Keeping Minecraft mod packs updated on your server and launcher are important for making sure that you or other players are able to join with no problems. It can be a lot of fun to play with different mod packs, but When a new update is released, it can be difficult to change the packs version. Unfortunately, it isn’t an automatic update so you will have to manually go in to update the server files, as well as making sure that the Mod version still matches all of your servers. Let’s go over how to update a Minecraft mod pack on your server and your launcher. Updating your server mod pack on both the server and the launcher is crucial. If you only update one and not the other, you might run into the mismatched mod list error or any other issue. Before updating anything, double check the latest server version that we have in the system so that you know which one to install, using our mod pack server list page that will be linked down below. You want to fully reinstall the mod pack on your server by deleting specific folders, but if you wanted to keep specific files before then, make sure to download them using something like filezilla, which we have a guide to that will be linked down below. The server will regenerate all of the deleted files with the latest version that we have in the system. Head to your Apex Server panel and press the stop button, and afterwards in the top left click FTP File Access and log in. On the next page, you’ll see all of the server files, but only check the jar, config, and mods folders. Click delete in the top and then continue to submit the changes. Once you see the done returned OK in the console return to the main panel and restart the server to regenerate those files. Once the server is updated with the latest version, you’ll also want to make sure that your client side is updated as well, to make sure that your connection is successful. There are quite a few different launchers to run mod packs, which all have a different way of updating. For CurseForge, you’ll want to open the Curse Forge program and head towards the My ModPack section. Click on the Mod Pack profile and press the three dots and then find and select the change version option. Under the Select Mod Pack Version category, Click the dropdown menu and press the latest one. After that, click continue near the bottom and wait for the Mod Pack to completely update. For Technic, you’ll want to open your Technic launcher and then head to the Mod Pack section near the top. Find and click the outdated pack, and then in the top right corner, press mod pack options. Make sure the latest version button is selected and then head to reinstall pack. Confirm those changes and it should reinstall. For Fee the Beast, launch the Feed the Beast app and then head to your library section. Select the Mod Pack and press versions or update available, And if you clicked versions, then make sure to use the latest option and continue to update. Open the AT Launcher program and head to your instances page. After that, select the outdated mod pack and press the edit instance button and then click reinstall. In the version to install section, select the latest version, and once you do that, continue to the reinstall and wait for the Reinstalled message. Run the Void Launcher app and head to the Mod Pack area and then select the Mod Pack and press reinstall. Click yes to confirm and select an option for the backup prompt. Afterwards, just wait for it to fully reinstall and it’ll automatically launch Minecraft. Successfully updating your Minecraft mod pack on the server and the launcher will make sure that all player connections are stable. You will have to use the FTP panel to delete the old files and then get the new ones after a restart, so it’s important to get familiar with the process, and that’s exactly what we’re here for. There are a lot of different apps to use for client side, so make sure you are using the correct update method for each mod pack. That’s all for this one gamers. As always, I hope you have lots of fun. Thanks for watching. If you want to see more great content like this, then subscribe or click these videos. Until next time gamers. Video Information
