fWhip – I DIED in my 1000+ Day Minecraft 1.16 Hardcore Survival World

Hey folks whip here and welcome back to the hardcore world i’ve taken the last few days off for a little bit of a mental health break as i for sure as heck needed one so i’m ready to dive back here into the world and get some builds going on i’m super excited

For today’s episode but there’s a few things we’ve been neglecting around the world mainly our minecraft chores of all of the crops over there and taking care of our animals before we get to that i want to jump down into the storage room super fast in our village center and throw away

All of this coal the plan for today’s episode is i wanted to build up a gatehouse because well we don’t quite have anything to stop mobs from entering into our village every villager i’ve released at this point in time i’m pretty sure is dead and that’s quite sad so today i wanted

To start building a wall in a village something or another around our place like a gatehouse type thing so we don’t really have to worry about that anymore let’s let those auto sort and move on now before i jump over to that stuff we for sure as heck need to get those

Chores done otherwise i for sure i’m gonna leave them and say i’m gonna do them in the next episode again and then i still won’t do them so let’s go do those things now one thing i feel like i used to do all of the time was

Build with hay bales and make those big thatched roofs and i kind of want to get back to that i’ve been really wanting to do like an ocean village settlement on some islands and i found a really cool flower flower forest biome on an island that i

Thought could be so fun to do something like that so we really need a lot of this wheat for sure all right easy part of the chore is done now time to actually replant the field before i forget that thing again yep done that a few times

You know what while we’re at it we should probably get the carrots and potatoes as well random thought here as the sun is setting why did they add golden carrots to the game why not golden potatoes perfect for boiling mashing and putting in stews i think that’d be a much better fit than

These stupid golden carrots we munch on all the time but what would be a very important thing to have as a bed and i don’t even have my ender chest where did i put that ooh i’m running to go find that thing no matter how strong my gear is oh

My gosh there’s a lot of things over by the beacon we’re working on taking this land mass down over here on streams to be able to build a giant dwarven gatehouse and uh we should probably take these things out of here first and then we sleep oh gosh oh gosh

Okay he’s dealt with he’s dealt with let’s get this guy okay perfect and time to sleep very important thing to check there is that pickaxe i had was not the fortune once we would have lost her under chest now where were we all right gathering up all of our golden potatoes

And of course moving on over to the carrots where i don’t know why but we have such a massive carrot field i feel like i never even harvest these things i maybe have harvested this whole thing once i just love the color of the carrots from the sky

It’s so cool to be able to fly across them and see all of them planted down here and more wheat field i probably will gather that stuff up here too might as well just get it done with well we’re at the point where we have so many fields that even while i went

Through and dumped all of the potatoes i have in my inventory we still can’t gather up everything maybe with planting all the seeds out here we’ll free up enough space to be able to pick up the rest of the suite otherwise we’ve got to make a run back to the storage room

Not gonna be happening today so i’m gonna go ahead and dump all of these seeds that we have actually no no i’m not we’re just gonna let that stuff despawn next up what i was wanting to do was come over here and actually breed up a bunch of our animals because well i’ve

Been neglecting that for quite a while and i’ve been um trimming trimming the herds here and this cow is just straight up stuck in that corner he cannot get off there can anybody breed with him or is he just like stuck stuck i feel like somebody shoved him in that

Corner she’s like yep i live here now next up we’ve got the sheep not really sure what’s gonna happen if a cyan sheep breeds with a white sheep but we’ll figure it out because i know that you can actually change the color of your dyed sheet by having them breed

It’ll merge the colors so if you do a red and a white it should bring out a pink sheep as long as if that’s correct is that still the case we got cyan down here i was expecting like a light blue or something i don’t know we’ll just leave them as this

Last but certainly not least we’ve got our piggies which we i don’t think i’ve ever bred these guys up to be honest no no no we did when we made the butcher shop that’s right all right well the rest you can have some love too now these absolute failed attempt at

Chicken coops yep let’s see what we can do in here so we can breed these guys up they’ll create a new little baby outside of it and then on top of that how can i get up there what was i doing to do that and first do we have any eggs

One egg this has produced one egg for us well done let’s go in here and breathe these guys up as much as we can oh can i not reach them oh we can’t if we crouch thank you i did not want to jump down there because that is a recipe for disaster

