Today is a very good day for the minecraft bedrock community welcome back my name is echo and i hope you’re having a great day today’s minecraft video i bring you a brand new beta for minecraft pocket edition the bedrock version and this is a very big beta because today

We have the mountain side of the caves and cliffs updates so it looks like minecraft java is focusing on the cave side and minecraft bedrock is focusing on the mounting side if you just want the official change log it is down below but today’s beta version is point sixteen point two hundred and

Twenty point fifty let me explain to you recently we’ve been in beta one point sixteen point two hundred and ten point let’s say fifty sixty etc it looks like version one point sixteen 1.16.210 is complete it is highly likely that next week we will see a full release for minecraft bedrock

For ios android windows 10 xbox switch and playstation 4 and it has a lot of much needed bug fixes upon full release next week guys don’t be expecting any caves and cliffs features unless they hide them behind the experimental toggles so we have this tweet coming from jay

Back uh feedback it’s really important so i have two worlds set up for you i literally have the new mountains the new mountains will naturally generate and then in this one i’ve gone through all the bug fixes we’ll start off with the new mountains because they are the best thing in today’s video

I’m also told not only do mountains now generate we also have i think drip stone kind of generations as well but we’ll go through that in today’s video um if you guys want the seed i’m using i i’m telling you now check out this seed you will not be

Disappointed for the mountain side so if you’re checking this out guys um you are gonna have to have the experiments on i literally i literally enabled all of them we have holiday creative features creation of custom biomes additional modern capabilities caves and cliffs and enabled game test

Framework uh this i believe is from for ios android and windows 10 not available on the other versions apart from that guys let’s go to game and let’s check out this week’s beta this ladies and gentlemen is a naturally generated mountain now there’s no clouds that is because

We are higher than the clouds and i want to explain that in today’s video so getting into the changes it says introducing the new mountain sub biomes we we have lofty peaks snow-capped peaks snowy slopes mountain grove and mountain meadow now these are it’s hard to tell the sub

Biomes on bedrock we really do need like an f3 functionality so we can tell which one we’re in something tells me that that could be in the work so yeah new biomes new sub biomes and they’re absolutely amazing it says to accommodate the new mountains world height increased from 256 to 320.

We now have the new world height which goes to 300 blocks so this was your previous highest height um no it goes so much higher now so much higher now you’ll probably notice guys that i’m using snow and top snow the full blocks will generate in these

Um places and when you get to 320 which is right now it says height limit for building is 320 block so dude it’s it’s so good i can’t wait to see the the future of minecraft after this update releases also quite an important one to remember now iron coal

And emerald ores are generated in mountains updated many old textures this is a work in progress now before anybody gets incredibly mad at the ors they are a work in progress they’re not finished the developers are still working on this but these are the most recent textures

Not gonna lie i do not like iron but we have iron gold diamonds lapis redstone coal emeralds and copper now if you guys are wondering why they’re doing some changes well a lot of people who struggle with disabilities or visual imparchment i think it’s the way to call it

Um a lot of them have been having trouble with ors so a lot of people might see just black and white and they’re struggling to tell a difference in ores that is why they are fully customizing the ores to make sure it’s accessible and easy to understand for all players so please

Remember that they’re not finished and i’m not gonna lie i’m not the biggest fan of them myself but i like the coal but um i think they still need some some some more improvements other things that we have here is moved goat spawn from extreme hills to snowy slopes

And allow rabbits to spawn in mountain groves so you will see there’s a go there they are there’s goats over there and i think we had a couple of rabbits over here so what i do want to do is literally show you guys the mountains

Uh they are insane so this is where you will see your goats um i don’t know i don’t think they fixed the sounds of these yet let me check hey there go they don’t really do much at the moment there has been some sound changes in this week’s

Um snake called the snapshot there beta and here’s also um iron generation being 150 block 155 blocks and you’ll also see changes to call generations as well so we might there we go there’s call so uh you’re not gonna find just calls in the deep desk now or

Generation and where it spawns is gonna completely change and something else i would like to add as well is you know the sinking snow um this one here it is here it is this one the powdered snow yeah it naturally generates these are all naturally generated it’s it’s it’s so good

