Hello everyone my name is pixarius and welcome back to minecraft rtx survival i hope you guys are having a good day i think to start off today’s episode i’m gonna do a little bit more caving and gathering of resources because let’s be real we don’t have a whole lot right now we’ve Got enough diamonds to set up a bunch of stuff for enchanting maybe but i still need to go and get myself some obsidian and i’m thinking what i might end up doing is heading over to the plains biome that we visited in the last episode where i got you know All of the the food and that kind of stuff over in that direction because i want to work with quite a large area for a build project that’s going to be an ongoing build in this world i think to really make this feel like a proper Minecraft let’s play i want to build a castle over there i think we can do some really cool stuff with lighting up the castle using rtx lighting capabilities and i really just want to see how it goes i’ve been itching to build another castle since i built the castle At founders forge and i feel like i’ve learned a lot about building recently so i think we’re going to give it a go we’re going to move all of the resources that i’ve gathered so far over to that area and then i’m going to do a little bit of Caving in that area and we’re going to see how it all pans out so with pretty much everything gathered up into my inventory except for a spider eye and some granite that i ended up chucking out i’ll probably grab a little bit more granite if i decide to build with it but we’re Gonna head over here and set up we’ve got a lot of really good wood types around here we’ve got a huge dark oak forest over there which of course has uh birch and oak in the forest biome as well i expect there will be a tiger biome around here somewhere Where we can get hold of some spruce wood and all of the stone that i need is going to be underground i would love to get some enchanting set up this episode so that i could aim to get a silk touch pick or something like that yeah there we go got A nice big mountain biome is that two brown sheep unheard of we got some brown sheep over here amazing all right i think yeah this place feels like a nice big open plains biome and i think we’re going to set up a castle somewhere nearby probably in a higher hilly area Maybe like this area we can take down all of the trees and look at all of the caves in this region i think they’re going to be perfect for tracking down some more resources might even lead into the same cave system that we have over there but more than likely We’ll be able to grab a couple more diamonds just by mining some stuff out and in the process i can get hold of enough stone that we can at least make a start on a base today and start this castle project i do want to put it Up on a hilly area or maybe we could even create something around these mountains i’m not certain yet but what i do know is that we need to set up a kind of temporary base for now so i think i’m gonna pop down my chest over here and call this the more Official home of the rtx survival base and with all that done and my inventory pretty much clear for caving i think it’s time to go and get some resources so how about we do this in a montage [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Laughter] [Applause] Hey folks welcome back i hope you enjoyed the little mining montage and once again it’s time for me to talk to you about the sponsors of this video nvidia and scan i’ve been using my scan custom 3xs system for a couple of weeks now and it has been an absolute dream to use From start to finish this is of course part of scan’s range of 3xs custom pcs built around the rtx 30 range of graphics cards you can visit their website at scan.co.uk to take a look at their whole range of 3xs pcs ready to order but if you’ve got your own system ready To go and all you need is a gpu that can run at minecraft rtx and look no further than nvidia’s 30 series the geforce rtx 3080 features second generation ray tracing and third generation tensor cores capable of playing rtx games like minecraft in 4k resolution at 60 frames per second It’s up to twice as fast as the previous rtx 2080 and personally i’ve been loving the fact that it helps me with rendering and exporting video and all of the stuff that is required for my video production workflow and there’s good news minecraft rtx is now bundled into minecraft bedrock edition it’s just Part of the latest release all you need to do is make sure you’ve got minecraft bedrock edition updated to the latest version no more messing around with the beta you just load up the game and rtx stuff is in the marketplace ready for you to download and explore Alternatively you can check out nvidia’s guide to converting any of your worlds to minecraft rtx with a special rtx pbr resource pack there is a link to that article in the video description along with some resource packs that i’ve been using throughout this series hey folks welcome Back from the montage and we actually got a whole lot done i did some of this on a live stream as well so that’s going to be up on my pixel vods youtube channel if you want to catch up and watch that but as you can See we have a wheat farm a little bit of automatic smelting or close enough i’ve been smelting a lot of smooth stone using this while i didn’t have a silk touch pickaxe but now thanks to the fact that i put together a sugar cane farm and an animal farm i got Enough bookshelves that we now have