Yo All right way back So I have an idea on how to solve our gravel problem and how to solve the impending problem of one or 1.20 making netherright annoying to get first though I finally need to get silk touch on this thing so we’re gonna be getting a villager I don’t have a tropical fish So yeah I’m gonna get a villager and they will give me so touch this may take actually I need the bricks absolutely wonderful change that netherite smithing templates will exist And since everybody hates this change we’re gonna we’re just gonna get some netherrite tools to have in reserve first and I need gravel anyway so this is the best way to do it there we go F3 plus G is the shortcut oh we also have this so I can just do this For a second I thought that was lava oh that’s just fire fire is all right we like fire If you’re worried about the pickaxe name uh that wasn’t my idea yeah armored trims are probably gonna be okay I hate that they take seven diamonds instead of just one like they empathy because it’s never happened to me before I’m probably the only person in Minecraft to uses the clock actually And that gravel is just freaking out all right I can smell that gold later foreign netherright was like way more common than this what is this well there we go I usually if you’re giving me Man look at that four right there that’s pretty good actually see that’s that’s what we like to see that is what we like to see A great sea thing I don’t know what I just said but I said something my pickaxe is going to explore oh It took longer to get the Villager honestly I don’t remember how long it took me to get the Villager but it took like five minutes at least that guy was stupid oh look at that look at that two more that is what we like to see I’ve completely guessed No no actually I didn’t guess Castle always knows Cattail is smart Quartz is just messing up the Rhythm messing up the Rhythm see that that was your fault quartz Okay it’s fine we’re fine I’m full on inventory again already kind of like stop being full and inventory we’re just gonna look yeah honestly quartz is really useful in Redstone stuff which I am not an expert at but I do know a couple basics so having courts around is never a bad Thing this this Blackstone this is annoying this is miserable oh my goodness look at this what what is this oh my goodness Yeah nice try oh oh nope I have a quartz build but uh you saw at the health center extremely scapped infinitely repeating charges there’s like seven ways to do that which way do you use torches repeaters repeaters and torches uh using competitors for is just extra honestly piston the clock Hopper clock I need to learn how to make Hopper blocks actually those seem like really useful here’s repeaters and it starts with the torch yeah if you have three Redstone torches that’s an automatic Redstone clock right there no repeaters required so Thank you Oh that’s the one full of sand We’re fine I could use some more uh netherite though only getting two more or two more pickaxes would just feel bad honestly like we could we could get like five more pickaxes five more pickaxes would probably be a bit much actually that’s lava again you know what the worst thing is in the New update is that you’re gonna like you know use an entire netherrite and get for an armor trim and it’s gonna look awful and you’re just like I just wasted another right on that Thank you what what why are we at now Oh Negative 800 that’s a Um you’re talking about uh hold on wreck rap right There’s probably other people doing it too actually That didn’t work thank you yeah it took me it took him hours for this leather yeah I saw the video see the that video just confirmed my fears of why like the seven diamonds for a single armor trim is such a bad idea because you could argue it’s just Cosmetics but the thing with Cosmetics is that they’re supposed to be like interchangeable right you want your Cosmetics to be able to be swapped out you want to be able to equip different things what you don’t want is to have it so that you’re forced to run the same Cosmetic over and over and over again because that’s boring and lame I think I’m lost no it’s this way is correct is that it I think this way is it yeah yeah I don’t know it’s a labyrinth down here now so yeah meant to be easy to have changed yeah See I’m fine with having some rare Cosmetics but like having Cosmetics that require netherright already does that or requiring you to get armor trims from like the ancient city or from the Elder Guardians like that already takes care of the grind part I don’t like that it requires seven Diamonds because that doesn’t give a good use to Diamonds all it’s doing is making Diamonds the Cosmetic item which just devalues them even more if anything I didn’t mean to This is the wrong portal I went to the wrong portal but yeah I think diamonds should have a different use but I’m fine with them being required for the upgrade template cloning whatever just Why seven like come on man like if it was one Diamond that would be Fine and it would still give another use to Diamonds and people would still be happy you don’t need it to be seven also the another right upgrade template is the whole reason I’m doing this stream the way I am so Uh all right victory I don’t know I could go on for hours on my thoughts of uh as smithing template changes and just all that are having Diamond equipment you were showing good for Armature yeah yeah I think people are so excited to have another use for diamonds that they’re blinding themselves to the fact that this use kind of sucks like you know what iron can be used for Hoppers and Redstone and it can be used for iron bars and other uh cool things lanterns Iron just has so many uses decorative mechanical And just general purpose diamonds needs more of that not more well I guess armor trims are a step in the right direction but they need to be used in other recipes like golden iron I guess the main problem is diamonds are like infinitely farmable like gold and iron are because there’s no diamond Farms but if anything that’s the game’s fault You don’t see people complaining