Avomance – How to Make a Spooky House in a Spooky Garden in Minecraft 1.15: A Minecraft Collaboration (2020)

I’ve been challenged to make this already amazing house even better with an incredible exterior am I going to manage it don’t you go anywhere good morning good afternoon good evening and good night and welcome to another episode for me album as for this one is a little bit

Different I’m at night some surrounded by stuffs there’s a big old swamp and I’ve been challenged by those ridiculously good builders JJ and wild to do a collab build with them where I do the outside and they do the house I thought I’d be right they’ll do a little

Kind of seven by seven nine by nine now so I can do the terraforming around that oh no not these two these two a mental they’ve given me this in the background yeah hey guys what have you done to me well we built a house did we build a

House a Victorian house and it’s a lovely house think it was last occupied in the Victorian era absolutely but Wow and it’s the fact that we’re here at night surrounded by various mobs got anything to do with the idea behind this is it is rather spooky isn’t it it is a

Very spooky house but you see ever at the moment this house is just a house on a plain flat and you need to turn it into something incredible so just going over yeah no pressure on this one need your hot saw well I assure would be absolutely delighted to do the outside

Of this it looks like it needs a little bit of love that house is sensational and I think it deserves a really good surround so I will do why definitely oh we can’t wait to see it it’s gonna be so nice right well tell you what I’ll crack

On and when we’re done how about that that sounds great so we’re in the wall I’m so excited we see so we have got some serious work to do on this place here because first thing I want is a really cool entrance coming up from the swamp and then we’ve got to

Make the surrounding area look just a little bit spooky well maybe not a little bit spooky maybe actually really spooky and I’d like to think about getting some waterfalls in and a graveyard and all that kind of thing so lots to think about we’d better crack right on with it I

Started out by building a winding staircase down from the top level where the houses down to the swamp so when you row up in your boat you’ve got to walk up this winding staircase to get to the house It took quite a lot of block removal because I didn’t want there to be any sides facing out towards the swamp I wanted it to always be open I then put in a very small jetty so you got somewhere to bring your boat to its then

Time to texture up the side of this winding staircase using lots and lots of different blocks I’m using cobble I’m using brick I’m using understa I’m even going to be throwing in some gravel and some dead coral blocks as well I then decided to make this a more gravelly surer once it far more great all of that green grass just wasn’t lending to the feel of the build I Wanted to make the cliff faces a little bit more severe with an overhang so I built up those top edges with the extra dirt the grass will grow over it just to make it even more difficult for someone to climb up anywhere they can set the steps I’ve already built I then started digging some channels where I could potentially put in a little bit of a water flow or a downhill river because I think some water will give some real movement to this and also make you just a little bit spooky if I decorate it up right I then choose to

Away more of the cliff face just to make it even more straight up and down and opposing as if you wanted to climb up it And then I thought it’s just too great and I decided to bring in a little bit more texture far more simple here than we did before with some cobblestone and some andesite so after no small amount of tears I’m going to tell you we have managed to

Texture up pretty much all of it all sorry to go up there as well into the mountains didn’t go all the way around because I have a life but around here we managed to get mostly done oh I think I missed one there don’t want that like

That that is not a bread bread we’re gonna andesite that one that’s fine so again I’ll put in some steps some slabs and a site and cobble all the way around those mountains are dug in a little bit there just to try and differentiate the steps I’m going to bring you more bone

Blocks I think for these steps because it’s not sufficiently differentiated from the rest of the build so I think what I’m gonna do is I’m just gonna exchange some of these cobbles and some maybe some gaps for some extra bone blocks I think that’s what’s gonna be required

Just to try and give this step slightly more outline and versus what it had before even if I just literally do that that already starts to do that doesn’t it and then we can bring a little bit more in here as well maybe some bone block in there just to differentiate the

Outline like that I think that possibly is enough actually I’m quite happy with that what we’re gonna do now is I’m just going to get a little bit of water I’ve already got it my thing and we’re gonna start to bring in some channels of water

