azure you get to access my discord and you can come and be one of these guys You can go and build on my server and help me in live streams on twitch and help to build and design everything i make in minecraft so check it out patreon.com don’t forget to hit that subscribe button as well guys we’re going to get right into tutorial into the tutorial in A couple of seconds time just finish off this little time lapse here yeah hit that subscribe button plenty of tutorials coming up this spring and summer in the northern hemisphere winter in the southern hemisphere let’s get building so i’ve marked it out with a five by five grid every yellow dot is Three blocks away from the next yellow block and we’re going to mark out in cobblestone a little five by 17 foundation so this foundation is five blocks wide by 17 blocks long simple simple cobblestone base to start with line it with some oak wood add another layer of cobblestone all the way around Then two layers of andesite and one layer of stone then have some fun blend all these shades together all these textures need to get blended together oh by the way carve out a little door here i put a little teeny tiny archway and if you follow the little grid that i’ve put the Yellow dots you can see exactly where that goes kind of five blocks in from the left yes i’m blending the andesite the stone and the cobble together to make them look more weathered more natural as if the builder of this house has just used any Old block that he or she came across on the corners i love to add some stone bricks doesn’t that look cool and maybe some stone bricks in the middle as well we’ll add in some windows a little bit later on but there we go we’ve got the main door we’ve got the main Structure of the basement complete okay the next job is to build up on the corner and on the ninth block in really does help if you mark out the 5×5 grid um some uprights to hold up this porch area so it’s cobblestone cobblestone and the site and the site stone on top and Then some upside down andesite stairs in these positions and these are going to hold some logs and some stone just to round off this balcony area More of a portico actually than a balcony anyway add these logs across in these exact positions what you should find is in the main house it leaves his little three by three areas which you can fill with some upper ocus woodis syllabus stone across there more logs there and a Few more upper oak slabs just there Next we’re going to grab some oak logs and we’re going to go for some uprights before that these smokers go really nicely in the corners and then we want to add in our oak uprights four blocks high in all these positions and then connect them at the top With some oak horizontals as well and that really shows you the five by five overlapping uh grid squares a couple of logs on the end there of the build ready for a smaller roof later on i’ve left a gap at the back where we’re going to be adding a chimney as well There we go nice spin around the belt so you can see exactly where to place these blocks hopefully okay next grab yourself some oak stripped oak i believe and we’re going to mark in where the doors and the windows are going to go you could use stripped birch maybe even Some wool would look good as well oh sorry before that we’ve got a little bit more flooring to do so again upper ocus woodis syllabus And some more uprights coming up as well again horizontals coming across as well kind of all in these positions a big gap for the chimney at the back there and the build is really taking shape okay this is where i’m going to start to put in the The last layer of sealing here again more upper oak wood slabs and we’re just leaving the bit next to the chimney kind of blank that’ll need to be wrapped around and filled around the chimney a little bit later on but when i show you inside the build you can See i’ve actually added those last bits of floor once the chimney is in okay this is the bit i think where we’re going to be doing our stripped oak and we’re going to come up around the whole build everywhere you’ve got one of these gaps we’re just going to put two Lines of stripped oak stripped birch might look good you might want to use stripped spruce or maybe even wool or even a bone block looks very good as well maybe even bone block on the lower level and oak further up actually is a technique i’ve used I don’t know what quite why i filled in some of them let me just remove those gaps they’re not meant to be filled in this is where i’m going to go upper oak stairs in all the gaps whether it’s a window or a door so i’m putting in a couple of doors We’ll take a good swing around the whole build and you’ll see exactly where to put the doors but where we’re putting the windows i’m putting an upside down stone bricks there your choice of glass on top of that and that completes our doors and windows So you can see the positions of all the doors and all the windows as well pretty cool all right excellent slowing the camera right down to make sure you guys can catch up cool hopefully you have caught up by now what we’re going to work on Next is the roof so these are five lower spruce slabs five lower spruce slabs and then two slabs on top just to make them into full spruce planks uh in these two positions just there cool oh why am i steve and he’s gonna turn into steve look oh no there are there’s My skin back again right complicated stair upside down stair upside down stair so three correct stairs and two upside down this is the roof we’ve got upper slab full planks out the way yoda kind of see kind of see that’s better slabs upper slabs planks planks for that yoda And then we’re going to go stair upper slab spruce planks and one more