about netherright do you no people complain that it’s too hard to get now they’re gonna keep complaining that’s too hard to get because for some reason but some reason they decide to make it harder I have a lot of hot takes honestly but This is not meant to be an opinionated stream it’s just meant to be fun So you can see how the armor trim will look but so on the smithing table it will show you what the armor trim will look like when you put it on the problem is is that the render is very small and you know it’s also not on the player itself Because you know different players have different skins sometimes the trim just won’t look good with a specific skin for whatever reason I don’t know I’m no fashion designer actually they probably they’d probably like try to shoot me if I went near a fashion school but Okay um we can get two netherite ingots or two yeah two another right things there was another right pickaxe there yeah there’s two netherite pickaxes here so we can just upgrade those uh what furnace is this just sew these in here I forgot to grab lava You know there’s people complaining that Minecraft is too easy I think that’s one of the funniest things is people are just like oh Minecraft is Minecraft’s too easy I I want the game to be more difficult like they’re the only ones who you know play the game Oh right I need to turn off chunk orders making things more difficult isn’t good because Minecraft is a casual game and I’ve made this stream opinionated again great job cat tail that’s that’s that’s what we like to see I guess ah we’re fine yeah so if you’re wondering what I need The concrete for I’ll show you in a bit but yeah that sounds especially Like how you don’t enjoy hard yeah see that’s like a difficulty thing right and that’s good you know what that is customizable difficulty you can just not use totems you have the option it’s not that you need to make totems harder to get for everybody you just you know don’t use totems You don’t need to make netherright harder to get for everybody you just need to you know maybe add the some Cosmetics are already hard to get for everybody like the ones in the ancient cities or whatever of course I don’t like ancient cities for a different reason but optional Content and difficulty is good game design I forgot to die Where’d I put the where I put the die Is it in here it isn’t here yeah I need a lot of red I need a lot more red actually that’s only four that is bad I need to go grab some flowers yeah now for the longest time I didn’t have this world unpeaceful because I thought That you know it would ruin the Integrity or whatever but then I’d realized hey you know what the world isn’t difficult even with Mobs on anyway they’re just annoying so like at a certain point you just have to realize that difficulty is not something Minecraft is made to have I guess that’s Why mods exist oh yeah just you know the internet like are you well sharing your opinion on the Internet or having an opinion on the internet I should say is uh it’s like throwing up a declaration of war you know you don’t do it unless you have really good confidence in yourself that You can win and if you can’t well that’s on you I guess you know the rules Um foreign But it’s fine we’re fine At least you’re good on sand Okay uh yeah I need to repair my pickaxe Ah so what this building is right here this thing this thing is pumpkins A lot of pumpkins three floors of an automatic pumpkin farm For maintenance reasons I left this open as a view so you can actually see in the hopper mine carts but yeah Pumpkins Okay I will take all those emeralds oh you want to give me at a discount thank you See who needs stuff like an Enderman farm when you just have pumpkins all right inside and you also suck well we just got like 64 emeralds just off that so Minecraft is supposed to be a difficult game said nobody ever Yeah and because getting concrete is so annoying I literally built this structure here this is actually where I had my first death because concrete is stupid I have these two extra netherrite pickaxes just in my inventory huh foreign Chain armor see I think the reason people complain about leather armor isn’t that it’s hard to get it’s that you have to go out of your way to get it and you know most people are just going to go right right for iron anyway so they don’t see the point in leather Armor existing But by that logic You could argue why the heck are people so excited for stuff like camels of the Cherry Grove to come to the game because those things also don’t really have a purpose because they don’t really add that much but you know people will defend those with their lives so Not everything gets to have a strictly progression based or gameplay-based Focus that’s not how the game works most of the game is Just cosmetic and other stuff Yeah So yeah that’s my uh that’s my torch clock right there it uses five torches just because I think it makes the clock extend for longer or take longer to activate I don’t know if it’s true maybe I could have just done it with three I’m gonna need to get more concrete Actually hold on Thank you Now I hit the other wall Cherry Grove yeah honestly I really like the new cherry wood are you kidding I was one block off ugh this is gonna be awful I have a full inventory I wish you could just like throw these items in the water it would turn them that would be hilarious but alas we are not so fortunate I’m excited for some of the stuff in 1.20 I just I don’t know also armor trims are gonna be uh they’re gonna be a thing And I’m gonna spend like seven hours in a creative world testing out what combination I think looks best Thank you Are the commands gun for that gonna work actually Like do you specify what trim it has and what material the trim is made of can you say a trim is made of wood that would be funny I’m guessing no because that would be like way too difficult Game and just a reminder we still have like seven stacks of red concrete left Nothing markers With another person um I think Minecraft here’s the thing is Minecraft is two different games in one right it’s a Sandbox that