Better Minecraft EP20 The Abyss Dimension

Little bit of work just a little bit i went ahead and got all of our dragons organized and situated here at our base um just our lovely village that we’re building up of course i don’t have any villagers yet i don’t know i don’t know if we’re gonna do villagers

I kind of wouldn’t like these barrels would they um but i have them all nice and situated here they’re setting here if you kind of get up close and personal with them um you can sometimes get them to be picked up um i tried my best to align them in here

As best as possible which is kind of funny looking but i love this like sort of build setup with the platform and kind of using the deep slight stairs um i love these posts and i went with that post design um similar to how we’re using these posts over here

Um but i kind of based it off of this sort of setup as you can see very reminiscent now off topic a little bit uh we’re talking a little bit about this but let’s take a look at this grindstone i didn’t know until i read someone’s comment

In the comment section i think in the last episode and they had mentioned this ever so slightly like if i would have grazed over it i would have been like i would have completely missed this i didn’t even think to try this we can rip enchants off of the gear it costs levels

Like so there is a cost to it it’s not free but we can completely rip in chance off of things what that’s incredibly powerful like we have a lot of gold or a lot of iron we could technically you know rip off enchants off of gear particular types of gear

Like gold which is highly enchantable and then just just you know burn that item basically because it’s going to delete the item and give us all of the the stuff for it like a helmet this would be really great for a helmet so you can get like the aqua affinity

And get everything on a helmet like helmets are super cheap so and they have particular enchants this would be a great way to get that or for a sword if you want particular in chance for a sword or for an axe or man i wish i would have known that

Earlier that would have been an easier way to end chance out of me just grinding over and over and over again i could have just done that oh my goodness so i was thinking about taking a look at this last chapter section however it says the last chapter

But there are a lot of utility stuff that i’ve seen that is within this mod and it doesn’t seem like too horrible to get a hold of right we actually have these this material here we have eyes of ender and we have paper like we we have everything to be able to

Make this um so let’s take a look so i believe i still have yeah some of this uh lauren and eyes of ender we can just go ahead and make one real quick i have plenty of this and there we go so let’s go ahead and

Put this together i believe it was like this if my my mind uh yeah i can remember things and we’ve made the letter okay so let’s open up request book and let’s see what we get we get some more of that we get some obsidian okay

I don’t quite know uh exactly what we need to do but this letter right here is supposed to unlock the guidebook it says that um is it because we’re supposed to combine this with a book it gives no further instruction we must look upon the wiki to find out i have no idea

This letter will unlock okay um did it actually say in the in the quest the quest is not like there is nothing here in the quests for you to read you’re just like ah just gotta click on it just kind of gotta figure this out on your own so

After doing a little bit of research well it’s uh i wish there was a little bit of direction as far as kind of what you need to get started because i don’t know if every every single mod is going to require a portal but this one in particular does

Require a portal just like the nether and then we also need a way to activate it so similar to the blue sky mod that we’ve been playing around with um this one is going to be very similar to that uh so i need these two items this one’s

Very simple to make just a bucket of lava this one however requires a bunch of obsidian and the uh the loren uh material which we find in those plants there are plants all over the place we might have to find a little bit more because this is actually used a lot in

This mod so finding some way uh to get this uh sustainably from the plants i don’t know maybe there’s ore that this is found oh there is or i can see it right here like it shows that you can craft it but apparently this is an ore so hopefully we can find

That ore in this dimension that’d be kind of nice but yeah it’s used a lot so it’s something we’re definitely going to be needing so now as far as obsidian goes it’s actually quite easy for us um if we take a look right over here when we first started we had found

Those obsidian towers that were just spikes that were just sticking up out of the ground i don’t know if uh those were generated from the abyss mod i have no idea what those were generated from but it is a huge quantity of obsidian and i did say that

They were gonna be pretty handy later on yeah look look at all of this obsidian like this is super nice and i think it’s i mean it’s just here for the taking i i would assume unless there’s something special inside yeah no it’s literally just a bunch of obsidian

Oh super nice because we can collect tons of this stuff look at that in no time at all uh however we don’t need too much of it we only need enough to make a portal worth we get two per five um so just a few put together and

