Conquer the Plump King in Minecraft CTM

For All Test test test 1 two Three my apologies yeah hello everybody Saunders wanted me to join in voice chat as see play through the map hopefully you can hear me fine I know my mic isn’t always the best oh boy this is certainly weird I have to have the stream on mute otherwise I hear myself

Twice but yeah it sounds good on stream Saunders you can probably just uh type in game if you want to say anything don’t have to go back and forth to Discord there is going to be a little bit of a delay no you never finished

It yeah it’s not too long you should be able to finish it in one session or two it’s just like an hour or two couple hours I can’t remember it’s been a long time Gotcha Most of this music is from the ctm repository so it’s by a combination of enano quilver um I think a few other Artist as Well Wait do you not have voice slimes enabled because I didn’t hear the pump King voice but also it could be that I had just had the stream on low volume This is an absolute travesty I put so much love and heart into that voice acting you better listen to every single voice line from here on Out Yeah yeah yeah sitting there for a little bit definitely had those mobs building up you can handle it Though The music playing right now we actually had it as our main track for an unreleased map um can’t remember the exact name of it but revolved around players having access to a hook shot and they were able to shrink themselves down and go into the world of various bugs

Such as an colonies and was Pipes this was a map project from a couple of years ago so I think it was one. 19 or 1 18 it was one of the first Maps I made with uh Dom was right after rookie wreck CU basically in rookie wreck I made a hook shot and I wanted to explore the

Options with it a little bit more so there were a lot of unque mechanics with it um for example you could use the hook shot to stun specific mobs and they wouldn’t be able to attack you for a little while you know obviously you could hook on hook shot onto specific

Blocks in order to Reay yourself in could use it to activate certain mechanics there’s a lot of cool custom stuff we had with it I’m kind of sad we never finished the uh the map but that’s how it is Sometimes [Applause] Yeah this is one of the reasons I really like jams cuz it kind of gives you a cool restriction like this map has to be made in a week or two weeks and then of course you have to meet that deadline oh careful there

Cuz I think this was part of a series of maps that me and Dom made for uh one of the strawberry jams basically we made feed the plump King rebirth mob Arina compete the monument and Rune Quest although Rune Quest was with a cake it might have been 72 hours I can’t

Remember the exact amount um but either way we made all these maps and there was a giveaway for Discord Nitro and you could win multiple times so you could have multiple entries it’s one of the reasons why I made so many Maps it’s cuz I wanted a lot of

Chances it was a lot of fun CU it gave us a good retrospective into what ideas worked and which didn’t also allowed me to work with some new people such as Cake one example of something that that didn’t work so well is the armor system in this map which doesn’t actually give you armor it gives you various attributes and then also compete the monument it was not as good as we had hoped versus rebirth mob Arina that was

An absolute Banger so that’s a series that will continue oh yeah I made some advents with you recently which I guess we’re kind of a Jam we made made the Santa boss battle the ctmc quiz I can’t remember if we made any other ones I think those are the two main ones Though [Applause] I Sh All right Rea real time now on and YouTube at the same time oh yeah the quality is fine you’re inter this Banger Yeah Let’s [Applause] Go yeah this are is definitely a little bit funny there’s some spots where the terrain is brushed and there’s not actually any content probably won’t run into it but yeah where did that guy come from oh boy Ah so the Ender Chest here is so that way you can more easily store and receive your loot like if you go back to the monument I think you also drop your items I can’t remember the death system in this map no it’s keep inventory I’m pretty sure it’s keep Inventory oh yeah it was from the Options which way to go left or right you think ho ho Ho there you go there’s your unbreakable Pickaxe yeah looks like that that’s all there is back here He yeah one thing I would probably change is to make the food heal a little bit more at the start of the map here or make the moms do less damage cuz it doesn’t ever feel too good where you’re struggling just to regenerate the health that you’re losing skull reaction that’s Fair no I I don’t think there’s too many creepers in the map I can’t remember but this inter area is just basic zombies and skeletons I’m pretty sure I mean once again it was a JM map so it wasn’t like we were putting a ton of effort into

