EPIC 1.17 Minecraft Solo Survival – Episode 1

Hey what’s up guys it’s nashcrafter and welcome to my channel for the first episode of my 1.17 minecraft single player let’s play so welcome you guys this is the start of my journey in my new minecraft world i of course wanted to bring you guys along

And show you all the things that i get up to all the things that i build in this wide open brand new minecraft world the brand new 1.17 update just came out and i have been personally so excited to hop into a new world and start building and playing and seeing all of

The new features that have come out in 117 and i figured i would bring you guys along for the adventure and um yeah let’s just let’s hop right in let’s get started because there’s so much to do when you first start off in a minecraft world so let’s get going

So as you guys can see i have uh i did a little something uh there’s actually a feature that you can choose in the settings where uh when you’re creating a new world where you can add this little chest that spawns in and i thought it’d be fun to do because

I never do it do you guys ever use this feature in the game where you kind of get the the pre-made chest that just sort of spawns in the world i wanted to do it to be a little bit different because again like i’ve never done this so

Let’s take a peek inside let’s see what we get here to start off in our new world ooh okay and this is different every time so uh we’ll we’ll get different things but we’ve got a little bit of bread which is great food to start out with i do like

That a stone pickaxe nice and there is our first advancement of the season what a beautiful sight and then we’ve got a wooden axe to get us started too a little bit of wood that’s kind of nice it’s always a good thing and uh some sticks cool so that is pretty awesome let’s

Actually just punch this chest i could use my new axe but we’ll save that we’ll save that for or some other things and you know what we’re also going to do too is two things we’re going to punch our first tree and we’re going to set my location for where my spawn was

Because i do want to remember that i do want to try oh there’s a village right there oh my goodness okay we are going to go take a peek at that in just a second but i want to punch my first trees i feel like we have to punch it you guys

I know i have a perfectly good axe right there but you know your first tree in a minecraft world i feel like it just needs to be punched so let’s fully break this down and then like i said i’m pretty sure this was my little spawn point so i’m going to

Kind of make myself a little shrine here to mark off where we spawned in the world because later we could come back and we could build something really cool here and i think that would be awesome if we did that so what i’m gonna do is

Kind of get rid of these leaves quickly uh and then let’s go find a flower let’s get this blue flower and let’s just put this right on top this is probably really random and uh you guys are like what are you doing but i like doing stuff like this i like kind of

Making little memories throughout my throughout my minecraft worlds spawn look how weird this is spawn all right there we go that is the exact block that i spawned in in this world okay check this out we have a cow here which is good and we are entering into a small little village

Now i’m actually gonna take some of this wheat because we might need this later i do like to kind of loot out the villages when i get to them so let’s just kind of take a peek around oh look at this guys so this is the new

Copper block in 117 and we have an iron golem here to greet us which is cool i i won’t mess with him he’s kind of a big guy i don’t want to want to do that but look at this we got copper i think i could i think i can mine this

I think i can mine this with stone so we might as well oh look at that yes and we get the raw copper ore this is so neat all right let’s uh let’s get as much of this as we can here okay we’ve got tons of crops looks like we’ve got potatoes here

Which is awesome we even have carrots as well and beetroot we have everything in this village nice but really quickly i kind of don’t want to be caught out at night time so let’s find one of these houses to sort of put our stuff in and call it a day because

This is gonna get pretty bad um okay let’s see so what is this this is a big house oh it’s a library okay i don’t know if i really want to be in the library uh there’s there’s a house across the street from the library oh there’s a guy in here

You know what i’m sorry but i am taking your bed and it’s the librarian too oh no we just stole the librarian’s house oh goodness uh i promise i promise i will um maybe not steal your your stuff next time but what trades do you have actually fire aspect two

Oh that’s not a bad trade actually oh oh my god okay oh my god um i did not mean to do that 100 did not mean to do that oh i just walked right off the edge that actually kind of terrified me there’s a chest right there

Oh oh my gosh this is the this is crazy are you guys like i know you guys are seeing what i’m seeing but look at this ravine this is one of the most insane ravines i’ve ever seen and i think in 117 too this is like the new

The new exposed ravines like um they’re a little bit more exposed oh we got the lichen as well that’s so cool in the new oars look at the coal there oh this is so cool yep this is it guys this is where we are calling home i mean i

You can’t beat this like this is one of the coolest ravines the chain going down i didn’t even know that was a thing i think that’s a new feature and i just happened to stumble upon it i really want to go see what’s in this chest though

Because this is oh gosh he scared the pants off of me this is where we’re using our new axe okay okay okay sheesh it was hard to take down i really wish i do have some torches oh my this place is scary there’s so many sounds

