Oh yes minecraft well you’ve come to the right place this channel is the home of level ministration you need only unravel its mystery but where’s an outsider like yourself to begin easy with a little save file of your own but first you’ll need an editor If you want to get a level save from every version you’ll need the tools for the job i’d recommend the beta craft launcher at least for everything pre-alpha they’ve got add-ons and a proxy that restores sounds and skins in the oldest versions as well as letting you eat your prime Minecraft pre 1.7 if you sign up on their website for the modern versions you can just stick to multi-mc or the regular launcher Mcedit’s pretty much your only option in this case unless anyone knows another pre-2011 level editor you’ll need two versions of it one from 2011 and another for editing levels after the anvil save format i’ll link where i found all these in the description good all signed and sealed now let’s begin the transfusion Oh don’t you worry whatever happens you may think it all a mere bad dream hahaha So it’s in classic where i chose my starting version i want to go through and get as many pieces of terrain in as possible even the big stone platform go into your betacraft launcher select an old rd version edit instance select add-ons and enable offline.save this will starting in this version take A save file we can open an mcedit later the first few versions can’t take saves so you’ll have to generate a world move up to the version that does take a save and then delete the instance and repeat one version up from this version onwards you get a save Just by closing the game the process speeds up a bit i went through most versions that changed level gen including survival tests for good measure all the way up to classic 0.30 once we’re done there we’ve got a plethora of classic levels all your builds and creeper holes will be lovingly immortalized The first few in dev versions do some weird tests with 3d models and mobs that don’t exist anymore then there’s the changes then in the first working version of survival mode after that we get several different world types to work with including island woods floating in hell starting at this version you can Use the save file button in the saves menu to take a local mc level file of the world this lets us get the end dev files we’re looking for to convert later when ready move on now starting off inf dev we got a couple of things to take note the first Versions can’t take a world save and there’s some funky stuff like brick pyramids to deal with first person to use the alpha level format is 2010327 this is where i’m making my world for this challenge first thing to do after creating the world is close it and go set the seed You want to play in nbt explorer make sure to save your changes afterwards after that go into mcedit and delete all the chunks that generated on first load at this point you could import all your old levels but be careful before you do that there’s some weird things going on In this version there’s a repopulation bug every time you reload the world trees and ores regenerate at their spot as if they’ve never been mined this includes terrain you import meaning some weird stuff will happen to whatever you bring in a couple versions later big trees are implemented and some similar stuff happens I personally just recommend waiting until all the stuff gets sorted out in 2010 0.607 i’m content to just play the game normally until then and then you can maybe take advantage of those bugs if you want some prime resources once you’re ready though go into mcedit open the world files level.dat and look Around for an area you want your classic and in dev levels to be after that go down to import go to where all your levels are saved and start importing them one by one i’d recommend aligning them by chunk so everything aligns nicely with the rest of your world otherwise you might deal With some weird holes to the void other than that it’s up to your preference you can leave the land as is sunken far into the ground or you can raise it up to the rest of your world’s height and fill in the stone underground once you’re done you’ve got all your old Terrain builds in your world and you can continue as normal from alpha onwards everything should go without a hitch the only weird things you’ll notice is chunk borders between old and new chunks there’s nothing we can do about those though it’s going to be a fact of life Until chunk blending gets implemented in release 1.18 in beta biomes get implemented there might be some oddities that result from this but there’s nothing that we can do about it at this point from here on we’re good until the save format gets converted to anvil At that point you might want to go into modern mc edit and change the biome types of your old chunks unless you want your old home and alpha to be treated as a weird jungle or ocean with screwed up spawns if you decide to do that get it done Before you reach 1.13 mcedit only works to 1.12.2 from there on though you’re home free this is just a small guide to help anyone who might want to do something similar to this challenge if you’re interested in the specifics check out my previous video if this helped out in any Way there’s anything i miss you should tell me about it in the comments or discord maybe subscribe or like too maybe not all right see ya Video Information