stair this will bring us towards the middle and we’re going to go full planks and that brings us on to the next side here we’re going to do a sticky out bit of oak log And i think that little that little roof line um is actually quite complicated it took me a while to learn a while to design but it is actually kind of the signature look for this build connect those slabs there then you’ve got to do the exactly the Same thing on the other side you’ll see it from a different angle this time i guess so we’ve got three stairs the correct way up and two upside downs slab planks slab planks then we’ve got stair slab planks stair planks in the middle planks on top and we can actually bring this whole Row of oak log out the front and back to the back of the build like that and there we go so the exactly the same thing needs to be done on the other side let me just mark in where those are going to go and the exact mirror image on this side as Well cool well we’ll move the camera around to this sort of angle here so you can get a view from this angle and see the roof take shape nicely cool right we’re going to leave that as a frame and we’re going to move on to this next bit here which is another Little complicated bit of roof so add on those two logs and go upside down then a normal spruce stair then one on top and then an upside down so it’s to correct the way up and two upside down in that formation right there i’m totally in the way Then we’re gonna go for planks on top both sides and then stare stare like that and we should be able to bring a line of oak just poking away through from the main structure as well on top i’m going to do a stair facing out the way Upside down and then facing out the way again like that for a little bit of twiddly detail and then we’ve got slabs on top of that log not the best angle sorry and then we’re going to turn our attention to a little bit lower down on this roof so we’ve got slab Full ah it’s it’s four slabs okay let’s see again on this side slab upper sorry lower upper lower slab i believe hopefully you can see exactly how that goes uh bring that lower slab all it’s an upper slab it’s a lower slab like that lower slab all the way to the build Like that same on the other side to move the camera around here yeah the roofs are complicated the rest of the build is super easy the roofs you’re going to have to maybe replay this part of the video a few times pause it one two three four um well Add on four slabs we’ll add on more later on now we’re ready to go into oak so all you do is you copy the spruce wherever you’ve got um wherever you’ve got spruce you just copy it in in oak as well so that’s stairs stairs coming across and this bit ends up being Fairly tricky so we’re going to nip into yoda’s head i’m sorry it’s a really weird place to be yoda said but we’re going to put some temporary blocks just there we might be changing them very slightly in a minute and then stairs across there giving you a yoda’s eye view Of the build today yeah these blocks here i want to change them into actually upside down oak stairs it just lets a tiny amount of light in on both sides but as you can see underneath we’re going to need to place some simple upside down stairs i don’t know Why i didn’t do that on both sides but as you can see i need to do that on both sides oh no no that that that’s wrong that’s wrong that’s wrong what am i doing what am i doing get rid of them stairs across there yeah we need some stairs on the inside I missed out them i do apologize little oak slabs to finish shout out to blobman who actually designed this little teeny tiny roof on the side one of my patreons very much appreciated and good luck to him he’s doing lots of uh university stuff just now add in some stripped Wood of your choice i’ve gone for oak oops we’ve got an extra block in there which is going to prevent him i need to take that one out and i’m actually going to just take out that and put in a trap door and that trap door just kind of makes a little Central window there okay we need to do the exact same thing down here so um this is going to be a little bit faster as you can see like that we’re going to just focus on one side of it just now and that gives you a really really cool view Of the detail that we’re doing it’s planks on top and then we’ve got those stair blocks as well bring your oak out make sure you do the exactly same thing on both sides um exactly the same detail on top as we did elsewhere get a really good view of Those slabs going in as well down there now this slab here comes all the way into the build quite far actually all the way into the build just like that again just complete the sides here with some oak planks then stairs i’ve got some more stairs to do as well And this next row here i put planks you can make it those upside down stairs with the little holes like i did in the last effort but um for some reason i didn’t bother uh this time round with that little window it’s up to you entirely do Apologize here in the video for some reason i didn’t finish off the last bits of slab there at the bottom really strange but we finish it off a little bit later on the video i think uh we’ve got to add in some detail on the end here Cool okay now we can move our attention into the middle of the build add on a couple of blocks of oak log some trapdoors which are going to kind of let a little bit light come in and up through the overhang into this floor Now we need to seal up the ends of our build just bring up the oak log all the way to the top like this on the fourth block up we’re going to stick two out so miss a gap of three stick two out horizontally like that that’s going to frame that Part of the build then we can put in some