Oh we’re taking a mega detour here but that’s okay i’m a little spooked i’m not gonna lie a little spooked here um oh man this minecraft is gonna be huge you guys we just have to go through and explore this because it’s gonna be epic

But uh let’s take a peek in here look we got more copper that’s pretty awesome 117 stuff uh but let’s take a look in here maybe we can get a golden apple or something oh we did get a golden apple sweet and this oh no way we got glowberries

These are part of the lush cave update in 117. oh man there’s going to be so much 117 stuff and i do want to say to start out this video we are starting in the new update so we are going to experience a lot of new update stuff but

We might not get to everything in today’s episode so i do want to uh i want to tell you guys you know stick around for the upcoming episodes because that is when we’re going to be able to get into everything and witness everything

We might not be able to do it all in one episode if you know what i mean but i mean we’re already seeing so many things glow berries new mine shafts copper the new ores it’s just been this has already been so exciting i have

To say okay so i’m gonna get myself a little bit of stone i’m gonna try to get my way out of here there we go stone age advancement acquired which is good uh let me get myself out of here guys and then i’ll come back with you

And we’ll figure out what the next move is what are we gonna do are we gonna are we gonna trade with villagers i personally have no idea there is a skeleton who is trying to make my life very difficult right there i’m kind of hi guys

Help me what do i do so you guys he told me his name is gazpacho so hello gazpacho what what are you doing i’m gonna have to sleep here i’m sorry i’ve got to take your bed really quickly uh promise i’ll give it back i guess for we’re sharing this bed

But yeah this is my uh my little very humble abode that i’ve got going on here there’s a skeleton over there dipping himself in the water and uh you guys i’ve got some things that i’ve got to get set up really quickly so i took a look around the village there’s

Really nothing i found this leather cap and that’s pretty much it uh but there’s some things that i want to get set up and i’m seeing one of them currently this is a sugar cane i want to get myself a little bit of some farming stuff going

Because if we do this then we can set ourselves up to uh to be able to trade with these villagers which is going to be great because we definitely are going to get emeralds we’re going to need levels we’re going to need all kinds of things early game so that

Is what i want to focus on i want to try you know what i was thinking about so i know in this new update that we’re kind of focusing on 117 there is such thing as somewhat of or doubling and in order to or double because now that we have the

Raw oars so you guys saw we’ve got this raw copper if we go and mine iron we also get raw iron and that takes after fortune so basically in a way you kind of have ore doubling i keep almost falling down this thing oh this thing is gonna be the death of

Me i swear oh my goodness um let’s not speak that into existence but it is probably but what i was thinking guys is i want to get to ore doubling quickly i i don’t want to waste time i don’t want to go into this giant cool ravine cave type of thing

And not be able to get the most bang for my buck so that is the plan i have this big idea of doing or doubling and if we could do it in today’s episode i mean hey that would be absolutely fantastic not no promises because that’s a big

That’s a big thing to to say we want to do but you know that means we got to get 30 levels which means we’re gonna have to plant a bunch of sugar cane to be trading with these guys to get paper and also it might be worth making a

Giant farm for all of our crops so that we can start trading with these guys as well so i think that’s gonna be my next step i mean we have all these great crops that they’ve started for us all right i am heading up to go get myself some spruce wood because bruce

Wood is just one of the best woods in the game in my opinion and i looked up and i saw something very exciting something very 117. he’s not there it’s not there um hold on let me let me get to a better position i i came up here and there it is

There’s two of them oh there they are the beautiful new goat mob in 117 and look at all this spruce wood as well that we are getting this is absolutely fantastic look there’s another goat over there i wish i had one of those kaleidoscope things not kaleidoscope what is it called um uh

Telescope telescope what are they called spyglass the spyglass oh my goodness brain thank you but i was so excited uh to see these goats and to know that we actually have goats in our village it’s it’s great i don’t know why i’m cutting down this tree

Because i came for spruce wood but i’ve just been so excited thinking about goats that um i got distracted for a second hello little goat oh there he goes oh my goodness they’re so epic oh my goodness okay it actually did hit me in the back

I wish i could have seen that from the front oh my gosh All right guys i’m taking a little bit of a break from farm building to go down into the mines and get some resources some cobblestone i want to get this advancement with you guys so uh yeah i need cobble because we are trying to make

A pretty looking farm here i want to try to focus on aesthetics as well as uh getting things done and being productive and all that jazz so i’m trying i’m trying to go down in this cave and look at this guy he’s opening his doors for for business today uh we’ve got one

Villager i think i trapped most the villagers that guy escaped earlier i need to go oh wait we have two we have three guys we have three escapees oh man i might need to um get them a home soon but i figured i would come down and show

You guys where i am setting up my strip mine it is very very very dangerous all right guys let me show you where i have set up my mind let’s take care of this guy there’s lots of lots of danger in this place i have to say he’s taken care of

