AnsiTiv – RedStone Lamp Vs. Torch Vs. Fire Vs. Glow Stone Vs. Repeater – Minecraft

What’s up guys i’m steve here today i’m going to show you um i’m going to do a a competition between light sources so what i have here i got torches i have fire i have glowstone i have redstone i also have repeaters but the what they’re all going to be comparing to

Is the newly found redstone lamp so first i want you to make one real quick and the way you do that is simply by getting a workbench putting a ghost in the very center and putting four redstone around it instead you get the uh i’ve got some lamp right here so we’re

Going to do that and that’s the challenge so we’re going to go ahead and set the redstone lamp real quick i’m going to place the power source right here i’m actually bringing her inside i shouldn’t mess with the lighting at all let’s go and make a night okay so here is

The mark the beat right here let’s go ahead and put a torsion top and also put some surroundings around so i can kind of judge the torch the torch lighting kind of arcs right about there yeah right about there is where the very end of the torch

This turns on and you can see it extended its way so the torch has less lighting power than the closed one i’m scared of this actually back on so i can show you no difference so isn’t the torch in the glowstone combine and it gives it the power it’s the

Other way around so let’s go and turn it off let’s put fire on top of it because there’s the fires close and still more powerful i mean close down and we made some lamps you can see a tremendous difference in um lighting not just distance wise but um also

In general area look at that it’s much brighter than the right layer okay so let’s go ahead and do uh let’s take a closer and for last let’s go ahead and do a lamp another redstone torch and this is that’s definitely a game right there but as you can see

You can use this as well to power other lamps you don’t mean at one so you can have these above ground like so one’s on one’s off one’s on one’s off anyway uh moving on let’s go ahead and do a repeater and we can simply do that by

Oh i’ll just go ahead and raise the block up let’s go ahead and put a one right here let’s see that works no but how is that that’s let’s just go ahead and do a little next to it like so so obviously even if it was on top of it obviously being

By this um power that glow it’s on lamp all right so uh let’s move on with the glowstone let’s see if this does could be a little bit and wow i think um i think we’re actually a good competitor it looks just like it nope there’s all the difference you can see

It it’s obvious difference you can see them around the edges it kind of lights up a little more obvious difference no generical thing about before we go is a redstone lamps can extend out to one and so power so you can go like this you can still power it but you can’t go

Like that so as long as it’s near it won’t be like that but it can be like this won’t be like that that’s worth even though i’m right here and the power it’s going to give all right destroy the wrong block it powers it up still

But even known right next to it and we all know we can power one next to it this phone won’t power any other block so it has to be connected to the power source and um yeah it also works if you have redstone going out
