Ashen Plays – Obsidian and Lava Production – Ultimate Alchemy (Modded Minecraft 1.12.2) #4

Hello everybody and welcome to another episode of ultimate alchemy welcome back so I have a lot to show you guys today so first things first I redecorated I added a little bit of a stone work floor I thought it looked kind of nice beats the cobblestone look a bit boring so I

Changed that up that was pretty cool also put like a border around the outside so just kind of expanded a little bit and I also carried on working on that leaf production like I mentioned so here is a little extra contraption I kind of set up what it does is the dead

Bushes that come out of here go into here turn into exampling x’ saplings get put into here immediately pulled out into this mechanical crafter to crafts them into the leaves and then puts the the leftover dead bushes and leaves into this output then I have this item translocator filtered on dead bushes

Same with this one and they take the dead bushes out the in in out words output inventory into back into the machine to get re converted into a sampling so this is basically like a sapling Automator which is really cool as you can see we’ve got loads of oak

Leaves and in doing so we did actually get enough to make some compost and as you can see we have some water of life so I should be able to pop that in there and get a water of life bucket now if you remember we’re using the water of

Life in a how was it that we wanted to do it there was a way to make dirt with this I can’t remember exactly what it was so we needed to put liquid dirt which required us getting is still with water of life in there and to get liquid

Dirt so we’ve got our still here we’ve popped that in and it’s going to cover up once we give it some power I’m just wondering actually do we have access to the RF wireless transmitters this might be something to get so if I get myself I should be able to

Craft this a sink I also crafted a stone barrel just because I didn’t have one and I wanted one so that’s good like that go like that so we’ll get lots of polish stone pop some in there generate some extra power I also want to get some lunar panels set

Up because we do have some lapis which is pretty cool and that should give us the ability to you know have power during night time as well not very much but enough to keep the general stuff going okay so how are we doing we’ve got to there so we’re gonna need a little

Bit more than that but yeah so today I’m hoping we can maybe get to lava being made which would be pretty good so lava if you remember the last episode I didn’t mention wanting to get into lava but not being entirely sure how I wanted

To go about that and in the end I I was to all these different recipes on how we were gonna get lava turns out is way simpler than what I was planning honestly like it’s so simple I was basically going through I’ll show you my thought process so for lava I was going

To love her and I was like okay well we need to get like a magma crucible or something or you know we could go phosphor or something like that that’s like oh you can get blaze powder so how do you get blaze powder and I was looking through all the different

Recipes and I’m like oh there’s a fluid transpose a recipe with essence of knowledge and sulfur have your essence of knowledge you need a statue of the thinker and again you need a magma Cruz but I was getting so worked up and couldn’t working out how to do it and I

Clicked on lava bucket and there’s just a bucket of lava ingredients that you smell and it’s really simple to get and all you need is one piece of obsidian which is just some cobblestone so yeah I feel it a little bit stupid but that’s okay that’s okay there’s nothing wrong

With being a little bit stupid sometimes the yes so let’s see what did I want to get I wanted to get a wireless RF three so I need to get another one of these resonating crystals and I need to get some blocks of redstone need two of

Those okay and then it should be as simple as something like this and that gets us a wireless RF battery so that I can pop up here and that will power up this battery so in order to use it I’m gonna need to keep this thing

Powered which is going to be a bit awkward but we can also make these RF transmitters which are kind of the same things where are we like so we get four of those and we can basically pop those on something and you can see there it’s

It’s all connected so now we’re a zero RF and we have no liquid dirt and something like that so now if we pop this it should in theory produce what we want I’m not entirely sure how it’s gonna work so if I leave it there did

That do anything that did that did some stuff so we got some liquid dirt here which is good now we want to process all of it we have enough to do so I do need to also maybe get a water mill up and running that would probably be a good idea

There are ways you can do that and I might just kind of go off to the side here just as a temporary thing it won’t be like this forever and we’ll just kind of go like this and kind of lock this off almost I’m just gonna do something

Like that and then I think if we put the water mill there it will be good so let’s have a look at the water mill recipe cuz I don’t know if we can actually make that yet so stone Burt don’t burnt some redstone torches like so split those up catch some wood

