Exploring Horse Stables in the Wilderness! (Minecraft Mods)

Hello my name is hector welcome back to life in the woods renaissance yes we are back we are back here we are back home my horse my terrible horse that a few of you took the mickey out of and i think rightfully so uh is over here um

I’ve taken the saddle off just in case i mean the horse couldn’t even jump over this fence well actually no i think they might he might actually be able to jump over the fence but uh i i didn’t i i rode him over just in case

I didn’t want him to feel even more embarrassed than he already was but he’s just there for now but because we have a horse i thought i’m getting all horse excited and this has been in my plans for a while what i wanted was a kind of stable area

Um so we’re still not going back to the mansion quite yet i wanted to ease myself back into building in life in the woods um and um let’s yeah i don’t want you or you or you any of you there we go man the scythe is amazing i love this why isn’t this

In vanilla and yeah i wanted to just ease myself into back into building in the in the series i think we need maybe a little bit more moderate over this way oh let let’s um can i yeah okay good i don’t wanna i wanna get lots of stuff in my inventory

My inventory is already quite full and i’ve got to say you know i’ve been playing a lot of other kind of minecraft versions now and 1.7 does kind of feel old now you know every time i play life in the woods i kind of keep forgetting that

Certain things aren’t in it that it’s still 1.7 it’s starting to show its age even though it wasn’t it’s not that old a mod pack okay i think that’s good i think that’s good let us yeah okay good there we go oh man my inventory look at it it’s

Already a mess uh let’s just dump some stuff down here i don’t need that i don’t need this these things i don’t need is that it that will do that will do for now let us put a project crafting bench over here and what i wanted to start with actually is

There is a trick that you can do with the slabs like this i think now i can get in there but i don’t know if a horse can i don’t know if that’s too small for a horse or whether that will be okay i don’t know let’s actually go find out because i

Let’s go have a look to see if this injures the horse no i just i literally just can’t ride in okay okay so i can get in there can then just i can’t remember how this works then is it another bit up so like this perhaps

Where is my old axe there we go a brand new axe especially for this episode there we go bam bam where are you so i can get in now quite easily and i think i presume the horse can easily get out so does it mean that this is one lower

Oh come on there is a way of doing this for animals i’m sure there is specifically for horses now can’t does a horse think it can get through there i don’t know because that is two and a bit blocks high huh huh i wonder can it get through that

Was that that’s not what is that what i started with i can’t remember now where’s my bed okay let’s put a bed there let’s sleep quickly okay back and i figured it out i figured it out uh so you have this three box high like

This and then this bit doesn’t go on the same bit as that it goes on the one block behind it okay that is how that works and that means you can kind of come in here there you go like that and uh and leave your horse fault

Leave your horse in there and the horse kind of thinks it can’t get out even though it can that is how that works um so you have one two three and then one and then one no no no no no wrong one there we go one two and three okay so

Let’s make some more slabs and so i don’t have a talking point this week i don’t believe but um what i was gonna just briefly mention because i said you know last episode you know gonna support belgium in the uh in the euros this is football so apologies if you

Don’t like football um and uh yeah they they lost their opening game too now two nil it was a bad match they did not play well in fact they reminded me of how england used to play and back in our golden generation which was awful

Um but yeah so that was a that was a grand disappointment that was so let’s have a look what i was wondering if what would work well is these things but i don’t know if that looks a little bit odd because they don’t attach ah but maybe maybe maybe maybe

What i could do um is put that there like that and then put a bit of this oh i like that i like that i think that’s quite nice i think that is quite nice there we go something like that and then maybe another block like that on top

I quite like that i think i’ll i’ll go for that let’s try that out oh and my shovel broke shovel broke there we go put that there bam excellent excellent stuff so i’m quite excited about these little stables i’ve been wanting to have a stable area for

Quite a while but there didn’t seem to be any points um uh how do i make these again i think it’s like this yes uh let’s make eight there we go um yeah there didn’t seem to be much point really because i didn’t have a horse so i didn’t kind of

Feel like i i should do them really okay so and we have potentially i don’t know actually i don’t know i don’t know we need to separate these out don’t know how we’re gonna do that but what i think one two three is we’re gonna have this at the back as well

So let’s do that there we go yes good good good good then we have the middle bits here as well this looks so weird like that yeah that looks a little bit odd um mate i feel like i don’t want to put another one on top there

Okay so i went ahead and got some um some cobble because i think we could do with a little bit of kind of a little bit of cobblestone in the mix uh let’s put that there maybe hmm no pig no pig this is this is for horses not

Pigs i don’t know i don’t know if that will go maybe i kind of rim all the way around like this like that okay okay that’s okay that’s all right i don’t mind that um i feel like we’re gonna need some stairs so let’s make some stairs where is is this normal yep