And i get his experience which is great so there’s this little this little place here uh i like how this is right under this uh kind of hanging thing i i feel like we could incorporate this into design later which i’m very very excited about uh but yeah just right here i figured

This is like a perfect little walkway and it had an ending so i was thinking this is it this is where i’m gonna put my strip mine and of course we’re gonna deck this out and make it look really cool later but it opens into this giant

Spooky cavern oh i was gonna make a shield but i did not that’s okay let’s just um if we can light this up or we’ll be good to go now there were a bunch of skeletons up here earlier which was kind of freaking me out now there’s a bunch of creepers

Oh no no oh no oh i thought he was going to blow creepers super sketchy okay we need to go light this up like as soon as possible because this crevice is so giant and huge and i don’t know if there’s going to be anything cool down here but it would be

Awesome if there was if that guy could blow up that’d be great whoa okay hold on we just found something super cool but i need to heal up please i should have brought a shield i just didn’t have any iron with me uh okay we gotta go fight that guy okay

Get out of here with my shovel this is intense okay uh i wanted to show you guys this so look what we just found that is drips drip stone i think is what it’s called and that goes down there oh this is 117. oh this is a little

Sneak peek so they haven’t officially put the new caves in the game and i know it seems a little weird because this is the caves and cliffs update we’re supposed to you know get caves and cliffs but they decided to split it into two updates which i totally understand

Uh this is a lot of work to take on for the developers so i totally understand why they did that but that does mean that we’re gonna have to wait a little bit longer to get uh some of the new caves and the new cliffs and and stuff like that

In the update but uh i need to get cobblestone that was really the reason why i came down here in the first place but this is just absolutely incredible this looks so cool oh we got some lichen down here which is cool and we’ve got a ton of this new deep slate block

So i believe if we take our shears we can actually get this lichen i’m not sure what to use this for uh glow lichen yeah i i don’t know what to use it for i haven’t really found a texture that it it honestly kind of matches it’s this

Interesting light green tone that i feel like doesn’t really match any other blocks in the game i could be wrong about that i just need to maybe play around with it a little bit more but uh it is a it’s a cool thing to be added gosh there’s so many creepers

Oh my goodness my first diamonds ah my first diamonds you guys okay uh let me let me dump some stuff off here oh my word i can’t believe diamonds in the first episode oh and it looks like we are definitely gonna get a few this is gonna be great for getting

An enchanting setup today which i really really wanted to do so there it is guys we got our first pickaxe oh if we could get okay so we got four we need one more because we need three for the pickaxe uh because we have to get obsidian and then we also have

Um yeah we just have the we need two for the enchanting setup so oh that was such a lucky find but also at the same time i want more i’m feeling feeling a little greedy in my new world here okay so i’ve got a game plan

To finish out this episode i’ve sort of changed my plan now i do want to finish these farms that is a definite definite must that we gotta do uh but let’s head over here so i got to finish these back ones and this is my plan so this one is going to be

Carrots back here this little one right here carrots and then this one is going to be wheat because it’s a little bit bigger of a one and then this is gonna be potatoes here and then we’ve got wheat here and then we’ve got the beetroot up here which is doing super good i

Wanted to make something with you guys so there is one specific uh villager that i think would be a really big asset to us now the only thing is i need to get a couple pieces of flint because we are going to make a fletcher fletchers will trade sticks for emeralds

And of course as you trade you also get experience so that means we can get 30 levels relatively easy i’m not going to say it’s going to be easy um but you know we could probably get up to 30 levels by the end of today

So that’s my plan that’s what i want to do i want to get a fletcher so again we’re down here in the mines trying to get some flint there we go we got my two pieces of flint so we can head back up and we can make our fletching table

Fletching table acquired now we just have to find a villager who can take on the job all right here’s our guy so this one does not currently have a job and he’s stuck in his house so we are gonna pop that down and hopefully he gets a good trade here

But here you go guy we are gonna trade and there we go what a deal look he he’s like hey i want your emeralds uh okay so i have those really really big tall spruce trees over there i think i’m just going to literally grind and i’m just going to

Try to trade with this guy until he is about as as as good of a fletcher as you can get so i will i will catch you in just a second okay guys i think i’ve pretty much got this this fletcher upped oh hello i think i pretty much got this fletcher

Up to master does he have the diamond belt i’m not sure i think this might be oh arrow of the turtle master that’s actually pretty sweet a resistance and slowness wow and then we can give trip wire hooks uh so it looks like you need seven tripar hooks and you’ll get an

Emerald from that Okay team uh i got exciting news so i was trading with my villagers you guys can see i’m at level 24 we’re doing pretty good i was trying to get to level 30. i my farms have been doing great i’ve just been trading a ton with these villagers i can show you guys