It which was also kind of an interesting um swap I guess might not be the right word cuz we were working on Moonlight before this and Moonlight obviously we spent a month on our area Moonlight green very very fun area um and then we came to these Maps where we were limited

To a very very small time Frame oh really okay that’s when I Joined That was a lot of people honestly I can’t count the number of random like hidey holes with people’s heads inside of them or then there was like zade’s Easter eggs with his baguette all over the map yeah I kind of want to run an event

Similar to Ry at some point I I I want to finish Revival first but it is a lot of Work yeah Revival is my big uh solo project that quite a few people are involved with including Sanders here um it’s not going quite as quickly as I had hoped but the quality of it is up to the standards that I’m hoping it’s very high quality yes indeed we did a little bit

Of mapping Yesterday did a little bit of mapping this morning as well well the resource pack in this map is pretty cool too Dom did a good job finding this one yeah yeah Dom and me made this map together most of my maps are made with dom oh the

The resource pack no the resource pack was a generic resource pack from somewhere Online oh yeah of course we did not large any for this project we did for some other projects but not this one I try to for as of I’m trying to remember the map where I started doing it I think when P after Patrick I started putting the music author names in a credits file along with the map that way if there is anything that we’ve taken from another source map

Makers can either go into the resource pack for remove it or they can just not play music for that section of the map or they can just delete music alog together I guess oh yeah this map all music is fine is all rep I I said at the beginning you

Might have missed it all the music is from the ctm Repository yeah usually that’s what they let you Do Those wither R has actually helped you There [Applause] There you go forgot how few arrows I gave out yeah I think I increased the arrows in a couple of areas in one of the patches Well where is he where’d he come from oh it’s inside of there there’s like a little Enclave in the yeah I am terrible at describing things Man Yeah this is probably one of my favorite tracks Honestly by um if in SHO it very much so sets the Tone that’s one of the issues I found like looking for music is a lot of music is you know High paced um energetic oh you know something you’d have for a boss fight not something that you’d have just kind of as a relaxing little stroll through an Area it’s difficult cuz we don’t have a lot of music artists in the ctmc either at least not ones that are available there’s nothing up there by the way you don’t need to go up there yeah yeah yeah yeah crinkles look Awesome oh Okay [Applause] now you have a full set you’re just missing the custom item from uh yeah the the food is not good nice [Laughter] Try there’s nothing up There is the mushroom the bottom mushroom the bottom mushroom there you go I put the buttons there so that way it would’t spawn inside the mushroom but then I found out that it can apparently still spawn inside of it cuz there’s air blocks on the bottom so sometimes you get skeletons

That just got stuck in there yeah it’s kind of Annoying ironically you’re the one playr it didn’t happen in you you were going down the path with the wool and decided to check all the other paths First that’s the funny part I figured you were just doing it for the Content Yeah definitely probably won’t be revisiting this armor system anytime soon it actually is nice to have damage reduction even if it can be a pain in a balance at times I think you missed something down There the throng let’s Go Amazing Story 10 out of 10 okay you should have you’ve completed all the extra path so now all that’s left is the main path to the wall He’s get he gets lost well this is the entrance so I think goes left go left and then I think it’s Right I think it’s right again oh it’s either right or left there’s not many options at this Point yeah here it is yep there will be a boss but you first have to climb up Yes strangle all the Mobs So many melons one of the cool things you can do now is you can put a custom tag on a food or you can just have the food itself and then you create an advancement for eating that food or that food with that tag and then you can run

A custom reward function based off of that and and what you can do in that reward function is give players saturation so you can create a food that has like a custom uh saturation and hunger amount it’s actually quite nice you can make custom food pretty Easily most people opt for the Legacy food system though CU it kind of Skips the middleman and just heals you directly a lot of people have been using Legacy Foods lately it’s a good system [Applause] honestly Yeah so the bosses in this map are definitely pretty simple just a MC stacker M I think you need to go down there to fight it did you get the yeah you got the melon there we go yeah slabs not not asn’t the best I’ll admit Uh no I did not add a return button I think some areas have shortcuts but most Don’t and I’m always conflicted on that too cuz like I understand adding shortcuts and return buttons right but I also understand that some people just want to like run through the entire area and that kind of defeats the whole purpose of the area and that helps discourage those

