Nether and better end are made by the same mod developer therefore they work excellently together you can download data packs resource packs and a handful of mods to enhance your experience with better nether and better end but be aware that some of these add-ons have yet to be updated to 1.17.1

Since i’m reviewing two decently sized mods i’m going to skip over a good chunk of content but don’t worry i’m still going to cover both mods well let’s take a look at the better nether first unlike the better end mod the better nether mod is shader friendly

Better nether adds in 21 new biomes four important structures six new mobs dozens of blocks dozens of plants seven consumables and 2.5 sets of gear out of the 21 biomes i’m going to be showing you five some of the biomes have custom ambient sounds and each biome has their

Chance of finding multiple structures out of these structures you should look out for four of them the small lava pyramid doesn’t have a whole lot going on but you can find a respawn anchor in the center the large lava pyramid has a few chests with mid-tier loot there’s

Ancient debris and a wither skeleton spawner in the tomb next to the chests the lava fortress is a full-on dungeon you can expect to fight wither skeletons blazes and nagas the chest will yield better loot as you advance through the dungeon just like the other structure there’s ancient debris in the tombs also

There is a ruby block on each side of the dungeon make sure to grab that because you can make armor and tools with it the nether city is the biggest structure in this mod however it can vary in size this structure has different sections it can have a library common room different

Types of walkways enchantment room living space great room and so much more for looting this place you can get different types of forges and enchantment tables all the decoration blocks you want respawn anchors and a variety of vegetation there’s more than that but to just give

You an idea that’s what you can expect as said before there are six mobs the firefly is a passive and fragile mop that is attracted to nether flowers the hydrogen jellyfish is a passive and fragile mob that varies in size and it can be killed with a single punch on

Death it will explode the naga is an aggressive mob that will shoot projectiles which will inflict wither the flying pig is a passive mob that can be bred with netherwort they’re also a great source of food the jungle skeleton is an aggressive mob that is found in the nether jungle it

Can spawn with a low tier sword a bow and or shield the skull is an aggressive and fragile mop it will set the player on fire when it attacks there are a ton of decoration blocks you can get from this mod there’s also furniture but it’s mostly limited to

Chairs and stools at the moment there are three new oars to find nether lapis nether ruby and cincinnati ruby and especially since nasite are important for tools and armor make sure to collect them there are three nether themed furnaces and a cincinnati site forge the forge is broken in this version but

Normally it will smell anything as twice the speed the nether brewing stand and the cincinnati site anvil as far as i’m concerned are exactly like the vanilla minecraft variants did you gather enough ruby and cincinnati you can craft armor tools and weapons with them the set as cincinnati is slightly weaker than

Diamond you can combine a diamond with the tools to make it stronger than diamond these upgraded tools will not burn in lava or fire this set of ruby is slightly weaker than diamond but is slightly better than the normal since in a sight to wrap up the

Better nether mod let’s look at the consumables to craft most of the food you will need to make a stale ignite bowl the wart soup mushroom stew bowl with black apple and cooked hook mushroom will restore 2-3 hunger bars the black apple will restore 2 hunger and give you regeneration 2 for 3

Seconds the agave medicine gives you regeneration 3 for 2 seconds and the herbal medicine gives you regeneration 4 for 1 second now on to the better end mod the better end is not cheater friendly and it adds in 25 new biomes four noteworthy structures six new mobs dozens of blocks

Dozens of plants 14 consumables three and a half sets of gear infusions and an upgrade system there are 25 gorgeous biomes better and adds in and like before i’ll be showing you five some of these biomes have custom atmosphere sounds and you can find either vegetation or rock formations the foggy

Mushroom land is filled with beautiful mushroom-like trees and is spotted with small bodies of water the mega lake is my favorite biome it is mostly made up of water and is home to the lotus flowers the crystal mountains are coated with aurora-like crystals jutting out of the surface these crystals can be harvested

And are used for important crafting recipes the title of the nasties biome goes to the sulphur springs other than a dreary atmosphere you can also expect to encounter active hydrothermal vents and occasionally underwater caves finally we have the istar field this unique biome consists of multiple star-like formations scattered around in

An area if you get too close to the center of these stars you will turn into a human icicle as you traverse these biomes you will encounter various structures out of these structures there are four that are noteworthy the giant istar is the mother of all ice stars it

Spawns very rarely in istar fields other than it being massive this star doesn’t offer anything too exciting the distant relative of the giant eye star is the giant mossy glosh room this behemoth also doesn’t have anything interesting going on but can be useful as a vantage point the last two structures are legit

Structures the first one being a ruined version of the end ship all you will find within the ruins is disappointment or in other words empty chests and no elytra lastly there is something called the internal portal the eternal portal’s sole purpose is to send you back to the

Overworld you must place a late game item called eternal crystals on each of the pedestals to activate it just like better nether the better end mod has six new mobs the dragonfly is a weak passive mob that is found in wet biomes the end slime varies in size and

Also has biome variants meaning the slime has a different look in each biome it spawns in the end fish is a weak passive mob that can be used as a food source this shadow walker is an aggressive mob you will only find it in the shadow forest biome

The cubazoa is a weak passive jellyfish-like mop it can be found in bodies of water the silk moth is another weak passive mob you will only find it in the blossoming spires biome there are decoration in building blocks galore there are craftable pedestals that actually work meaning you can properly

Put an item on display there are also craftable lanterns there are two versions the bulb lanterns and the normal lanterns there are three oars for you to collect and you can find them in the caves of most biomes ender ore is used to obtain ender dust which is used

For upgrading materials for armor and tools amber oar is used to obtain ammo gems this is used for infusions more on infusions later thalysium ore is the starter ore for the three tiers of ingots in other words it is the core material to make the better ingots this

Mod has to offer let’s now cover some of the blocks that have special functions there are eight furnaces that act exactly like the vanilla minecraft furnace the respawn obelisk works the same way as the better nethers respawn anchor but the respawn obelisk has a pricey crafting recipe the endstone

Smelter is mostly used to create terminite which is the tier 2 ingot and eternium which is the tier 3 ingot there are three types of anvils that correspond with the different tiers of ingots if you want to make the armor and tools for one of the ingots you must use

The respective anvil along with the respective hammer the thalasium anvil is tier 1 and is used to create the thalasium set the termini anvil is tier 2 and is used to create the terminate set the eternium anvil is tier three and it is used to create you guessed it the eternium set

Once you have created enough of each ingot you can now create armor and tools there are four armor sets and three tool sets thalaysium is the weakest set it is worse than iron terminite is the next set is slightly worse than diamond eternium is the best set it is slightly

Better than netherrite also there’s an upgraded version of the terminite armor called crystallite armor the armor is created through an infusion to quickly explain the process of creating the infusion area you will need to place down 8 pedestals of any type around an infusion pedestal make sure to do it in

The end place the items needed on the correct pedestal and that’s really all you need to know install rei to help you out with the infusion and crafting recipes the crystallite armor is slightly stronger than terminite and grants you special effects finally there are two upgraded elytras the armored

Elytra is better than an iron chest plate and has 900 durability the chrysolite elytra is slightly worse than the armored elytra it has 650 durability to finish up the better end mod let’s take a look at the consumables there are 14 total consumables since there are so