There we go so we should get two of those gears and then I think we needed another one of those resonating red sand crystals and then we need one more stone burn I think so let’s do that and that should give us at least one water mill which we can use

And have the water flowing around it and hopefully that works out in our favor so water mill crafts that up and I believe if we pop that there and then grab a bucket of water so this is currently not doing anything oh I was supposed to

Close that off whoops my bad I need to repack that up and replace it now there we go there we go so that’s generating 14 grid power which means how still should now be being powered which it is awesome so that’s all working that’s great that’s good that’s what we wanted so now

We technically have wireless transfer of power though it’s not very much of course okay so now we have that do we have we have lots of redstone in our output that’s good I’m gonna need some of that stored up so yeah the other thing I wanted to make was some Luna

Powell’s so get those going very nice and not having to crank that every now and then it’s great and it does give me a fair amount of power extra if we need it but I really want to get those lunar panels up and running because they will

Help make my life easier so we do need to kick this in a bit because we’re using a bit too much energy but hey it’s all good hopefully we’ll try and get like a coke of enough for something that would be pretty cool I do want to

Connect up all of these islands but I haven’t decided how I’m gonna do that yet or what material I’m gonna use so I’ll have to see about that for now I might just connect them all up as a giant stone platform but as you know I feel like that’s kind of

Boring because then you’re just in a standard slot the sky block at that point you know it kind of like the idea of flying to each platform okay we’re almost done here which will be good and there we go we should be done very nice

And then we can use these to mate oh we need another one of those resonating crystals there we go pop one of those in there and I should get the two polished stone and there we are there’s our lunar panels so I’ll put them here for now I know it doesn’t

Match up with the other side but that doesn’t matter so yeah they actually give us some decent energy so let’s look at what we need for obsidian because that’s one thing I want to get so we need some double compressed cobblestone for that so we’ve got some mechanical crafters so

The mechanical craft are set up for that it should be as simple as doing something like this getting some stone I’ll grab some more from there so we should be able to do something like this and that will output compressed cobblestone and then we should be able to go in here and do

Something like that to get the double compressed gallstone so like so and then we need to craft another one of those barrels which was of cobblestone I grabbed one of those there we are so give us that gives us a cobblestone barrel I’ve got some item trans

Decatur’s on me so do something like that like that like that pop that bad boy in there then we’re gonna have some double compressed cobblestone B output which is awesome then we can smelt this up for obsidian pop that in there speed it up there we go we have our first piece of

Obsidian awesome so the obsidian we can use now with some charcoal which I should have but I guess I’ve moved it and a bucket so I’m gonna keep the bucket that I’ve got make another one because why not go over and grab some charcoal because we have

Plenty crafting okay and then we should be able to do something like this and get a bucket of lava ingredients which is awesome so now we should have our first bucket of lava awesome awesome awesome and now we can fill up our seared tank with some lava and now we

Have a working smeltery yay finally we have the smeltery up and running which is really really awesome okay so the other thing that I need is I can put that in there for now so now that we’ve got the smeltery up and running we’ve

Got a few things we can do one of the things I wanted to look at was I need some more if this cobblestone because I don’t have any in my crafting area I want to get some gravel like so so I can get myself a stack of gravel because

There is a way to get brick from gravel and that’s gonna be what we want to do so I want to get myself some brick so we can start getting to work on getting a coke oven up and running which will be pretty cool because that will make life

So much easier for getting things like actual coal which is used in certain recipes that you can’t get anywhere else really so we are very nice very nice or working well okay and we’ll still have the water production and stuff like that as well

If we need it but there we go we got some bricks so the bricks you use where’s where are we where are we where okay yeah we need sandstone and gravel so sandstone is the same process basically so to get sand we need gravel to get gravel we need cobblestone so

We’ve got crab or gravel there and then we’ll have that put that in there get some sand like so so we’ve got some sandstone we’ve got some gravel we’ve got some brick we can make 24 hour just short with just short of that so let’s make some more gravel make some more