you can play by yourself or it’s like a social role-playing game you can play with friends it does both things at the same time and you you kind of just have to Kind of divide what you think of Minecraft by those two things I don’t know I I think the the big social thing with Minecraft is that you get to create these stories with other people and that’s always really fun because you get to see other people create their own Things and you get to create alongside them in a single player world like this one it’s instead about creating your own monuments and achievements in this world and finding your own enjoyment in it instead of being a way to hang out with friends it’s a way to express your Creativity it’s kind of just like drawing but in a different way so I don’t know like I guess the way I’d put it is that an artist could have like a favorite painting but they don’t really have the memory of making that painting is the thing they don’t remember making it they just Are proud of how they made it and how good it had turned out so I guess that’s the difference is that the single player is more about you know getting to the destination in multiplayer is about not having a destination it’s just about hanging out with friends Which is what makes Minecraft I think so appealing to everybody is because it’s literally just two completely different experiences in the same package it all depends on how you play it And I’m just gonna be holding down like a left click for the next like I don’t know five minutes or something Yeah this isn’t exactly the most visually interesting stream it’s almost like a podcast with like occasional piston noises in the background You know here’s a question when did you start first playing Minecraft I remember I first started playing with my brother on the Xbox 360 and horses were well that’s not even true I started playing on my brother’s account on the PC and then they got locked out of that account so me and my other brothers started playing on 360 a few years later Foreign horses came out and for the longest time I thought horses were like a new thing and that lasted until like 2018 for me See when you first played Minecraft what did you do did you look up stuff on the internet did you figure it out you’re a lot longer and you’re terrified to enter the nether I don’t blame you then nether kind of just sucked back then and it still kind of sucks now but It’s at least better than it was concrete concrete concrete I mean gas are scary honestly like gas or freaking scary in there there’s other things as well foreign I mean I still get jump scared by mobs every now and again I was terrified of the spiders in this game they were like My nemesis of course this was back when skeletons were garbage and didn’t have Aimbot so skeletons quickly took number one place as my arch enemy I remember when cats were added geez I’ve been playing for a long time play one of the Halloween texture packs And ate all the fire and such green oh I remember those those that’s that’s premium Minecraft days right there I kind of want to say like 1.8 1.9 might have been like the height of Minecraft at least like in a nostalgic sense I think more recently it’s easily like caves and cliffs part two but like in the Nostalgia sense nothing beats that time I don’t remember what year those that time period would be but it was a time period yeah the texture packs used to be so awesome I don’t use them anymore because I don’t know I guess at this point like it’s fun with all the stuff but as the Game gets updated more and more and there’s more blocks the point of texture packs is to change how the game looks but when there’s so many new things to look at all the time do you need to change it up if the game is changing it up for you I wonder how difficult it would be to play with a texture pack where literally everything looks the same that would be awful Foreign Block off from getting killed I need to learn my lesson I need I need to stop doing stuff like that those old classic mini games good times uh I guess my relationship with Minecraft has always been kind of different because I never really had a ton of online friends so Of course I’d play with my brother all the time but different sort of feeling sure oh the Glide mini game I never played that one that much because by the time it released uh like it it was only like about a year between the release of that and then Minecraft becoming Bedrock Glide was not around for a long time of course back then when I played Minecraft I was achievement hunting and uh there were no Glide achievements so thank you man I wish they would just make a way for concrete to not take forever yeah there’s some consoles you can tap Additions and go back to it yeah see I played console because uh I swapped a PS4 when I got a PS4 but then the game just got so laggy and I just couldn’t play it after that I’ve I got my computer and just started playing it on here Well I got my old computer and played it on there for a little bit but I did a couple of hardcore series that didn’t last very long Yeah this there were multiple tutorial worlds just the thing and you’d go through the little stone brick Dugout thing they’d have when you complete the tutorial and you’d see the giant Minecraft Sign flying in the sky that is a moment that is a magical moment right there Um another portal hidden set yep as I remember I built up there and found it Indeed the days you see this is something that’s really interesting I think about just uh you know video games in general these days is that we’ve become so nostalgic why are you outside the I hate this why do you keep spawning out here I’m gonna go grab a lava bucket and kill him Now how do you get out here I don’t think he likes me right now [Applause] he didn’t even drop anything outside that okay well that was a failure Yeah see I think a part of that is that games are so much more profit focused now and things like micro transactions just didn’t really exist that back then and if they did not to the degree they do now it it’s not that you know the games are Inherently bad but it’s always