EPIC Minecraft Big Boy Train Build – You Won’t Believe How CraftyFoxe Does It!

Hello guys and welcome back it’s crafty fox and today we’re going to be building this union pacific 4014 big boy now this is an articulated steam locomotive and i am just kidding we’re not building this one we’re building the one over here which is a 4884

Built by alco and it has an oil tender and it’s very similar to the up challenger which i also did a tutorial on before so these two locomotives are very similar the big boy has an extra four more driving wheels a longer boiler firebox and also the lamp in the front that is

Mounted up higher so you can see a block higher this one doesn’t really cover the boiler and here is the old 27 version so you can see what i did before i used to use the hopper wheel the black hole and a lot of things and it also was like a block

Shorter so this one does it justice so it looks like an actual big train now which i’m happy for this opportunity because it’s commissioned by zachary plant so thanks him for making this video possible it also does have a similar boiler to the gop challenger but i did some modifications just to

Update the design like i made this uh back railing into carp instead of trapdoor because it’s black and it’s also shorter and uh yeah i hope you guys enjoy the build and let’s get started so first place down another brick stairs in the middle of the tracks

On top then i’m going to add an upside down behind it and then five nether brick slabs so one two three four five on the top row we’re going to add two nether brick slabs then we’ll add in black concrete so this segment is going to be 34 blocks

Long so i’m going to stack it right now so it is 34 and at the end of it we’ll add another brick slab right there then we’ll go down underneath uh skip this block here add another brick slab then we’re going to add a dark oak fence gate in the front of this

And skip one block away from that and add another fence gate then skip another block and add a slab now let’s move on back to the front and we’ll add a black wool block right there in the center and a black saying last pane in front of that then behind

We’re going to add three black concretes another brick stairs facing the back another brick slab and then four nether brick walls so one two three four then another brick slab another brick wall another brick slab and two nether brick walls another brick slab and then four nether brick walls one two three four

Another brick slab then two nether brick walls and we’re gonna skip a block and add a black concrete block then we’ll add an upper stone slab then black concrete again and it looks to be four stone blocks one two three four then we’ll add this uh black concrete we’re gonna make it

Two by three like that and then on top we’ll add another brick slab here a dark oak fence gate to the end here and a black uh wall carpet on top of that and you know what we’ll fill in the floor of that then we’ll add in uh black concrete here

Make it three blocks tall like so then we’ll add another brick slab on top and make it go one block past the end where we have that trapdoor and then we’re gonna extend it on this side another row here then we’ll go back to the front add another brick stairs to the side

This add upside down another brick stairs here another one but make it cornered then we’ll add in another brick stairs on the edge here another brick slab inside uh black concrete two blocks here another brick stairs here and another brick slab in the middle then on the side we’ll add in an upside

Down nether brick stairs like that a right side up and then upside down then another upside down right above that one then another brick fence two blocks tall here go dialing down another two blocks like that then we’ll add a dark oak trap door here another brick fence on top dark oak

Fence gate in between and we’re going to add the lamp so that’s going to be another brick stairs in the middle item frame with a yellow glass pane inside behind that pane we’re going to add a dark oak trap door right there and another brick um fence to the side of that

Then next we’ll add two dark oak trapdoors here and then we’ll add another brick slab here and another brick wall right next door like that then we’ll add two black carpets like so and then two nether brick slabs like that another brick stairs right here to the side of that other stairs then

We’re going to go to the side here add another brick slide a gray concrete block then two nether brick slabs gray concrete block and to the side of the first wheel we’re going to add our stone button then we’ll add two dark oak trapdoors then above we’re going to make a 2×2

Black concrete and then we’ll fill in this middle section in black concrete then we’ll add another brick stairs here with another brick slab behind it like that then we’re going to add black concrete right above the wheels both of them front and back like so

And now we’re going to add in the big driving wheels so that’s going to be a 2×2 nether brick stairs or i like to call them oreo wheels but i don’t eat oreos anymore because i don’t want a cavity and then i’m going to skip a block and add another

Wheel here so there’s going to be four of these but the last one is going to be close together so the second one and then third one all right and i just accidentally deleted it and then the last one right here it’s gonna be like right next to the third one

So that’s what the driving wheels do look like all right after we do that we’re gonna make a two by two black concrete here another big stairs in the front and another brick slab right behind it and then on the bottom part we’ll add in these

Two dark oak fence gates open them up then dark oak trap doors in front of it now i’m going to add in the same wheels that we did right here to this side so after we added the wheels it should look like this so make sure the last one stuck together