People cuz it’s like oh I have to run all the way back through all that nonsense as well yeah there’s not enough food in this area and you’re just one player imagine if there was two other people playing with you yeah this this map would not work CU a ctmf

Actually kind of Might for the first couple areas there’s a food issue though Yeah [Applause] You don’t need to build all the way up by the way there are Vines Yeah this is one of the chests you missed the bow yay can now use your 20 Arrows in finding let’s go One melon left yeah you’re on your last breadcrumb um if you go to your base there’s actually infinite cookies in your base so yeah you just got to build over There your Bas is I think right below the this the stairwell before the king beneath there your is your base it should have yeah you’ll find it pretty easily I Think I love how we made like an entire base and whatnot for this map even though it’s so short not this one it’s the next one or the next the one after this the one after this yeah right here there you Go yeah oh Boy um yeah keep going down chest Storage no no No infinite cookies oh no you can’t put anything in there this is very rudimentary I think I’m just cloning the dispenser here Cookie Clicker up pretty much I’ll stream just the rest of the Stream What Did the voice line not play Maybe It’s ambient that’s what I think it’s ambient that must be what it is I feel so bad you missed two voice lines maybe if you slash play sound you can play sound uh voice maybe try Minecraft colon voice Line no yeah voice line V type V no it’s not there um maybe Sfx S oh it must be here probably if you scroll down no it’s Not Bummer let me let me pull up I don’t have access to the map easily actually do I uh spach I think it’s just Minecraft colon where where is it area one for the one you just completed oh it’s hello Minecraft colon hello hello and then yeah you’re going to need to put a voice channel so ambient and then at s y there you go hello I’m the plum King bring me

Area I could be wrong though it could be just a couple like the ones I know for sure have music are area one and the second to last area or sorry the third to last area keep forgetting this this map has six total areas this it’s not a short map

But or I don’t know kind of is a short map you’re just full clearing it so it’s taking a little while oh I don’t hear it on my end oh it I do hear it now Okay yeah I think all areas have music then I’m pretty sure this is the music from CBT or one of the traction CBT no never mind this is not this is an Ino track this is something something halls I think or is this D I can’t remember So many like little honey holes Here use your Bow yay a slty better axe nice little Juke there yeah the food in this area is a little bit more reasonable bread is good and you’re still eating cookies yeah nothing down there oh besides that zombie now I had no idea y it’s probably a spawner on one of these wall Sides yeah you pretty much fully explored this yes you’re about to go to the next section He climbs the library yeah I might want to heal up a little bit There you go going down Oh thank you yeah it’s it’s really not too hard and this map I wouldn’t even say is great honestly I mean part part of yeah part of is because it’s not all yeah this one this is a fun off hand makes you go really fast probably best to keep the shield

For for areas with ranged mobs but yeah as far as gaml it’s mostly just well imagine what the player would do and craft accordingly it’s one of the good things that you can always have is um have a lot of paths that are kind of wrapping in and around themselves kind

Of back on top of each other makes it very interesting to explore and then of course plenty of open space to fight mobs room to place torches so on and so forth a lot of it comes with experience it’s just very different as opposed to making you know just a

Minecraft build for looks or a Minecraft build for like a part map yes the threr better Currently yeah I’ll probably need to get going here in a little bit stunning you Now um probably not a lot you can go ahead in the Stream without me only area I really want to see is the the underwater one so I can see Clover’s soundtrack yeah that’s area four so it will be a little while he’ll probably reach there in a couple

Streams it probably take you three streams to beat the whole map I guess yeah that one’s pretty short yeah it feels big but it’s not long it’s weird I think it’s just based I think it’s just because of the level design and the balance you know there’s

No mobs that take ages to kill you know it’s not like you’re fighting for one inch at a time yeah and there’s a lot of room where there’s just like no spawners but you’re you’re moving horizontally or vertically that you wouldn’t normally notice unless you’re looking out for

Those things CU it’s all pretty well how do you put it distributed yeah the loot pots were definitely the system in that map for sure I really want to see that used again in fact I kind of want to implement that myself my own Maps okay yeah I’m going to hop off I’ll