something you think about now when playing games the games aren’t made to be games anymore occasionally once in a while you find a game that is like that but it’s more rare than it used to be I think that’s why people become nostalgic for the old gate the old days more and more because the new days are just they just don’t compare and I don’t think it’s all nostalgia See that that’s just that’s just it I guess Foreign used to be uncommon for microtransactions or to be a joke like oh look at this ha ha but more money we don’t need that we’re gonna make a good game Uh of course things change and you can’t always go back to what was but you can look forward to the future And perhaps things will get better I think the war on loot boxes slash mikeerson’s actions will eventually be won but it will probably take a long time on the official supporting game it’s not for this weekend yeah or it’s a Kirby game oh wait I meant to go out the other way I wasn’t gonna go get gravel yet thank you see I don’t think video games as a medium will ever truly be in a bad situation again because there’s just so many people that have a passion for this medium and would not want to see it squandered so make of that what you will I think it means that well We’ll get through it eventually So if you’re wondering what the concrete is for I feel like I forgot something Thank you oh I forgot that I forgot the white concrete I’m that’s right that’s right out I was supposed to also make white concrete I didn’t do that well that kind of sucks So yeah that’s the SWAT of my first mega build It’s a feeling you get experiencing everything I mean I think that’s part of it but I also think that a lot of people get focused on the feeling and that’s that’s honestly just their own fault at that point there comes a time where you need to acknowledge that You’re making the feeling seem better than it was at the time I don’t think it’s that games have started feeling super different I think it’s that you miss being able to be oblivious with the games not realizing that everything was done for profit or micro transaction reasons or whatever I don’t think it’s the games you necessarily Miss but the Innocence not the feeling either of course that’s just my hot take but I think that’s why it’s also so interesting looking at like social games because as you get smarter it also becomes harder to interact with people I would say Because you become aware that you know maybe this person doesn’t share the same interests as you or maybe this maybe this person would rather be doing this or this so it becomes adding because you’re more aware of other people it just adds to that feeling you get Of course you got to draw the line somewhere you can’t just be living hopelessly your entire life but there is a certain danger I guess it’s a danger I don’t think it’s danger I’m probably using the wrong word like now welcome back to the castle streamer half of everything we talk about turns exclusive stuff is just Way cooler than the Java exclusive stuff it’s just that Java has more exclusive stuff So the Bedrock player is just like oh the exclusives foreign that almost went poorly I mean it did go poorly but we almost died that was almost really bad also did you see that unintentional concrete parkour Genius anyway yeah I I don’t know about vibrancy with bedrock I mean Yeah see this you’ve noticed like all our discussions though are about you know things that have a lot of potential to have Arguments for a lot of sides or interesting discussion concerning like how things came to be so take bed fraction short compared to Java honestly the more muted colors of java I Don’t like as much mostly just because I like my stuff bright and colorful with rainbows and other things foreign Question whose idea was it to like start using like different colored Flags to symbolize stuff like you know the lgbtqia plus Community or however letters are in their name now like who decided he was using colors to do that spectrum because like it’s a smart idea but at the same time it just Feels weird because now you can’t look at rainbows the same way and that saddens me because get eight concrete powder in a water bucket and you get concrete and you get your bucket back Sands water of course but it it would just be like cake I guess not also cake is the weirdest crafting recipe in this game like by far not only Is it the only crafting recipe in the game that uses an egg of all things and also uses buckets in it where do you get the buckets back but in addition to all that cake is not only non-stackable but it’s placeable as a block and it requires two wheat No three wheat white is there wheat and cake why is there wheat in cake hold on like why there you get three wheat two sugar an egg and three buckets of milk that’s a lot of milk for some cake I guess that’s why it makes a solid cake Is because you put so much stuff in it just becomes solid to the point where a person in full armor can stand on it Why can you place cake but not pumpkin pie that’s something that’s always bothered me why is cake so special Only placeable food item it it’s I don’t understand also I always forget candles are in the game but yeah those are in the game huh and they they interact with cake sorry for making you hungry foreign it’s the little nuances of Minecraft that are just so fascinating and fascinatingly interesting because There’s no consistency in this game like why do why do boats get different textures but chests don’t crafting tables don’t why is it Stone makes stone brick but cobbled deep slate makes deep slate grig what what is the logic who decided these arbitrary rules uh where did I put the other choker box Squid you have zero people to blame but yourself honestly Minecraft should just do the uh Suicide Prevention update squids no longer kill themselves all the time you’re gonna be good marketing I mean like squids are so famous for just committing Sudoku that I don’t know why I said stoku if I already said okay but yeah this stream is gonna get destroyed the other two pickaxes are still just here You know it’s June now so like