With the other one all right so next we’re to go in the middle of the wheels you’ll see these spaces we’re gonna fill that in with nether brick uh wall and then go in the middle area fill in that part with a slot of another brick

And do the same thing for the other set of wheels all right very good all right so after we’re done with that we got these two sets of wheels now they’re gonna have like the same basic um design for the rod so we’re gonna make that let’s go to that first wheel

And we’re gonna add in uh dear right wall i’m gonna make it three blocks long so one two three and then birch fence gate deer right wall two polished deer right slabs and then two iron trap doors on the top row we’re gonna add another brick uh slab two iron trap doors

Smooth stone uh slab and then iron trap door and then another brick slab now the bottom part we’re gonna add in um iron trap door birch fence gate and iron trap door all the way to the other iron trap door that we just placed and this is our basic design alright so i’m

Editing the video realized i left this part out so make this part a smooth stone slab right after the fence gate and that goes for all of them now i know this one looks a little bit different but the basic design is the same and we’re going to copy it right to this

Side all right so after we copied it it should look like this very good and we will change it later on in the video when we flip it over because the other side’s normal and then we’re to go to the front add in iron trap door here i’m gonna make it three

Three of them like this all right very cool next we’re gonna go on top of the stairs add another brick wall inside we’ll add a stone slab now i’m gonna make this part six blocks long so one two three four five and six like that and then in the front we’ll

Add light gray wool we’re gonna make half of a plus sign since we’re only building half the locomotive right now and then we’re gonna make it go extend for the other side so it matches up six blocks long and then extend this area as well across like that then we’ll add stone

Stairs in the corners across like so and then on top we’ll add in a skeleton skull with a daylight detector on the side of it and we can make it blue on top we’ll add smooth stone slab three blocks long and then a lever which is gonna face

Towards the back and i accidentally place the fence gate like so then we’ll add a dark oak button to the side like that and an end rod right there in the middle it’s going to go horizontally like a line across like so next we’ll go back to the cab area

And we’re going to add another three uh black concretes like this and then we’ll make a two by two of acacia buttons so then in the front we’ll add in these two nether brick stairs one’s going to be right side up another one’s going to be

Upside down so we got that nice window and then we’ll add two nether brick slabs and then another brick stairs we want to face it towards the front and another one upside down on top of it so we have like that nice rectangle and we’ll cover up the top area with

Slabs like that then underneath we’re going to add in a quartz block so that’s just going to be two blocks in the middle and we’ll add black concrete to the sides like so in the back we’ll add in another brick slab a black concrete block and then another brick stairs and then

Another brick slab like that and then the front of this will add in uh black concrete we’re gonna make it two blocks tall like this and four blocks long so one two three four extend the rest out and on the top of it we’ll add in a dark oak trap door and fill

In the rest of that with slabs then we’ll add in slabs cross all the way up to that trap door and we’ll add black concrete underneath it and then we’ll connect this top section of black concrete to the boiler part in the front like so then the side of this will add

In three nether brick stairs and three black concretes then a 2×3 nether brick slabs and then we’ll go back to the front add another big stairs here three black concretes a two by two of slabs skip block here add two slabs and then we’ll add in a oak fence gate

Which is gonna face towards the cab then the side of it will add in another brick stairs all the way across the side and then we’ll work down over here take out black concrete extend the bottom area all the way across like that next we’re going to go in the

Front of the cab add an end rod here and i’m gonna make this line go all the way to the front of the boiler after you do that we’re gonna add another brick fence here and we’ll add dark oak button inside this and then three dark oak binds here and

Then a dark oak button right here like a block away from the cab like so then we’re gonna go line it up with the stairs here go down and add two blocks tall of light gray wool and would extend both of them all the way to the cap

Like this and then this one’s gonna have an extra one at the bottom like so then we’ll skip one here and add stone slab all the way across to the back and then we’ll add in uh two dark oak uh fence gates like this then we’ll add stone buttons all the way across

And upside down nether brick stairs here another brick slop on the inside and another brick slab extend this all the way out to the middle uh button right there then we’ll go on the inner part where the firebox is and extend that by one the light gray wall

And then we’ll add um black concrete seven blocks long one two three four five six and seven and then the top row would add black concrete all the way across so it matches up with the front then we’ll add in another brick stairs all the way across the side here

On the bottom corner right to uh the front boiler i’m going to add black concrete right above all these walls and then we’ll delete these slabs above these walls and that is going to be replaced with an upside down stone stairs like that so it’s actually connected then we’ll add in

Um another brick slab across the bottom area all the way across and fill in the gaps like so next go to the cab and we’ll add a black concrete next to that stairs and then two nether brick fences after it then we’ll add another dark oak trap door here black carpet on top

