So initially I underestimated the usefulness of observer blocks in Minecraft one point 11 but the community has made it very clear that this block could be the most useful block of 2016 let’s check out some creations that involve the observer block and while the intros rolling let me know what your Favorite edition of Minecraft one point 11 is in the comment section down below the observer block simple and concept with tons of uses it works by just detecting any changes that happen on one end and outputting a minimal one powered redstone signal on the other side it has some interesting properties such as Being able to read signals from a block away though still unsure if this is a bug but it’s allowed for some really amazing machines the first one I’m going to show you is an aesthetic wave machine made by mr. crayfish on reddit and just A note I’m going to have a link in the description below to all of the original posts for all of these devices so that you can share some love so this device works by detecting the changes on a string of redstone repeaters a redstone signal travels down this first line Activating the first line of observer blocks sequentially after that a grid of repeaters activate in a diagonal pattern causing the observer blocks above them to detect that change firing off a wave of Pistons in a diagonal pattern with lapis blocks on top of them in my Opinion this is just a small taste of the potential aesthetic devices that can be made with the observer block next up is the automatic infinitely expandable sugarcane farm while this is going to be the only farm I’m going to be showing most types of farms in Minecraft will benefit from the observer block Obviously being able to detect if your crops are ready is a really good thing this farm just a text when the sugar cane grows fires a signal into the block above the observer block which carries over to a piece of redstone next to it firing off the piston this device is Infinitely expandable because when it’s placed side by side the connected blocks won’t interact since the redstone that is used is only a power of one so it won’t activate any of the redstone next to it pretty cool the next two devices are elevators one horizontal one Vertical both scary fast first up is the vertical elevator highlighted on screen shows one section of the elevator which designates each floor note that there is a piece of string on top of the Pistons to build this elevator any higher just rebuild the previously highlighted section over and over and over again to Choose a floor to stop on for this elevator just go on top of the piston at the desired height that you would like the elevator to stop at remove the string and then put a button on the side of a block and just make sure that the Button is where the string was this is now a floor it’s that easy to continue going up just stand on the piston and press the button this elevator doesn’t go down though unfortunately just set up a freefall with water at the bottom Minecraft’s physics for the wind so the Horizontal elevator works in much the same way take the highlighted section and build it over and over and over again note that there’s redstone on top of the observer blocks and that there is a piece of string floating at head height in front of the piston not on top of it Once built just step into the string and prepare for a ride what’s awesome about this machine is that you can turn which direction that you’re going just by building them sideways say if you’re building around an obstacle making a crazy shape or even looping them something like that alright and last up On our list is a super compact flying machine functionally similar to every flying machine in Minecraft but much smaller truthfully I’m not too sure why this one works though because the one observer block that this machine has isn’t being triggered by anything on top of it my assumption is when the redstone Block hits the side of it it sets the air block above it into a powered state and the observer block still picks up on that allowing the whole device to work so all you need to do is hop in break this redstone block and allow the Machine to take you for a ride it might be funny to build this device really high up when you’re ready to work on the found all biomes and then just let your computer run overnight assuming you don’t fall out because minecraft glitched out just remember cheating is okay in Minecraft if it’s smart cheating that’s totally how it works right so that about wraps it up if you enjoyed this video please leave a like on the video it helps out myself the video and the channel as a whole quite a lot so I hope you all enjoyed this video My name is antvenom and I bid you all farewell guys thanks so much for watching Video Information