enchanting and yes i got myself a silk touch pickaxe that came out of the table like this with unbreaking three efficiency four also got myself a sharpness at four and an unbreaking sword with knockback on top i like that a lot i also managed to Get myself a pretty decent fishing rod via fishing and of course you know getting a couple of enchantments on the table as well and we’ve done a lot of exploring now there will be a few things that you’ll notice immediately are a little bit different first of all when I looked in that chest some of these blocks are looking a little bit odd and that is because i have switched resource packs i’ll go into the resource packs menu briefly to show you but we are now using kelly’s rtx which seems like a pretty cool pack from what i can see It’s got a lot of the same rtx vanilla conversion that the previous pack we were using had but some stuff is subtly tweaked and kelly has also provided a bunch of add-ons for this like clear glass which is a really cool pack that just removes all of the framing pixels from Glass allows it to be completely clear and also has some pretty good lighting effects when white light is shining through the glass which we’ll get to a little bit later once i’ve acquired some glass and also this one the elr add-on which converts emerald lapis and redstone into basically Rgb light sources now i’ve only got a couple of blocks of emerald ore and as you might know if you’ve been following my channel for a while i really don’t like to break down emerald ore because you can just get emeralds really easily from trading with villagers So i haven’t got a block of emerald yet but what i do have is a lot of blocks of lapis and redstone and if i go down into a dark spot of this cave i can show you what i’m doing with these because these are now fully luminous light sources in those Particular colors and this brings back in some of the stuff we were doing in the beta version of the rtx long before it was actually available at home and i was just messing around with these light sources in that color light and sound pack and turning some of these lights into Like combinations of colors so red and blue obviously making purple in here and as you can see this causes the cave here to be lit up in such an awesome display of color that i really want to do some stuff with this and it really helps me deal with the Fact that right now it is raining in my world and it is really dull and grey on the surface so obviously you won’t see a great deal of light being emitted from these while it is daylight but at night and in caves those do some really good Work so what i’m thinking we might end up doing once we’ve got access to abundant emerald blocks is make a castle with kind of concentric walls and have these blocks lighting up the walls behind them in different combinations to produce different colors and we can do A lot of work with those once we have the green blocks as well because any combination of red green and blue light is going to make any color of the rainbow basically because that’s how light works it’s not like pigments that require different combinations of colors these are the primary colors of light And it looks like we can sleep which means i can finally get rid of the rain but i think i’m probably also destined for some place a little bit warmer and a little bit crispier because today i think it’s probably about time we went to the nether i want to get Myself some more xp for a little bit more enchanting and i want to make some progress into the nether itself and so what we’re going to do is head over to the nether via a portal that i’m probably just going to set up here on the plains biome temporarily We’ve already got our enchanting table set up so i can use the rest of this obsidian to make myself a portal and we’ll make it a little way over here let’s go with this little divot in the ground seems like a good idea we’re going to make the traditional portal We’re not going to skimp out on the corners or anything we’re going to go one two three up there and make the crossbar at the top and we have ourselves the standard nether portal all right uh let’s see what we can do about lighting this thing Up i’m sure i have some flint in here somewhere yep there we go saved one flint in that chest we’ve got an iron ingot in here of course and i think i’ll probably just bring everything i’ve got on me and maybe leave the trident here just in case this nether spawn is Absolutely awful we’ll pop the other diamond pick in there as well in fact let’s leave the silk touch one here because we want to get some quartz and stuff for xp all right looks like we are all geared up and ready to go i’ve still just got Regular iron armor but i’m sure we can get some enchanted diamond stuff a little bit later and we’ll pop this portal on boom and we’ll bring a little bit of cobblestone just in case we need to secure the portal on the other side but this should now be the nether In 1.16 unlike the original rtx survival mini series that i did where the map was fixed on an older version of minecraft this should be the most up-to-date version with all of the new nether terrain in it and i’m really excited to explore some of this in minecraft rtx So let’s do it let’s go through to the nether and see what lies beyond the portal and here we are what kind of terrain do we have oh my gosh we’re in a crimson forest look at this oh that’s amazing look the mushrooms are all glowing although they’re not