Ars Magica 2: Wizard Training – Episode 5 – New Spells

Hello cup coders if you remember in previous episodes I died oh yeah and welcome back to ours magic a to wizard training so as I was saying if you remember in previous episode I died and I lost my spells so I’ve actually gone ahead and got to stuff together for

Making a whole new spell did I not ah dude I made another book and I didn’t need to oh well we’ll move on alright so I’m just gonna go ahead and make another spell and as you know you started with a blank rune and then it’ll tell you what

To toss in and so that’s what we’re working on here you know I need snowball and Red Room and an iron sword and last but not least a parchment now we have our spell back so let’s go ahead and name it there we go we have our magic missle spell we are

Ready to go and that’s exactly what I’m gonna do is I’m gonna go ahead and run around and see if we can’t raise some more experience cuz what’s that sound ah because we really need some more experience there two of them right there it looks like and we need some more magic levels

We can get some more spells and stuff and that’s actually what we’re gonna work on this episode is I want to look into getting us some more spells so we’re gonna look at some of the other spells that we’ve obtained and see about learning those and what its gonna take

To to make some of those I don’t really want to deal with that guy just yet hold on we are outta mana you’re already out of mana doesn’t take a whole lot huh all right so I’m gonna go ahead inside and pretty much stay safe until some of my mana comes back

And we’ll do what we can about owl but it will shoot me we’ll do what we can about raising some mantle levels and raising getting some more minecraft levels back and we’ll see you just in a little bit all right welcome back I’ve actually gone ahead and got some stuff

Together for some more spells and we’re gonna go ahead and make them before I do that I want to show you real quick now I know that oh wait no yeah I need bucks and eBooks dürer I give me a second give me just a second to catch up with you I’m missing

Man all right we’ll fix that later I need two books we’re actually gonna make two more spells we’re gonna make one for the fight you’re both um of projectile spells one of them is going to be a projectile fire the other is going to be magic damage but that’s here grab our

Projectile portion and then we’re gonna grab magic damage and we’re gonna make this a magic mommy we have magic missle so man a missile pick it up and there’s our madam missile spell doesn’t show the name of the spell I don’t oh jeez duh oh all right whatever all

Right so what get the next one right next with fire we take the projectile spell and I don’t have fire what I did okay well nevermind then I didn’t really well don’t accidentally take the book out guys apparently that it actually makes a spell even if you haven’t got

One made me a place to toss this here let’s just toss it out there hmm if I check my components it shows a fire damage spell that’s just weird cuz I see the fire damage spell here but I don’t see it in my list out there some may

Mean ah it’s one that I can learn but I haven’t yet learned but because I have a point available it’s showing it anyways but here’s what we’re gonna do we’re gonna leave that just as it is I’m not gonna go with that in fact we’re gonna come over here to the defense spin

Itself and we’re gonna click on self and give ourselves the ability to cast spells on our selves I think in the next level we should be able to learn healing spells or something along those lines but I think that’ll be fine for now so after all we’re only going to learn one

Spell and that is gonna be this spell that I forgot to the name here magic damage C book snowball stone sword venting dust arrow lapis lazuli and purple room now you’re gonna notice I just created that but before I even created it I actually got everything you needed

In here already which one was this just don’t sort okay that’s what I thought so everything I needed is right here on this top line and I’ll show you how I figured out what to use before I even made the book and it’s actually quite simple in fact you just saw when you

Look in the arcane compendium you go into shapes and then you’re gonna choose projectile this will show you the the the items you need for the projectile spell so looking at this we know that our projectile spells are always going to need an arrow one victim dust and a

Snowball but next we wanted to add magic damage which is a component so we go to the components we see magic damage and it shows that there are four items required for magic damages stone sword a book lapis lazuli and purple room now when I was looking in here earlier I saw

It and I read it this way stone sword purple the Epis in a book so as I was walking away I was thinking purple lapis there’s no purple lapis but there you go alright so we’re gonna go ahead and grab that stuff out of this chest here now

Always in those eye item ingredients – there’s two things that are never listed and I know I’ve said this before but I’m gonna I can’t stress it enough there’s two things that are never listed they’re never listed in the book and they’re never listed in the compendium but you

Still need them nonetheless what those are I mean empty slot we’re gonna pick that book up because we don’t want to use it but those are items are is the blank rune which is what you use to get started and the spell parchment which is what you use to finish the spell

Creation so let’s move these off of here we start with the blank rune we will finish with this and everything else in here is part of the recipe alright so oh wait yeah we still got to put the book on them on the altar Tara

So we put place the spell book you can read it while you’re out line us up here if you want doesn’t matter but we’re gonna go ahead and create this spell by tossing it in here all right we see that it is there it is working now it’s telling us what we need

To throw in one after the other ones I almost look like a clay ball for a second there and then there’s purple rune and then it wants to lapis lazuli now it wants to book now it’s gonna want the stone sword last but not least it wants spell parchment and this is mana

Damage that is right so we’re gonna right-click on it we’ve give it a name this time since I forgot to name the actual recipe mana damage and we let’s see I think I chose this green one here for the the other one so I’m gonna choose this one here and hit escape that

Finishes it off now we have our mana damage spell it’s kind of like bolt from the old version but there we have it and we have a little bit more mana left so what we’re going to do is we’re gonna let this man reach our job and then