So this is gonna be really fun to to play with um again there’s several not several but there’s a handful of different biomes uh this one is made up of packed ice packed ice does not melt so it’s a really good way to get this it’s another location uh

In terms of natural generation guys it’s taken me quite some time to find this i went through many different seeds and looking at the highest peak of this we’re at 213. somebody reached out to me on twitter and said that they had one a lot higher

So it looks like the generations can be even taller let’s see what this one is this one is 217 it’s even taller but yeah truly beautiful trust me you will see when you see this you will know the difference between these ones and these ones but i really like having

The clouds on because it really gives you a visual idea of how big these things are going to be feel free to mess around with the seed you can also see the seed at the top right here in case you are interested um but let’s go through the other bugs and changes

This week so if you guys are still watching could you do me a huge favor and leave a like on today’s video it took me quite some time to set up all of this so i do really appreciate the support getting into bug fixes and some huge changes to drip stone

Which is is really really really really nice to have it says glow squid has been reintroduced to the beta it was removed last beta because of bugs and crashes it’s been re-added it says glow squid now emits glow-colored ink particles when hurt so the squid the dream squid

When hit now drops like i don’t know what to call it just emits some form of glowing poop it’s probably the best way to explain it um but yeah the ink actually has particles chickens this is not your time to shine but yeah the glow squid has been

Reintroduced to the game for anybody who who cares i’m not gonna lie i didn’t vote for it so i really don’t care uh moving on to the changes that we have it says players can now use dye to color sign text i showed you guys this a couple of weeks ago

Uh using the glow ink you can make it shine you can change the colors as well i actually really like the lime one um it’s just a lot easier instead of using like the text like you know the custom commands to do it they’re weird symbol for that

Um so this has been been added again re re-added rather than a new feature but it’s been introduced so something else introduced is item frame and item frame there’s still some bugs going on with this so if we type in item frame we have two variations we have a glowing one

And an ordinary one whenever i place down this and we uh pick block it it goes it’s clusters and like if we throw it on the floor all of them on the floor and then we still we we we put this down now what am i doing that’s

That’s all i want to do put this there then throw it on the floor and this one and we pick block it it gives us an ordinary item frame so it’s slightly broken which explains why if we put this in the glowing one and this one and

This one and we do forward slash time set night it doesn’t glow it’s meant to glow but you can see here that this item frame is slightly more brighter than no it’s not it’s not it’s not i’m lying to you guys so it doesn’t work the way it does on

Java um i really hope that they changed that drip stone fixes and there’s a lot of them it says placing pointed drip stone blocks in water no longer results in water being removed so the pointed drip stone also has new sound effects by the way it also does not remove water

Basically not classing this is a full block but this comes with some some really big changes this week it says when hanging pointed drip stone start when when hanging pointed drip stones start falling their position now has the correct offset so what would happen is this would go

Way offset and probably fall about here when this is broken i’ll show you guys here the position it falls is absolutely perfect it’s not slightly off so that’s been fixed it says tweaked the visual shape of pointed drip stone to match java crouching while placing a drip stone prevents the opposing

Star tight and stalagmite merging so these two if we were to do this and this they would merge if you don’t want them to merge you crouch and place and as you guys can see there’s a gap there and this one’s already producing water as well which we will

Get into this one a little bit further down there because they have fixed that it says standing on a stalagmite and jumping will cause half a heart of full damage so if we were to stand on this in the forward slash game mode s and to jump

You will take half a heart now it doesn’t matter if you use a bigger one the damage is still the exact same pointed drip stone now has the correct hitbox pointed drip stone blocks are no longer destroyed by flowing lava so if we were to grab this

Break this come on place it back place it back flowing lava is not gonna get rid of this so that’s also been fixed pointed drip stone now has the correct size and rotation when in hand so it’s the right although it looks really weird i’m not gonna lie in your hand

Look still looks really weird not a big fan of how it looks in my hand but anyway uh stalactite death message no longer ending with a dot so if you die by this it’s not like you were killed by stalagmite dot dot dot dot it says falling stalactites now deal correct

