Hello and welcome or should I say howdy partner is the day we’re building a Wild West cowboy town I’m really excited about this one guys have never rebuilt anything in the mess of iron before but I definitely think it’s the best place for our rootinest tootinest Wild West Town we’re gonna go for a traditional log of all the essentials like a general store a saloon and I picked this area as I think the town was it really comfortably in this dry valley so without further ado let’s get started and I’m a Wild West cowboy town So before we do anything else we’re going to plan out our town using red wool once I began I realized we needed a bit more room so I used worldedit to push the valley walls back slightly to give our buildings a bit more room to breathe marking our buildings before Building them is a very important step and could prevent a lot of unwanted work later on in the build next we need to make our main streets amused and worn as many horses would be traveling up and down the street I did this by Brecon of the ball and plain red Sand with dirt grenade and red sandstone I think this combination worked really well so the first building were gonna build is the Church of the chapel this is going to be right at the end of the Main Street as a focal point and a community center for the local people After doing some research using Pinterest and doodle images are discouraged that these were usually white buildings so I use birch planks this is the closest to white that who get Whilst being bothered by a traveling salesman I decided to build a small cemetery next to the churches and stone walls I tried building the dead tree but found it didn’t really look right so I just left it out next to the church I wanted to build a Small house as a soft guinea pig for the Western bacon style at most Wild West buildings I added a porch and a balcony and decided to add some stairs up the side we found this was a common feature among this style I added a flat roof with a curved front wall and other Details at lamps a flower pots are different part Now every wild west town has gunslingers and train robbers so I thought it was best to build ourselves a jailhouse using a different combination of planks and stripped logs I followed the stereotypes and created a really cool looking building I then turned the buck wall into cobblestone to Make it harder to plan any sort of escape from our jailhouse After a long time messing around with banners and dyes I managed to create a convincing sign which really finished the building off Next is time to give our towns fork somewhere to buy some goods we started building our general store with our standard porch large windows and a space for a sign on the front And then added some coral blocks onto the porch surrounded by trapdoors to make it look like barrels of fruit it’s a really nice detail I then added some chests and lanterns to bring the shop to life I was really pleased with how this one turned out now to move on probably the most Important building of the tower everyone’s favorite players the saloon I went for a different law which was Jingle Punks for this one to really break up the row of structures I’ve been judging the width of each building by working out how many letters are laid for each sign and after realizing that Saloon was only six letters long I shortened the width of the shoe with the front of the the saloon by a few blocks or so so that the sign would be central after adding a staircase with the side and fences out the front for our thirsty For to tie their horses this is my favorite building so far Now I decided to add another little house into the town this time without a porch and given the building a bit of a different shape to mix things up a little bit I added some hay bales barrels alongside some dead bushes and emplacement I was one Clara [Applause] Next we’ve got a bank to build in order to keep the sheriff busy we need a bank to rob I decided to go for a taller lock on this one but kept all the traditional features we’ve been working with I added a sign and some window details and it turned out pretty nice Every cowboy needs somewhere to buy his guns so a good start was definitely needed here I went for a similar look to our jailhouse but with a square shop front and a slop roof instead of a flat one to add a bit of bit of variety to our town So for our quick top tip of the day if you’re building wooden buildings you want to look a bit worn a bit thrown together use much in wooden signs and drawers along on top of your planks to make it look at large planks have been used to repair these all wooden Structures it’s a great tip and really add story in detail to your builds now I really wanted to build a corner building in this town so I built this I don’t know exactly what Akabane maybe a hotel or something but I really like how it turned out with its wraparound balcony In its corner entrance when looking on Pintrest and stuff I found out a lot of with Western while western buildings have these features and the the larger building would really help balance out the look of our town but then realized that our cowboy town didn’t even have a stables so after Making a bit more spaces world at it I began to build one by using a smaller version of a stable I’ve done before in a previous tutorial I’ll leave a link below if you want to watch that I built our local horses somewhere to live after building the men’s stable and created a Fenced off paddock next door our horses to walk around I added a water trough and some hair just to finish the build off nicely I then added a small traditional entrance gate to our town and then I continued our warm path right up to the entrance of the Main Street [Applause] after discovering that most Wild West towns have a big water tower in them I thought it best to give our town one I Used a similar design to that Jared Gaiman who did a tutorial video on YouTube I’ll leave his link below as it’s much better than the one I did and but anyway I used some barrels and some ladders to add some details to ours which finished it off nicely Just as I was about to declare our town finished I thought wait a minute a railway bridge would look really good crossing the valley behind our little town so by using dark oak planks stairs and stripped logs I came up with a design and I was really pleased with how It turned out I had railway trucks across the top and this bridge is just the cherry on the top of our little West in town And there we have it ladies and gentlemen our very own Wild West cowboy town and over the moon this house has turned out and I hope you’ve enjoyed watching if so drop a thumbs up below and let me know any of the bills