Uh that should totally be enough so here we go all we need is technically 10 um i am going to make uh 12 just because i want a full-scale portal and then what we all obviously need the uh the bucket so i think i have buckets laying around somewhere there’s my infinity bucket

Yeah i might have to make some and just like that we have ourself the abyss portal activator oh boy i’m kind of uh nervous as to what like what is going to happen in this dimension like i’ve i from what i’ve seen so far kind of spoiling

Myself i i feel like this dimension is really familiar to some other mods that i’ve played with like in other versions of minecraft so this is going to be very interesting to see how this uh this uh this happens because i’m pretty sure there was like an abyss mod

Where these monsters would come out of portals and attack you and this looks very similar and they would drag you into the portals this looks uh very similar to that so it’s going to be made just like this and just like with any portal one two three and then four

And then across the top and we complete now activation is like this oh oh that’s not good uh and apparently this some what spreads well i hope that doesn’t spread too far that’s kind of that’s kind of kind of scary actually that that’s spreading i hope it doesn’t take over a base or

Something like that well we have this i’m gonna clear my inventory out and we’re gonna take a step into this portal and see what it’s all about well i think i’m pretty well trimmed down here as far as all of my stuff being sorted i’m using this definitely as a mass

Storage and my bag is now nice and clean so let’s go through this portal oh boy i don’t know what to expect our shaders gonna work yep shaders are broken but there’s a crystal gold crystal golem near me all right time to swap shaders up so

This is what the dimension looks like it is very interesting we definitely have some enemies over here the zombies there’s a crystal golem nearby there’s some stuff going down here there’s definitely a bad vibes i’m getting from this very bad vibes and it is super super dark

Is this this is mud this is okay this is mud there’s little rocks okay but what exactly do we need to do here that is the question like what what do we need to do now it gives me this right here and says that this right here unlocks a guidebook however you

Can’t use it i can’t find a way to use it anyways um and any kind of wiki on this mod just basically doesn’t exist oh oh oh what are you what are you quit what are you oh my gosh they look like little dragons they’re raptors they’re little raptors what

That’s exactly what that was it said they were raptors so yeah there’s uh there’s some mobs here as you can see they’re not doing a whole lot of damage to me um we can fly up in this dimension as you can see it’s just a whole lot of

Bright trees mainly because of the shaders without the shaders it is incredibly dark by the way like almost to the point oh boy i just got hit with fear and when you hit with fear everything goes black or scared you’re scared no oh this dimension this dimension is not doing me doing me

Well right now you see we just got hit with that for some reason what is this wait hold up a minute lorenzo i don’t who’s lorenzo who’s this this abyss guard apparently you’re not guarding nothing anymore you dropped golden nuggets so yeah i i’m not quite sure who lorenzo is

Uh do we trade you something is this who i give this letter to hello wanderer there’s a world called what frost world you can find a portal in a cave system there if you found the frost world go back to me and let me know wait uh Uh eternal dark is this a part of this mod it says it is it says his name is from the abyss where was that from where is there a guide or something that’s what i’m trying to find how do i access what am i getting myself into this is carlos over here

What does carlos want is it another quest because apparently there’s some quests that i’m just and now we have an elder so there’s an abyss melon gives a huge power slowly regenerates your health uh yeah i’ll find it for you so where’s these advances coming from i like food started

I because i’m not seeing these in here unless i’m missing something apparently there is an elder nearby and a wolf level four all right we this level four wolf is definitely not powerful powerful enough to handle me apparently so we have all kinds of different woods

And stuff the uh the crystal golem is definitely in her face with a boss bar trying to figure this out uh um maybe i can do more flying but maybe the flying is what gives me uh some of the fear issues um so the boss bars are gone but this is

A tower here and this is going to have a night hunter oh oh shoot they teleport you whoa whoa hey that’s not fair quit oh we gotta break that spawner that’s not good how am i supposed to oh he’s getting hurt from me do i have thorns no i don’t have thorns

What was that oh there’s another one here yeah let’s not i don’t want to deal with the spawners yeah let’s not is there something else here and there’s spawners all over the place here there’s nothing here though like there’s literally nothing no chest or anything oh boy but there’s a whole lot of