just some regular windows one of which is actually going to turn into a door so exactly the same windows as we’ve been doing before framed with three bits of ocus striptus and there we go there’s the view from That side and same on the inside excellent so all that remains for us to do is to add in some windows so again upside down oak stairs To frame the windows oh we need to move the camera around again here because i decided to change the location of one of the doors so the door at the bottom i actually think is superfluous to requirements that means we don’t need it we’re going to move that door up to the Very top the tippity top of our house make sure all your windows are in as well and then we can turn our attention to the chimney so we’re going to make a little ring here of stone brick and we’re going to put some netherrack in the middle of that and That can be our fireplace lit up a little bit later on um bring this block all the way up until it is just shy of the horizontal log see that horizontal log in the background you want to bring these uprights all the way up until it’s kind Of just level see the camera shows it perfectly level just there so you want to do that on all four middles if that makes sense you don’t bother with the corners a little gap of two at the bottom there so that we can actually see the fire Uh bring this up level with your basement and then we’re gonna go for some kind of kind of fancy blocks here as if these are little vents maybe for the for the fire but a cool little place to have your blast furnaces at the back so a couple of stair block details two Stairs the right way up two stairs upside down couple of blast furnaces for a nice little bit of chimney detail at the back and we’ve played about with a couple of upside down stone brick stairs one correctly up in the middle and let’s bring this all the way up to the top and That near enough completes our chimney up at the top i’m just putting a little round section here of upside down stone brick stairs and there we go our chimney is actually complete and it pokes up nicely through the roof of course you could lay a campfire down Inside that chimney so plenty of smoke comes up now it’s a very very simple job of just bringing slabs and stairs of oak wood all the way across to fill in the detail for our roof awesome excuse me and we’ve got one more row of oak to do Okay we want to add some nice detail on the top of the roof maybe this is where you might want to come up off your come up with your own design two more spruce planks and then we’re going to go for some upside down oak Um i faced them all that direction and i decided to make the middle bit solid and face them out the way kind of out the way from the middle in both directions a couple of bits of spruce to finish off with some slabs there so we’ve got three Spruce in the inside and i think five spruces in the middle so how to do the end bit it’s one plank two upside down stairs and two slabs very very simple there sorry if that was a bit fast you might have to just pause the video at that point there to figure Out what i did um the roof is looking kind of plain right here in the middle so i’ve added a nice kind of run of trapedorus maximus round okay same on the other side albeit you’ve got a big chimney in the way and i think this is the bit i forget to Put the trapdoors in but you could add them in yourself right now it’s time for some nice balcony detail nice balcony detail so stick these logs out in these positions out by four blocks and then we’re going to add in some simple slabs i think i also added a door in at That point and we’re gonna stick out some more logs two two two two sticking out and two sticking out round by the chimney uh as well and then it’s simply a question of filling up here oh by the way little little bits of finish and detail there with some uh spruce And then the balcony is simply upper oak slabs in these exact positions and then i like as kind of a railing around my balconies i like to use these acacia trapdoors i love these acacia trapdoors maybe it’s different in your texture pack i’m using steven’s traditional texture pack and it makes these Beautiful looking acacia trapdoors with the upright vertical uh gaps which i like just looks like a lens fence running around so the yellow is obviously a temporary so i can place the uh the trapdoors kind of on the outside of the balcony you can see what i mean once We get rid of the um the temporary yellow wool you can see that these blocks are sticking out from the balcony you’ll need to add one inside acacia trap door as well another balcony at the very very top of the house again super simple just two oak logs sticking out upper Um spruce planks and then a little wrap around of your choice of trapdoor obviously spruce trap door a lot of people prefer spruce trap those are pretty nice as well okay time for the porch i think at the base of this build i’m sticking to the Grid the 5×5 grid with the yellow dots apart from this last little section here you can see that first cobblestone and that one and that one they make just a kind of a smaller path at the very side but the rest of this place is still on the grid so we’re marking Out some nice cobblestone blocks here to mark in our porch and these kind of wrap around the entire build again it’s really handy if you’ve marked out your 5×5 grid maybe with some wool or coarse dirt or something right what we want to do is add some upper oak Planks in all these exact positions here again as you can see we’re just slightly off the system at the end there but that’s that’s that’s okay as well okay these stairs here are going to be kind of the private entrance onto the porch and then these stairs here