For damage pointed drip stone drips only lava in the nether so it’s not gonna ah see people aren’t stupid they were using it to drop water in cauldrons i imagine so if this was um coming from the other side like let me show you guys this can obviously drop

Water and lava as i showed you guys over there it’s not gonna drop the lava anymore you guys are really sneaky i love that it says being killed by drip stone now displays correct death message correct sounds are now played for drip stone and pointed drip stone blocks

Added large drip stone feature for drip stone cave biome so there’s likely a drip stone biome somewhere down here it says clusters of pointed drip stone columns in the ceiling and on the floor of the caves are placed let me read that again clusters of pointed drip stone columns in the ceiling

And on the floors of caves are placed out during world gen so i i think i think pointed grip stone now naturally generates in your world but we don’t have the new type of biomes yet cauldrons can now fill up with water or lava when below stalactites

That are dripping one of those liquids so i set up both of these the water one hasn’t been working but the lava one has so as long as there’s lava or water it now has a chance to do this um it drops water but it’s just incredibly slow compared to that one

This next one throwing a trident on a pointed drip stone block now breaks it so trident throw it at this it breaks it and it falls did it not do that previously i thought it did continuing on small pointed drip stone columns along with patches of drip stone blocks are now placed out

During world generation naturally generated added drip stone it can be crafted from four drip stones so uh pointed drip stones so these inside here shapeless by the way you can do any parts will now produce this this block for decoration purposes which also that being said what happens if we do this

No there’s no smooth one what a kind of like the smooth one performance and stability here it is fixed several crashes that occur during gameplay so you know when you just play minecraft and your game just crashes and you’re like wait what yeah they fixed some of those issues for

Some devices fix they crash that could occur when trying to rename a map on anvil while having its second slot occupied general fixes and changes powdered snow can no longer be placed in position that already contains other blocks such as fence posts slash iron bars glow signs are no longer unlit on dx11

And mobile platforms actors no longer allow self selection with cheats disabled projectiles now pass through structure void blocks zombie zombie villager husk pillager vindicator use correct bone to attach shields mobs that pick up shields now place it to their offhand so just to explain this one when people using dispensers with

Shields and putting them on mobs it looked incredibly broken it was kind of like through its neck so they’ve kind of fixed the positioning of that so yeah it was about time to be honest a lot of people were complaining about that one moving on visitors

Now drop inventory on death so if your friends join in their visitors and they’ve got things on them and you’re like yo get out but you still want their stuff yeah their stuff will drop it says improved placement rules for placing blocks on sides of stairs slow

I think it’s meant to say snow and top snow block controllers are now able to select the button mode toggle in the advanced settings npc screen in jurassic world pack i butchered that on science my bad i was in a rush uh marketplace changes feel free to read

The changelog if you’re interested it’s down below accessibility enabled screen narration with touch import on the new achievement screen fixed a bug where text to speech read or read the wrong text while using vr villagers are no longer able to go through walls to sleep in a bed

If the bed is adjacent to them technical fixes and changes read the change log but i want to go through these because there’s quite a few technical changes it says updated blocks shorthand helpers to be camel case updated block shorthand to only include vanilla blocks added blocks dot get to fetch a block

Return null if it doesn’t exist added block states to enumerate all block states added set state to block to update its block state added block pause class added item stack class game test module added tags to enumerate and build in tags updated all methods that took xyz positions to take block

Position exposed padding when registering game testing fixed issue when pre where previous failed game test uh markers still show up in new worlds and then there’s been even more changes here again feel free to read the changelog down below and there’s a lot of changes like i said

In this week’s beta it’s a pretty good one obviously the best thing being um mountains and you can see i was getting lazy towards the end of this it says change change low and i butchered that one as well so i believe driftstone point of drip stone now

Naturally generates i’ll do a little bit of traveling and see if i can find it but don’t count on that so i did a bunch of exploring and i couldn’t find any of the drip stone caves because we don’t have the forward slash locate biome command on bedrock it makes it incredibly difficult

Also guys something else i want to mention is on bedrock we don’t have the negative 64. on java they have the negative 64 which is for the caves that will come in due course time i hope you did enjoy today’s video have a great day and i will catch you