Yes it is there we go is it getting nighttime again actually what would be nice and i don’t have any here look at my horse just wandering off okay welcome back uh i’ve done a bit of off camera work not too much so i’ve separated these in with that cobblestone

And i’ve replaced the kind of thin post with just normal things because i don’t know i think it just looks a little bit better now i was kind of thinking about coming across like this and doing that all kind of chestnut because i want them yeah quite i like that i like that

I’m gonna have to get more dark oak i didn’t think i was gonna use this much but i think that that works quite nicely i wanted it to be kind of quite heavy you know like like it’s quite a heavy type of build and hmm don’t know about the walls

I’m not sure i presume i presume that yeah the horses shouldn’t be able to kind of i’m kind of thinking maybe maybe we don’t maybe we don’t have cobble in the middle maybe we’ll have fences i don’t know that might be nicer i just feel kind of feel that um

A wall is too thick uh so what would have we got that i can i can do that there we go and i can oh i can only make two fences out of that okay let’s try a bit more go that’s a bit better look how cheap look how cheap the fences are

I know we can use other fences but i quite like using different type of woods like that okay okay i quite like that that to me feels like there’s a little bit more space around here you know a little bit more space which is cool so ah maybe maybe for the walls

We have no i didn’t want that i did not want that good come back come back you errands stare there we go uh that oh wow sun in the face can’t see there we go wow we have that quite like that i quite like that

Yeah and i know in here that makes it a little bit dull but i’m all right with that because it’s you know it’s only for the horses and that that is fine that is fine i don’t want the insides to be too kind of um too amazing you know

I don’t think that works so we need one more set of stairs for that uh yeah i don’t think we’re going to be using any more of that uh we don’t need that many let’s make 12. there we go every time i come over here my mouse

Goes crazy and i don’t know what it is about this little bit over here i don’t know don’t know it’s fine everywhere else there we go and bam okay yeah i quite like that now we need something in the middle and maybe oh maybe it needs to be

Again it just feels like quite heavy which i like okay so we’ve got enough wood as well to do this and i think this should work like that as well so we have that there then bam and bam like that then we have you pretty much kind of coming all the way across

And this kind of this is a style that i do like doing you know the logs kind of jutting out like that i don’t know it just feels it always feels very solid and secure to me as a kind of design choice build you know that’s not where i wanted that

There we go bam bam yeah okay quite like that quite like that now i don’t know about the roof i’m not sure i’m not sure if we need a kind of roof for it or not um don’t know don’t know my inventory is full again what do i not need don’t need that

I don’t think i need spruce saplings i did try this brick but actually it kind of doesn’t work and i chisel the brick yeah i can none of these are that exciting i mean these look cool but i don’t know i don’t know i’ve got a thought a thought let’s go up here

Like this i can take you out to you out like that um and a bit a bit there is if i did oh no i haven’t got a hammer oh that’s so irritating let me let me sleep and let me get a hammer and i’ll be right back

Okay so we are back now back we are back got myself a hammer there we go so i just kind of wanted to do this and then kind of what i was thinking is if we put these on like this and rather than having like a a really

Tall roof we have quite a uh i can’t think of a word like a a narrow not a narrow but a unless of a steep slope so more shallow that’s the word shallow um what do we think don’t know if i like the cobble the cobble texture on that

Don’t know if that is correct so nope nope that is not what i wanted is it this one yeah okay so let’s get rid of all of this oh you not that’s not too hard not too hard and i tell you what i am that’s one thing that i’m missing in a

In 1.9 and and kind of further in the moderate is chisel and carpenters blocks they’re such a kind of big part of the kind of you know the modded scene and i think there has been a new chisel come out i think it’s uh it’s quite quite new i

Don’t know if it’s very stable but um i know there is a new one uh let us i know this is daft we are using and we don’t really need to do that but just because it’s here oh no no no no no no but yeah i am missing them i am missing

Them oh that’s not what i wanted either a man hmm don’t know about that either don’t know if i maybe i don’t need maybe i don’t need a roof i don’t know let’s have a little look-see around the side does it just not look a little bit

Odd like this i kind of feel like something on top would be good but perhaps i am wrong perhaps i’m wrong i’m gonna try i’m just going to try and put a roof on this just like a standard kind of roof and see okay so i’m going to do that

Quickly and then i’ll come back to you okay so that was quite a while and i’ve come to the conclusion i just don’t think i need a roof i just don’t think i need one um i tried a few things and i just didn’t like anything it all looked

A little bit weird i tried with slabs and i just wasn’t happy so i decided to go bare at the top but what i did think i would do is just make this bit a little bit nicer like that just in case you know

