Hey guys i’ma Birdman here and today I’m going to show you how to set up a public minecraft server from your Windows computer and yes the some video is only for Windows computers i have a Windows inspiron laptop i’m not sure what version is but it runs on windows 7 but Okay guys the first thing you have to do is you gotta make sure you have java 6 so open your start thing on windows 7 and just any version of windows and on windows 7 you of the thing here just find your command prompt by typing in CMD on the search bar and bring it up then we’re going to make sure you have java version 1.6 so type in java and then space dash version okay right here you see build 1.6 oh that’s all you need to know you have it if not you can go on In and type in java 1.6 and download it that’s all you have to do I’ll put these steps in the description too but after that you can exit out of this and then um the second step is to get on the internet go to minecraft.net where you Actually bought the game from okay if you aren’t you have to log in this is my minecraft name you have to go down to play private beta and you gotta go download um yeah scroll all the way down to the bottom where it says multiplayer beta server software and you got you Have to UM get this the minecraft server dot exe it only works for windows so make sure you get this one and you want to get it you want to save it and this is an important step you want to on the next desktop so it’s easy to forget you Want to create a new folder I call mine MC server right here and you want to click on it and save it in it okay nope we’re going to do that one yet ok now I’m going to open this and show you okay this step is a little tricky for Most people because this can usually make or break why did I do that make or break if the things going to work you see how it just says minecraft server right now well windows is going to use Java on it unless you go like this double click it slowly and then put dot E x e add it in the clicks enter ok you’ll know it worked whenever you see the little minecraft icon pop up so now you want to double click on it and click run in Java will take care of it it’s now going to prepare level in the world World and everything um just you know let it do its thing for a second um I guess while it’s loading I can explain you on making this video um this video I’ve been tired of I’ve watched so many of these trying to learn how to do it And none of them help me at all so I just figure out how to do on my own and this is exactly how i did it like the steps i’m going to show you is exactly how i did it so because of my frustration with earlier videos on make Why’s that stuck on 80 hooking that right with my frustration with every other videos i’m making it easy to understand easy to do video to show you guys because i don’t want you guys to go looking through youtube for videos that don’t work to be honest and remember This is for windows only so don’t get mad at me if you’re on a linksys or whatever you have I don’t know but a hey guys this my computer is a laptop and doesn’t that very big memory or a very good hard drive or whatever so on it Takes a while for this to happen sorry it’s one in the morning i’m tired but my frustration made me you want to make this video i don’t know how long it’s going to be it’s already four minutes um yeah um okay guys I’m just going to cut This out okay guys no it is done why my voice sure but uh want oh ok that’s because i already made one don’t worry about this it’ll work now anyway guys go back and you will see that this all happened here this is good this is good You want to go to this or just a server and it says properties file and you want to open it with a notebook okay this is your world edit stuff or you can edit anything you really want for right now we’ll just leave the server IP blank and I think that’s all you had to do right now yeah okay and now all that is left to portforward so people outside of your little uh personal computers inside your house can join ok configure connect ok so here down ok down here you have to go too Poor for calm is the best thing I found and you shall okay when you get here you need to go find your wireless router everyone has a not wireless router but just router that allows you to internet in your house come on down scroll down really ok once here you want to scroll Down and find it mine is a linksys wrt54g ok just want to pass this all about clicking here and then follow these steps I won’t show you how to do it because i’m not going to show you my information and stuff because my dad would get pissed but once you were done With that once you’re done with this once you’re done getting a static IP address which is what you need so people can join in everything you will come back to this on the server and where the server IP you will do your server IP and Click x or save click x and then save and now i shall show you that it worked sure you enter I’ll just close you okay now open up minecraft I need to read this up a little bit because I only got like a minute left Okay oh my god this makes me late I’m gonna be my head okay logged in okay and once you have all that and you can you are now ready to go this is already logged in let’s go erp here is your personal server looks like I spawn in a Snowy area and sorry for it being so laggy with everything running right now and honestly van de Kamp’s Tom that good to record this with anyway so yeah guys I hope you found this video helpful if you have any questions leave them in the
