Luckyblocks has been around in minecraft for a very long time it’s one of the coolest ways to customize your gameplay experience why well lucky blocks essentially adds a bunch of interaction on top of your existing gameplay it can provide you with a bunch of cool events That you would never have happen in your world otherwise now i know that some of you may think why but animating things like this would only work for bedrock edition minecraft or pocket edition right no you’re completely wrong about that if you follow the link down in the description to Mythic mobs you’ll actually find a really cool plug-in there called model engine this essentially uses armor stats to make animations for java minecraft so we can implement cool things like this into our servers but kevin how would that work well just jump to edit you jump down into the outliner you create a New group you call this one hitbox then in the new group we create a cube we call this one hitbox cube now when this cube is in place we find it here below our model i’m going to make this one 16 16 and 16. now in transform space local I’m gonna take the pivot and center it to this very cube this is important because if this one is below ground it will strangle this mob creature we put it into the world don’t worry about the textures this is going to be hidden when you put it into your minecraft experience I’m going to place the eye height of this one at the top of the block same thing for the hitbox bone this also has to be brought up the pivot of that one should also be located further up on the model we simply hide these two and now When we export our model into the game model engine system is gonna recognize that we’ve added a hitbox and go aha and add the hitbox so that it functions perfectly in the game world but before we continue now let me go over how this cube was made and what my philosophies Are sneaky plug sneaky plug to mention that anybody who supports a channel over at patreon gets this lucky block from today on yes regardless of the amount just want to mention that so when i started designing this lucky block i knew two things one i wanted to Feel like a loot box in the way that a loot box opens and kind of behaves a bit in the game secondly i also wanted to make sure that it would have several segments of interaction first another layer that breaks apart then a second layer that breaks apart and then finally An inner layer that also sort of breaks open to reveal the core i knew already when i started that i wanted this model to function with model engine a plug-in you can use for your java minecraft service that essentially allows you to build these custom creatures and mobs And have them through mythic mobs interact and behave in the environment it’s a super cool way to do loot boxes and things that you can find and interact with in the world around you that has some limitations however and things like that has to be taken into Account from the get go when you work with custom models like the one i have here so with all of that in mind i set out to make sure that every individual bone and all of the components were designed and functioning with model engine in mind something you may notice As you’re watching this is that i’m putting a lot of time and effort into the textures in comparison to modeling the thing is modeling for me is something i’ve done for a very long time and it’s nothing that come across as super non-intuitive it’s actually the most intuitive process Of it all the only difference is that in modeling you have to imagine what the thing is supposed to look like before you actually get to see it with the textures on it so i need to account for what i think i want to do with the Textures and then try to build the model so that that works with the layout of whatsoever on the model design and usually that means that the texturing procedure of a model design is the thing that takes the most amount of time and depending on the resolution of the Texture obviously you would spend more time in some cases working on texture itself the higher the resolution usually the more time spent working with it it’s a bit as if you were drawing a stick man figure or if you’re drawing a mona lisa art obviously the mona lisa is going to Force you to work a lot more in terms of the time spent to develop the design in this model in particular this lucky block the texture is also very important to reveal the story of what’s happening when the model is opening up every new segment of the models reveals a Different part of what’s inside of it so when we reach the core everything that’s happened till that point is a storytelling about this cohesive component opening up through layers of interactions until it finally reveals the core and there it is waiting for us with all of the cool loot in hand Bye Video Information

It’s time to upgrade your player experience with animated lucky blocks. Using ModelEngine and MythicMobs you can add this 3D model as a custom mob. Decide how it’s gonna behave on your Java Minecraft server using the MythicCraft plugins. The server plugins allow for some really cool features, such as adding animations on armorstand entities to make this custom animated Lucky Block model appear and move when you interact with it in the world. You can add things like animated loot boxes, custom crates that open when you click on them, pots that break when you smash them, and a lot more. All you got to do is to head over to https://mythiccraft.io/index.php?resources/model-engine%E2%80%94ultimate-entity-model-manager-1-14-1-16-5.389/ and grab the demo, or get the full plugin setup for your server.
If you want this lucky block model for your own server, bedrock map, pocket edition addon, or similar, then consider supporting the channel, you too. From today on, all people who support the channel viahttps://patreon.com/artsbykev will get the lucky block model in this video + the animations, and also +8 different texture alternatives for it. In this video I use a software known as “Blockbench”. Blockbench is a 3D modeling software for Minecraft and Voxel Graphics. In this video you will see how to use Blockbench to texture your own Minecraft entities and mobs. You will get a deeper understanding for how a skin texture works and be able to produce your own high resolution and great quality skins in no time. Have you seen any of the earlier episodes? That’s a good tip if you want to become professional today with your Blockbench models. I am here to teach you to texture with Blockbench and begin to create fantastic Minecraft skins for vanilla MC and Bedrock Edition.
Are you new to Blockbench? Tell med own in the comments and let me know what you would like to see me create. As a marketplace developer I do have a lot of projects going on, but getting inspired by this wonderful community is hands down the best thing I know when creating new video content!
Blockbench is a free to use software. If you have not already installed the 3D modelling software on your computer to create Minecraft Bedrock Models or custom Minecraft mobs, then download it via this link: https://blockbench.net/
Meanwhile you’re at it, give the developer a solid follow on twitter, they well deserve it! https://twitter.com/JannisX11