And this water is gonna come down from the mountains and this may or may not work I’m not entirely sure if we’re on a winner with this one yet but what I do need to do is I need to bring a channel because I wanted to come from this

Direction will come up if I make that stone and that stony also like that that can come off if I then continue to make this channel so as it comes from out of the mountain there I think I need to bring that like that if I then pop water

Gotta fill that hole there finally pop water there how does that flow we’re just watching the flow of that don’t want it to come out to the right no it doesn’t but let’s just make sure by doing that and it flows yes that’s perfect so the water flows down the

Mountain and into this area here and we’ve surrounded it by gravel already and then what I’m going to do is I’m just gonna dig out a bit of a just a relatively small light I’ve no even gonna call it a like it’s more of a pond

Get rid of the Roses there at the moment make it fairly random and in size and shape like this I don’t want it too big but I want it big enough to be able to notice and we’re going to make this entirely water source blocks as well so

Something along those lines I’m then gonna base this so as the bottom is different types of stones just one deep that’s all we need I’m gonna put plenty of gravel in the bottom of it as well and then I just I’ll finish that off in a sec let’s just make this all water

Source blocks like that by coming around with those is that pretty much done not quite that and that that makes that entirely water source that’s brilliant and then what we’re gonna do is I might bring those like that and then grab my bucket of water and just take out these

Blocks here and allow that water to flow give it a little bit of assistance downhill in this direction and I want to follow where it goes I don’t need to get too wide but I wanted to be noticeable I tried to make the channel where did we lose right

Okay so we need to put another channel in there to allow that to flow down a little more that needs to go down like that and that then comes out into the water right okay I think we are actually winning I can start to build that up a

Little bit but all in all we’ve got a relatively decent water stream coming along if I take those out and yeah that water stream works rather well we’ll decorate that up that will work perfectly and then around the other side I also want to do exactly the same thing

With this channel here so once I’ve done that I’ll be back we finished those water streams I put just a few sea pickles in just one or two sea pickles every now and again to give it an eerie glow and we’ve just arranged a few lily

Pads a little bit of sugar cane some string on top of the shorter ones to stop them growing and some sea grass and the waterfalls come down I think really rather well with that little eerie light coming off of them I think they give sufficient light to show that there’s

Actually a waterfall but not too much as to light it up so as it’s no longer spooky we are still really trying to achieve that spooky film we are starting to work on the top now I’ve started to what where’s that JJ JJ what is that yep

I thought I just can’t see in the project now okay I’ve calmed down I’ve had a cup of tea and now I am over the fact that someone has put that demon Block in front of me we’ve got a winding path I’ve deliberately made it ridiculously winding as he goes all no

Spider jockey as it deliberately winds around to the top there we’ve got a lot of work to do on this top we’re going to bring graveyards and decorations plenty of jack-o’-lanterns obviously things like that and just make it look like it’s well spooky I can fit a few custom trees coming on

As well let’s crack on with it so I finished off the detailing of this pathway using gravel cost a little bit of the dark wood that we echoed up from this winding staircase coming up from the swamp and then very light birch colored fences because I wanted to again

Echo the color of that end stone in the house we moved on to a custom tree I wanted to make it quite big and gnarly as well with not too many leaves but I did want to put some leaves on it I was tempted to leave it completely bare but

It didn’t quite sit well with me time to work on just a small graveyard and I thought I’d keep one of those graves open andesite walls work really really well as a gravestone and then a small tomb texturing it up with different blocks and again and asite walls at the

Back to give it a bit of lift I then brought an iron fence all the way around just to encapsulate that and then we brought some paths into moving through the gravestones and all around the outside I felt it needed another smaller tree in there too so I made one of those similar to the one at the front I thought I’d build up a few extra little rocky outcrops just to give a bit more interest to that flat area and then lie them up with a few lanterns and also some jack-o’-lanterns as well really thought I needed an extra custom tree and this one’s roots are hanging over