And there we go dropping off our supplies for the day that’s a lot of carrots for ourselves and actually a decent amount of wheat here too so that’ll be awesome to have we’re almost full of seeds and wheat inside this chest let’s craft some hay bales for ourselves

Save some room where’s the crafting table in here i don’t remember i put it in here maybe yes right there one last chore that was not on my list originally but we have to do it is we’ve got to repair this pickaxe because it’s making me a little anxious

Over here don’t want to lose this one first and foremost over into our silos where we need to unfortunately grab a few more melons and pumpkins let’s get some of these guys craft up a bunch of them and take them back with us and there’s not many in here anymore we’ve been

Working so far away from this area so i feel like it’s not really producing much the hardcore world is something that i haven’t wanted to spend very much afk time in you know outside of me accidentally taking a phone call and forgetting to pause the game because

Well i don’t want to risk dying by afk in a poor position so i’ve been really avoiding that a lot of this time we’ll have to find some reason to work in this area here soon to allow all these things to grow and reproduce so we can keep building up

This area a bit further however for now it’s time for a little bit of villager trading i’m just getting some more emeralds for ourselves we can already make an emerald beacon if we wanted to so these are just for show at this point and repairing all of the tools the main

Thing come on buddies anytime now you will reset your trades the sun is high in the sky it’s trading hours my friends let me give you these sweet sweet mom melons and pumpkins mumpkins and felons i i don’t know words are hard everybody words oh there we go there we go perfect timing

And there we go ripe and ready to go with a brand new repaired pickaxe and a few more stacks of emeralds for ourselves just kidding completely forgot about the other pickaxe can we keep trading yes let’s do it probably not the most efficient experience farm but man i

Love this thing there’s something about so satisfying about trading with villagers constantly i just feel like it’s just so much more rewarding for me than just sitting there slashing at a bunch of mobs in front of me and perfect all the crops are growing up

Again and i am ready to go to get some building on now that the chores are out of the way i feel like i can really focus and not get killed by a berry bush on what we want to do today i’ll have to get some things ready here

Soon resource wise but let’s check out the area we’re working with my plan for now i think it might be easier if we fly on top of these trees picking a brand new viewing tree i want to today work on a wall that’s going to come from the corner up there

Of right probably in that area all the way along here we’ll have a gatehouse in the middle and then the wall is gonna work its way down to the river i don’t know if we’re gonna do any sort of a river gate or anything along those lines because i’m feeling like the

Restless area wouldn’t make too much sense with having a wall around it we might be able to connect it up into the mountain of sorts right over there or we can just use some natural foliage to stop mobs we have the mountain as the natural barrier on that side so it doesn’t need

A wall around it and having a wall along this edge right here doesn’t really matter since we have the river so maybe we can do a tiny little gate over there on the wooden walkway that we have which could work out and then of course we’re gonna have the castle

Structure fortress thing up there but walling off the entire farmland region on that end is not really something that i want to do so today let’s just focus on figuring out a concept and a style for what we can do over here i relate to this right here being my

Minecraft base more than i relate to all of this being my minecraft base and i think that really tells a lot about me as a person i just kind of move up from place to place inside this game but i was scrolling through some things on pinterest recently and unfortunately or funny enough

Came across one of my builds that somebody else had pinned a long time ago and i was just like oh my gosh that would be awesome that would fit in perfectly right here so we’re gonna try and make that work today i think it’ll be pretty fun

Well not the exact build but something like the build so i think what we’re gonna do here is i might actually bring it up no no we’ll go like this this will be totally fine and then we can get rid of that guy and uh replace that down here and find

Nobody knew it was there then this is one two three four and we’re going to bring it five over here and we’re using these composters as the base of some wooden pillars then in here we can do something like that and then i want to bring this one back let’s go one

So we have one two three then before that’d be five and we’re gonna go to right here so the gatehouse is gonna be a little thick now moving along from this point we’re gonna want to create a cool archway here in the center and then we’re gonna be using a lot of trapdoors

As well as spruce doors to make an actual gate for us so we’re gonna bring this up one two three and i think i want to go up to four there then we come over here one two three and four and then at this point we’re gonna bring out some spruce stairs