And then another brick um fence here and we’re gonna make that go just one block before it touches the tracks so right about there then on top we’ll add two dark oak trap doors and then black carpet right here all the way across the side of it like so

Then we’ll add three nether brick fences here go down here and add two more nether brick fences like that and dark oak fence gate underneath those fences then i’m going to add great concrete in front of these fence gates add hopper in front of that another brick slab in the middle

Another brake slab behind and then two in the front dark oak uh trap door here another brick stairs facing the front and then three upside down facing outwards and then right side up facing the back then we’ll add another brick slab on the inside of this another brick wall behind the stairs

Another brick fence on top and dark oak fence gates all the way across the side and goes lines up with the front of the fire box across like that then we’ll add a dark oak fence gate here another brick fence and let’s go back to the inside of the cab we didn’t quite

Finish that yet so we’re gonna add another brick stairs there and black carpet right over that fence i want to go back to this bogey and add in upside down another brick stairs in the front of that uh gray concrete and fill in the other side as well

So it is going to be 1.5 blocks then we’re going to go in the front right behind this wall we’ll add another brick slab and we’re going to make it go one block past this gray part like so and then we’ll go on the top section here

Add three blocks long of dark oak trap door then we’ll skip two blocks and add two another brick stairs upside down two dark oak trap doors like that and we’ll add in another brick slab right here another brick wall right behind it then four blocks long of these stairs

And we’ll make it two blocks tall across like that then we’ll go near the firebox add another brick fence right underneath that fence gate go back to the front add another brick um stairs right above this trapdoor like so now this is pretty much it for the symmetrical parts

Now i’m going to be flipping it off to the other side all right so once you have both sides should look like this then we’ll add iron bars right here the front both sides and then we’ll add a dark oak fence gate down here open it up then we’ll go back towards

The cab add dark oak fenske here and open it up towards the inside then we’ll go down here and add another brick slab upside down another brick stairs and then two dark oak fence gates like that then we’ll add in an iron trap door right here a birch fence here

And then we’ll need a polish deer right stairs and replace this area like that and we’re just doing it to this side the other side is just completely normal then fill in the rest of this with another brick slabs all the way across the top section then we’ll replace this button here with

Acacia button go in the front add another brick slab here another brick wall let’s move on to the other side and then it will go here and add another brick slab here and then four another brick stairs upside down add another four underneath that one like so and we’ll add another brick slab

Right there in that nook then want to go over here open up this fence gate and skip a block add another dark oak button there then we’ll go to the front add in these two uh dark oak fence gates with black carpet on top go on the bottom here and add three dark

Oak fence gates like so then we’re going to go up here at spruce button other side skip block and add dark oak bun right there all right then we’re gonna go back over here and it turns out this slime actually has to be moved a block down so just get rid of these

Inner slabs and then we’ll add in line it up with i guess let me check the other side yeah it pretty much goes all the way yeah it pretty much lines up with this black so just delete this block here and we’re gonna move all of these slabs

A block down so go after the wall add in the nether brick slab and make it go all the way across i was wondering why something felt weird about it right and then the other side same thing add in the another brick slabs right behind that wall till it goes

Right around here all right yep just that one block all right so yeah that is pretty much it on how to build the union pacific uh big boy locomotive now for the tender uh what we’re gonna do were to modify the challenges tender so go watch the up challenger video

For the tender and then we’re gonna modify it slightly just a few changes so go to the video in the description the union pacific challenger 3985 and 3977 video and you’re gonna pretty much go right over here and this is where we start off we’re gonna place these blocks

Right there so if you go in 18 minutes and 21 seconds in the video that should start so after you watch that video up to 20 minutes and 10 seconds you should have this tender and then where to modify it so let’s replace this uh trapdoor with this black carpet

Just because it is a better color to use and if you have the original challenger feel free to modify the challenger again to make it like this and then we’ll add black carpet here make a border all the way around it cross like that okay then we’re going to

Flip it off to the other side all right so once we flip it off to the other side we’re to go to where the cab is and we’ll add in another dark oak fence gate here open it up and then on this side we’re gonna line up with the union pacific and

It’s gonna be delete these two blocks and add uh these two black concrete blocks and we’ll add two dark oak binds to the side of that then we’re going to go to this side and replace uh this black concrete with a smooth quartz slab and then we’ll fill in the inside part

Black concrete go in this corner and replace this button with an acacia button then we’re to go on the inside of the big boy cab and we’ll add a lever right there hanging from the ceiling all right so yeah that is pretty much it on how to build the union pacific big