Sand there we go we should be able to get enough now there we go 27 she’s exactly what we need and we need a hammer as well the engineer’s hammer so we’re going to need string for that which we don’t have access to yet so I

Think for that we’re gonna need to get some some graphs up and running and I can’t remember how we get gross I think that’s just so it’s dirt and compost together in a carpenter so we should be at the point now where we should have it’s it’s cooking along that’s good that’s good

I I wish I could speed up the thing faster so the fermentor still has a little bit get a breakdown my my atomic Reconstructor temporarily just so I can access my generator here and just kind of give it a quick boost you know so that should be fine which means that

That’s all ticking along and basically I need to kind of speed this up like that and see what we get at the other side so we get almost done it doesn’t kind of matter if we hit anything else along the way why can eventually do is have like a

Furnace set up that will be actually useful no we are so can I speed that up and it outputs energy faster two places oh yeah I can so should be able to just do that and we’re almost done almost done almost there once we’ve got one bucket we’re good

There we go you now have a bucket of a liquid dirt so we have to use that in it’s weird because the recipe doesn’t actually show properly but we need a piece of gravel in a carpenter with 50 liquid dirt so we’re going to go ahead

And grab some of that and we’re going to go to our carpenter I’m gonna kill this recipe for now so we don’t need any of this and eventually I’ll have a separate set up for this just for now we don’t need it at the moment okay so we

Actually need to pour this as well and then I think every just break the carpenter and replace it it doesn’t keep its inventory yeah so then we pop that in there so we’ve got our liquid dirt pop that in there and speed this bad boy up and we should have some dirt coming

Through which we could just speed this up super quick time there we are and with dirt we can get grass which is awesome because that’s what we need I get a 20 dirt there we go we got 20 dirt so we need we should have some compost

Left so we have one piece we should have some some oak leaves hanging around did we not have oak leaves I feel like we should have had oak leaves hanging around somewhere I’m sure I had oak leaves maybe I didn’t oh well well we need to

Set that up again then so let’s do that do that in there do that in there pop that in there and now you get to see me rebuild my system I had before so that’s kind of cool so I did that and then I had a mechanical crafter on top chemical

Crafter this recipe like so then I dropped down here put that there popped that in like that so we get the saplings and then down here like that into their filter on the dead bushes which we have there stay here like that they go like that and then we have to

Set this to output the items like so now filter out filter those in we don’t need the leaves but that’s fine so again that should be all we need for that so I’ve at least got that setup done I was sure I had like a bunch of

Leaves hanging around I guess maybe they got lost when I broke the machine I guess let’s see anything I can think of or I’m just being silly beer so I can take that compost early so we’ve got one ready to go and I think it’s the same recipe isn’t it

Yeah carpenter so let’s just make another carpenter really that’s probably easier so we’ll make another one of those another one of those and crafting table and some plus no problem we can do that there we are new carpenter up and running very nice I don’t really have anywhere to put it so

For now I’ll put it there and I’ll grab one of my wireless RF transmitters pop that bad boy up there there we go and then we need water as the liquid of choice for that so I need to grab myself some of that there we go speed that bad

Boy up a bit just to make sure we’ve got water going in the tank there we go lovely lovely lovely yeah so that’s almost done and then we’re gonna start getting water in here which is good but this is a real mess of a setup I need to fix that’s for sure

Okay there we go and then we should have some water in here that we can bucket pop that in there and then at least we’ve got some water in here and then compost we can craft with the leaves which is good so you have a few leaves

Here okay so we’re almost done with that and then we’re good to go which will be awesome why I’m gonna do is I think maybe we’ll go set up a coke oven somewhere and I’m kind of I’m not sure where I want to put this I’m not sure I

Like this being over here but I’m not sure where I want to put it I mean there’s only a 3×3 structure so maybe I can put it off in the corner here and it won’t matter so much so we’ll do like this there we go nice so that’s gonna be

Where our coke oven is it’s gonna be right over here with the infinite cobblestone barrel which technically I could move at any point now because I don’t need it over there which is fine so we’ll pop that over there so that bits done okay cool so we’ve got our

