Do you need a circle or three in your life look no further I’m gonna help you out right now don’t you go anywhere Good morning good afternoon good evening and good night what time you’re watching this next episode for me and Matt we’re gonna do a relatively quick one today because what I’ve been asked quite a lot by several people is have a how do you make a circle or something that’s round

Rather than square that we’re working with cubes these cubes have got six squares and eight corners and as a result circles ain’t so easy but what I’m going to do we’re going to build circles up to 30 blocks in diameter so 3-0 blocks right across which would be

How are you plenty of good structures and not only can you make circles and you can make balls and spheres and all kinds of stuff like that so we’re going to crack on with that starting right down with one and going all the way up

To 30 and if you want to jump some feel free just to fast-forward through the video if the smaller ones aren’t so interesting but we’re going to always through this relatively quickly so feel free to pause the video whenever you want to just make a note of what the

Actual dimensions of it are so let’s crack right on with this so the first one is eight diameter of one unsurprisingly bang there you go that is eight diameter of one then we’re going to come up to a diameter of 2 so that’s two blocks across and again this one’s

Not too complicated look one two three four it’s very little you can do with these little tiny numbers same is true for free freeze equally rubbish because three is like one two three like that like that and like that now some people do that but for me

That’s just a diamond it’s not a circle so if you’re looking at building circular structures that get smaller and smaller that is actually the feather you want and what we want to do now is we just want to start to develop this and moving into four so with four we’re

That is 6 and then 7 we start to actually make a shape which is a whole new concept in circle making so we’re going to go one two just like that and then we’re going to go one more one out in the diagonal one two three at the

Diagonal one two three diagonal one two three diagonal and then you’ve got seven diameter three four five six seven ie very similar to seven except we’re going to come down Oh diagonal for diagonal for diagonal and one two three four and a diagonal so that is eight

Nine not much more exciting and I’ve got to be honest it’s actually one two three four five diagonal one two three four five don’t haggle can you see a pattern that each in nine and then ten starts to get a little bit more interesting now you’ve got some

Choices with ten you can do it one of two ways so the first way you can do it is by coming I’m going to go one two three four and then you come in two diagonals one two three four two diagonals one two three four two diagonals one two

Three four and two diagonal so gives you one two three four five six seven eight nine oh nine about done nine well we’re done here we go one two three four five six seven eight nine ten there you go you’re not going that you know what

You’re doing that is 10 now some people with ten like to put a block here as well and mathematically speaking this is actually accurate this is what a true circle looks like when it has got a ten diameter and I can kind of see it but some people prefer it without that block

There and you kind of just need to make it or what you want to do we’re going to go block conservative and we’re going to take these blocks and I’m looking at them in we’re gonna take these blocks out so let’s look now that is our first 10 1

Through 10 diameter so the next one is 11 can we go 1 2 3 4 5 then 2 and then we come across 1 2 3 4 5 & 2 1 2 3 4 5 & 2 1 2 3 4 5 & 2 so that is 11 and then

12 we start to get a little bit more I guess you could argue we get a little bit more interesting with 12 because we’ve got side of for now so 1 2 3 and 4 and then we come along to down like that

Into a cross and we go 1 2 3 4 let me go to across to up 1 2 3 4 2 up to across like that and 1 2 3 4 to across and to up there is your 12 that looks alright the knees starting to look a little bit more

Circle like now and 13 very much like 12 except you’ve guessed it we come down 5 1 2 3 4 5 and come in – and they come across and go 1 2 3 2 4 5 come into and across 1 2 3 4 5 this is the ultimate

Counting with a bow we do lots of counting with a vowel in this channel we are all about numeracy and I am now counting up to 30 what do I say yeah we’re going 30 onward so I forgot what 1 that is that is 13 so 14 actually revert

Back just a little bit so we’ve come down here 1 2 3 4 5 now 14 and we’ve got to go oh no got to think about this 106 a fall so just adding me a damn you picture so 1 2 3 4 5 and 6 and then we

This is the genuine way that you build up these circles now some people like to do their circle like this when you get to this size and you know what that’s very legitimate but really if we’re talking about it being mathematically correct it has to be like whoops I’ve

Got me over again it’s got to be like that now I’m doing this in wood so as you can see the blocks that’s all it’s not like I’ve just got some kind of wood fetish that I want to put onto everybody right now but that is the I think

Personally for me a really easy way I’ve seen the block camp so that is 14 now 15 gets a little bit more interesting again so we’re going to come one two three four five and then we 15 becoming one two and then one and then out one two

And then 1 2 3 4 5 1 2 1 1 2 1 2 3 4 5 1 2 1 1 2 1 2 3 4 5 1 2 there you go so that is 15 so it’s time to get quite set of code like now if we start looking up

Nice looking circles now eighteen not totally dissimilar you can probably guess and there is a pan we’re going to go one two three four five six and then we’re just going to do exactly the same thing again that we did last one except it’s six on the flat sides get that

To but again we’re talking about what is mathematically correct how would a computer do this and that is actually the correct one so that is your twenty six twenty seven we go back to seven on the side because you get a little bit curvier we’re going to count seven from

And this is completely optional of these four and come out like that and again if you would rather do that you absolutely can but it actually makes for a very slightly pointy sided circle if you look at it you know properly properly so that is your 28 we’re nearly there

29 next 29 is 7 live in a style window so to come down here and start with a nice 7 so to survive 1 2 3 4 5 6 & 7 and then we’re gonna go 3 1 2 & 3 and then

The circles except we’re going to use a circle that’s 45 across so as you can see all you need are a few circles to start making really big sphere so this is a 45 radius sphere so sphere being a ball and what we’re gonna do they’re just going to show you this little

Quadrant here and this is what you need to make a 45 radius and that’s you come out so the bottom is nine so one two three four five be in the middle six seven eight nine and then you come out another four three four and then you

Come out – that’s – and then you come out another two and then you gotta go up one six times so it’s one two three four five and six and then you come out and up – once up to twice and up four and then one two three and four there you go

And that makes the night and you’ve got basically three circles 345 radius circles there that make your kind of outline of a sphere and all you need to do to make your sphere is to fill it in just fill it on the edge and then go up and then come in and

Fill around the edge and go up and fill around the edge so just gonna have to do with that now and you’ll see what I mean I’m just going to do this kind of one-eighth of it just here so let’s crack right on And then you have it that is at one quadrant of the sphere it’s difficult to tell when it’s the sphere when you’ve only got one little bit of it but that is what the quadrant would look like and that’s why they all would finish up looking like when you are done so dead

Easy really and that is how you can make some really really large ball shapes in Minecraft don’t you tell me you can’t make balls in Minecraft because you can look just like this we’ve got the top quarter of that ball completely finished I’m not gonna do any more because I want

To leave this as you can see those circles but that is how you construct a sphere so maybe you want to make a planet or maybe you want to make a Death Star or maybe you want to do something that means you need a big ball this is