Just in case we do see from up there i think that’s uh i think that’s fair and then maybe what we should do is this as well just to make sure that nothing can kind of spawn up here and i know things can spawn around the edges but

It should diminish quite a lot what can spawn up here i think this should be all right and then we’ll we’ll kind of light up the kind of stuff around here as well okay so so what we’re gonna do down here now like this yeah yeah i just i just think

It’s fine i just think i it honestly i think it looks fine so this is dark oak wood what i have been thinking is actually putting these here which is a little bit crazy but i kind of like it i kind of like the look of that it kind of reinforces oh

Look at that do we do it up here as well oh this has just like changed everything for me oh that looks maybe a little bit weird hello although hell quite like that okay okay okay okay we have discovered something new so let’s let’s try it let’s make a good lot come on

There we go there we go um quite like this i quite like the look of all of this than that okay a random bit there good uh and then we have some up here as well i know this is all quite dark but yeah quite like that you can’t

Necessarily just see it all but i think that kind of bulks it out quite nicely and it adds that kind of heft that you know that kind of weight that i was talking about which i am a fan of and i have not made enough i have not made enough by far

There we go and then i need what uh six and then i need some one two three four five times three fifteen fifteen and six 21 okay and let’s make a few more there we go 21 okay if my math is correct that should be

All what we need and i am very much going to guess that my math is not correct that i have forgotten something but let’s let’s see let’s find out let’s face this way so we don’t get blinded by the sun there we go uh let’s just take you away

Looks a little bit weird it looks a little bit odd oh i do like it now i do like it i hope you do as well i think i think the posts really just add that little bit more it’s that texture and i know it’s it’s really dark and you probably can hardly

See it but i think it does make a difference it just gives it a little bit more depth you know depth is something that i think i struggle to get in minecraft sometimes now what i was kind of gonna do is put a little bit of wheat in in all of the

Ah let’s put you there and then maybe a little kind of pile here let’s just bring this out as well oh a little bit more there we go uh what shall we do with you actually let’s do you that way around and then you move that way around there we go

A little bit of wheat out here that’s yeah i think that’s all right maybe we put some here as well just like you know it’s some has kind of spilled out a little bit and then as the last kind of thing what i was going to do is make some cauldrons

And there we go there we go and i shall put this um yeah let’s put this in the same side so that there and then some water this is obviously for the horses to drink there we go there we go and let’s let’s just fill

Her up and then see let’s stand back and admire the work that we have done uh yeah i like that i think what i need is some stuff here uh i don’t think i can leave that there no i can’t i was trying to cheat i’m trying

To cheat let’s just put that there then that’s fine that’s cool i like that yeah that’s nice uh where have we not got water here and actually what i think i should do i think this will be the last kind of touch that we do let’s just get there we go

I’m not happy with the grass and how that looks so let’s just let’s get some of this um cobble dirt i don’t want too much of this just a little bit just here and there just to kind of mess the textures up in here a little bit i think they’re a bit too

Nice looking so let’s let’s just add a little bit of a little bit of randomness have a go um you there there we go what else have we got what other what other textures um reinforce cobble dirt bricks the dirt layers i don’t know i don’t know what a lot of these are

What’s this let’s see okay i’m all right with that let’s put you in a little bit here and there and yeah i don’t like the grass so let’s remove all of the grass and just add a little bit of a little bit of randomness i think dirt makes more sense

For a horse stable and there we go and it’s getting to be night again getting to be night again vertical dirt that’s just what i had crumbling dirt okay add some crumbling dirt into the mix very nice bam bam and it’s going to be night again can i sleep yet

Yes i can excellent right last little bit last little bit let’s see what else have we got horizontal dirt yeah why not oh no no no no no no no there we go that’s what i wanted that’s what i wanted let’s see okay so that just kind of looks like

Normal dirt i’m i’m all right with that i like that but i’m guessing because it’s chiseled block it won’t get grassed we won’t have any worries about it turning to grass which is that’s what we want okay oh yeah that’s a lot better that is a lot better so where right where

Oh where’s our horse wandered off to there there he is oh she there they are let’s say that yes okay excellent let’s put the horse in and let’s put it in the first stall here there we go very nice let’s get out of here now

Yeah look at that oh i like that i like that very happy with that little build and yeah the posts do make it for me i like it i hope you like it as well oh yeah i’m really glad we did this now so i’m gonna hopefully in between episodes i’m gonna try

And get myself a horse and a donkey or a mule no it’ll be a donkey probably um like a decent horse and just a just a donkey any old donkey that would be nice now let’s actually thinking about it let’s get you off just in case and maybe

Maybe we can put this saddle around here somewhere we’ll just like either put chest or an item frame something like that that would be nice and maybe a couple of leads i think that’s that would be nice so i might do that in the meantime um as