We’re gonna come out here at night and we’re probably gonna spend the rest of this episode fighting just fighting enemies and fighting monsters and stuff that’s pretty much it oh we’re just waiting so we’ll be right back alright guys it is night time we are at full mana so we’re gonna go ahead

And head out and see about killing some monsters and gaining some levels definitely gain some more magic levels I’m not so much concerned with minecraft levels more as I am with magic levels and that’s because we need the magic levels in order to get more mana the

More mana we have the more math spells we’ll be able to cast the more deadly we will become the longer it’ll the more minecraft levels will actually be able to raise because we won’t have to be worried about running out maderos you’ll notice that I am not using a full

Charge this time because I want to see if it’ll stretch out at all unfortunately it does not look like it’ll stretch out much it looks like it can only handle two enemies so it’s probably best that I just go ahead and use the – I guess what we call the mid

Charge the normal charge then we’re gonna go ahead and find some more enemies and I brought along an iron sword and I’m wearing a full set of iron armor that way once we’re done with our mana we can go ahead and switch over to the sword and just keep fighting will

Gain some minecraft levels while we’re out here – alright looks like we are out of mana so we’re just gonna switch over to the sword and keep fighting I’ll and herb I see it doesn’t matter to me you won’t die you won’t die the hope

Is that we’ll gain some mana back and at some point we’ll be able to cast more spells and gain some more magic levels and now we are Oh somewhere to go hey here’s another madman a level right there which gives us more mana to work with – whoa hey guys

All right I think we’re just about safe yeah we’re back at home territory back at home so I think we’re good now all right so I’m gonna give this girl a name I think I’m gonna call our Angelica so Angelica is a my been around here has

Right we’re gonna eat and we’re gonna go level up and see what new spells we might be able to offer let’s see we got one so like I said we’re gonna go with the defense and we’re gonna see that’s either sleep and then there was regeneration so we’re gonna learn

Regeneration this time that’ll give us in a at least some form of self-healing hopefully after next time will be a latch we’ve learned a healing spell so let’s go ahead and look into doing the regeneration spell and variant or just a little bit so you got magic missle

Downstairs I built this little area downstairs for lock storing weird stuff fizzes see that’s where I’m supposed to put books at but spell books down here okay I’m missing I’m missing it oh yeah I left it on their altar didn’t I alright let’s go get that spell book off

The altar what strain dungeon yeah I leave a spell book on the altar in the rain think I don’t care about the book of something it’s gonna get water laws if it’s gonna get wet and fall apart and you won’t feel real dish all right I’ve put that in there there we go

Alright so we’re gonna go ahead and create one more spell let’s go ahead and let’s look check this out real quick so we know what we’re gonna be doing or maybe not recreate it but I’m gonna look into it we’re gonna make the book real quick before the end of the episode so

First thing it is a self spell so we are going to need I told you we need some arm i we didn’t find any I’m gonna have to go back out and find it so we’re not gonna be able to make the spell this episode but I’ll probably I’ll go and

Find it before the next episode we’re gonna need a lesser focus which c4 click on it I believe dat’s one piece of glass and four gold ingots so let’s just verify it hey I was right ha so one glass for gold inglis and we’ll make a lesser focus

We’ll go ahead and do that now see got some gold ingots here we go one two three four and two have any glass and two it’s upstairs yes I have glass so we’re gonna go ahead and make a make the list of focus now so it’s all ready to go

So there’s the list of focus for us let’s see what else do we need all right we got vanadium does I’m gonna have to find all all off-camera and we’re gonna make regeneration so for regeneration we’re gonna need a Golden Apple so I’m gonna have to find an apple

And make a gold and a Blue Room I’ve I’ve been doing this off-camera but I want to go ahead and show you how to do this just in case I haven’t I can’t remember but first thing first part of having a blue rune is actually making

The room and this is the recipe for it put that in there then we get some blue lapis which I believe I have some downstairs there’s some lapis right there and you put a rune with blue and you get your blue room so now that’s when some of what we’re gonna need

Let’s see Golden Apple do I have apples actually no I don’t I’m gonna have to find that off camera – all right well I want to make the book so grab this book and quill and let’s go make the spell book that way next episode will craft a

Spell and we’ll fight around outside and test that spell out all right first thing obviously we need this self thing here or pop that down in there now if still once again like every other spell that gives us all the options so we have physical damage magic damage

Regeneration and downwards we still have to look in the balance I’m thinking about possibly adding that to the magic damage to stuff amounts off but here we go regeneration and we put the book in there and name it baby hold on we got a name in here so

I’m gonna call this bridge in very engineered a very creative meaning I know I’m not very good at creating names that’s okay all right so next episode will craft a spell we’ll fight some more enemies and we’ll try to raise some more levels so that hopefully we can get some

More spells here soon we’re gonna have to get a portal going to the nether at some point because in order to make some of the more advanced ARS Magica stuff that we’re gonna need I’m gonna have to have a pull to another because we’re gonna have to go get supports I’m gonna

Have to go get some blaze rod so we’re gonna have to go get some gas tiers or as a go get a whole bunch of stuff so here within the next couple episodes we’re gonna build us another portal and we’re going to the nether but that’ll be