I want to say and do something like this and like that and then inside of here we’re just going to bring in some trapdoors to help round this out a little bit further because we can add them down here too and it creates a really cool looking archway for ourselves

Then of course we’re going to come over to this side and bring this front pillar up to that same height here too and what we can do on this is bring in a spruce stair we bring in a spruce stair and then we connect it up here in the

Center with that trapdoor again creating the archway and we’re gonna add those ones down here too so we have all this stuff in here like that looks really really cool and then we can come back inside of this point and bring in a little bit of cobblestone

Now getting the other side caught up minus the cobblestone we’re going to start to extend these little bits up here even further and i wanted to bring in some smooth sandstone to get that cool contrast to us but i forgot to smelt the sandstone down so right now we’re going to try regular

Sandstone and if it looks nice i’ll come back and add in the smooth sandstone because it’s about the same color so from far away it should look about the same is my thought you can tell i’m really confident in that statement right here i feel like a lot of building or at least

What i’m getting into recently with building is just trying new things after this however i want to start bringing in a few slabs and this is where you all might get a general idea of what i’m going with on this gatehouse design here and i think what i might do at this central

Point is just connect everything up in there then we’re going to bring in some of our oak logs and throw these ones in here and strip them all the way down previously when i’ve done this gatehouse design i did some uh fences on top of this thing i’m gonna

Leave it open and go ahead and just throw a few trapdoors right there and then we can throw a spruce trap door here spruce trap door here and then what if we did like this that way it looks like we have three little windows a little window

There a little one here and even smaller one here in the center i like that idea from the front minus the fact that we’re missing the actual gate portion i’m starting to like this a lot i think it’s looking really cool and i think it’s really starting to feel like it’s a part

Of the village is we can add a few points for some lanterns to hang out right here and that’ll be able to give ourselves a little bit of light as soon as we leave the place instead of open door and bam creeper in your face as we walk into

The wilderness of the forest if we have this coming all the way up here because that’s already extending out one i’m thinking we can go ahead and actually shorten it up and just have a bit of the cobblestone right in here the reason why i didn’t want to make all

Of the pillar scaffoldings and everything like that that we’re using with the dark oak around here is because i didn’t know what i wanted to do at that point quite yet so why waste the resources and the time putting them all down when we don’t have that idea quite in mind yet

Uh do i have any more cobblestone i don’t i got a lot more mossy though so i think if we pop a few out of this point we can actually build it up back over there and perfect exactly zero cobblestone left but if we do something like this

And then we’ll have that extending out back then i missed a spot wait there’s one on the ground haha perfect now at this point time we’ve got a little bit of busy stuff working down here and i think since we’re gonna be doing the gate

I wanted to just throw in some full dark oak logs right in here and then i think this is probably going to be a full block of spruce to be honest with how the gate’s going to be working in that point i don’t quite know yet

But i think overall this will give us a good setup for it the more full blocks we include in that area the better it’s going to be then we’ll be raising this to a slab walkway so it’s a little bit higher and we have that extra block of space to be

Working with down below and then it gives us an easy ability to walk across all this point too which would be very very nice to have and then that final bits right in here i think at this point that might be a little problematic when we’re trying to walk

Inside of here if we’re having some slabs going across it i do want to try that with the oak slabs because i feel like it’d be a little bit of a lighter roof color and draw some more attention to the gatehouse especially when you’re out in the trees now it is

Going to be very very tight at this point but i don’t think that’s going to really be a bad thing for us because i wanted to extend these all the way throughout here and we’ll just have them working up to a central point with a slab

In the center and you know as central points work that gives us a bit of a headroom right in here which is actually okay we can still look out this way and see out the front which is really sweet and do i want to do something like this

That will box us in a little bit more but i think it’s going to help the trapdoors connect a bit better and actually i don’t hate that it almost feels larger i always find it to be really interesting when you’ve come through and done a lot of things inside of minecraft

Or whatever it is that you’re doing and you find yourself almost recreating something you made back in the day or something you made many many years ago and or just even a few months ago for me as a minecraft builder i changed the style in the way that i build quite

Often so be able to do this again here and remaking my old thing that i made a long long time ago it’s kind of fun it’s really fun to see how i’ve changed my thought process in building what i’m doing differently and what i’m like looking at the old build

