In this episode of “Learning German with Minecraft,” Monday Morning is back with another exciting project. Today, they are tearing down their old house to make way for a new and improved one. As they embark on this construction journey, they will also be teaching us new German words and phrases. So, let’s dive in and have some fun!
First things first, Monday Morning grabs their tools and starts demolishing the old house. With a few swift moves, the house is reduced to rubble. Now it’s time to measure the area and start building the new house. They decide to use spruce logs for the frame, birch wood for the walls, and the new cherry wood for the roof.
After gathering the necessary materials from their storage, Monday Morning begins marking the outline of the new house using spruce logs. They plan to have an exit at the back, so they place the logs accordingly. As they work, they notice a wandering trader with llamas nearby, but they don’t need anything the trader is selling, so they continue with their construction.
To make the house bigger, Monday Morning removes some fences. They want the new house to be five blocks wide, so they count and remove the necessary fences. Once that’s done, they head to bed to rest and prepare for the next phase of construction.
The next day, Monday Morning starts building the walls. They use the spruce logs to create the inner walls of the house. Slowly but surely, the walls start taking shape, and the new house begins to emerge.
With the walls in place, it’s time to work on the flooring. Monday Morning envisions a birch wood floor on one side and a cherry wood floor on the other. They transform the birch logs into stairs to maximize their resources and lay them down as the floor in the first room. Then, they repeat the process with the cherry wood, creating a stunning floor in the second room.
Moving on to the third room, Monday Morning decides to use oak wood for the floor. They convert the oak logs into stairs and carefully lay them down, completing the flooring for this area.
Now comes the most exciting part – the roof! For the roof, Monday Morning uses spruce wood stairs and logs, as well as cherry wood stairs. They start by placing the spruce wood stairs and logs, creating the basic structure of the roof. Then, they add cherry wood stairs to give it a unique touch. To add some character, they also incorporate crossbeams using spruce wood stairs.
With the roof outline complete, it’s time to fill it in. Monday Morning uses cherry wood slabs to cover the roof, giving it a finished and polished look. The new house is really starting to come together!
The only things missing now are the windows and the door. Monday Morning realizes they are running low on glass, so they quickly gather sand from a nearby beach and smelt it into glass in their furnace. With the glass ready, they start placing windows in the rooms. They manage to install windows in the first and second rooms, and with the amount of glass they have, they might even be able to finish all the windows!
As the construction progresses, Monday Morning’s German vocabulary expands. They effortlessly incorporate new words for tools, materials, and construction techniques, making the learning experience both engaging and educational.
Stay tuned for the next episode of “Learning German with Minecraft” to see the final touches on the new house and learn more German words and phrases along the way. Until then, keep practicing your German and have fun exploring the world of Minecraft! 🏠🔨🌳