The edge of that cliff this one is also dead as a doornail I thought I’d add some real trees into some guy and spruce around the back of the house just to offset that big grey of the background matching up with some of the trees that are already there and

Given a bit of a green relief against the grayness I also quite like the way the ground changes around the giant spruce as well that podzol makes a real difference then we put in a little grove of standard oak trees just again to give a little bit of offset behind that

Graveyard and then bone milled everywhere to get that swampy green and blue nasai think that’s quite eerie looking Figured with all the jack-o’-lanterns there’s bound to be a pumpkin patch somewhere on this land so I put a little pumpkin patch in front of the graveyard then obviously spooky places need spiderwebs we’re spider webbing it up but not just on the trees we’re also causing some

Spray at the bottom of all the waterfalls as you come across the water of the murky swamp the glow of the house invites you to walk up the stairs it’s only when you’re halfway up the stairs that you realize this may not have been a good idea you’re greeted with cobwebs and

Graveyards custom trees and windy paths lava pits bats the size of vultures waterfalls running round the outside fizzing as they float down the mountain towards the swamp an overhanging cliff that couldn’t possibly be scaled unless you go up the inviting path I think if you’re in this swamp maybe

You might want to avoid an overnight in this hotel this one was so much fun massively outside my comfort zone as well which is really good I enjoyed doing it when I’ve never done it before and I’ve never really done spooky really really pleased with the way it’s come

Out let’s just come and have a look I expect Acula Lee pleased with the way that we got this cliff face all textured up with the various stone textures it’s really really nice and I like it very very much I think that is my favorite part of the entire build and absolutely

Took more time than anything else in the build as well but all in all it came out rather well with the rocky outcrops on both sides the custom trees the really simple graveyard I mean super super simple graveyard that fella what are you doing here boy go away and the windy

Path and it’s just very flat I didn’t want to do too much up and down and put a little bit of a mound in there with a kind of waterfall cascading spring into a pond but it’s bubbly because it’s come from Hell this water it’s hell’s water

But all told really really cool I’m happy I wonder what Jackson Wilde are gonna think of it Jax what I’m so excited about showing you what I have done up there it’s not I am excited to ki awesome right so we’re not right on their docks

You have just rode up across the spooky swamp and you have found yourself on this dock at the bottom of these stairs feel free to turn around and look at the stairs they look amazing all my green man the wondering comment is not there you’ve seen nothing right he’s invisible

So just coming up the stairs it’s a little bit spooky but coming up the stairs though wind these days don’t fall off the edge there danger these are not safe stairs des des des don’t get the death stare and then you come up into the area oh oh my goodness

Now this booty so I’m let’s let’s fly because the ground is made of boogers right so basically what I went with I thought I’m not going to make this all floaty terrain bouncy up-and-down hilly I kept it as flat as possible but I brought in some accents with some rocks

That float down the side of the hill and obviously brought it they look great love it they have a lava pit a nice windy path brought in the chorus because I felt I’ll do that really last minute I literally I’ve just said I’m gonna come and say yeah that was before I even

Did the chorus it did those in the last five minutes really pleased with the way that come out yeah and we’ve if you look at the water pause they’re bubbling because this is hell water this is bad water don’t go in the water I’ve protected boots um don’t worry I

Think I dunno want to be staying overnight in this hotel I I don’t think so either it is hot boo-ki is the dangerous hotel imagine asleep really a wanted sleepwalker they decide they’re going to go for a sleep walk they can either go on to the deadly waters or just falls

Off the cliff or into the lava all my goodness I love the way this lava smirking yeah fabulous very hot needs to be steamy that’s my personal opinion we’ve got two waterfalls coming down the side of both sides just to separate it out a little bit oh yeah there we go

That is and these bats the size of vultures keep rocking up green eyes huge bats you know huge this has really turned this build from a great build to an absolutely amazing and fantabulous one hasn’t it it looks absolutely brilliant I must say I love this graveyard yeah