are the ones that are Going to reach up let people come onto your your shop porch or veranda here where they can come up and sample your goods see what you’ve got for sale fill in all the gaps here with some simple oak or whatever choice you want whatever flooring block you’ve got most of in Your inventory and your chests this is what you could use for your floor i’ve just gone for simple oak a couple of little stairs at the end there stone brick walls and in some suitable positions i’ve added in some spruce fences as well again leaving a little kind of a private entrance there Bring these walls up they delightfully hold up our balcony i love that detail i’m going to add some more walls coming up one two three four you can add on on top i think it makes it five high in total nope four high in total one two three four yeah four walls In total uh here’s another little balcony kind of a private balcony for the people who own the house simple upper oak slabs and then we can delightfully bring some oak wood logs out from the smoker out in the middle and they join onto the walls look how Beautiful they join onto the walls isn’t that great love that detail that’s definitely something i’m going to be using much more we can bring this fence up and it hooks up onto our roof as if it’s supporting our lovely overhanging roof you could even do some here on the balcony as well Great uh here i’m going to add in some stairs these are kind of like private stairs to bring you up to the private residence upstairs so simple backed stairs backed with upside down stairs of course you could do maybe a stone staircase would look quite good there as well that’s entirely Up to you right now i’m going to go for an added kind of overhang to provide another little bit of shade for your customers maybe they’re queuing up maybe they’re queuing up and having to keep two blocks apart in these tough times anyway add some um in that these exact Positions add in some stone brick walls add on a couple of spruce fences or three spruce fences at the front here and then i’m gonna go for these campfires and these campfires make for a beautiful kind of veranda um as well don’t forget to put them out otherwise your uh building is What you would call lit i think that’s what the young people are saying these days lit um i’m using some commands here to very quickly fill in the positions where we want all these you can add in three and three sorry that isn’t quite caught on Camera there but three and three just to hook it up nice and close to your uh balcony and again i’m using some more commands just to extend this veranda or porch overhang whatever you want to call it all the way around and there we go that is the main Building complete obviously it lacks bushies it lacks detail it lacks lanterns and you’ve got to put it into context with some paths and things around your build so yeah let’s let’s see it in position so this is what the finished thing should look like by the Way i’ve added in an extra couple of simple dormer windows at the top i would say these are kind of optional for you to do you can add them in if you like i think it looks quite cool i’ll let you figure out how they’re made yourself um obviously Plenty of lanterns go in as well beautiful beautiful beautiful i love this little balcony up here what a great view over this part of the world by the way you can download this whole map here this whole map it has lots of things i’ve built lots of kingdoms i’ve built Pirate coves and all sorts of things also got this blank castle and a blank village ready for you to build your own castle and of course it comes with these two buildings java and bedrock and of course these are all available on my patreon patreon.com forward slash andy And you also get access to all my upgrade worlds as well if you like my seven by seven upgrades what’s up pukel pick up the cat uh yeah what other details could you add in this person here’s probably selling chests you know sell it this person is probably a chest Sales person and you’ve got like item frames hanging off here on the trapdoors as well looks pretty cool i don’t know what that’s doing there sorry i just had to get that off my chest and then round here uh other details i’ve added in would be more of These oak stairs we’ll go in and actually have a look and see how they look on the inside i need to put these here um as well there we go that was kind of missing from the tutorial on the inside you can cover up your fireplace like that i would have thought Um this bit is good don’t forget to put in yourself a little spiral staircase like this you could probably do a slightly better job than me with the spiral staircase but this place is pretty awesome there’s so many floors so many balconies as well have fun Furnishing it i’m not going to tell you what to do you can furnish your houses yourself wow there’s so many cats it’s beyond belief but there we go little touches of detail here and there as i say the um the dormer windows are super easy to put In i’m sure you’ll work it out um i’ve put a little wood store at oops little wood store at the back here and the world supply of cats for some reason i have no idea about white white but there we go that is the store person’s house Plenty of room to run and operate your shop maybe you could build this in survival server where you do have shop plugins and you can be ready to sell your pumpkins or whatever you’re selling your pumpkin pie perhaps i was pumpkin pie salesman on my survival server It was a good job guys thank you so much for watching very much appreciated indeed don’t forget to check out patreon if you’d like to soda and i’ll see you next downl ciao with the blocks be with you Video Information