Arachnid and nope right here let’s not come on what what are you you look like a spooner but you’re not a smoother and another raptor oh man that is not a friendly looking oh it tell what’s teleporting me whatever it is is doing some damage ow

Not cool so i just found something that i think is useful it looks like it it’s useful from the uh the what the items are used for uh these things right here have node shards which can be used to make a ring of speed gives you a speed buff

Kind of cool um now with this like this right here we can see what these are used for as well i think that’s gonna be our only way to get through this i have no idea um this allows you to see into these through walls it’s a pretty cool ring

What’s these base rings okay the base rings require iron but surrounded by the loren and i don’t know if we can find that here and then we also need these unknown gems um as well so lots of lots of deep hidden mystery for us to uncover apparently

I almost wonder if the crystal golem is where we find that crystal but the thing is we have to actually find a crystal golem and there’s no telling where that’s at oh my goodness i think i have found why there’s no guidebook the guidebook is technically a part of the abyss

Mod but this pack is only rocking the abyss 2 mod which completely leaves out of this one which leaves out the book so basically we’re blind i was reading through the discord as well and it does seem like a lot of the stuff from this mod is just not implemented yet like just

Not fully ready which is kind of kind of unfortunate oh man i was super excited to to jump into this mod but it’s it’s yeah this right here by the way is just regular overworld stuff you are not though you are a lever level four zombie look at that damage you’re super slow

But i’m not hardly doing anything at all to you i love the particle effects so yeah there’s a lot of cool stuff in here we just don’t have full access to everything yet basically it’s so weird seeing this in this dimension like this uh there isn’t upstairs to this yeah

This is the one that’s sort of locked down we have basically all the loot from this anyways i’m not too concerned about this area but yeah that this mod basically the yeah the guidebook is not available yet so really the guidance to what we should be doing is kind of

Yeah i mean i guess we can try and pinpoint very specific items but not knowing what anything does is going to be it’s going to make things a little bit harder right you want to make things hard that’s for sure yeah there’s nothing in here either these are the only structures that i’ve

Really seen so far and i’ve been flying around a little bit i’m gonna keep doing some more flying around maybe i’ll uh maybe i’ll find what that golem is i have no idea so walking around i have definitely discovered a few things these plants give you the loran these fires here

Give you these fire nugs which are used in a lot of the crafting recipes for things don’t know where the gems are at but that’s definitely one thing also there is some other plants like these plants right here um or of course these are the regular loran flowers

Um but just kind of break some of the plants and uh yeah there’s some other vines that are definitely worth taking um let’s see if i can find an example of them they give these life nuggets um they’re like uh they’re kind of like this but they’re taller

They’re like these yeah i think these are them right here you just break these i think these are them nope see there’s a lot of things that look exactly like what i’m needing okay this this guy is a soul goal does it drop anything did he drop an ender pearl

Man there’s so many so many different things so yeah that’s definitely not it but they look very similar to this there’s all kinds of plant life and every single thing seems to drop something different so that’s sort of what i’m working with here so i’m now back to where my portals at

And you know according to some of the research that i’ve done um for this mod it seems that mining is the thing that we are going to have to do um and of course this pick is incredibly fast we also have our our vane mine pick yeah i’m gonna have to

I’m gonna have to go mining that seems to be the thing that we have to do um so i might actually run back to the base get some torches and then we’re gonna be heading down down deep underground but basically around diamond level okay so i have mine down i have

Basically all the stuff that i need to get down here um we’re not very far down while 38 and i found this cave torches still work but look at this oh so there definitely there’s ore um so that is nice so we can definitely find more of this ore down here

Potentially but this isn’t what i’m looking for i’m looking for those unknown crystals which we should be able to apparently find down here somewhere somewhere somehow we’re supposed to be able to find this look at this this kind of kind of a tool that the music though man that ambience game sound sometimes

Man just completely throws me off it scares scares me so much um because i haven’t really seen any monsters g just yet i’m hoping i’m not going to be knocking on wood soon there’s a lot of these uh plants down here and crystal golems don’t know where these guys are coming

From oh there’s more of that ore see i’ll definitely take some of this because like i said this is used so much in this mod apparently all right so let’s i’m going to get down to y level diamond ish and yeah we’re going to do some more exploring down here