really producing Any light themselves okay now you’re talking folks okay well the piglens and hoglands should hopefully stay away from the portal if they spawn here but just look at the look at the fog so freaking vibrant up in here and yep as expected the torchlight is not doing much to Light the area let’s start thinking about this in terms of protecting the portal here and maybe signposting this a little bit by having a cobblestone box around it so that we can see where it is from a distance yeah as we came through to the nether i heard a ghast pretty much Immediately and oh gosh now i’m hearing some piglets attacking some oglins so we know where we are all right uh it’s occurred to me that i do not have any gold armor on me right now so i should probably step back through yep no there we go i Knew it was going to happen and this guy is already attacking me well hopefully he didn’t bring too many of his friends along with him and yeah let’s step back through to the overworld and bring some gold armor i swear i’ve gotten so used to playing In other worlds where the nether is just not an issue anymore that i kind of completely forgot well i did find a ruined portal over there beyond that little ridge over there so i did find some gold gear that was already fully enchanted with some pretty decent enchants so I think projectile protection given my track record with the pigelin so far is probably going to be a good idea let’s pop that on my head and maybe the locals will take a little bit more kindly to me we could even actually bring along some of these blocks of gold And do some bartering all right now we’re here let’s get the lay of the land we obviously have a soul sand valley over in that direction look how atmospheric the bone structure looks over there and we’ve got plenty of quartz around i also see an enderman who might just be a Nether native or might potentially be from a warped forest in the vicinity if we could get all of the local biomes right here that would be super cool but yes this nether is certainly feeling a lot more dense and foggy than the previous nether that we’ve encountered it looks Like the crimson forest extends around this way and of course the soul sand valley is already abundant with ghasts and skeletons well i think i’m gonna head in the opposite direction from that in that case and let’s strike out for the crimson forest and see what’s up here Oh okay well the uh the enderman has already found me it looks like so i’m having to defend myself for a second here oh there we go well we got our first ender pearls right away from an enderman who i didn’t even realize was there Well thank you for that oh yikes oh that was a wake-up call okay let’s head out in this direction we’ve got some hoglands browsing the local flora and fauna as well they don’t seem too happy i wonder if there’s is that a oh i think there’s a warped Fungi over here let’s bring one of those with me and hopefully we can use it to stave off the hoglands if we get into a pinch might be able to use a little bit of that later as well look at this we’ve got all this glowstone nearby we will definitely be Taking some of that home because i need to use that for lighting some places up and oh boy the fog alone in here is just making this entire place feel so atmospheric and i wonder if we’ll actually make it to any of the other biomes in this episode grab myself a few blocks Of netherrack so that we can use those for easy pillaring and this time around i brought myself the warped fungus so i can scare off the hoglands yes there we go all right let’s grab that and bring it with us and oh yes oh look at all of this this is this is Super super cool i was really hoping that we’d get to look at the 116 biomes and it looks like we’re doing all right okay you guys should be a little bit more friendly to me this time let’s throw down a walk fungus here and let’s see if you feel like trading some Gold we got this little like safe haven against hoglands right here otherwise these guys might feel like attacking them we got some iron nuggets from you got some gravel from you okay that’s not too bad i wonder if we can set up a couple of things here In the nether as like a little mini nether hub in the near future or even if they feel like trading me some crying obsidian we can make a respawn anchor and make a more permanent base in the nether they’ve already traded me a fire resist potion which is absolutely fantastic and if you Feel like coming over here for some more gold excuse me hopefully we can get a little bit of extra stuff from them that one’s just throwing me some black stone that is great i want more building material a little bit of soul sand from you as well And of course we’re going to have to strike out in search of a fortress at some point and it looks like the hunt is on they’re attacking the hoglands all right well we’ve distracted a couple of them with some gold so hopefully they’ll be able to help in a moment or two A bit of extra obsidian from you or some stuff yep they are seriously going after this hoglin over here there’s a whole pack of piglets after them now and now i feel a lot happier about having gold armor because i would not want all of these guys after Me there we go let’s celebrate the hunt ladies and gents with a little bit of extra gold for you all look at this bartering squad i’ve got going on now let’s see what these guys end up giving me yes yes crying obsidian yes give me your blocks oh Wonderful oh