Compost which is good we need one little bit of that we’ve got some dirt as well which we can use to make a farm and stuff like that for that those seeds and things the grass is gonna be the annoying part we also want to look at how we get bonemeal

Is there an easier way to get bonemeal peat and compost will get me 32 okay but I could potentially use the lens of color to get bonemeal right that’s considered a dye so that would also work I think so I’m gonna grab another one of those transmitters where

Do I want to put this suppose I could put it here could mine yeah that would work okay well let’s see just for reference I was gonna put one of these on it wasn’t like yeah so at least get some charge let’s see for reference how much it takes to

Get a piece of bone meal that’s why I’m curious about so how many times do we have to do this I’m just gonna just to make sure because I know this probably will bite me in the backside how many times I have two sockets at once twice I

Mean there’s 16 colors so it’s gonna be one of those answers 3 4 5 6 7 what is that slight light gray that’s great 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 14 zaps of that to get a bone meal so that’s gonna be good to know so 14 zaps of the

Lens of color will get me some bone meal now is there a way for me to get more of this is what I’m wondering like is there a way to I guess duplicate it that’s what I’m wondering but probably not also it’s not very energy efficient to be

Doing that just for reference so I am very well aware that that’s not the the most efficient use of my power generation at the moment but it’s good to know because then I can I can decide if I want to go that way because what I’m gonna do is

I’m gonna use this to kind of grow some plants and things when we get some cross up and running which would be pretty cool okay so we’re almost there almost there almost done so that was a kook ever done maybe we should look at getting a pulverizer as well well we’ve

Got a little while to look at so pulverizer what do we need I need a piston we need a machine frame we need some copper which we get how do we get copper that’s a good question isn’t it copper grips any easy way to get that

Pappa great no Cup or no so how do we get copper it’s also a case of which copper we get as well because there are different types of copper in the patch choice makes it difficult so molten copper might be where to look no nothing there because there’s usually a way to

Get the base resources like I know you can get tin for example if we look at tin where are we wearing I want molten tin really molten tin tin ingots we can get from where is it compressed gravel and then the tin can be used in alloying

To get other things the Morton copper however I can’t see a recipe for it other than just smelting down something that’s made of copper already so I’m sure there is a recipe for it I just don’t know what it is block of copper maybe no same thing Yeah I have no idea because I don’t think there’s an easier way to get any of this stuff but well we’ll see we’ll figure it out so we should be done now to get our second piece of compost which means we should be able to get our first

Piece of grass which is gonna be awesome whoops and is it not that one I bet it’s at the top isn’t it whoops there we go so now we get a grass block nice okay so I don’t know where I’m gonna put this I’m gonna do the usual and just kind of

Stick it off in a direction near something else so we’re gonna pop that down there and we’re just gonna kind of go in that kind of shape and I know I could use the building wand but I’m not going to so we are we now have a grass

Patch where we can eventually make crops and things but we have our first grass block which is good and we’ll have to keep this setup going for now that’s no problem yeah we got grass which is cool that is very handy give that a quick boost yes so we’ve we’ve done quite

Lastly we’ve got we’ve got our coke oven ready to go we still need to get the string for it to get the hammer but that’s no problem because we can get onto that next episode we’ve got ourselves pocket of lava it’s it’s a slow process to get but we

Can get it we also have a way of getting bomi although it’s very expensive but that’s something we can do maybe maybe we should do some of the compressed gravel quickly just kind of smelt that up and get ourselves some tin just so we’ve got some and then it might remind

Me later on and I’ll try and figure out how to get copper because I I feel like I’m probably missing something here with how to get it because there must be a way to get it I’m just missing so I’ll try and figure that out chances are it’s it’s something easy

That I’ve just skimmed over like there must be a way to get it so I’ll I’ll have to have a look at that but yeah I think I think we did good I think we’ve done good this episode we got we got our water system semi-automated I guess we

Definitely got the dirt going we’ve got a grass block which is awesome we’ve got some water mills going which is also awesome because that we that is kind of a key step we got ourselves a grass block which we can then spread and get a farm with which is cool and yeah we’ve