Oh look what i found that’s a different kind of ore i’ve not seen that one so far so i started branching off into these sides since we kind of started right there um i’ve tunneled all the way down there way down there this is my first branch

And we went right into a cave the luck never ends and then we’re gonna take this this is super super sketchy but hey i’m doing it and i never know what to expect with these now what is this oh it is it’s an unknown gym which is the

Oh we got two of them it’s exactly what we need exactly what we need by the way there’s other aura in here like this you don’t just get in this ore there’s actually like inside of the deep slate and also tough which is weird that it generates here i

Think the other mod is sort of conflicting with this mod as you can see it’s adding different ore variants which probably aren’t actually a thing like normally so yeah it is what it is this room is kind of nice look at all this material here so i’m gonna grab all of this up

There we go maybe even grab this thunder oh boy yeah as much as this much much of the stuff we can carry the better honestly um i’ve seen some more down here there’s a was that bedrock is that lead down to bedrock what is this well there’s definitely more of it why

Is all this all janky it’s all like really broken is this intentional is this mossy abyss gravel i do have a shovel is this used for anything no it’s not it’s just another thing huh who there’s uh by the way stay away from these roots these plants

Some of them will catch you on fire doesn’t see some of them drop is that a chest uh excuse me uh okay oh i’ll take that dude an abyss diamond what is this used for this is used for weapons isn’t it let’s fly okay okay there’s okay there’s some stuffs in here

Is there only one is this like a dungeon like a maze dungeon or something because i am breaking this whole thing down there’s another chest oh it has an unknown jim in it and it has more of the melon slices which i believe were a quest item oh there’s another one oh

And it’s got all this stuff in it yes yes and more yes it even has an enchanted book vision of the ender what what is vision of the ender does that give you like night vision in this dimension that’d be kind of useful wouldn’t it oh yeah i’m just breaking this whole oh

There’s another chest oh my gosh we have so many of this diamonds these only stacked to four hold on i’ve got to throw this stuff in here this is only section four did i even miss those i guess it only stacks the four oh my goodness so after getting back and

Looking to see what we can actually make and what rings would be the best i like the one with the speed there is a few different rings this one gives you uh able to burn nearby entities a lot of them are attack based um so this one lets you see through

Walls this gives you ultra protection we don’t have the ability to make this one yet uh the invisibility which we technically already have gives you a speed buff which we do have the ability to make this super cool this one lets you uh like force nearby entities to fly

Up um strike lightning this one is a pretty cool being able to teleport this one i’m kind of interested in and then also the one that lets you breathe underwater and makes you faster this one’s kind of cool um so this ring i want to eventually make

And then i actually kind of want to make this ring here uh which is lifestyle so it requires these life nuggets which we do have i think enough life nuggets to make this ring so if we take a look this is the ring of regen and all it takes is any type of

Stone and for us to surround that stone and i think we’re good like that’s pretty powerful um i just have to find my stone yeah so let’s head up here um also uh some other things i’m going to need i’m going to need all of this lorann i’m also going to need the

Gym and i think that’s it for this ring uh that an iron so we’re basically the iron because we have to surround these with iron so let’s take this and this makes the the ingots and i think this stuff does this have armor no so this is basically just for the ring

And so if we take a look at the ring base you can see that’s going to be eight of these with an unknown gem for some reason it doesn’t want to allow that to craft so why is the unknown gem not allowed so this has to be this gem

Okay which is surrounded there which gives you two of those oh my gosh it’s even better and then we get the ring base oh man and then we just need a couple more of these so four of those and then this nugget goes around stone we just need enough for four right is

This uh not actually stone so it says stone crafting materials so it needs cobblestone cobblestone i think that’s that’s what it’s needing let’s head back up you know i could do this all for my inventory because we do have a craft table in inventory i guess

Let’s try this again life stones yes one two three four and we’re about to have a regeneration ring right and it says uh to so right click to activate oh it has a ability timer it has a use a durability so i’m assuming this can be

You can apply mending to it yes okay that’s kind of cool so it’s it’s a use case thing so he definitely it’s a it’s a use case regeneration but that’s not bad having a just having regeneration 3 at any time you need it that’s pretty powerful honestly