thank you so much friends friends new friends i like to make this kind of new friends especially when they give me all of these extra treats and stuff wonderful got some quartz there as well it’s kind of a shame you don’t end up getting any Xp from bartering but that would be kind of op at this point and look at that a soul speed 2 book how excellent okay well we’ve got a ton of iron ingots or eye nuggets rather there as well so i think we’ll probably take a little Bit of this swag back to the overworld and then i can figure out what i’m going to do about branching out here in the nether the warped fungus is definitely doing the trick against these hoglands though i really don’t feel like fighting them right now not with the equipment that I’ve got not with my basic iron armor and my half-broken shield i think i’ll leave that for another time but man 116 biomes in minecraft rtx look at this i love it so much i’m really looking forward to exploring some more let’s take a look at some of these other Block textures as well because i’ve got some black stone from that and that is looking pretty nice it’s looking nice and matte the way you would expect it to really obsidian on the other hand is nice and shiny and there’s also some crying obsidian over there in that Nether portal but let’s take a quick look at how this looks out there in the light it’s got a lovely purple glow to it much the same as the portal does and i don’t know if that is luminous or not but i guess we will find out you can already see The light coming through the nether portal and lighting up this area with that purple glow which is super cool we’re gonna pop the crying obsidian in here for now i really need to start organizing some of this storage a little bit better though so maybe we’ll have a separate Chest for nether blocks out here i’m i’m being so disorganized about everything and i’m not really building any kind of base yet because i’m still trying to work out exactly what it is i want to build outside of just having a castle somewhere nearby so you know what let’s Just pop another double chest on top of this one and in here we will put all of the nether stuff that seems like a sensible thing to do right now we’ll convert the rest of these iron nuggets into ingots i could always use them for lanterns and chains and stuff a Little bit later if we wanted to but for now we’ll pop those in here and oh boy do i feel better having a couple of potions of fire resistance that’s very very nice to have i think those are going to prove extra useful if we end up Finding a nether fortress and who knows if we’re going to find one of those in this episode because the terrain around here is just so dense there’s a lot to take in but i think we will manage now let’s strike out in this direction i think this is probably The direction of the nether wastes and of course with the coordinates on i’m going to take a quick screenshot of the portal so i know where we are perfect okay let’s strike out in search of some nether fortress we’ve got a ghast up here floating around i’m going To try and take it out with a couple of well-placed arrows yes there we go deflect the fireball as well and oh boy the atmosphere the the blue fire is absolutely something i want to start building with so we’re probably going to grab a little bit more soul Sand from this biome even though we got a little bit from the piglens already i’m thinking we grabbed some more from over here we start making soul campfires and we use oh gosh there’s a bastion right here i did not even realize in the fog but yes It is absolutely here and the fog changes color with the rtx effects as well even that’s so so cool look at the ghasts being lit from underneath by that fire and in different colors just kind of sparkling off their tentacles gasps are kind of shinier than i expected them to be but i Think they really have to be for the rtx effect to really feel complete and look we got our first gas tier here as well fantastic let’s carve off a little bit of the quartz from around here i’m hoping to come back through with fortune a little bit later and grab Some more of this but for now i just want the xp so i can get that fortune and chant on there somehow the real question is do i feel like taking on a bastion before i even find a nether fortress and the answer is i really don’t know especially if there Are piglet brutes in here of course we will be able to take out piglet brutes if we’re just careful but this looks like a treasure bastion to me and something tells me they will not be happy with me taking some of their favorite stuff from inside of here not to mention A magma cube spawner which i cannot help but feel i want to preserve so i think we will keep an eye on this place but i’m not going to tackle it quite yet feels like a lot to do for one episode i think we’re gonna raid that bastion a little bit later on But oh boy am i excited for that there is of course a bunch of nether gold ore nearby and it’s actually kind of subtle the way it looks in the netherrack and i’m kind of fine with that so i’m i’m taking all of the stuff that stands out like the quartz but The nether gold ore just kind of glints subtly like that and i’m happy not to disturb it right now because the piglens seem to be patrolling this area like nobody’s business i’m seeing more of them than i am the zombie variant so i’m thinking we should probably steer clear of mining any gold In this area at least for now but if you’re wondering