How’s it going everyone and welcome back to another bisect hosting server tutorial in today’s video i’m going to show you how to manage your white list on your bedrock server we’ll go ahead and jump right into the tutorial today the first thing you’ll need to do of course is log into your Bisect hosting games control panel to do that you can visit games.bisecthosting.com and then type in your login information including your username and password go ahead and click sign in once you’re done and then you’ll be presented with all the servers you have under your username for today’s example i’ll be using the Vanilla bedrock server i have here in the bottom and then at first you’ll be brought to the console to start i’m going to show you how you can enable and disable the white list to do that it’s actually fairly simple all you have to do is go to the file Manager here on the left hand side and then look for the file called server.properties it’s here down at the bottom i’m going to go ahead and select it so i can edit the file and then you’re going to look for a setting called white dash list See right here by default it’s set to false but you can set it to true if you’d like to enable and enforce whitelist on your server i’m going to go ahead and set mine to true so i’m just going to get rid of the false replace it with True and then make sure i click the save file button here in the bottom left hand corner and then we can head back over into the console and then simply restart our server to apply those changes now i’m going to show you how you can white list players to your server There’s actually two different ways to do it the first way is using the console or you can actually type the same command in game so to whitelist a player you just need to type whitelist space add space and then their username so let’s say their name is steve i’m just Going to type whitelist space add space steve and then press enter if you want to whitelist a player that has a space in their name just make sure you add quotation marks around their username so we could do whitelist space add open quotation steve underscores brother uh close Quotation marks and then press enter if you want to remove a player it’s the same thing but just replace add with remove so let’s say we want to remove steve i would just do white list space remove space steve the second way to whitelist players is a little more rudimentary To start go to the file manager here on the left hand side and then we’re going to locate the file labeled whitelist.json again we’re going to click on it to edit it and then you’ll see that we currently still have those two players whitelisted steve and steve’s brother but let’s say We wanted to add another one we could just copy the same thing in the curly brackets so i’m going to copy it separate each one by a comma so then i’m going to paste it again and then we can change the username to whatever you’d like to Whitelist the same applies if you want to remove someone from the whitelist you can just find them here within all of these curly braces and then make sure you just delete the entirety of it including that comma once you’re done just make sure you click save file here In the bottom left-hand corner return to the console and then restart your server to apply those changes that’s going to wrap up today’s video if you have any other questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us and our support tickets or you can view our complete knowledge base at bisecthosting.com kb If you enjoyed today’s video and would like to see more consider giving us a thumbs up and subscribing and comment down below what you’d like to cover next thanks for watching Video Information