And being like how did i do that thing no we’re doing it this way this time for example a big goal of mine as a minecraft builder nowadays is how can i make the build small but still have a lot of detail to it let’s get this gate thing figured out

Here what we’re going to be doing is leaving a few trap doors along these routes right here then inside the centers of them we’re actually going to be throwing some spruce doors in which will be sitting right here and right here that’ll allow us to

Create a bit of a gate for ourselves the villagers can open the doors but we have a few tricks up our sleeves that we can do here that’ll stop them from doing that first and foremost we got to fill this whole thing in here with a bunch of trapdoors so we

Can actually see what’s going on now on the inside of this build the way that we stop villagers from running out is they cannot walk underneath the trap door so we do something like that and we can extend these trap doors going all the way up here it looks like we’re

Reinforcing the bit a little bit better then we flip the trapdoor open the door go through trap door door and then we move on now moving back into the build i wanted to have this end stick out two blocks because for some reason i did that

Before and it looked amazing so let’s go ahead and do that here i know we’re kind of almost following something i’ve done previously but something about just being able to copy and paste the blocks and do my own version of it this time throughout and be like oh i really like

That before but maybe let’s do it different this time has been so fun it’s really really nice to be able to do this right now and just kind of blah blah blah blah blah throughout a build and i’m having a great time with it then inside of here we’re gonna want to

Use a few more of the oak stairs that we have and create some more windows for ourselves so we can have a few more spots for guards to look out or whatever we want to call it i am liking this a lot that looks fantastic do we have more oak trap doors

We do i’m thinking we can break up a little bit of the sandstone we have in here i’m really leaning towards the smooth sandstone at this point in time but adding in a few of the oak trap doors there i think it’ll help out a lot and just like that it

Is all done now my friends i had a little walkway around here with some jungle trap doors on it a small ladder to get ourselves up the side if we want to get to the top of this place and it is looking absolutely awesome got that smooth sandstone put in the rest of

The build is finished up and i think it’s great but this gate house doesn’t do very much for ourselves when we can walk right around the outside like that so without any further ado my friends let’s go ahead and kick this off into good old fashion time-lapse mode and build up the wall

For the wall here i wanted to move forward with creating more of a wooden palisade wall that’s probably what would fit the best with our theme we have going on here then i wanted to add in two watch towers one on this side then one down by the

River just so we can have some buildings on the end of it i always find it’s awkward to end the direction that a wall is going so i figured this would be the easiest way to do it just popping a tower on it and it looks about as natural as we can

Possibly get it then of course detailing out this area a little bit further extending the wall up so it’s a bit taller and people can’t just walk over a single block and a very good addition cobblestone inside of it would be a great way to go

As well just get that extra little bit of detail and everything in there and then finally over here i thought it’d be cool to use the building itself as part of the wall structure so i could save some spruce logs for myself and just left that in there then

Built walls off the ends of it and then finally adding in that same design for the tower just kind of made that one up so i had to go back and reference it a few times but overall i think it turned out pretty well i like the end result of this stuff

And it looks great the wall and everything is now looking pretty awesome it looks so so nice over here we’ll have to come back and detail this area out soon but i’m a little bit out of time for it now because folks we’ve got to jump over and

Hard to fight thing in the game that is just going to kill everybody like they have the wither but that is something that you have to summon yourself they have creepers obviously that can sneak up on explodio but like there’s well this is a pretty awkward way to

Return from the live stream seeing the tone of my time sitting on the ground there yeah um we died i came back in a copy of the world and we’re in creative mode currently because it’s time for a final checkup on this thing folks but that that’s the series

This was a hardcore world this was meant to go until we died and that was the end of it i didn’t want to do anything weird about coming through and be like oh well i really want to finish my project so i’m gonna keep moving forward with that one

Because it just feels off i presented this as a hardcore series to you all if we came through and started building up the rest of it and come back and finishing our projects just doesn’t feel right for hardcore mode unfortunately i still have yet to fully finish a mountain range

In my time playing minecraft but that’s fine we almost made it there we got about as close as we possibly could in this one but folks holy cow we did a lot of work here on the streams getting a lot of snow placed in and with

All of this stuff and it looks fantastic i will get another time lapse video out here in the next few days most likely of the final shot of doing all of the mountain stuff here in our hardcore mode as uh we tried to build up all of it but holy cow