to yourself if i’m thinking about getting some netherright in this series the answer to that is of course i am are you kidding me we’re gonna do absolutely everything we can now that we got minecraft rtx in 116 Worlds we are going to be looking for netherright a little bit later on we’re going to be mining for some ancient debris in a future episode and i wonder if the ancient debris mining methods are going to be a little bit different on bedrock edition than they are on java I know people tend to go for beds because you don’t have too much lava to worry about underneath the lava lakes here in bedrock edition so yeah i’m wondering if we can do something cool with the netherright a little bit later and i wonder what kind Of resource block it has these are my thoughts right now just look at the amount of skeletons in this biome though i was kind of disappointed i hadn’t found a skeleton spawner yet i may as well just start a skeleton farm here there’s so many of them and if we look For looting on our sword in future then hopefully we’ll be able to take out some of these for some extra bones and the bone meal will help us grow all of the things we need to be growing in the early game let’s see if we can skirt around the soul sand valley for Now though and i am hoping we can run into a warped forest or maybe a basalt delta so i can take a look at one of those in rtx as well because i would love to see what they look like and a short distance away i found one And there’s a gas trapped in the upper branches over here of this warped forest but here we are we’ve found a warp forest home of the enderman here in the nether and it’s right on the edge of this crimson forest as well so this is definitely where i’m gonna come To farm a few early ender pearls and oh it’s so dark feeling in here i think it’s more because it’s in the the larger expanse of the nether cavern and we don’t really have a great deal of light around here beyond just occasional columns of lava i also have to be super Careful that i’m not looking at any enderman by mistake here but everything feels so lush and green kind of takes on a little bit of a different character the particles in the air so we’re definitely ticking the warped forest off of our tourism bucket list Here while we are in the nether and i love what they’ve done with the stems of all of these warped trees they really glow in a way that is kind of implied by the vanilla texture but really stands out when you’ve got some lighting to it and you know what i’m definitely Going to be taking down some of the shroom lights to bring with me i know i should have brought a hoe to take those down more effectively but you know what is that a basalt delta in the distance as well or is that just yeah there’s a little bit more stretch Of warped forest the expanse of it just stretches away into the distance and i’m really looking for a basalt delta so we can see everything that we have to see in the nether before we head home oh and there is one right there okay let me get a Little bit further around so we can approach this properly i am mightily scared of the basalt delta because as we know in this version of the game magma cubes are a little bit more volatile and unpredictable and tend to swarm you a little bit more and the ghasts are disappearing into the Render distance as well hopefully they are gone for good but look look look look at this oh look i love the fact that these lava pools these lava deltas already take on a completely different significance when they are uplighting all of the columns of basalt From below i need to get a higher angle on some of this so i can really take a look at it yeah all right now that that is a biome to behold right there just look at what it’s doing to light up all of those columns of basalt that is absolutely wild and That’s the kind of lighting that i really want to try and emulate with this build that i’m planning is having the castle walls lit from below and that’s going to look absolutely awesome well we know where to come if we want some basalt and it’s probably frankly a basalt Generator because i don’t want to mess with that many magma cubes but oh i’m so happy we found one of these i don’t want to explore it right now even with fire resistance potions but we’ll be back now we know where all of these biomes are only about 500 blocks away from The center of our world and that spawn portal perfect we’ll be back folks we’ll be back here for sure for now though folks i’m just happy to have made it back to the portal and survived our first expedition to the nether and i think i’m going to continue To gather a little bit more quartz and maybe grab some materials from around us in the nether grab some glowstone and bits and pieces and we will see oh look at the gold ore glinting in the ceiling i will see how we can make a little bit of that stuff work In between episodes and when we come back for the next episode i think we’ll spend a little bit more time exploring the nether and a little bit of time figuring out where we’re going to build our starter base here in the rtx survival world but i think that’s where We’re going to wrap it up for today heading back through to the overworld and ending this section of the adventure so folks thank you so much for watching this episode of the minecraft rtx survival series my name has been pixariffs please don’t forget to leave a like on it if you enjoyed it Subscribe if you want to see more and i’ll see you guys soon take