But look at this 12 emerald fortune 3 which is exactly what i wanted to get by the end of today’s episode so that next episode when we go into the abandoned mine shaft we can fortune three everything and we’re gonna get so much copper so much iron so much coal

We’re not even gonna know what to do with it so this is the best trade i need to lock him as soon as possible because i do not want to lose that trade that is 12 are you kidding me like that’s so good i am just feeling

Really great right now and this guy is like my new best friend this is gazpacho and gazpacho is the best look at that fortune 3 uh projectile protection for 12. that’s not so great but we can combine it also lanterns that’s always kind of a fun thing to have but this one

11 emeralds which we have seven i can keep trading all of you guys can see i have so many pumpkin pies because i’ve been trading so much with the farmers um but yeah i want to come and get this book right here and you know what i’ve also been doing let

Me uh kind of work my way out of here i need a better way of getting in and out of this thing i think we might do the trapdoor trick on at least one of these doors oops i’m throwing it um so that we can actually get in and

Out of this a little bit easier uh but i have some cows over here that have been breeding up there they were already in this little pen and it’s starting to get crowded so we might as well just take care of sorry cow might as well take care of one

Of those that way we can come inside make a book and then i can just go and trade a little tiny bit more to get all the emeralds that we need and it might be worth doing a few stick trades here so i might do that

And sorry about my inventory i could not promise you guys that my inventory is going to be clean throughout this entire series uh that’s just how minecraft goes honestly i feel like uh it’s just it takes so much time to try to organize everything i wish there was easier ways

Of organizing i know there’s a mod for example where if you um middle mouse click on uh the like scroll wheel you can actually organize your your inventory and it’s kind of a really nice thing but i i i mean it’s a mod so we don’t really have access to that but

That’s okay look at this this guy’s a diamond he’s unlocked everything got the power on breaking you guys kind of already saw this but it’s pretty cool so what do we got we got 13 was it 13 gosh i can’t even remember oh my gosh we were just down there

Looking at it and i already can’t remember but you guys i can’t believe we’re about to have fortune 3 and we’re gonna make our diamond pick today and a diamond pick and the first episode always feels good to me so let’s slide on in here and then let’s see yeah it was only

11. so fortune three ah that’s so incredible let’s go make our diamond pick right away there we go and let’s slide on through here where are my diamonds there they are one two three let’s put some of this junk away i will organize this in between episodes i promise

But there it is now the only thing is i cannot put 4chan on this book unless i get an anvil so i gotta go do that really quickly but i’ll be right back all right one more and then i think we got it if i remember it correctly so it’s three on top

Two three four boom there we go we’ve got our first little anvil get us going let’s plop this right outside our house there and uh let me grab my stuff i put it away just in case anything bad happened to me because i didn’t want to risk it

But you guys fortune three on a pickaxe which is exactly what i wanted uh to get us started here we only have to spend six levels and uh yeah this is so fantastic so i’m gonna call this um all right there it is my first diamond pickaxe called beginner’s luck because

We have i mean it’s fortune it’s pretty lucky to have fortune on a on an axe like that so that’s gonna be amazing and you guys we did so much in today’s episode we got all of my farms uh going up and running which i feel pretty good about because this is just

Going to be a food source for us and it is also going to just provide so much so many resources i still have to finish the potato farm that’s the only one that kind of looks really sad at this point because i really haven’t had that much potatoes

Another thing i’m gonna do in between episodes so with those last three farms i found that i didn’t really like the way it looked when it had the path surrounding it and it also just gives us more space for more crops so i’m going to change these first

Two i’m gonna get rid of all the path block that goes around in a circle i’m just gonna fill that in with crops and so far so good like i really like this area i think it looks cool i need to go through and finalize the path as well

And then i need to go and uh next up so we’re gonna go mining so that’s gonna be cool we we still need to get a starter house that is definitely something we need to focus on as well this is about to break man i think we’re good there we go it’s like

Perfect um and yeah we’ve we’ve got so much to do but we are starting off pretty strong in this world and you guys i cannot wait to get down into this ravine with you next episode i can’t wait like this is such a cool find and now that we have fortune 3

We are absolutely going to get so many resources i cannot wait to or double it’s just going to be amazing i cannot wait to spend next episode with you guys where i think we need to start getting geared up because look at me i’m wearing a leather cap and this is definitely not

Going to keep me safe for very long but now that we have the shiny blue diamonds on us i think we’re actually gonna be we’re gonna be pretty good we’ve also traded a ton with our villagers we’re getting to know them and they’re getting to know us

It’s great we got gazpacho as our neighbor which is pretty awesome and uh we saw goats today we saw the drip stone as well we got some glowberries like we are hopping into 117 things it’s just it’s fantastic and i cannot wait for you guys to see the rest of the series and
