Anime Games in 2023

When looking at anime games in 2023 my first thought was wow there is nothing coming out but is that actually true so I sat down and did some research and put together a list of upcoming anime games that I’m very interested in checking out sometimes it’s because they’re from Big

Anime even if the game itself doesn’t look the most promising others there’s no big anime Associated but the game kind of speaks for itself and my final list now has a total of 15 games plus seven that have already come out but are still getting DLC so maybe 2023 won’t be

So bad after all And let’s start with some ongoing games as I mentioned these are games that have already come out but are gearing DLC in the future and we kick things off with Dragon Ball Kakarot has just started its second season of DLC with a fantastic piece of content retelling the Bardock

Story up next is the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament giving us the first OG Dragon Ball piece of content and there’s one more coming after that so we’ll be getting Kakarot DLC for a while another Dragon Ball Game getting DLC soon is Dragon Ball the breakers which will

Introduce a new raider the great ape in addition to that they have committed to four seasons of DLC which is surprising given how the game was received we’ll see if any of this can revive a game that is pretty deserted already Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is still getting DLC

More than 6 years after release they’ve recently put out some Dragon Ball super superhero content and more is coming with DLC pack 15 the hero of Justice pack 2 release date unknown and also unknown as if there will be anything more after this when is Xenoverse 3 only

Ongoing games category we have to mention Genji impact which has received frequent updates since its release in 2020 and already has a lot of things planned for this year new areas new characters new story missions bosses events you name it but enough of games that are already out let’s move on to

The unconfirmed category these are anime games that are coming out in the future but none of them have a 2023 release date not yet some of them are very likely to come out this year others not so much including the first game on our list Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm

News seven deadly sins origin is probably the game I’m looking forward to the most out of this whole list and I’m not even a big seven deadly sins fan but this game just kind of speaks for itself the open world looks incredibly alive and dynamic combat looks good but no

Release date so far and honestly it might still be far off this game is being developed by netmarble who’s not making in just one but two new anime games solo leveling arise being their second one we don’t know much about it yet but it seems to have a heavy focus

Mobile RPG and I think it looks fine but Jujutsu kaisen definitely deserves something bigger hopefully something is in the works until then Phantom parade is all we’re gonna get and to close the list we have grand blue fantasy starting with versus which is getting new version called versus Rising normally I’d put

Something like this on the ongoing games category but this new version brings a lot of new stuff like new system mechanics stages characters and even a new party game with their Lobby characters but more importantly rollback netcode and cross play it’s gonna be a separate game from the original so

Definitely counts as a new one and then we have grand blue fantasy reeling connection RPG that was developed by Platinum Games up to some point they then left and side games is now finishing the game this is a game where you pick a character from The Grand blue fantasy Universe everyone has different

Abilities and then you can party up with your friends and Tackle different dungeons bosses get Loot and all that good RPG stuff still no solid release date but it’s confirmed to be coming out in 2023 and that’s the list I did leave out a few big games like Final Fantasy

16 and Fire Emblem because even though they are technically anime games they are not exactly the type of game that I cover on the channel so they felt a bit out of place for me that said if you think I missed anything important feel free to tell me in the comments below
